a/n: Hey Everyone! Okay, so I lied. School turned out to be more stressful than we had remembered. So, sadly, this is the last chapter of the Prank War. We will not be able to update frequently, and we also don't want you to have to wait weeks in between updates. Before you start crying (or cheering), I want to let you know that there will be a sequel that will pick up right where this left off. We just need a break so that we can reorganize and get working on the sequel as well as work on stories that we are writing individually. Before we post it, we want to have at least a few chapters written ahead of time so we won't have to keep you waiting. When the new story is posted, I will post a new chapter on here, so anyone who is following this story will know right away. Call-me-Nicole and I want to thank everyone who read, reviewed, followed, and favorited the Prank War. The story would be nothing without you guys. Okay, here it is:

(JACK'S POV)

I screamed. And it wasn't a manly scream either.

Everyone in the party turned to look at me, but they were all blurry. Their faces smudged together and all the noises faded away. I couldn't move or think or even breathe. All I could see were…clowns.

The entire dojo looked like the inside of a three ringed circus. Balloons shaped like different animals floated around a ceiling draped with so much streamers that I was surprised that it didn't collapse. On the walls, someone had taken down the Bobby Wasabi posters and replaced them with pictures of clowns. The punching dummies had been decorated with wigs, paint, and big red noses with matching shoes.

People dressed as clowns were spread throughout the room, juggling and doing tricks. A cut-out clown car was assembled in the middle of the room and kids were taking pictures with it. In the corner, a girl whose name I couldn't remember ran a face painting station. I looked closer at the kids' faces and wished I hadn't. The handiwork of the face painter was displayed on almost every face. Each kid had their own design of a clown face.

A kid turned to say something to me. Their face grew larger even though they didn't get any closer. A huge, pale face filled my vision, wild orange hair, a dead pink nose, two demonic blue-black eyes. Suddenly, the clown fell down. No, he was right here, standing up. I saw two of them.

I tore my gaze away from the kid, but everywhere I looked, kids were yelling and falling. I tried to run, but I was frozen and my legs were shaking. The clowns were chanting my name, louder and louder. Their voices mixed together and filled my ears until I couldn't hear anything else but them, the loud thumping of my heart, and my ragged breath.

"Jack." This voice was different. I managed to look up, and I saw a flash of blonde hair. Kim was making her way towards me. I looked at her, and, suddenly, I was able to move again. I dropped everything and ran.

(KIM'S POV)

"Jack," I called. He was just frozen in the doorway, staring into space. His face was a mask of pure terror and his eyes bulged. I think he was hyperventilating. Oh, no, I thought. I tried to reach him, but there were too many kids.

I started to shove my way to him. "Jack!" I called louder. He turned to look at me, and I saw him focus on me. I smiled at him, but he just turned and ran.

"Hey!" I yelled. Everyone froze and looked over at me. "Clear a path before I make you!"

The kids moved faster than I've ever seen most of them move in their lives. I sprinted out towards Jack.

"C'mon, where are you?" I muttered as I scanned the mall. I caught a flash of brown hair and some clothes streaking away to my left. I turned and chased after him.

Bobbing and weaving through the crowded pathways, my only consolation was that Jack would be slowed down too. No matter how angry or scared he was, he wouldn't risk hurting someone by knocking them over.

Soon, we had left the mall and were running through town. I had almost lost him a couple times, but now I had a pretty good idea of where he was going. Instead of following his trail, I took a left and started towards the school.

Sure enough, I got there at the exact same time he did. In fact, we ran into each other.

"Oof!" I grunted as we collided. Jack's arms wrapped around me to keep me from falling. For a second, we stood there. Then Jack pulled away.

"What do you want?" he asked. "If you're here to make fun of me or gloat, save it, you win, okay?" He looked away from me and sat down on the school steps.

"No, that's not it. I mean," I moved to sit next to him, "I'm sorry. I blew this whole thing way out of proportion. I shouldn't have gotten so caught up in winning. This whole feud got in the way of our friendship, and I'm sorry."

He looked up at me and smiled. "I'm sorry, too. This was both of our faults. I shouldn't have done any of the things I did, especially embarrassing you on your birthday."

"Yeah," I said resting my head on his shoulder, "you shouldn't have. You kind of made me end the night early," I lifted my head and looked him in the eyes, "and I was kind of in the middle of something."

"We were, weren't we," he said. He looked as nervous as I felt. We both leaned in, closer, closer, cl-

"There you guys are!" We flew apart so fast that I rammed into the edge of the stairs and Jack fell off the side completely.

"Jerry," Jack called unenthusiastically from the ground.

"Milton," I said rubbing my side.

"We were looking for you. You ran away from the party," Jerry said, "and then you ran away, too," he pointed to me.

"Look, Jack, we had no idea-" Milton began, but Jack cut him off.

"I know," Jack said. "You didn't even want to tell me about the…"he trailed off and looked at me suspiciously. "How did you know I'd be there?"

I smirked, "of course you were going to be there. I texted everyone, someone was bound to tell you. And you can never resist a party full of people you can show off for."

He smiled at me, "You know me too well."

Milton and Jerry promised to take care of the party and clean up afterwards with strict instructions not to leave any clown stuff lying around. As they ran off towards the dojo, Jack and I watched them with a smile. When they were almost out of sight, we both got up and started to walk.

I'm not sure where we were going, but I didn't really care because sometime during that walk, Jack bumped into me playfully. And sometime during that walk, I held his hand and squeezed it gently. And sometime during that walk, he squeezed back and didn't let go.

a/n: So, there it is. We hope you enjoyed it. If you didn't know, we had a poll on my profile page to see who you wanted to win the Prank War. The winner of both the poll and the war was Kim. Thanks for all the time you spent reading the story, and we hope you enjoy it. As a final goodbye gift, we included a little sneak peak. We hope you enjoy it and that you will read the sequel whenever it comes out. Thanks again, and bye!

Did we trick you? Did you really think that was how we were going to end our story? Of course not, here's a sneak peak of the sequel:

(?'s POV)

The party is going great. Everyone is having a good time hanging out, dancing, and laughing. Almost everyone from school is here, and, judging by the amount of kids in Swathmore uniforms, a few kids from other schools. Best of all, the only thing they could talk about was Jack's entrance and equally dramatic exit. I laughed again at the memory of Jack's face and how fast he tore out of the room. Kim frantically chasing after him wasn't quite as funny, but it still earned a laugh.

I left a group of kids I had been talking to saying I have to go to the bathroom. Instead, I walk around and look out among the kids. Everyone is so absorbed in what they are doing that I am almost as invisible as the stain on the walls or the deflated balloon in the corner or the envelope on the floor.

Wait, what is that doing there? I leaned over and scoop it up. When I turn it over, I see the name KIM written in big, messy handwriting. One quick motion, and the envelope is open. I reach in and pull out the letter to read it... and smiled big.
