Chapter 11

"Did you find anything tailing him?" asked Dom.

"I found him parked a couple houses away. He didn't leave that spot the entire time. Dude is watching her every move. We need to get him out of the picture soon. Attacking Haley at the diner… blowing up Leon and Haley's cars… he's not playing. Dude is crazy." Explained Vince.

"This needs to be finished." Said Dom staring out the window at the charred pavement in front of the house.

"Did Haley tell the cops?"

"Yes. They spoke with her."

"What did they say?" asked Vince.

"They can't do anything to him because she never filed against him before now and there's no proof he had anything to do with the cars." Dom explained.

"Shit."

"Yup."

Leon pulled Haley tighter against him and buried his nose deeper in her hair.

"Mmmmm" moaned Haley wiggling against him.

"You better stop with that or something is about to go down." Leon joked quietly nuzzling her hair.

"What if I'm not oppose to that?" asked Haley.

Leon froze unsure of what to do. Unsure of what she was asking of him.

"You sure you want…"

Haley rolled and faced him. They looked into each other's eyes for a moment and before Leon could say another word she placed her hand on his cheek and kissed him softly and sweetly on his lips. Leon didn't hesitate. He took her face in his hands and deepened their kiss.

"Hey guys…" said Mia barreling in Haley's room. "Oh my bad."

Leon groaned and pulled the covers over his face making Haley chuckle as she sat up on her bed to talk to Mia.

"What's up mia?" chuckled Haley sliding her hand under her comforter and stroking Leon's stomach.

"Dom wants to have a family meeting downstairs." Mia continued smiling and shaking her head at Leon.

"What time is it?" asked Haley.

"Around 12. Come on he's waiting."

Mia left the room, closing the door behind her. Haley chuckled again as she straddled Leon feeling his aggression press against her thigh making her moan a little as she shifted off him and climbing off the bed.

"Come on LeeLee." Said Haley pulling on some shorts before pulling the cover away from Leon.

"The people in this house are plotting to kill me."

"Come on." She chuckled pulling him out of bed.

Leon groaned as he slugged behind her, following her downstairs.

"Alright so this is the plan." Announced Dom shaking his head and mean mugging Leon as Leon and Haley plopped down next to each other on the couch almost couple like. "Obviously WE know that this bitch ass Carter is behind the cars but we have to go about our days like it isn't affecting us so today we are going to go to the beach like a big happy family. He is near the house and he is watching."

Carter watched everyone file out of the house. It irked him that they acted like nothing happened. He watched Haley follow closely behind Leon, hand tucked into the bend of his arm. They all looked ready for the beach.

"Only a whore dresses like that when she's 6 months pregnant." Carter said to himself as he watched Haley and started his car.

He knew he needed to act soon. He was getting tired of living in his car.

Haley wore a white string bikini with a tasteful sheer black off the shoulder tunic that cinched just at her hips and white sandals. Her hair was thrown up in a messy bun and black and white wayfarer sunglasses covered her eyes. Leon wore his board shorts and a wife beater. He couldn't keep his eyes off Haley. How amazing she looked. Her tan skin, perfectly round belly yet toned body.

"You look beautiful." Leon whispered in her ear, making her blush and lean into him coyly as he opened the car door for her.

Haley took his hand as he helped her into the SUV Dom owned for the businesses and smiled not really knowing why. She just felt happy.

Carter followed them from a distance toward the beach. He watched as they got settled. Leon and Vince jammed the umbrellas into the sand and helped lay the towels out. He balled his fists as he watched Haley skim her hand across Leon's back as she stepped around him and he was pulling off his tank. Leon smiled at her over his shoulder and winked at her. Haley picked up the sunscreen and started massaging it into his skin.

When Leon turned toward her and she lathered his skin with the lotion he pulled her into a hug, resting his hands right above her butt. He did something to her next because she tried to pull away from him while laughing hysterically. Carter felt his heart break. He was so angry that she left him that he didn't realize that he truly loved her. She stood by his side when he was locked up again. She stood by his side during the investigation. And did her best to forgive him after every time he raised his hand to her.

To see her as happy as she was with Leon, reminded him of why he wanted to keep her for himself. His heartbreak returned to anger quickly.

"I'm finishing this today."

"Walk the beach with me?" asked Leon kneeling in front of Haley as she tanned in her beach chair.

"Help my fat ass out of this low chair." Chuckled Haley raising her hands for Leon to help her up.

"Stop it." Said Leon pulling her up and wrapping her up in his arms, hugging her firmly. "You are pregnant. Not fat. You are beautiful."

Leon went to kiss Haley but was rejected when she turned her head.

"Leon… I don't want Dom to see." Whispered Haley looking down.

Leon slowly backed away from Haley and started walking down the beach; Haley followed behind him.

"Leon… Don't walk away from me." Said Haley catching up with him and entwining her fingers with his.

"What? You can take my hand when you think Dom can't see?" questioned Leon slowing his stride so Haley wouldn't exert herself.

"It's not how you think LeeLee." Haley started to explain looking up at him as she lifted his arm around her shoulder and put her arm around his back.

"Then what is it? You're letting me give the baby my last name but you won't let me kiss you in front of Dom? What are we doing?" asked Leon stopping and pulling away from Haley.

"I don't know Leon. Everything is happening so fast. This stuff with Carter, the baby, my feelings for you… I don't know how to tell Dom."

"Feelings?"

"Come on Leon, don't play dumb. Yes feelings. You know I have feelings for you."

"I don't know anything. You clam up every time things start to go that way." Said Leon.

"Leon… I love you." Started Haley. "But I'm nervous. Just when things seem to be going great with us, our relationship crumbles."

"I'm different…."

"No I know. I don't mean you aren't. You've been amazing. My shoulder to cry on. My protector. My hero. You go out for my INSANE cravings no matter what time it is. YOU are my daughter's daddy. You deserve it."

"Then what's the problem…. Be with me Hails." Said Leon moving closer to Haley and wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his forehead against hers.

"I don't know how to tell Dom that even after so long and years away…. I'm still madly in love with the guy that broke my heart. It's like all the years were pointless if I'm going to come home just to revert back to the way I was."

"We are going back to the way we were. I'm not losing you again….Ever." said Leon taking Haley's face in his hands and kissing her sweetly as the water ran over their toes.

"We need to get home." Said Haley pulling away breathless and flushed.

Leon smiled, took her hand in his and started heading back to their group.

"I need to use the restroom." Said Haley starting to step away from Leon.

"I'll go with." Said Leon.

"No go start packing our stuff up and let Dom know we're heading out."

"I don't know Hails."

"Leon I'll be fine. I'm just going right there. 100 feet….. maybe. Besides it's not like you can go in with me. Two birds… one stone. I'll just be a minute."

"Ok." Signed Leon reluctantly letting go of her hand and watched her walk away.

Haley walked into the restroom and locked the stall. It was quiet. Surprisingly so considering how busy the beach was. She walked out and was immediately slammed against the next stall.

"Hello Haley. Miss me?" growled Carter with his hand wrapped tightly around her neck.
