Before we start the story I just want to tell you guys.
HAPPY 35TH ANNIVERSARY GUNDAM!
"I don't want to if that's possible, but in this case I have no choice but to fight!" Athrun stated shocking the two siblings. "I'm sure you guys are well aware of what the Alliance is doing here; we must stop it at all cost!"
"That's why I'm telling you to do something about the treaty and have Orb step back." He finished.
"I understand what you're saying, but we don't want you fighting against Orb, even with the way things are now. Actually, not only Orb because what is lost in battle…will never return." Kira said.
"Cut it out with your petty talks, as if you have all the answers!" Athrun yelled in anger. "Don't forget all the lives you've personally taken!"
"I know. I don't want to fight, don't make me fight." Kira replied.
"All the more reason why you must stop what you're doing and go back to Orb." Athrun said to Kira.
Moments later, The Savior then took off into the air as Cagalli, Kira and Mir watched with sadness in their eyes.
Setsuna sat in the dim light of the Exia's cockpit as he waited for the Minerva to arrive.
He thought back to his vision from when he was fighting the Freedom, Trans-Am System? Setsuna activated the Exia's cockpit and looked through the Gundam's systems until he found what he was looking for.
"Trans-am…..System." Setsuna said to himself. Even if he saw what would happen when the Trans-Am was activated in his vision, he knew that he shouldn't activate it since he didn't know what might happen. He stared at the system until he heard an alert sounded on his sensors.
"The Minerva is here." Setsuna said as he deactivated the Exia's Optical Camouflage and proceeded to the Minerva.
Space,
'Where….where am i?' were the thoughts of a purple haired man as he opened his red eyes. He found himself lying inside an open capsule.
He then climbed out of it before he fell onto his hands and knees.
"D-Damn…" He groaned out and got back up to his feet. The man then walked out of the room and into another.
After a few minutes he then came out now wearing a purple futuristic pilot suit and glasses.
"It seems it actually worked, but where are the other Meisters?" He said as he walked down a hall way and into a hanger revealing a blue and white multi-purpose MS transport carrier. He walked into the Ship's hanger and saw Four Gundams standing inside of it.
"Cherudim, Arios, Seravee and 00, There all here…" He said as he continued to walk into the ship's interior.
He walked through the dark empty ship before reaching the bridge.
"No one is here and it looks like no one has ever been…" He mumbled to himself as he activated the ship's systems. "At least the Ptolemaios 2's systems are still active, now let's see if I can find the others, and maybe see what's been going on."
He then proceeded to read the history of this new world, From the creation of the Coordinators and the start of the First Bloody Valentine War. What really surprised him was the fact that the militaries of the world were able to create these so called Gundams, though not as powerful as the Gundam's in the hanger but still.
"Did you have something to do with this…Ribbons Almark?" He asked himself as he continued to review the history of the Cosmic Era, from the creation of the first five G-Weapons to the Freedom and Justice Pseudo Gundams along with the final battle at Jachin Due and the beginning of the Second War.
The purple haired man then noticed something.
'Both of these Wars, most of the events are playing out similar to each other as if someone is trying to manipulate this war into their own.' He thought as he kept reading the information until he reached the information of the Zaft Battle ship Minerva.
He read about the ship's Captain Talia Gladys and the crew of the Minerva. Next he looked at the pilots of the ship.

His eyes widen, it couldn't be...
Setsuna F. Seiei, pilot of the Gundam Exia!
'Setsuna,b-but how!' He couldn't believe that his fellow Gundam Meister was in a… military. His eyes narrowed, could Ribbons be behind this somehow. He then opened another tab on the screen and watched a battle between the Minerva and the Earth Forces at the Lorhengrin Gate. He focused mostly on the Exia's battle, it reminded him of one of their armed interventions in the A.E.U., what caught his attention most was when a mobile suit engaged the Exia in close combat and was actually winning; the Exia then signaled the other MS and then opened its cockpit. The other mobile suit did the same and revealed Ali-Al-Sacchez.
His eyes narrowed, so he was here as well.
The Gundam Meister then changed the scene and watched the battle between the Exia and Freedom. What shocked him was that the Exia was now equipped with true Solar Reactor, how did these people get their hands on one when… he stopped himself because he already knew the answer, Ribbons Almark. He then proceeded to find the other Meisters but with no success.
"Damn it, how can things be this screwed up, from what it looks like it would seem only me and Setsuna were the only ones to make it here!" He angrily said. "I'll have to worry about that later, for now I need to find a way to contact Setsuna."
He then sat in the pilot seat of the ship and started to activate its systems. After a few moments the ship came to life.
He gripped the ships controls as the Hanger doors opened.
"CBS-74 Ptolemaios 2, Tieria Erde launching." Tieria said as the Ptolemaios launched from the hidden Celestial Being meteor base of Lagrange 3.

Phase : 011- The Purpose of a Gundam
The Minerva landed outside the facility near the Exia, and the ground forces and EOD team moved in, thoroughly searching the entire facility. They found that the entire facility had been rigged to explode, with numerous charges laid throughout the complex.
The bombs were methodically disarmed, while the ZAFT ground forces swept through each floor one by one, making sure the entire facility was clear. In addition to explosives, they were searching for any unusual chemical or biological agents as well.
"We've finished checking the inside. We've disabled and removed all explosive devices. Biological abnormalities: negative," One of the ZAFT officers reported from base camp.
"I see. Thank you," Talia replied. "So Setsuna, explain what you saw in there?" She asked the Gundam Pilot.
"The Facilities interior appeared to be a lab which was working on human experiments." Setsuna reported to her.
"Human experiments?" Talia asked.
"Captain, the Savior is here," an officer called out from one of the nearby consoles .
The Savior, in its mobile armor mode, soared overhead, before transforming back and landing next to the Exia.
Once the Savoir had landed, it powered down and Athrun disembarked and walked to Talia and her XO. "When I got back to the harbor, they told me you had taken off," Athrun explained. "So what's going on? Something unusual happen?"
"You could say that." Talia said confusing Athrun.
Meanwhile, the Earth/Orb forces continued to repair there damaged Mobile Suits from the last battle.
"While the Gaia escaped with relatively little damage, we're going to be up all night working on all the Gundams." the hanger crew said.
Neo nodded as Stella clung to his arm. "We didn't expect that they'd take so much damage in that last sortie."
"No, but we're really pushing our luck by fixing them here instead of returning to Suez."
"True, but it can't be helped. If they were damaged to the point that they could no longer function, then we'd have a good reason to go back. But Stella and the others are still healthy," Neo replied, glancing at Stella.
Another officer approached the pair. "Captain Roanoke, sir," the man said with a salute.
"What is it?" Neo asked.
"It's the lab at Lodonia sir," the officer replied. Stella frowned as Neo pulled away from her, moving towards the officer.
"There was an accident, and they failed to demolish the site. To make matters worse, ZAFT found it." The officer whispered to Neo
Neo let out a tired sigh. "Give me a break."
"We've notified Suez and they're scrambling to do something about it. I thought you should know, sir."
Talia, Arthur, Yzak, Athrun and Setsuna silently walked through the dark corridors of the facility, reeking of death as bodies laid all over the place.
Some were the bodies of doctors, nurses and orderlies. But the rest were the bodies of children.
"What in…heaven's name…" Arthur uttered, horrified at the sight. "What kind of place is this?!"
Setsuna looked around with narrow eyes. The world was still full of twistedness that needed to be fixed.
Talia pointed her flashlight at another area and saw a card, reading, Self-Destruct Authorization.
"A mutiny, that's what it looks like," Talia said. "They were going to blow up the lab but…" She trailed off, everyone realizing what had happened.
"But what's with all the children?" Arthur asked the one thing he couldn't figure out.
Sting, Auel and Stella were walking to the mess hall when Stella suddenly said, "The lab at Lodonia…"
Her male teammates stopped, looking back at her with questioning looks. "What?" Sting asked.
"What is it?" Stella asked, trying to remember why it was important.
Sting blinked in confusion, wondering why Stella was asking about it. "That lab at Lodonia? Don't you remember?"
"That's the place we lived before we came here," Auel added.
Stella spoke again, uttering, "To make matters worse, ZAFT found it…"
Once again, but froze and turned to their female teammate.
"Year 64, July… 11 rejected, 3 admitted," read out loud. "August… 7 rejected, 5 admitted."
"Rejected…admitted? What are they talking about?" Arthur asked.
"They're records," Talia answered, a noticeable tremor in her voice. "Of the arrival and departure of test subjects…of children."
"Though they detest genetic manipulation, the Alliance and Blue Cosmos are not above creating living weapons through the use of drugs and other means. Humans who exist only to fight. This is their experimental production facility. With drugs and other means, they were able to reconstruct and enhance their bodies, enabling them to compete against Coordinators. They were then subjected to the most rigorous combat training imaginable. Those who weren't competitive enough or who couldn't keep up with the rest, were discarded mercilessly. That's the kind of place this was." She read from the computer.
"Child Super soldiers." Setsuna murmured as Athrun nodded.
As Setsuna and the others were in the room upstairs, in the hall ways below two kids, a boy and a girl ran through the corridors as they looked for the exit.
"A-are you sure this is the way?" The girl who had white hair and gold eyes asked the other boy.
"We'll be fine Marie, we're going to get out of this…" the boy with hunter green hair and two different color eyes Gold (Left) Grey (Right) reassured her.
"But, Allelujah…" she began before Allelujah covered her mouth and pulled her behind a wall as Setsuna and the others appeared in the hall way. They stayed there for a few moments until Allelujah saw them disappear into another hall way.
"Allelujah…I'm scared…" Marie whispered to the older boy. Allelujah hugged her and tried to comfort her.
"We'll be fine Marie, we're going to escape this place…" he said to her.
"But what if we can't?" she asked. Allelujah looked at her with determination in his eyes as he gripped the pistol in his hands. "We will, I promise, Marie."
Allelujah and Marie then ran down the hall wall and passed the dead bodies, when they turned the corridor they both ran into Talia and the others.
Allelujah looked at them in panic before he aimed his pistol at them as Marie hid behind him.
"Whoa now…" Talia said and raised her hands as she tried to calm them down. "We don't mean you two any harm. My name is Talia Gladys. What are your names?"
From behind Talia, Setsuna looked at the boy and girl with wide eyes, he felt as if he knew these two from…somewhere.
Allelujah looked at Talia not sure if she was telling the truth. Marie then gripped his arm and whispered into his ear. "She's telling the truth…"
He then looked at the Minerva captain. "My name is…Allelujah Haptism…and she's Marie Parfacy."
"Well Allelujah and Marie, you two look tired. Would you like to come aboard our ship to rest up?" Talia asked the two.
Allelujah looked at Marie who nodded before he lowered his gun. "A-Alright…" He said to the Captain as Talia then guided them out of the Facility.
As Allelujah walked he looked at Setsuna who looked back, both of them having the sense of Deva -vu when they saw each other.
What nobody ever saw was older versions of Allelujah leaning on the wall with his arms crossed with an older version of Marie standing next to him as Allelujah looked at Setsuna.
"Well, well, well, look who it is, Mr. I am Gundam is here as well. Maybe he can tell me just what the hell is going on!" Hallelujah said in annoyance as he watched the younger version of Allelujah walk away with Marie.
"If you haven't noticed Hallelujah, Setsuna is younger when from when we last saw him as well so it's possible that he was affected as well." Soma Pieres told him as she watched Setsuna and the others start leaving the facility as well.
"Gah, whatever. The sooner he figures out what the hell is going on with the mini me's over there the sooner I can grab my damn Gundam and leave." Hallelujah stated before following the others.
Soma just sighed before she followed Hallelujah.
"I have to stop them! I have to stop them!" Auel yelled as he tried to run to hanger.
Sting grabbed him before he could. "Come on! Calm down, will ya!"
Auel broke free and spun around. "Calm down! How do you expect me to calm down!" he screamed. "That lab is the place where my mother-" Auel sudden froze with a horror expression.. "Mo… Mo…ther is…she's…still…there…"
"Hey! Cut it out Auel!" Sting said, grabbing Auel by the collar.
"Mo…ther… Mother…could… Mother's gonna die!" Auel howled in terror, tears trailing down his eyes. "Mother could… No! I can't let that happen!"
"Die?" Stella uttered in a monotone as she watched the pair.
She then started walking away like a mindless soldier. "Die…But I don't want to die… I'm scared…"
She then sprinted down the corridor, heading for the hanger.
Minutes later, Stella entered the hanger, running past several crew members as she reached the Gaia and climbed in.
She activated the system "Open that hatch!" she ordered "Open that hatch or I'll rip it apart!" she glared as the Gaia started to move.
She broke open the bulkhead and forced the hydraulic launch down before jumping and transforming the Gaia and taking off in the direction of the Lodonia lab "Lodonia Lab… protect mother…" She said.
Suddenly a Mobile Suit appeared and kicked the Gaia onto its side.
"Who did that!" Stella yelled in anger as she looked at her monitors and saw a black Mobile Suit with a gold visor in front of her.
"You should calm down young lady before you get hurt." A voice said through her comm.
"Who the hell are you!?" Stella asked as she stood the Gaia up before she heard the man chuckle a bit.
"Surprised you don't remember me Gaia Pilot." Said the man as he charged his MS at the Gaia and caused it to fall again and knocking Stella out.
Meanwhile, Neo rushed into the hanger. Instantly, he could see the empty spot where the Gaia stood and the hanger door that had been forced opened. "Who let her out?" he demanded before he saw the hanger doors forcibly opened.
But he then saw a black MS walk into the hanger as it carried the Gaia and set it down. The cockpit opened as the pilot removed his helmet and revealed his blonde hair.
"Lieutenant Graham Aker reporting for duty Captain Roanoke…" Graham saluted as he smirked at the man.
"Lieutenant, welcome back and I see you have a new Mobile Suit compared to your old custom Windam." Neo said as he smirked back at Graham as said pilot lowered himself to the platform.
"Gift from someone in the higher ups, sir let me introduce you to my Flag." Graham said as he and Neo looked up at the Over Flag.
Setsuna sat at a table with Athrun and Yzak as they thought about everything that has happened.
Talia had asked Author to take Allelujah and Marie to the Minerva so they could eat and rest up. Setsuna still couldn't help but feel as if he knew the two kids from somewhere, but question was, from where?
"This is unbelievable!" Yzak angrily exclaimed. "They go on about Coordinators being a mistake and a crime against nature, and then they create these, those damn hypocrites!?"
"I couldn't agree more," Athrun said to him.
Setsuna gritted his teeth a bit as images from Krugis and the Orb invasion came back to him. His eyes glowed as it showed him a vision of him dressed in a black pilot suit as he ran with another person who was wearing some type of space suit as they ran through a hall from machines shooting at them from behind.
"Setsuna?" Athrun's voice pulled him out of the vision as he looked up at his fellow Gundam Pilot.
"We're moving out, Captain Gladys ordered for this place to be destroyed so that the Earth Forces wouldn't be able to use any resources." Athrun said as Setsuna Nodded and headed for his Gundam to move inside the Minerva's hanger.
Archangel
Walfelt sighed as he looked out at the night sky, almost everyone had gone to bed an hour ago but he decided to stay awake just in case anything happened.
He had just finished watching the fight between the Freedom and the Sword type Gundam from Z.A.F.T. he had to admit that who every piloted that Gundam was good and he hoped that he actually had a chance to fight him like he did Kira in the first war.
He sat back on the captain's chair and sighed as he waited for something to happen.
Meanwhile Lacus tossed and turned in her sleep as she sweated a bit.
XxXx Lacus's dream XxXx
"Fire GN-Missiles!" a woman with long brown hair who sounded like Murrue Ramius yelled as a few containers missile launchers opened up and launched a pair of missiles at the closing strange red machine and took its arm off.
"He's trying to get in our blind spot!" She yelled again as another machine with red particles continued closing.
"I won't let him!" An older man said as he started typing into the command console. "I'm separating the container from the Ptolemy!"
"What's happening?" Lacus asked as she entered.
"It's Feldt?" The woman said and looked at her surprised she was here. Lacus blinked a bit from this, why did she call her Feldt?
"Here he comes!" The older man yelled as he took aim on the red machine and fired on the suit. The red machines eyes flashed as it got directly in front of a ships bridge its beam rifle at the windows. The suit fired the blast instantly and ripped into the bridge and caused it to explode.
"Christina! Lichty" the woman screamed.
"WHY YOU!" the man yelled before he fired at the MS and caused it to explode.
"Come in Chris! Lichty respond!" the woman yelled over the frequency as the smoke started to clear from the bridge.
"Please, Chris!"
A small amount of static came over the com before a woman's voice was heard. "Miss. Sumeragi…"
"Chris thank heavens you're alive!" The now identified Sumeragi smiled as she heard her voice. "Is Lichty all right?"
There was silence for a moment before the line connected again. "Feldt… are you there?"
"I'm here!" Lacus replied in worry and relief.
"I'd like you to… try harder… to stay in fashion…" Chris said as she winced in pain from something.
"Why are you saying this?" Feldt asked.
"And you have to live… for Lockon too…" Christina cried. "Guh..." she coughed over the frequency as the other survivors of the crew started to cry.
"Please do it… change this world… change it… please…" Chris weakly said as tears started to form in Feldt's eyes.
The ships bridge started to spark as it went critical and exploded.
"CHRIS!" Sumeragi screamed as they watched the explosion rip through the remains of the bridge.
"LICHTY!" The older man yelled.
Feldt let tears slip from her eyes as she watched the ship explode.
"Ahhh…" she gasped and started to sob a bit.
"CHRISTINA SIERRIA!"

Lacus eyes opened as she sat up breathing hard from the dream. Lacus looked around the room and saw that she was in her and Kira's bed.
"Lacus are you ok?" Kira asked from next to her. She looked at him and nodded.
"I'm fine Kira, it was just a dream." She answered as she shook a bit.
Kira looked at her as his eyes narrowed a bit in worry. "Why are you crying?" He asked.
Lacus's eyes widen as she touched her cheek and felt tears falling from her eyes.
The Next Day, Minerva
"The report you asked for mam…I'm sorry about the delay in getting it to you." Lunamaria said as she handed her report to Talia Gladys.
"That's fine, there was so much going on that, to be honest I wouldn't have had much of a chance to look at it anyway…" Talia said as she looked through the report
"I'm sorry for the assignment; I realize you were more or less spying on them…" She said to Lunamaria.
"It's alright Captain, after all you're a member of FAITH, and I'm pretty sure I understand why you had me do this…" Luna told her captain. "But… I umm… with your permission mam, I have some questions I'd like to ask you about this mission." She spoke.
"I'm sure you would naturally…" Talia said sighing a bit. "Alright, I'll answer what I can."
"Thank you." Luna spoke. "It's no secret that Athrun Zala left ZAFT during the later stages of the last war…and joined forces with the Archangel which had left the Earth Forces…to fight against both sides."
"Yes, it's true. And Athrun has made no attempt to hide that information." Talia told her.
"But, I understand that Chairman Durandal not only reinstated Athrun to ZAFT but also made him a member of FAITH, even though he was well aware of those facts." The young pilot said.
"Yes." Talia answered.
"Then, this latest mission…was it necessary because there are still some doubts about his loyalty?" Lunamaria asked. "Because he is a member of FAITH…and well trusted by the Chairman, we've all obeyed his orders…well some of us." Luna said softy as she remembered that Setsuna didn't follow orders at times. "And if that's the case-" She was then interrupted by Gladys.
"That's not what this is all about Lunamaria." The Captain spoke. "I don't blame you for thinking this way, even I thought about it…but I believe the objective of this mission was to gather Intel on the Archangel. I have no doubt in my mind that he is honest, with a strong sense of justice. I don't see any chance of him being a spy or betraying us…and I doubt that anyone else thinks that, even Setsuna." She said as Luna gasped a bit at that fact.
"But who knows with the Archangel." Talia finished as Luna gasped a bit.
"The minute you leave this room, I want you to forget every detail you monitored." The captain ordered as Luna started to think about what the Freedom's pilot said about the fake Lacus and how the real one was on the Archangel.
"Lunamaria?" Talia's voice snapped Luna out of her thoughts. "Is there anything else you need?" She asked the young girl.
"Actually, there is one more thing I need to report." Luna said to her.
Allelujah sighed as he sat in his bed while Marie slept peacefully in the other one. Captain Gladys had been generous enough to give them a room on board the battle ship for the time being as Refugees of war, but Allelujah knew that was just a cover till they found a place to go. The young boy sighed as he looked at Marie, she looked so peaceful now unlike back at the Lab.
Allelujah knew he and her were different compared to the other test subjects at the lab, apparently he and Marie used a special type of brain wave that made them into a new type of Super Soldier.
XxXx Vision XxXx
"Ahh…It can't be! That pilot Soma Pierres is actually Marie, did you know this Hallelujah!?" an older Allelujah asked as he held his head in pain while he sat in a mobile suit cockpit.
"If you had known…you would no longer fight back you'd just die…" answered a darker version of Allelujah's voice.
Allelujah glared a bit still in pain.
"Don't worry it's alright…it doesn't matter either way…I'll be going first…" Hallelujah said before he became silent.
"Hallelujah…does this mean…it can't be…Hallelujah…"
XxXx End Vision XxXx
Allelujah blinked, what did he just see.
"As you can see, at its heart the plan is quite simple. If all goes well, we should easily be able to take out the Minerva if we attack it here." Neo said as he briefed Yuna and Todaka on their next mission.
"Yes, but are you sure things will go this smoothly?" Todaka asked. "First of all, how reliable is the intelligence you're basing this on? Spreading a net like this is not in itself a bad idea, but if the Minerva..."
"Hey, that's enough. There's no use being so negative after we've come all this way." Yuna interrupted, "I wouldn't bring our fleet all the way out here on a wild guess. There's no doubt that the Minerva will follow this route to Gibraltar."
"They'll be setting sail any minute!" Yuna continued as Neo smirked. "The Captain and I have already gone over the details of the operation. All you need to worry about is what to do once it shows up."
The doors to the bridge opened as Graham walked in before he saluted Neo
"Lieutenant Aker what can I do for you?" The masked man asked.
"Sir, I would like to ask for your permission to handle the Minerva's Gundam personally." Graham answered as almost everyone in the room looked at him; they had all seen said Gundam in action and how it was able to fight off the Freedom.
"Are you sure, that pilot has exceptional talent, he managed to fight off the Freedom." Neo said but it only caused Graham to smirk.
"Let me worry about that sir, besides I believe its fate for me and him to fight again." He said as Neo smirked back at his Lieutenant.
"Alright, you have my permission as long as you don't do anything to jeopardize your life."
"Roger that sir." Graham said saluting again before leaving the room. "It's time for us to finally meet again… Gundam."
Archangel
"The Orb Forces are gathering in Crete!?" Cagalli said in shock at the news.
"Which means they're most likely after the Minerva again." Murrue said as she remembered what happen last time.
"Yes ma'am." Chandra replied. "We still don't have confirmation, but that is how we should interpret this."
"A strategic arrangement…" Neumann said. "Based on the assumption that the Minerva will be going to Gibraltar. The Alliance is showing signs of desperation." He finished as Kira and Mirriallia walked in.
"What is it?" Kira asked as they all looked in shock at Mir's return.
Suddenly one of the Archangel's consoles started to beep as Miriallia checked it out.
"It's a coded message; The Minerva is leaving the Sea of Marmara." She said as Kira winced a bit as he heard the ships name, he still remembered the battle he had with the Gundam from that ship.
"Advancing southward." Mir finished as everyone gasped a bit while Cagalli's eyes widen at the news, they were heading to the Orb/EA Fleet.
"That confirms it." Murrue said. "The Orb Forces will confront the Minerva again at Crete."
"Ship silhouette detected!" said an Orb officer as Todoka was surprised by this. "Distance sixty. At eleven o'clock!"
"Now, let it begin!" Neo said as all the pilots made their way to their Mobile Suits.
Graham sat in his Over Flag as he waited to launch. "Here I come Gundam."
Minerva
"Ship silhouettes straight ahead." Bart announced from his station.
"What did you say?" Arthur asked in shock.
"What about the Earth Forces carrier?" Captain Gladys asked Bart.
"Cannot confirm!" he announced to the bridge.
"Keep searching for it!" She ordered. "It's unlikely the Orb Fleet are alone."
"Yes ma'am!"
"Lower the bridge!" Gladys ordered everyone. "Give the Condition Red order!"
"Yes ma'am!" Meryin said as the bridge started to lower. "Going to Condition Red, Going to Condtion Red!"
"All pilots are to board their machines and standby." Meryin's voice echoed in the halls as Setsuna ran down the corridor to the hanger. He passed by a room as Lunamaria came out and ran next to him.
She looked at him as he looked at her in the eye before they nodded to each other and kept running.
The Orb fleet launched their Mobile Suits as the Pilots of the Minerva prepared for combat.
"Have the Exia and the Savior launch!" Captain Gladys ordered.
"Yes Ma'am." Meyrin responded.
"30 to starboard put us on an easterly course!" She ordered again
"GN-System exit repose, priority passed to Setsuna F. Seiei." The raven haired Gundam pilot said as the GN-Drive started up.
"Activating Phase-Shift armor…" Athrun said from the Savior as the Gundam colors changed to red.
"Distance: 40 until we're in firing range of target." An Orb officer said.
"Any Mobile Suits form the Minerva yet?" Todaka asked.
"Nothing yet, sir."
"Great we win!" Yuna exclaimed. "Now then, let's shower them with type eight fragmentation shells!"
"All guns…Fire!" Todaka ordered as the ships fired their guns.
"They've opened fire!" Bart exclaimed.
"Don't send out the Mobile Suits, evade as we intercept!" Gladys ordered as the missiles closed in.
The Minerva started firing its weapons at the incoming missiles. But as the missiles exploded beams erupted from the explosion and hit the Minerva damaging the ship.
The crew braced themselves as the ship shook.
"Shrapnel has penetrated the upper armor to the second level!" Bart announced.
"Damn it was a shower of self-forging fragments." Arthur said angrily.
"Damage control another ten to starboard!" Gladys said.
"Three more Orb ships at Nine o'clock!" Bart yelled as Gladys and Arthur eyes widen.
"Nine Murasames above at two o'clock!" Meyrin announced.
"Send out Athrun and Setsuna now!" Gladys said. "Aim the Tristans and Isolde at the portside emeny fleet!"
"Yes ma'am!" a ZAFT officer said as the weapons on the Minerva readied for battle.
That carrier should be around somewhere, hurry up and find it!" She ordered.
"Exia, Setsuna F. Seiei launching." Setsuna said as the Exia launched from the Minerva.
"Athrun Zala, Savior taking off!" Athrun yelled as the Savior was next to launch out of the Minerva.
The Exia and Savior flew together towards the battle field as most of the Orb pilots looked at the two Gundams with a nervous look.
Archangel
"Dammit!" Cagalli said as her fists hit the console in front of her. Kira looked at her with sadness before looking at everyone with a determined look.
"Let's head out." He said as the crew looked at him with shock.
"It's like what Lacus said." Kira said as Lacus looked at him. "First, decide."
"And then do it…" Lacus finished as she remembered this conversation with Cagalli. "It's the only way to achieve anything, I'm sure."
"Kira…Lacus…" Cagalli spoke softly.
"That's why you should go." Kira said as the crew looked at each other and nodded.
Neumann sat in his chair. "The Archangel will prepare for takeoff!" he said activating the systems.
Cagalli looked at them in shock before Miriallia but a hand on her shoulder. "Move please." She smiled. "You have other things to do, I'll take that seat."
"Miriallia…" the orb princess spoke.
"Are you sure Miriallia, you freed yourself from…" Murrue began before Miriallia interrupted her.
"I'm sure Captain." Mir smiled as Murrue's eyes widen a bit, for a second she saw someone else in Mir's place. She shook her head, not the time for this.
"Take this!" Auel yelled as the Abyss flew out of the ocean and fired at the Exia. The GN-Gundam spun in a 360 motion into the air dodging the beam before it fired on the EA Gundam. The Abyss narrowly dodged the shot as it fell back into the water below.
The Chaos fired at the Savior repeatedly with its linear cannons and its powerful beam cannon mounted on its upper back. Athrun dodged the attacks before he countered with the Savior's rifle, but Chaos dodged.
Seeing as the deadly Gundam's were preoccupied the Murasame's attacked the Minerva. The hanger doors to the Minerva opened as the ZAKU's and Verde Buster launched and landed on the battleships upper deck.
"Let's do this!" Dearka yelled as he fired his weapons at the Murasame's along with Luna and Rey.
Inside the ship Yzak gritted his teeth since he wouldn't be able to join the battle because of the Blu-Duels damage from the last battle as Shiho remained since the Ageis was under repair as well.
Meanwhile far from the battle the Archangel surfaced as it took the air.
Inside the hanger the Strike Rouge was ready to launch.
"Cagalli Yula Athha. Strike Rouge is heading out!" She said as the Strike was catapulted from the ship as the phase shift armor activated.
Next the newly repaired Freedom was set onto the catapult as it prepared to launch.
"Kira Yamato. Freedom Taking off!" He said as the Freedom shot out of the Archangel and flew with the Strike Rouge to the battlefield.
"Tristans, Isolde, Fire!" Arthur yelled before the Minerva fired at the closing Orb fleet. More and more Orb MS's were destroyed as the Verde Buster and the two ZAKU's along with the ships defenses.
"Orb fleet still closing in from nine o'clock!" Burt warned as he typed on the console in front of him. The Orb ships then fired a wave of missiles at the ZAFT battle ship.
"Arthur, anti-ship missiles." Gladys said. "Have Rey and Lunamaria hold them off as Dearka continues to hold off those Murasames!"
"Yes ma'am!" Arthur said relaying the order as Captain Gladys looked at screen in front of her.
"So they're planning on surrounding us at Crete." Gladys said to herself. "This isn't good. If we change course the other fleet will head us off."
"Take this!" Lunamaria yelled as her ZAKU fired another round at the enemy Mobile Suits.
Rey gritted his teeth as he fired missiles at the enemy.
The Exia slashed through another enemy before the cockpit's alarms went off as Setsuna looked around and saw a black mobile armor as it flew towards him.
"What kind of Mobile armor is that?" Setsuna asked himself as he fired his GN-Rifle at the MA but was shocked to see the armor dodge his shots and close in.
Graham smirked as he looked at the Exia.
"Another chance to fight the Gundam." He said as he pushed the Flag's thrusters even harder as he pulled up off of the surface of the water and approached the Exia and opened fire the linear rifle as the beams streaked towards the Exia.
The Exia rolled in the air and dodged the shots and then the Flag as it streaked past before it turn to come to face the Exia again it transformed and Setsuna opened fire only to watch the Flag roll and dodge the shots with ease. "He's fast!" Setsuna said.
'We can't turn back. We can only force our way through!' Gladys thought as she watched the battle.
The Verde Buster fired again as it hit another Murasame. Suddenly the Abyss flew out of the water again and fired at the Buster. "It's payback time!"Auel yelled as he fired his weapons.
Dearka noticed and gritted his teeth as he fired at the Abyss. He had no choice but to jump off the Minerva's deck so that no other damage would fall upon it as the Abyss chased him.
"Today you die!" Auel screamed as the Abyss pulled out its Beam Lance at charged at the Verde Buster as said Gundam grabbed onto a nearby Murasame and stole it's Beam Saber and slashed it before blocking the Abyss.
At another side of the battle the Savior fired its rifle at an Orb Astray before using its beam saber to disarm another Murasame. Athrun couldn't help but think about what Kira said before his cockpits alarm went off and he transformed the Savior to Mobile Armor mode as an Orb Mobile Armor followed him.
"Hey you asleep or something." Sting said as the Chaos fired at the Savior. Athrun gritted his teeth as he dodged the shot and remembered what Hiene said about who Athrun wouldn't mind fighting.
"Stop running you coward!" Sting yelled as the Chaos fired again along with a Murasame.
Athrun kept flashing back to his meeting with Kira and the others.
"Damn!" he said before he transformed the Savior and turned to attack.
Graham smirked as he raised the linear rifle and fired. Setsuna gritted his teeth as the Exia dodged the shots. Suddenly the Flag appeared above him.
"Got you!" Graham yelled.
Setsuna glared as he killed the GN-Vernirs and dropped downward into the ocean as more shots rained down around him.
Graham glared. "In this Flag, I'm able to stand up to the Gundam, but then it turned out to have under water capability, you're just a little too versatile Gundam…" he said as he watched as the ripples on the ocean's surface as he waited for the Exia to reappear.
Suddenly the water behind the Flag exploded upward as the Exia shot out and fired its GN-Drive at him. Graham pulled the Flag up and dodged the shots, The Exia charged as it grasped its GN-Long Blade and Short Blade. Graham smirked as he pulled out his sword and charged at the Exia
XxXx Vision XxXx
"It's a Flag, with a pseudo solar reactor!" Setsuna said in shock as the Flag closed in.
"I've so wanted to meet you; I've wanted to meet you so much GUNDAM!" Graham yelled in rage as he closed in on the Gundam.
The Flag then activated its beam saber hooked directly into the GN-Drive, and charged at the Exia.
The Gundam activated its GN-Sword and blocked the attack.
"That's a beam saber!" Setsuna said in shock as his eyes widen as he looked at the machine.
XxXx End Vision XxXx
Exia and the Flag's swords locked together as both machines tried to gain the upper hand.
"The Missile launchers on the Sokowatatsumi have been destroyed!" said an Orb officer. "Kuramitsuha is moving to the front."
"Altering target route to 2400!" another said.
"Let's go, send the second battle group closer to the front!" Yuna said impatiently to his soldiers. "We have to keep the pressure on them!"
"The Minerva still has full use of her weapons." Tokada said to Yuna.
"What are those Murasame teams doing then!?" Yuna snapped. "Whats taking so long!"
"A real battlefield is far different from those games you play!" Tokada said angrily. "It's not that simple."
Yuna gritted his teeth at the captain.
More and more Orb MS's fell as the Minerva fired its weapons. Far from the battle Neo watched from his battleship.
"Forget about their Mobile Suits!" Lieutenant Baba yelled from his Murasame. "We'll leave that to the guys from the Earth Forces, we're going after the Minerva!"
"Lieutenant Baba!?" one of his comrades said in shock.
"The fight is over if we can take it out!" Baba said before he and his squadron began their assault.
"Twelve Murasames approaching us from starboard, rear!" Meyrin yelled from her station.
"Don't let them lock onto us!" Gladys ordered. "Shoot them down!"
"Roger that ma'am!" said one of the crew members as the Minerva's guns started to fire more rounds.
Luna and Rey noticed Baba's squad approaching as they fired at the Murasame team but it was to lkate as the Orb team fired there missiles and hit the Minerva.
In one of the Minerva's rooms, Allelujah and Marie sat on the bed as Marie hugged him.
"I'm scared Allelujah!" The white haired girl said as she clung on to him.
"I'll be alright Marie, we're gonna get out of this, just be brave ok." Allelujah said holding her.
Meanwhile the smoke cleared as the Minerva's bridge section was destroyed but luckily for the crew that the bridge lowered for combat.
Rey was not as lucky as his ZAKU was missing an arm and systems were down.
Lunamaria raised her ZAKU as she glared at the enemy. "I won't let you do any more damage; I'll be strong like Setsuna!" She exclaimed before she fired at the Murasame squad.
The Savior appeared as well as it took down two Murasames. Baba glared at the Gundam.
The Savior then dodged two beams before transforming again as the Chaos flew by.
"Stop running!" Sting yelled as he chased after the Savior, the Red Gundam transformed again and fired at the Chaos.
"Where are the Savior, Exia and Verde Buster?" Gladys asked frustrated.
"The Savior is in battle with the Chaos as the Buster is fighting the Abyss!" Meyrin said as she checked the monitors.
"What about Exia!?"
"You're finished!" Sting yelled as he fired at the Savior as the Gundam dodged all the shots from the stolen Gundam.
"You won't get me!" Auel smirked as he fired the Abyss's cannons at the Verde Buster. Dearka glared as he fired back at the Earth Forces stolen unit.
Exia and the Flag clashed again before the Flag kicked the Exia back, The Gundam held its folded the sword and fired at the Flag with its GN-Rifle. Setsuna growled as he fired more GN-Particle Beams at the Flag but the MS just kept dodging the shots.
"Let's go again!" Baba ordered as his squad prepared another run at the Minerva.
Athrun and Dearka gasped as the Murasames closed in and they knew they wouldn't make it in time.
"Captain!" Arthur cried out.
"Hard to port, engines at maximum thrust!" Gladys ordered out.
On the deck Rey's damaged ZAKU continued to fire its rifle at the Murasames with Luna.
Baba yelled as his Murasame broke through the ZAKU's and pointed its gun straight at the Minerva's bridge as the crew gasped in fear.
Suddenly a beam shot down and destroyed Baba's rifle. The Freedom accelerated as it pulled out its beam saber and sliced through two Murasames wings. The Bridge crew of the Minerva, Dearka, Athrun, Rey and Luna gasped at its sudden appearance as Setsuna's eyes narrowed at the Gundam while Graham looked with interest.
"The Freedom…" Athrun whispered to himself. "Kira!"
From behind the Freedom, the Archangel and Strike Rouge flew and came up on the Legendary Gundam. The Strike Rouge then flew ahead.
"Orb Forces, Cease fighting and withdraw your troops at once!" Cagalli's voice came through the Strikes speakers. The Archangel fired its weapons in between the Minerva and Orb ships as everyone looked at the Strike.
Setsuna glared at the Gundam again, they were trying to do this like last time.
"Orb must not fight like this!" Cagalli yelled. Athrun glared a bit at it. "You won't protect anything like this, don't be slaves to the Earth Forces. Remember the ideals of Orb! And that they are the basis of the Orb Forces!"
Setsuna grasped the Exia's controls tightly; this girl was the prime example on why this world was twisted. All she cared about was her own damn country's laws and tried to enforce them onto the world at the end of the last war, and now she was interfering yet again for her own selfish reasons and didn't care about the rest of the world.
The Exia pointed his GN-Rifle at the Strike Rouge and fired surprising everyone yet again. The Freedom moved in front of the Strike yet again and blocked the shots with his shield and it damaged a bit before Kira pulled out his Beam Saber and charged at the Exia.
"Kira!" Athrun yelled transforming the Savior and following after the Freedom. The Exia charged as well as it continued to fire its GN-Rifle.
"Oh no you don't!" Graham said as he followed the Exia.
The Exia unfolded its GN-Sword as the Freedom closed in and swung its beam saber only for the GN-Gundam to dodge surprising Kira a bit. Setsuna growled as he swung the GN-Sword at the Legendary Gundam only for it to fly up and dodge.
"Kira, stop this!" Athrun roared as the Savior pulled out its own beam saber and continued its charge.
"Athrun!?" Kira said in surprise as the Freedom and Savior collided together.
"You were supposed to go back to Orb!" Athrun yelled at Kira through the com. Setsuna watched the two Gundams and was about to charge before an alert went off and he dodged a blast from the Flag.
"Don't forget about me Gundam!" Graham yelled as he pulled out his Sword yet again and clashed with the Exia's GN-Sword.
What they didn't notice was the Chaos and Abyss closing in on the four of them as a Damaged Verde Buster followed after them.
"Don't know what's going on but you guys keep messing things up!" Auel said. Dearks glared as the Verde Buster followed.
"Dammit!" He swore as he increased the Gundam's thrust.
"What are you daydreaming about Yuna Roma?" Neo asked through the ships com as the Yuna, Todaka and the others jumped a bit from his voice. "Have you forgotten what we talked about, destroy those ships!"
"Captain Todaka?" A crew member asked as Todaka looked down.
"We have no authority to refuse!"
"I-I know that!" Yuna yelled before looking at Todaka. "Get the Minerva, hurry up and destroy that ship. All we're required to do is sink that thing!"
"Stay back, Kira!" Athrun yelled as he swung his beam saber at the Freedom as it dodged. "Your interfering only brings chaos to the battlefield!"
From the Strike Rouge, Cagalli watched as the Savior and Freedom continued its battle.
Sting laughed as the Chaos closed in. "I've got you guys!" he yelled before he fired at the Freedom and Savior as the two Gundams dodged. Sting's eyes widen as the Freedom got behind it and disarmed it of its arms and weapons. Sting screamed as the Chaos fell into the ocean below.
"Kira." Athrun said as he glared at the machine. On the other side of them, The Exia and Flag continued its battle. Exia grabbed its beam daggers and threw them at the Flag as Graham gritted his teeth and dodged the first one but the second beam dagger ripped through his Linear Rifle.
Graham gritted his teeth as blood dripped from his mouth; the G-force was too much for his body to take but he didn't care, as long as this Gundam gave him a worthy battle.
"Captain!?" Arthur said in shock as an image of the Archangel appeared on the screen.
Talia glared at it. "Even though they may have no hostile intentions towards us…we suffered extensive damage because of that ship's intervention last time."
"We will consider that ship to be an enemy." Talia announced to the crew who were a little shocked by this claim but agreed none the less.
The Exia flew near the ocean as it fired at the Freedom who dodged the shots and was about to charge at the GN-Gundam, but the Savior got in its way.
"Stop it, Kira!" Athrun roared as he launched at the Freedom which dodged the red ZAFT Gundam. Kira suddenly got an alert from his cockpit and dodged a sword as the Flag appeared.
"So you're that Legendary Gundam, Freedom. Let's see how I measure to you!" Graham yelled as he swung his sword at Kira.
The Abyss rose from the water and was about to attack but it suddenly dodged left as the Verde Buster closed in.
"You again!" Auel roared as he fired at the Verde Buster and hit its Energy Beam cannon and its Gun launcher causing them to explode off the Gundam.
"You Bastard!" Dearka yelled as blood dripped from his forehead before he turned his Gundam and fired his beam rifle at the Abyss directly in the cockpit before the Verde Buster exploded a bit. Auel eyes were wide as he died as the abyss exploded into pieces.
"Gotcha…" Dearka murmured before he passed out as the heavily damaged Verde Buster sunk into the ocean.
The Exia and Freedom were now trading blows as the Savior and Flag were fighting each other.
"It's like a Gundam free for all!" Graham smirked as he continued his battle with the Savior.
The Exia swung its GN-Sword at the Freedom, but the Legendary Gundam dodged the sword and swung its own Beam Saber at the GN-Gundam but it blocked the beam saber with its GN-Shield.
"All members of the Orb Forces are to attack the Minerva. I repeat all forces are to attack."
The Orb ships started to fire yet again as battle continued, Cagalli just watched in shock as everything happened around her.
Another platoon of Murasames launched themselves at the Minerva to attack.
"Stop!" Cagalli yelled as the Strike Rouge moved in front of the murasames.
"Lady Cagalli!" Baba yelled in shock as his MS stopped.
"What reason does Orb have to attack that ship!?" Cagalli questioned. "You mustn't attack it, Orb doesn't fire at anyone who is not an enemy!" By now the Murasame pilots were confused as they though is this was the real Cagalli or not.
"Shut up!" Baba yelled as Cagalli and the other Orb pilots froze. "These orders come directly from our nation's current leader, Yuna Roma Seiran!"
Cagalli gasped in shock as Baba continued. "His intentions are now the nations, as soldiers of Orb; it is our duty to carry out his orders!"
"But how could you…" Cagalli asked.
"This is our path. And as unfamiliar or difficult as it may be…we must stick to it, whatever it takes!"
"Do you understand that!?" Baba yelled as Cagalli eyes widen as the battle continued around them.
The Exia was back to fighting the Flag as the Savior and Freedom fought once again.
"However…" Cagalli began.
"Please move aside!" Baba yelled interrupting her. "We have been prepared for this since the moment we left our nation…that this could be where we die."
"But…"
"If you don't move aside, I will remove you by force!" Baba finished before charging at the Strike Rouge and throwing the Gundam towards the Archangel.
The Freedom and Savior paused their battle as the watched the Strike be thrown away.
"Cagalli!" Kira yelled in worry for his sister.
"You will witness our tears and our determination!" Baba yelled before he and the rest of the Murasame's attacked the Minerva.
"Take this!" Lunamaria screamed as she fired at them.
The Exia pushed the Flag back before Setsuna noticed that the Minerva was under attack.
"The Minerva!" Setsuna said before the Exia started to move towards the ship as the Flag followed from behind.
"Where do you think you're going Gundam?" Graham asked as he followed the Gundam. The Flag blocked the Exia as both swords clashed again.
"Apologies for taking your life!" Graham yelled as the swung his sword vertically at the Exia, Setsuna dodged it and drew a Beam Saber.
"AHHH!" Setsuna yelled as he swung the Exia's Beam Saber and sliced the Flag's right arm off before kicking the Mobile Suit away.
"What!?" Graham said in shock before looking at the Exia. "Don't forget me young man." He said as the Flag retreated. As he did Graham wondered why he called the Gundam Pilot Young Man.
Setsuna watched the Flag leave before he started to make his way towards the Minerva. Something caught his eye as a Murasame fired its missiles at Lunamaria's ZAKU as Setsuna's eyes widen as he watched the area around the ZAKU exploded.
"Lunamaria…" Setsuna said her name to himself. He then narrowed his eyes as he fired at the Orb mobile suits destroying them one by one. Baba glared as he piloted his Murasame into the Minerva's main gun causing it to burst in a hellish explosion.
Cagalli let tears fell from her eyes.
"Main guns and starboard catapult have been demanded, fire on board!" Arthur announced.
"Hurry up and put the fires out!" Yzak ordered as he, Shiho and the others tried to put flames on board.
'Dammit, where is everyone!' Yzak thought.
"CIWS operating at 40 percent," Arthur reported.
"Lunamaria's machine is badly damaged, we're bringing it in!" Meyrin reported in worry for her sister.
Inside the Exia, Setsuna glared at the red ZAKU. Lunamaria….she was hurt. Setsuna didn't know why but…he was feeling something that he never felt before for anyone…And when he looked down at her hurt form, all he felt was anger. He wanted revenge on those who hurt her; he wanted revenge for all his fellow pilots who have been removed from the battle.
Setsuna's eyes flashed gold once again a bit as he glared at the Orb/EA Fleet.
We're almost there, finish it off!" Neo ordered as the com opened revealing Graham.
"Apologies sir, but I had to retreat." Graham said with shame in his voice.
"Don't worry Lieutenant Aker; we're almost finished with this battle." Neo said smirking a bit.
"Th-This is good, this is what we should be doing!" Yuna said in happiness as Todaka gritted his teeth. "As long as we destroy the Minerva…"
The Orb fleet continued to fire as they hit the water near the Minerva.
Meanwhile the Freedom and Savior continued their battle as both the Gundam's Beam Sabers clashed together.
"Athrun!" Kira yelled in anger as he continued to fight.
"The Earth Forces are the ones who set this up!" Athrun yelled. "Are you guys saying that the Minerva should be sunk as long as the Orb fleet survives!?"
"Why can't you understand?!" Kira said as he stared at the Savior.
"I told you to go back!" the ZAFT pilot spoke again. "You say you don't want to fight, yet here you are fighting!"
The Exia continued to slash through the Murasames and Astrays as it protected the Minerva the best the Lone Gundam could. Rey's ZAKU continued to defend it from its post.
"Setsuna, go for the ships!" Rey's voice said through the com's of the Exia.
"Roger that." Setsuna replied as the Exia shot towards the Orb ships, The Gundam moved as it spun in a 360 motion and slashed through the first ship's bridge before it threw its Beam Dagger into another.
"Stop it!" Cagalli yelled as the Strike Rouge flew at the Exia, Kira saw this and followed as Athrun followed him.
"I understand what you're saying Athrun, but…" Kira began.
The Exia charged as it sliced threw another Astray as Setsuna pulled out the Exia's two Beam Sabers before he landed on another ship hard in the center causing it to crack in two. Exia then slashed at the bridge of the ship and moved the Exia as the ship exploded.
"But at this moment Cagalli is crying!" Kira continued as Athrun recoiled a bit. "She's crying right now, because she didn't want things to turn out like this, why can't you understand that!?"
Exia rolled in the air as it fired its GN-Rifle at a few missiles before using the beam sabers to slice through the rest.
"And yet, you're saying that this battle, these sacrifices…can't be helped, that this is all Orb's and Cagalli's fault?!" Kira yelled at Athrun but what they didn't know was that Setsuna was listening as well, but these words that the Freedom pilot spoke was only idiotic to the raven haired pilot. "When you say that, you're attacking the exact thing Cagalli is trying to save!"
"Kira…" Athrun spoke a bit.
"If so, then I will defeat you!" Kira said as he activated Seed Mode and charged at the Savior with its Beam Sabers. Athrun tried to react but the Freedom was too quick and sliced off the Gundam's right arm. Kira swerved the Freedom again as he sliced off the Saviors legs and head and watched as the Red Gundam fell into the waters below.
"Athrun!" Meyrin yelled as everyone on the bridge looked at her. "The Savior was…"
"Orb Forces carrier approaching!" Bart announced. "12 o'clock, Distance 2000, they're firing missiles at us!"
"Evade and Intercept!" Gladys ordered as her ship fired its counter measures. "What is that ship thinking coming right at us?"
The Minerva destroyed most of the missiles but most were still able to hit the mighty warship just as the Minerva hit the Orb ship.
"Stop, don't do this, Takemikazuchi!" Cagalli cried as tears fell from her eyes.
Rey glared as he and the Minerva fired at the Orb Lead Ship damaging it more.
Exia landed on the ship as it batted off two Mobile Suits guarding it before he fired at the closing Strike Rouge. Cagalli tried to dodge but couldn't as an Orb Murasame took the hit for her.
Exia, the Minerva and Rey continued to destroy the ship. Exia flew into the air as he slashed at more mobile suits and destroyed them. Meanwhile Todaka had ordered everyone to abandon ship.
"I will take responsibility for everything!" He said to everyone on the bridge. "You're in charge from now on!" He said to his second in command. "If you've decided to sacrifice your life…then take those who share your beliefs, and go to the Archangel!" Todaka yelled before he grabbed his lieutenant. "I'm sure that someday they will find the right path!"
"Captain Todaka…" the man spoke.
"Please!" Todaka begged. "For me, and for those who regretfully lost their lives today!"
"Now go!" Todaka gave his final order as he let him go. The crew gave the Captain one last salute before abandoning the ship.
The Freedom shot at the final ZAKU of the Minerva as it hit the machines arm causing it to explode off the ZAKU.
Exia flew as it pulled out both its Beam Sabers again and slashed through the Bridge Todaka stood and killed the honorable Orb Captain as Cagalli cried.
Neo and his soldiers saluted the ship as it exploded before ordering their troops to pull back. The battle was over for them.
Exia floated in the air as Setsuna watched the remains of the ship sink. Suddenly his sensors went off as he turned and saw the Freedom hovering near him.
Both Gundams seemed to be staring at each other as if waiting for one of them to make a move.
From the Archangel, Lacus stared into the monitor as she watched both Gundams. She remembered the state the Freedom was in after the battle between the two last time and she only hoped that they wouldn't fight today.
From the Minerva, the Bridge crew members watched from their screen as both Gundams hovered in the air as the atmosphere grew tense. Talia knew that the Exia was the only Gundam left on the battlefield and that Setsuna wouldn't retreat.
Meyrin eyes formed tears as she looked at the Exia, Setsuna was like an older brother to her ever since she and Luna met him at the Academy and she didn't want him getting hurt like Lunamaria or worse…
Meanwhile in the ocean holding on to a floating piece of debris, Dearka looked up at the two Gundams. He was forced to abandon the Verde Buster as it was to damage to even move.
"What are they waiting for?" Dearka asked as he saw Exia and Freedom just floating there staring at each other.
Both Kira and Setsuna looked at each other in silence before Kira spoke. "Last time…last time we fought you told me how I didn't know what it means to be a Gundam."
Setsuna narrowed his eyes as he heard Kira talk, where was he getting at. The Minerva and Archangel grew silent as they heard Kira speak.
"I want to ask you, what is the purpose of a Gundam to you," Kira asked as Setsuna stared a bit before answering.
"A Gundam is a symbol…" The Raven haired pilot began. "An embodiment of the eradication of war,"
On the Archangel Lacus's eyes widen a bit hearing this as she remembered hearing it before somewhere…
Murrue was also listening to this carefully.
"You don't know what it means to be a Gundam…because all you're doing is using it selfishly, only using it to protect Orb a single country out of the rest of the World." Setsuna finished. Kira clutched on the Freedom's controls as he thought about what Setsuna said.
"Why…why do you fight then?" Kira asked as Setsuna eyes widen at the question. "You say that a Gundam is the embodiment of the eradication of war yet you're using it to fight for the PLANTS!"
Setsuna closed his eyes before he spoke. "Because, all I know how to do is fight and the Minerva gives me a reason why I should fight, Like that day I saw the Freedom at Orb." He said as Kira's eyes widen as he heard this, the Freedom gave him a reason to fight.
Setsuna ignored the vision of another Gundam in Krugis looking down on him as he continued to speak.
"I want to know, why the world so twisted? Where does this twistedness come from? How can people be so wicked without meaning to be? And why don't they realize their wickedness?" He said as Kira was reminded of his battle with Rau Le Creusent.
On the Minerva, Talia was looking at the Exia in shock as Setsuna continued to speak.
"Why are there things that bring chaos to so many lives? Why do people rule, and let themselves be ruled?" At this comment Cagalli looked down in shame, she almost let herself become a slave to Yuna at Orb if not Kira hadn't abducted her from her regretful wedding.
"And why do they hurt each other? And why despite all that, do people still want to live their lives?" Setsuna said as Kira could feel a hint of sadness coming from the unemotional Gundam Pilot.
Inside the remains of the Savior, Athrun listened as Setsuna continued to speak, he never realized what kind of a burden the young Gundam Pilot carried with him and that he was searching for answers like him.
From inside the damaged ZAKU Gunner, a barely conscious Lunamaria heard what Setsuna was saying as a tear fell from her eyes.
'Setsuna…' was her final thought as darkness consumed her. The rescue team was able to get the cockpit open and pulled her out.
"I'm just looking for answers. That's why I fight…" Setsuna said before looking at the Freedom. "And I realize now, you're looking for the same thing, along a different path from mine." He said as Kira's eyes widen again hearing this, a few minutes ago the Exia's pilot said that he didn't know the purpose of a Gundam and now he was saying that they were fighting for the same thing.
"For the path where people can understand each other for those answers," the raven haired pilot said again as Kira nodded a bit, Cagalli wanted Orb to be safe and they interfered with the battle for her sake while Kira blindly followed. The coordinator wanted the entire world to be at peace which was why he decided to fight again, to help lead the world into its own peace, but so far he hasn't been doing that.
"I'll continue to look for answers," Setsuna spoke again. "Together with my Gundam,"
"…I'll also look for those answers…" Kira said to him, "I'll continue to fight until everyone; Natural and Coordinator can understand each other and live in peace."
Setsuna looked at the Freedom as it stood before him, the pilot…wanted to fight for understanding just like him.
"Even if it means for us to fight again…" Setsuna replied. "I will."
"So will I um..." Kira stopped as he didn't know the Exia's pilot name.
"Setsuna F. Seiei." The ZAFT pilot told Kira. "My name is Setsuna F. Seiei, Gundam Pilot of Exia."
Kira nodded. "My name is Kira Yamato, pilot of the Freedom." Setsuna stared at the Freedom before he turned the Exia and made his way back to the Minerva. Kira watched as the Exia left leaving a trail of GN-Particles as it flew away.
Start Trust You
As the Exia flew back towards the Minerva, Setsuna's eyes were glowing gold as he felt at peace for the first time in a long time. He would continue to fight for those answers. And if he couldn't at least he knew that someone else could do it.

The one that will start the Canon diversity from Seed Destiny, I have been waiting for this moment for a while and i did have fun writing Seed Destiny with Setsuna but all good things must come to an end.
