Sales had gone up recently, people were getting along nicely, she had even gotten out of her art-block and was designing clothing again, so why was she in a foul mood?
Because the girl she had fallen for was as blind to her advances as Jaune was to Pyrrha's before she had managed to snag him, that is.
Weiss rubbed her temples as she thought about all the ways she had tried to gain Ruby's hand. All the coffees, the candies and treats, the breaks and games she'd buy her. Of course, Ruby never asked for any of the things Weiss bought her, even tried to hand the item back, but Weiss would stomp her foot and make Ruby take it anyway.
Why couldn't she just...accept her love?! Why couldn't she see she was trying to woo her?
"Weiss."
The heiress jumped, opening her eyes- which she must have closed in her little self rant- to see Blake standing there, arms crossed and golden eyes studying her. "What?" She snapped, her icy orbs narrowing at the smirking feline faunus.
"You've been spending a lot of money on Ruby lately. Want to tell me why that is?" Blake asked, the twinkling in her eyes telling Weiss that she had already formed an idea as to why.
The heiress had known the other woman for so many years now, it wasn't a surprise that she would notice how she was treating the little tag artist. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Weiss, you've bought Ruby seven new games and I found a receipt for three more you pre-ordered." Blake gave the blushing woman a kind smile before she asked the question. "Weiss, are you trying to buy Ruby's love?"
"What?! No! Why would you even think that?!" Weiss barked as she tried to force the blush away, but she failed along with the increased pitch in her voice.
"Weiss..." Blake sighed as she shook her head. "Even Yang has noticed the new things you've bought Ruby had she's concerned."
"Why's that? She should be happy that her sister is getting new things!" Weiss fought back.
"She was at first, but now she thinks Ruby is hounding you for stuff! I can't tell you how many little arguments they've had over it."
"Th-they're fighting?" Weiss gasped, taken aback by such a thought.
"I...wouldn't say fighting..." Blake bite her lower lip in thought, trying to find the correct words to describe the sisters type of disagreements. "More like...bickering and teasing? Maybe? I mean, they tease first, then one hits a nerve, then they bicker, then they end up hugging and crying saying how much they love the other...it's a process."
Weiss just placed her head in her hands, not sure if she should laugh or just sigh at the two of them. "Right, well...they are close, I suppose."
"Point is, you're not going to be able to 'woo' Ruby into dating you. She doesn't see you as a bank, Weiss. Ruby isn't attracted to money." Blake pointed out as she walked over to Weiss and put her hand on her shoulder. "If you like her, just ask her out."
"I can't do that! What if she doesn't like me back? I can't be rejected like that! I...I just..." Weiss gnawed on her bottom lip before she heard Blake click her tongue at her.
"If you can't take the rejection, then do some intel." Blake suggested with a sly smirk.
"I tried that with Pyrrha already! I can't wait that long." Weiss humphed as she saw they amused glint in her friend's eyes. "Look, surely Yang as talked about Ruby. Can you give me something I can work with?"
Blake pondered for a moment, then gave the business woman a quick nod. "Well, she has, in fact. Yang loves Ruby greatly, so she always appears in our conversations at one point." Blake rubbed her chin with her thumb before she frowned. "However, I must tell you that you aren't the only person after her heart, Weiss."
"WHAT?! What do you mean? Who else is there!?" Weiss shouted, slamming her hands on her desk.
"Ruby is a very well known player on that silly online game she plays and I'm sure you, of all people, know what comes with fame."
"...I do. So, you're telling me that she has a number of 'fans' swearing their undying love to her?" Weiss grimaced, she knew how much Ruby loved her games, so if a good player caught her eye...
"Yes, but Ruby hasn't taken an interest in any of them, so that isn't your true concern as of yet." Blake informed, happy to see the light return to her friend's eyes.
"Then...what is?"
"It's Yang. Yang is very overprotective, hell, she's already threatened your life and I truly believe, if she's mad enough, she will kill you." Blake rubbed the back of her neck when she saw the other gulp. "I love her dearly, but she does have a temper, and right now, though she may have forgiven you, she hasn't forgotten. The girl can hold a grudge just like you can, and I'm sure she doesn't want you of all people dating her sister."
Weiss sighed as her shoulders sagged, defeat clearly written upon her features. "Then...what am I to do, Blake? I...I've never felt this way before..."
"Which is why you'll need Ruby's protection."
"Huh? But...wait, I'm not following here-"
"It's simple," Blake stated with a flip of her wrist. "All you have to do is just confess to Ruby. Sure, she may turn you down but when Yang finds out about your feelings, Ruby will be there to protect you!"
"...You read that out of a book, didn't you?" Weiss sneered as she watched the taller blush. "UGH! You people are useless!"
"We're not the ones trying to catch a teen's eye with games and sweets." Blake snickered before she had to dodge an assortment of objects that was begin thrown at her.

Ruby smirked as she finished her tagged piece, a howling wolf with a sleeping beauty next to it along with a wondrous night scene. She felt good about it, great really, and was smiling beneath her gas mask.
After throwing away her empty cans and the rags she used, the artist was walking down the alleyway when she heard fast approaching footsteps coming her way.
"FREEZE! HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!"
Ruby didn't even turn to look behind her, just pulled her mask down and began running. It was a song and dance she had done before, one that she liked and hated all at the same time, it was the thrill she liked, but the consequences of getting caught she hated.
Go figure.
Sprinting down the straightaway, Ruby pumped her arms as hard, gaining the strength and speed needed to make a jump kick from one wall to another, which was always one of her favorite tricks to do, it also was one of her best and she always heard the cops cursing at her as she slipped through their fingers because of it.
Kicking and leaping over a small blockade of garbage and moldy boxes, the free runner felt giddy as she heard the man yells become more distant, though the feeling didn't last long as another siren sounded off close by, making the artist turn down another alleyway she was unfamiliar with.
It was smaller then the others, with a strong stench and far more trash piling up along the dirty brick walls, but that didn't stop the rose, in fact, she could already see the light at the end of the tunnel. Or the Leap of Faith, if you wanted to be more accurate.
It was the fence blocking off the playground, a tall piece of wood that the runner could only clear if she gained some added height from a nearby object. That task wouldn't be too hard, a trash can was rather close to it and the little rose knew that she had this one in the bag.
Legs pumping, heart beating, mind focused and clear, she raced for her platform, eyes sharp and heart leaping from rush she was having. Only thing she had to do was clear this fence and she was home free, clear this fence and she could tally up another score. Ready to make the leap, Ruby caught sight of the lid moving, revealing an old, stray cat.
Now, if there was a number one, golden rule a rule that must never be broken, it was this: Always follow through your actions...and Ruby Rose...had broken this rule.
Trying to somehow cancel out her jump, the runner ended up spraining her ankle as well as crashing into a pile of rotting garbage...all to avoid a damn cat.
"CccccccccCAAAAAAAAAAT!" Ruby roared, angered and fearful at her whole situation, making the puffing and huffing police officer stare at her. Glaring at the officer, Ruby snorted and held out her hands. "You gonna arrest me or what?" She snapped, making the rookie officer only blink before her decided to cuff her and help her hop to his car.
"...I'm sorry...but you stink of trash."
"You think?!" Ruby growled as she gently sat in the back of the portal car, both pissed off at herself and terrified at being caught because now, she was heading for the slammer.
A/N: Oh NO! Ruby's been caught! What's an artist to do?! And how is Yang gonna take it?! Will Weiss still want anything to do with her now that she has...a record?! Find out next time...whenever I update this.
Side note! I wanna throw a big thank you to everyone whose been super nice and understanding! I luv ya guys!
