Since I didn't update last week, I decided to update twice today. I hope you all are exicted for the double chapter! This chapter is exciting, but I know I may have changed a couple things so just message me or leave a review and I'll reply to you directly and explain. More explainations at the bottom.

Chapter Eleven

Alice ended up sleeping over. Well, not really sleeping over, but she did keep me company. I knew something was up though, she kept smiling and giggling. When I'd ask her, she'd just say nothing.

"Something is up." I said as we got dressed for school, "Why are you giggling so much?"

"It's nothing," She smiled widely, "It was just a little vision. Nothing concerning."

I shook my head, "I have such a hard time trusting you with that wicked look on your face."

She laughed, "Stop worrying. Your so paranoid."

"I have to be paranoid," I said, "That's how I've stayed alive."

"Whatever," She said, "Edward's out front."

"We can just take my car," I said.

"No, no, Edward's picking us up. Plus, he's already here."

"Alright," I said.

Edward's Volvo was sitting in my driveway. Charlie had already left for work. He had probably left before I even woke up.

Alice opened the passenger side door for me and slide into the back. I noticed that it was only Jasper and Alice sitting in the backseat. The other siblings weren't present.

"Good to see you again, Bella," Edward said.

"Nice to see you too," I said, "So, I'm beginning to become a little offended. Do your other siblings hate me that much?"

"It's not so much Emmett as it is Rosalie. She has a problem with you." Alice said.

"And whys that?"

"You offended her the first time we all officially met. I'm not really sure how, but she took it personally when you broke into our house and interrupted our family meeting."

"Oh, well I'm terribly sorry." I said, "But in all fairness, you guys were planning on killing me."

"Water under the bridge," Edward smiled, "Like you, we have to protect ourselves."

"No, I understand," I said chuckled, "I understand better than anyone else."

"So, how did you two enjoy your night?" Jasper asked.

"We had fun. Spent a lot of time talking and what not. I told her about our trip to Morocco." Alice said.

"Yes, I got a full detailed report on that trip," I sighed, "Every detail."

Jasper laughed, "That was the best trip. We should take another one."

"We should all go," Alice said, "Me, you, Bella, and Edward. We could go to Rome again. Do you remember the art? And the nightlife, ugh, I'd go back to Rome in a heartbeat."

I smiled, "I haven't been to Rome in such a long time. I believe the last time I was there; Julius Caesar was still ruling. Of course, this was years before his assassination."

"You knew Caesar?" Jasper asked.

"Of course I knew Caesar. My mother introduced us. He was one of the covens most devoted followers. That was why he was such a great dictator. He had our advice and our magics to help him rule."

"How was he assassinated if he had your coven in his pocket."

"That was actually my fault," I said, shaking my head, "I was young, very young and it was my job to scry every day, and well, one day I just didn't do it. I wanted to do something else. That just happened to be the day he was assassinated."

"What did your coven do?" Edward asked.

"Well, after that it was my job to resurrect him," I said, rolling my eyes, "Which was hard because of all the stab wounds. Then, it was my job to tell him that it was my fault he was dead and couldn't return to Rome."

"How'd he take it?" Jasper asked.

"Considerably well. He wasn't as mad as I thought he'd be. We still retain our friendship. The last time I spoke to him was travelling in Italy with his current girlfriend."

"He's still alive?" Alice said.

"Yep. That's how a resurrection works. If a witch brings you back from the dead, then you're alive until she decides otherwise."

"That's pretty cool," Edward said, "You'll have to tell me about your life. I am a history buff and hearing that Julius Caesar is still alive and you're the reason he was such a great dictator is incredible to me."

"Edward, you should take Bella out to dinner to discuss this. Bella likes Chinese food and there's that amazing Chinese restaurant in Seattle. The expensive one with all the great reviews. You should take her."

I looked over my shoulder at Alice, my eyes narrowed, "Alice, why are you trying to put Edward and I together?"

"I'm not. I just know you two will be such great friends. You two remind me of each other and I had a vison that you two are going to be close friends. That's all I want."

"Is this a ploy to try and get me to move in with you?" I asked.

"Yes, it is," Alice said, "First I'll work on the relationship between you and Edward. Then we'll move onto Esme. Soon, everyone is going to love you just as much as I do."

We pulled into the school's parking lot. Edward parked beside a large Jeep that had Emmett and Rosalie in it. She looked like she was pissed, but then again, I hadn't seen any other facial expression.

"Hey Em, Rose." Edward said as he stepped out of the car.

"Next time, we should just take the Jeep. It'll fit everyone. Well, Rosie might have to sit on my lap." He said, winking at her.

She just rolled her eyes, "This arrangement is fine. They can take Edward's car."

I smiled, "Rosalie, you remind me of my time in the coven. A bunch of women together, things tended to get very catty."

She snorted and walked passed me to the school building. I simply laughed, not at all bothered by her obvious distain for me.

After school, Alice dragged me back to Edward's car and shoved me in. Jasper was nearly pushing Edward to his car and shoved him in.

"What are you guys doing?" Edward asked.

"Alice and I are going to ride with Emmett."

"Edward take Bella to that Chinese place tonight." Alice said, "And you two can talk about each other's past."

"Alice, what if I have plans tonight?" I said.

"Plans that don't include me? Unlikely." She said, "You two have fun! I'll see you later."

Edward sighed as they walked to the Jeep. "Do you really want to go?" He asked.

I shrugged, "Sure. I don't have any plans tonight. I haven't had good Chinese food in a long time."

"Alrighty then, let's go." He said.

"Wait, will it be awkward? You can't eat."

Now he shrugged, "It won't be the first time I've sat through a meal with humans."

"I could enchant you, like I did Alice and Jasper. If you wanted."

He smiled, "Sure, that way you'll feel less awkward and I can enjoy some human food."

The drive to Seattle didn't take long. He sped down the road, never stopping at a red light or getting caught by the police. I'm sure if he had gotten caught, he'd go to jail and get charged with reckless driving.

The restaurant was busy. The wait was over two hours long and no amount of money or convincing was going to sway the hostess.

"It's okay," I said, "Um, you know it's probably too crowded to even really talk."

He nodded, and frowned, "Maybe, we could find another place to talk privately."

I smiled, "I have the perfect idea, you go around the back of the building and wait for me. I'll be there in a sec."

While he walked out, I slipped passed the hostess and to the kitchen. One of the chefs was finishing preparing a meal. I walked to him and grabbed his hand.

"I need these in a box to go. And anything extra you can put in would be great."

He stared for a moment, then slowly nodded. It wasn't hard to control his mind; he was weak willed.

He boxed up several items and placed them all in a large plastic bag. I thanked him and walked through the kitchen's back door and met Edward.

"I got a bunch of food." I smiled, "Now, you want to go up to the roof and enjoy our dinner with some privacy?"

"That sounds great," He said, "Climb onto my back and I'll take us up."

I wrapped my arms around his neck while holding onto the bag of food. I could've just transported us up there, but I did want to hold onto his back.

It was a little bit of a bumpy ride and by the time we were on the roof, I felt a little dizzy. I looked around, there was no place to sit.

"I should've brought up some furniture before you walked out." He said.

"That's alright, I got it. Hold this." I handed him the bag of food and walked to the edge of the roof.

I levitated some furniture that was residing on another roof and brought it over here. Once the furniture was settled, I lit the candles that came with it.

"Did you just steal this?" He laughed.

"I'm just borrowing it." I said, "I'll give it back before we leave, promise."

He laid out the food and before we sat to eat, I enchanted him.

"Now, it's been a while since I've eaten food. In my human life, I never had Chinese food before."

"It's good, but it did take me a while to get used to the spices." I said as I handed him a box, "Try the rice first, the flavor on it isn't as strong as the other food."

We sat and ate the food Edward thoroughly enjoyed the food. He did like the spice and it didn't seem to bother him too much.

"So, you knew Cleopatra?" He asked.

"Of course, she was part of our coven," I said, "Well, she soon was kicked out of the coven. She refused to follow rules and lived dangerously, nearly exposing the coven on several occasions."

"What rules did she break?"

"Well, Cleopatra wasn't born in the typical witch way, like Alice. She had younger brothers on her father's side, and she married them to remain in power. It's forbidden for witches to marry."

"Why?" He asked, "I mean, you said your coven is completely gone. Why do you follow that rule?"

I sighed, "It's… so complicated. And being one of the last witches, I am constantly under scrutiny from the gods. I must live by the rules they set so I can retain my powers and what not."

He frowned, "Well, that sounds like it really sucks."

I shrugged, "It's not so bad. It does suck losing people though. So, I guess maybe it's for the best."

"Maybe your soulmate isn't human," He said suddenly, his words catching me off guard.

He shook his head, "I-I'm sorry, that was forward."

"Edward," I said slowly, "Don't start to fall for me. I'm not… good."

He leaned closer, "You're good," he took a deep breath, "You know… ever since I drank your blood, I've just felt… I don't know, this deep connection with you—,"

"Stop."

He shook his head and grabbed my hand, "I asked Alice to make an excuse to put us together. She had a vision of us together."

I jerked my hand away, "God damn you." I snapped, "And god damn her. I didn't ask for any of this. The only reason you feel a connection to me is because you drank my blood. But there's nothing to that connection except lust."

"I don't believe that." He said, "There's more to it than just lust. I can't stop thinking about you. After Alice's vision, I know now what we are to each other. You feel it too."

I closed my eyes, "Edward, you're ruining the friendship we've created. I want it to stop."

"I've read enough minds to know what the mating bond feels like," He said, grabbing my hand once against and holding it to his face, "I can feel your emotions. I've felt your happiness, you anger, your loneliness," his eyes closed, "I feel your fear, right now. You're afraid of letting yourself love me. You don't want to lose again, like you lost Laurent."

I gasped, "How—,"

"When I drank your blood, I could see all of your memories. I felt your pain, your loss, everything."

Tears fell down my cheeks, he pressed his forehead against mine and then stroked my tear stained cheeks with his thumbs.

"I can make it better," He whispered, "You don't have to be alone anymore."

I moved my hands to push him away but instead I pulled him closer. His closeness made me feel better; the constant weight that sat on my chest beginning to lift. It had been so long since I've felt like this before. I had trouble catching my breath.

"I didn't understand at first," Edward said, "Then I talked to Carlisle. He explained to me what was happening. The bond beginning to form, growing stronger and stronger."

"I can't do this." I whispered; my voice barely high enough for me to hear.

"You can," He said, "I don't care who doesn't like it. I'll fight anyone who tries to take you from me."

Suddenly, thunder roared, and lightening cracked through the sky. I looked up, fear washing over me.

"What… the hell is that?" Edward said as he stared at the sky.

I grabbed his hand and squeezed it, "That's my father."

So, I've decided to make the mating bond with vampires a little bit stronger. Mates can feel each other's emotions and there's a deeper connection than Stephanie Myers version. And another tid bit about vampires is that when they drink someone's blood, they see all their memories and what not, which is why it makes it harder for Edward to get over killing humans.

I know it's probably confusing why I took such a big leap on Edward and Bella's relationship. I had originally planned to just slowly fade into a romantic relationship, but it was moving way to slowly and I had a hard time writing them together. So, yeah this jump is probably huge, but I do hope that I wrote it well enough so it flows and makes sense. If it doesn't just shoot me a message and I'll try to clear it up.
