YOU'RE WHAT!
Disclaimer: The Cullen's, the Swans, and most of the characters mentioned in the story that are known from Stephanie Meyer's beloved Twilight Saga, are all hers and hers alone. I neither have nor wish to pass them off as mine. I do appreciate the fact that she did bring them to life and allows us to play with them in our imaginations. The only thing I will claim is the current storyline.

Edward looked at her and waited to see if she would offer any further information, but, once more the silence began to hang a little heavy between them. So, he asked, "So, where do we go from here?"
CHAPTER 11: A CHANGE OF PLANS?
Edward asks if Bella would like another cup of coffee, anything to eat, or, if she's ready to leave. And Bella lets him know that it's time for everyone to go home. "No, but, thanks for offering. I just need to call a cab to take me home." She told him, but, he just shook his head no.
"What the hell do you mean no?" She demanded with a bit of a bite in her voice. She was tired and wanted to get some rest before going into the office early tomorrow for another conference with Sam and Felix along with Alice and Rosalie. They had things that needed to be discussed about tonight's happenings. Things that weren't making her too damn happy whatsoever and to her knowledge Alice and Rosalie weren't in a very jovial mood concerning the happenings either. Well, she'd have to back a bit on that statement about how the three of them felt; they did get to get closer to the object of their nighttime fantasies: that was a plus to be their guy, more or less.
"I mean no. If you call for a cab to pick you up from here and if someone is trying to get to me then they will know that we didn't just leave and go to one of our places for a whatever. We are supposed to be acting as girlfriend/boyfriend, after all." He explained, but, he really wanted to use this as an excuse to find out where she lived.
"Mr. Cullen, if you're so worried about someone watching to see if we are what we are presenting ourselves to be then we'll just have to fix that. I guess I can call for a cab just as easily from your place as anywhere else.
"Once we get there I'll go in for a blink and then head home. That way if anyone is trying to get a bead on your habits we won't arouse any suspicions. But, come to think of it, it will allow me to be able to check out if there is anyone keeping some kind of watch over you other than my people." Bella finished speaking while slowly and cautiously taking a look around the place once more before they left the café.
"If that's what you think would be best." Edward agreed quietly, but, reluctantly. He had had hopes of being able to find out where this lovely lady of his dreams and fantasies lived. Once that had been accomplished then he could drop in on her to ask her out for dinner, or, something. But, it seemed that she had forestalled his efforts. Oh well there will be another time, he thought to himself, I'll make sure of that.
So, without any further discussion the couple when back out to Edward's car, he assisted her inside then closing the door went back to the driver's side and got in. Starting the engine he was trying desperately to find a safe subject for them to talk about while heading to his place. Finally, he gave up and just said, "Tell me something about yourself that has nothing to do with work."
"Mr. Cullen, no offense intended, but, my private life being discussed isn't part of the job."
"Sorry. I was just trying to make polite conversation."
"I realize that, and that's why I didn't chop you off at the knees, as it were. But, I really don't discuss my personal affairs with anyone, but, those that I hold close to me. Hope you understand?"
"Oh, I understand, but, how are we supposed to appear comfortable with each other if we don't know something personal about each other." He countered Bella's argument and then added, "If we are girlfriend/boyfriend then we would know something more private about one another. You know everything about me, but, I know nothing about you other than what I've seen about your professional life."
Bella spent some time considering his words, almost as if she suspected some hidden meaning in them, but, after a bit she started to speak. "My father is in law enforcement in the small town I come from. In fact, he was my inspiration for wanting to be in law enforcement, but, not just the standard everyday type situations that happen in a regular cop's life. I wanted more; I wanted the FBI and I wanted to be good. But, not just good; I wanted to be the best at what I did and make my dad proud; not that he wasn't already proud, mind you." And she was just starting to get on a roll when suddenly she snapped her arm out as a signal for Edward to stop.
They still happened to be several houses away from Edward's when she had him to stop. Sitting and watching a for bit, Bella told Edward to pull up into one of the driveways and to turn around. This he did without hesitation and they were heading away from his home without a word being exchanged for a moment or so.
As they were some distance away, but, still within a quick walk or jogging distance, she had him to stop. "Edward, I need for you to stay in the car and to stay as low as you can. Don't get out of this car for any reason whatsoever. Understand?"
Edward looked at her and then opened his mouth to speak, but, she shook her head no and told him, "Don't ask right now and don't make me waste any more time." With that said she quietly closed the car door after exiting the car and was off into the night. Edward did try to keep a watch on her, but, soon lost sight of her. He was damn curious about what was going on.

Emmett was a bit more enthused about having Rosalie Hale's company than what his friend had been about Agent Swan's, but, then Edward had always had the habit of overthinking everything until it was beyond dead. The old saying of don't be a dead horse didn't apply to Edward since he would want to know everything about the horse and what had killed it before making a decision.
He and Rosie seemed to get along just fine without any complications and he was happy about that since he had no complaints about her going along to his home. In fact, he was all in favor of it since he had some definite ideas of how their time could be occupied once they got there. He wasn't planning to waste any time in showing her what his thoughts about her were.
They left in his car and was nearing his home when Rosalie had him come to a sudden halt. She told him to turn around and to head back down the street a ways and then to stop and park. Once that was done and before he could question her as to why she had told him to stay put and to keep low. Then without another word she vanished into the night.

Jasper and Alice were just as happy to be together the same as Emmett and Rosalie had been, except maybe a bit more so. However, Jasper had suggested they go back to his place to get better acquainted, but, instead she told him to go to hers since it was closer. So, she gave him directions and they arrived in a very happy state.
The couple had no idea about what was happening at any other location around town that might have been of some concern to them. And they didn't waste much time getting better acquainted with each either.

By the time Bella had gotten back to dark colored car that was parked a little distance from Edward's home and Rosalie had reached the vehicle parked a little ways down the street to keep an eye on Emmett's home they each found that the agents were busy chatting to each other sharing stories of old conquests.
Rapping upon the glass and scaring the shit out of the men inside of the vehicle and then opening the door both women demanded an accounting the agents inside. "Why in the hell aren't you doing what you've been assigned to do?"
"We are! We're keeping an eye on the house as ordered to make sure no one comes or goes."
"Both of you report to your superior after I've had you replaced." Each told the men they were speaking to. It would greatly surprise the others to know that the same exact situation existed at their other charges' homes.
"Just who do you think you are to tell us what to do?" Demanded one agent in each of the two locations.
"I'm the person that can cause you to lose your jobs, that's who I am." Bella and Rosalie told the two men in the car that hadn't been paying any attention as to what was happening inside the house they had been assigned to watch.
If it hadn't been for a light being seen being turned off neither Bella nor Rosalie would have been alerted that someone had been in the homes. It was that particular happening which let them know that it hadn't been something their charges had done.
Bella called for assistance at Edward's and Rosalie did the same at Emmett's. They each left their individual charge sitting safely in their car further down the road until they could be sure that all was safe in the house. It didn't take long before a couple of unmarked cars were seen arriving at each location and being brought up to date as to why the call for help had been sent. Sam stayed at Edward's with a couple of his crew while Felix headed over to Emmett's with two other Marshalls.
Both Marshalls explained to Bella that something had happened over at Emmett's as well, but, no idea as to what as yet. However, the question was asked about Jasper and Alice.
"Don't know about that location as we haven't heard anything from Alice. Maybe, they didn't go there after leaving the club."
"That's possible since Mr. Cullen and I went to a nearby café after leaving the club." Bella remarked.
Each agent returned down to retrieve their charge and then returned to their charge's home, but, were told them to remain in the car while the house was swept electronically to see what had been done inside. And it didn't take long to locate the bugs that had been planted throughout each house.
"What do you want us to do about all of this?" Sam asked Bella once they all were back outside away from the devices. She told him to leave them as it was probably the Volturi's way of confirming what Edward, Emmett and Jasper knew about what had been seen the other night. So, with that information Sam called and told Felix what had been decided.
He also told Felix to tell Agent Hale to take Mr. McCarty home with her for the night until they all could meet in the morning to discuss the current situation at each of the charges' homes.
Meanwhile as Sam was telling Felix what had been decided Bella made a call to Alice to check about what she and Jasper Whitlock were doing. And, once Alice did answer, a bit breathily and winded sounding, Bella explained what had transpired at Edward's and Emmett's place. "It's very possible that the same has happened at Whitlock's as well. So, Alice keep him away from his home until we all meet in the morning." Alice was quick to agree and told Bella that she would tell Jasper about what had happened and been decided for now.
A/N: Some decisions are going to be made at the meeting the next morning. What type of decisions do you think Bella and her crew will make for the safety of their charges? Will the original plans of the girlfriend/boyfriend situation still be workable?
