Tori POV
"Stefan?" He was breathing heavily and his clothes were all torn up.
"Elena?" She shook her head no as he looked closer at her.
This definitely wasn't the boy Elena had described to her.
He looked demonic or animalistic at best.
"My name is Tori. Tori Vega but I could go get Elena" He grabbed her and shoved her against the tree.
The inside of her chest burned with an intense fire and she coughed twice.
"Don't get, Elena" Her head was pounding from the impact but she stayed calm.
"She is looking for you Stefan. We can help you" He paced for a second and then walked back over to her.
His fangs were hanging out of her.
Tori realized this was the closest she had ever been to a vampire.
She tried to remember all Elena had told her about vampires.
When their fangs are out they are usually ready to kill or feed.
"Are you thirsty, Stefan?" She slowly removed her shirt as Stefan looked away.
Then pulled her bra strap down carefully.
"Go ahead feed" He looked at her closely again then dug his fangs in her neck.
She tried her best to hold back the scream that was fighting its way out.
She felt it as the fangs gashed opened her skin and he drank.
The pain slowly subsided as he finished his feed.
There was genuine surprise that he didn't kill her.
He seemed more normal after he finished his feed.
His eyes were less bloodshot, and his fangs were placed back his mouth.
"I'm- uh sorry" He said.
His voice was deep and very alluring.
"No it's fine. It didn't hurt" She looked at the gash.
It was huge and he had done a good job of cleaning it.
"I shouldn't have. It's just he's –"
"Klaus, it's him right, Elena told me" His eyes raised at Elena's name.
"Elena, is she okay? What about Damon?" She was about to answer when she heard Beck calling her name.
"Tori! Where are you? Tori!" She turned to find Beck's voice when she turned back Stefan was gone.
Beck came and crashed right into her.
"Tori! Are you okay? What happened?" She realized that she hadn't put back on her shirt yet.
"I'm fine, I didn't find him" She knew Stefan would want her to lie.
"Oh, well come on. Let's just go" She grabbed her shirts and slipped it back on.
The bite on her neck still felt a little weird.
She couldn't believe she had found Stefan and he had feed on her.
Didn't she owe it to Elena to tell her?
Or did she owe to Stefan to protect her? There was a reason Stefan couldn't come home.
Cat POV
Cat was at Trina's bedside waiting for her to wake up.
They were Damon's room.
He had left an hour ago and left specific instructions not to leave.
She didn't know what Trina was going to be like when she woke up.
Damon had told her about Trina's request to become a vampire.
She just didn't understand why? A vampire? One of the most evil things Cat had ever encountered.
This wasn't the only troubling thing.
It was Damon.
What did he want with her? It wasn't just that.
Why did she feel so drawn to him? These thoughts were interrupted by Trina opening her eyes.
"Trina!" Cat cried as her friend sat up in bed.
"C-Cat" They embraced each other tightly and didn't pull away for several minutes.
"Did he do it?" Cat looked at her friend closely. She wasn't sure if Damon had or not. Vampires didn't look that different then humans.
"I guess"
"I did" They both turned to see Damon at the end of the bed.
He was holding a girl who looked terrified.
"I don't feel different" Cat could feel a pit in her stomach telling her something awful was going to happen.
"Your transition is not finished. You have to feed" He threw the girl into Trina's lap.
"Don't do it, Trina. This is a person" She could feel her voice shaking in fact her whole body is shaking.
Then Cat saw it. The look in Trina's eyes of thirst and desperation.
It was one of the most terrifying looks that Cat had ever seen.
"If she doesn't feed she will die" He said it so casually like it happened every day.
"Tri-"before Cat could finish she heard the scream.
She turned to see the girl fighting Trina but Trina obviously winning.
She watched as the color from the girls face drained.
She could watch no more and turned away.
"Stay with her" She heard Damon bark as he stormed out the room.
There was no way that was going to happen.
She waited till she thought he was far away then left the room.
Trina did not seem to mind and didn't try to stop her.
She ran downstairs and tried to make it to the door but of course Damon was there.
"Seriously? Haven't we gone over this?" He grabbed her wrist and pulled her close.
She could feel her bone breaking slowly.
"Ouch, Damon please don't" She struggled to get away and he threw her to the ground.
She screamed again and Trina appeared downstairs.
"Stop it, Damon" She helped her up with abnormal strength.
Cat looked more closely at the friend she had once known.
There was definitely something different about her now.
"Oh someone thinks they are all big and bad now just because they are a vampire. You don't know the half of it. You still need me" Damon walked over to Trina and threw her against the nearest wall.
Cat couldn't take it anymore.
The fire and this new nightmare consumed her now.
"Stop it! Stop it! Just stop please! Make it stop!" She screamed and sobbed at the same time.
She felt the weight of her legs give out and fell to the floor.
Her breathing became erratic and everything became black.
Beck POV
The car had seemed extremely quiet on the way back into town.
Tori had looked shaken but had not said one word.
Elena was visibly upset but hadn't said anything either.
"Can you drop me off first, Beck, I'm tired" Tori said.
He nodded and turned down her street first.
He pulled up at her house and watched as she left silently.
The silence remained as he pulled up to Elena's house.
It was then he noticed that she had been crying.
"Elena, we will find him" She didn't reply and was fidgeting to open the door.
"Elena" He grabbed her shoulder "We will" He looked closely at her face.
Her eyes were bloodshot red from all the crying and she looked defeated.
"I love him, Beck. Even if we do find him how do I know I can save him?" He could tell she was trying not to cry again.
With the words she had just spoken he thought of Jade.
The girl he wanted so desperately to save and couldn't.
"Maybe you won't but it's worth a try. If you really love him" Elena threw herself into him and he held her tightly.
"Can you stay here? Just for tonight"
"Okay" Beck got out the car and followed Elena to the door.
The house was average sized and looked comfortable.
Elena led him to her room.
She went to the bathroom to change while he laid down on the bed.
He looked up at the ceiling trying to think of what to do next.
That house was the only lead he had but he had promised Elena.
She came out from the bathroom in a long t-shirt that still showed her legs.
He made room for her as she snuggled into him.
He wrapped her arms around her and could feel her rapid heart beat.
It slowed down after a few minutes and he thought she was finally sleeping.
"Beck" He opened his eyes and looked down at her.
"Yes?"
"I need you like this. You make me feel safe" He was shocked but over the last few days it wasn't a complete surprise. Without Jade around it felt like the right choice.
"Then I'll be there for you"
