The year is 2015, four years after the events of the Circum-Pacific War. Our perspective now switches to the naive and rookie pilot "Talisman", a member of the Republic of Emmeria Air Force. His life is good, until all of it comes crashing down with the outbreak of war...and the revealing of a dark, deep past. UNDERGOING MAINTENANCE.

11. ACES

A/N Dun dun dun! The Aigaion is now under control of rebel Estovakian forces and Cipher himself! What could this mean for the Emmerian forces fighting desperately to free their country from the grip of the Federal; Republic of Estovakia? Only good things, for Emmeria that is. And we're getting close to the stunning revealment of who Talisman really is. *Dramatic music*

The reason as to why I released this chapter so soon was that it was so short, and two, its the prologue to the chapter after the next chapter, the "Big Reveal" if you , let's get to the next chapter.

Chapter 10 - ACES

The Beginning

- Unknown Location -

- August 29th, 1985 -

"I'm sorry ma'am, but we're going to have to take your son."

"What?! Why do you need my son?!"

"What the hell's going on here?"

"Sir, ma'am, we're conducting military research and we want your son to be a part of it."

"Why my son though?!"

"If this is a success, our air force will be a force to be reckoned with, its ranks filled with pilots that are better than even the best aces. Our country will be unstoppable."

"But...he's our son…"

"I know, he'll be in good hands. We have good people working on this and we'll ensure the utmost care is given to him at all times."

"But, will he remember us?"

"I can't assure that."

"Then I won't let you take him if he won't know who we are. I'm sorry, but I'd like you to leave."

"I was afraid it might come to this. I'm sorry. Restrain them."

"What the?! Gah!"

The man pushed past the man and woman after they had been forcefully restrained by two soldiers and entered the house, going up to the second floor before coming to the room that held the small crib of the parents son.

He watched him enter with bright blue eyes and the man smiled to himself as he approached the young boy and looked at him.

"Don't worry little guy, I'm not here to hurt you. You're just going to come with me."

He grasped the small child with his hands and cradled him close as he exited the room and went back down to the first floor, the sight of him carrying the child totally horrifying to his parents.

"You bastard!"

"Heath!"

The man didn't listen as he exited the house and looked at the small child again.

"So, your name is Heath? Well…Ethan...you're with your new family now. Welcome to Project ACES."
