A/N : The final chapter is here and even though i am a bit sad about it, I've worked on it for years now and it is time for it to finally end.

Once again i will point out i am not all that good at writing bey-battle scenes(even though i try) but this is the main climax battle so it was a must to write.

The days went by as Kohana trained with Hoshiko and the Bladebreakers, before any of them knew it, the day of the tournament had arrived. Kohana stood in the locker room with Hoshiko as the others got seats for the starting rounds of the tournament. Kohana took in a deep breath as Hoshiko put a hand on her shoulder." Don't worry, just do your best" she said to her before leaving the room. Kohana nodded and began to get ready for her blocks battle.
Hoshiko sat next to the twins and Ray in the stands of the arena. "It's odd to be watching instead of battling." Ray said to her as all the tournament competitors in block a started on their battles. Hoshiko could pick out the black spiky hair of Shinosuke as he was battling a short blonde haired boy. "Yeah it is odd." She replied to Ray as she watched and observed Shinosuke's battle.
Tyson groaned. "This is starting to get me fired up!" he exclaimed as he jumped up from his seat and then was jerked back into it by Hilary who had an annoyed look on her face.
"This is a junior league tournament, it wouldn't be fair if we joined in, never mind not being signed up for it." Kenny said to Tyson who huffed and crossed his arms. Hoshiko watched him from the corner of her eyes and smiled at his eagerness to battle.
Hours of watching past and the winner of block A was no doubtingly Shinosuke the remaining champion. Block B's round started and Hoshiko's eyes latched on to Kohana. "Alright here she goes!" Terrina said as the block B competitors launched into the stadium. Kohana's Beyblade spun around and dodged as the others slammed into each other and beyblades were sent out of the stadium. It wasn't long until it was just her, two boys, and another girl who started smashing into Kohana's beyblade. She dodged it and counter attacked sending the girl's beyblade another which was one of the boys. An hour later, Kohana was the winner of the Block B round.
"I guess you have the making of a coach after all Hoshiko" Max said as they all met with Kohana in the locker room. Hoshiko laughed nervously and waved him off. "I don't know about that." She replied to him as Kohana hugged her around the waist. "I did it Hoshiko! I made it to the finals" she said with a smile. Hoshiko nodded with a smile.
"You did it!" came two loud screams as the bodies of two young girls the same age as Kohana ran into the room and jumped on to Kohana in unison and sent her into the floor. Kohana laughed along with the two girls. "Kiku, Michi, your actually here!" she said as the girls pulled her off the floor.
"Of course we are! We weren't going to miss you beat that jerk at his own game." The girl with glass and red hair said to Kohana.
"Yeah" the other girl with blonde hair said as she jumped up and down while saying it.
Kohana smiled at the two girls and then looked over at the Bladebreakers, the twins, and Hoshiko. "Oh these are my friends, Michi and Kiku. They're the ones who got their beyblade broken by Shinosuke." She explained to the group. "And I'm sure you guy know them."
"It's the Bladebreakers!" Kiku yelled and started to jump again. "You guys are like the coolest team ever!"
The boys laughed and thanked her. Hilary had to stop Tyson from getting too full of himself. As the twins spoke with the girls about their broken beyblades, Hoshiko could get a better look at them. Kiku's outfit consisted of jean shorts and a tank top. Her hair was short but a bit spiky in the back. Michi on the other hand, had on legging underneath what looked like a tutu and she wore a plain tee shirt with a vest over it. Her medium length hair pulled in front ponytails. Hoshiko smiled at the three of them together, it reminded her of the old days with her team members when they were just friends in a made up group trying to learn hoe to beyblade.
"Will the winners of Block A and Block B please come to the stadium?" The DJ announced over the intercom.
Kohana's friends hugged her again and wished her luck before they left. Hoshiko patted her head and gave her a thumbs up before she left with the Bladebreakers and the twins to their seats. "This is it." Kerrima said as she sat down next to Terrina. "This is where your training pays off Hoshiko."
Hoshiko nodded as she sat down between Terrina and Ray. "Time to cross our fingers." She replied as she watched Kohana walk up to the stadium. Shinosuke had yet to enter. "Guess he is planning on making an entrance?" Hilary commented as they waited for Shinosuke to walk in. Hoshiko shrugged. "He will be here for sure." She replied to her fellow female Bladebreaker.
"I wonder if he will recognize her." Kerrima whispered to Hoshiko.
Shinosuke finally entered the stadium and walked up to stand across from Kohana. The eerie silence between the two of them and the glances as they readied their launchers, made it clear that this was going to be an interesting match. "Oh he does." Hoshiko murmured as DJ's voice came through the stadium.
"This is a best out of three round battle. Whoever gets two out of three wins, takes home the title." DJ announced as the stats on Kohana and Shinosuke appeared on the digital screen. "First we have the long time champion Shinosuke and his beyblade Charring Crimzor! His opponent maybe new to the tournament format and a girl but don't underestimate her please welcome Kohana Yamichi and her beyblade Solar Spirit Meloressa!" there was a silence after the crowd cheered and the DJ stopped speaking.
Kohana readied her launcher. It was the moment she had been ready for. "Ready. In. 3, 2, 1… Let. It. Rip!" DJ and the crowd yelled as Kohana and Shinosuke launched their beyblades into the stadium.
"Don't go getting confident! I'll tear your beyblade apart like I did your friends!" Shinosuke said as his beyblade and Kohana's beyblade slashed into each other. Kohana smirked. "We will see about that! I'm not like I was back then! You're the one that shouldn't be so confident!" she replied to him as she countered attacked his beyblade.
Their beyblade slammed and smashed into each other as they attacked. Shinosuke was getting annoyed that Kohana and her beyblade were not going down as easy as he thought they would. He growl and a spark came into his eyes. "Crimzor take care of this weakling already!" he exclaimed. His beyblade lit up and left a trail of ashes behind it. Kohana smiled. " Meloressa move!" she commanded the beyblade that jumped into the air and then a gold aura wrapped around underneath the beyblade as it smashed on top of Shinosuke's beyblade and sent it out of the stadium.
"Winner of the first round of the final match is Kohana Yamichi!" DJ exclaimed and the crowd roared in excitement. Kiku and Michi yelled and cheered for her a few rows below Hoshiko and the others.
"She won the first round! That is a good sign right?" Kerrima asked sounded as happy as Kohana's friends. But the others didn't have the same expressions.
"She did win this round however, Shinosuke is sure not happy about it. He is sure to step up his game." Ray explained to Kerrima. "This next round there will be no holding back."
Hoshiko watched as Kohana picked up her beyblade and put it back on her launcher. Shinosuke on the other hand looked down at his beyblade before picking it up and looking from Kohana to the beyblade. He put his beyblade back on his launcher. "You want to play? Well watch out babe because here I come!" he exclaimed as they both launched their beyblades into the stadium for the second round. This time Shinosuke was going full force.
"His going to bring out his bitbeast." Terrina exclaimed as she looked at her laptop.
Shinosuke's beyblade clip glowed orange as a double tailed squirrel with fur like flames appeared out of it. Hoshiko and the others looked at it in awe. "That is one ugly squirrel" Tyson and Hilary said at the same time.
"Crimzor! Pyro gun!" Shinosuke yelled as the squirrel shot a large flame sphere at Kohana's beyblade.
"Meloressa!" Kohana yelled as the sphere came towards her beyblade. She jumped backwards to avoid it and then covered her face with her arms. This was similar to her battle with Kai. The sphere evaporated and Kohana's beyblade was protected by a gold and silver bubble looked thing around it. Kohana sighed in relief and then looked at Shinosuke. "I will not go down so easily! No one messes with my friends and gets away with it nor do they go around destroying beyblades! Meloressa!" she called on her bitbeast who came out of her beyblade chip in a ray of golden light. The gold and silver fox looked down on the flamed squirrel. "Golden Saber!"
"Crimzor! Pyro gun!" Shinosuke shouted as the fox's tail turned a mix of sliver and golden. Once again the squirrel shot out a flame sphere and the fox ran towards it and sent its tail straight into it. The waves for the attacks sent both Shinosuke and Kohana backwards. They both covered their faces as pieces of the arena went flying around them.
When the fog from the attacks cleared, Hoshiko and the others in the stands stood up to see if the bladers were alright. Kohana stood up slowly wobbling and coughed. Shinosuke was standing up but he had his hands on his knees huffing and trying to catch his breath.
DJ looked as the stadium cleared off. Both of the beyblades were not spinning and the stadium was almost destroyed. He gasped as he saw it and said, "Well it looks like this round is a draw!"
Kohana picked up her beyblade. She watched as Shinosuke did the same thing. They were both out of breath and exhausted. They were also covered in scratches. She looked down at the stadium, it was a total mess. She wasn't sure if it could take another round nor was she sure her and Shinosuke could either. To her surprise, Shinosuke was ready to launch his beyblade again. His eyes showed determination and hint of something else. "What are you doing, you idiot! Can't you see the stadium is in no shape for another round?" she yelled at the black, spiky haired boy.
"Shut up and get ready! It's time to settle this!" he yelled back at her.
Kohana sighed and looked up towards the DJ and then towards the others. She finally put her beyblade onto her launcher. Hoshiko ran out of the aisle and towards the end of the arena that separated it from the stadium. She then felt a pull on her shirt that caused her to turn around, Kai was standing behind her. "It's up to them now" He said to her. She opened her mouth to ask why he was there but then DJ started to count down again.
She watched as Kohana and Shinosuke launched for the last round. Shinosuke's beyblade attacked as it wobbled on the damaged arena. Kohana's beyblade dodged his attacks and countered. Hoshiko watched Shinosuke's sloppy attacks. "What is he doing?" she whispered to herself as she watched.
"He is over doing it. He can't face that he was tied with a girl much less lose to one." Kai explained as he stood next to Hoshiko and watched. Hoshiko looked at him in surprise but then smirked. "Sounds like someone else." She murmured. Kai looked at her from the corner of his eyes.
"Aaargh!" Shinosuke shouted as his beyblade went in for another fire attack but the flames flickered out before he got to Kohana's beyblade which dodged in time and it's counter attack sent it out of the stadium and it landed in front of Shinosuke's feet. Kohana dropped down to her knees and sighed in relief that it was over.
"The new champion of the junior league tournament is Kohana Yamichi!" DJ announced and the crowds roared in excitement and Kohana's friends and the others ran down to the arena to congratulate Kohana on winning. Hoshiko watched and smiled as she stood next to Kai. She turned to look at him and smiled. "Thank you Kai, she couldn't have done this without you battling her. And I'm sorry for going off on you, I wasn't thinking." She said as she returned to watching Kohana and her friends in a group hug as she held the trophy up over her head.
"You're wrong; she wouldn't have done it without your training." Kai replied to her and turned to look at her. Hoshiko smiled at him. "Thanks" she replied as she kissed him on the cheek, Then she walked down to the arena and was hugged by a happy Kohana. Hoshiko returned the hug. "I'm so proud of you." she whispered to Kohana, Who then let go of her to join her friends to go celebrate her big win.
A week after the junior tournament, Hoshiko's life went back to being normal. She hung out and battled with the Bladebreakers, trained her team, and then went home. Her brothers finally returned home and told her all about their trip. She didn't really say about training Kohana when they asked what she had done while they were gone.
As for Kohana and her friends, they went back to battling after the twins fixed and repaired their beyblades. Kohana was getting a taste of what it was like to be in a champion's shoes. Shinosuke on the other hand, disappeared after the tournament, no one has seen him since. Kai had told her that he was probably trying to find ways to get stronger now that he had someone to really battle. Hoshiko laughed at him when he said it. If anyone would know what that was like, it would be him.
Hoshiko did feel a bit lonely since Kohana started to go around with her friends again. But she didn't think much of it. She did think about all the memories it brought up from her past and how alike Kohana and herself were similar. Knowing this fact kept her from worrying or thinking about how Kohana's live will be affected by her win. The young pink haired girl was ready to face it on her own. Hoshiko smiled as she thought about it.
***Kohana's bitbeast is a Fox and Shinosuke's bitbeast is a Squirrel. it was not intend to reference the food chain of creatures. i just thought a flame squirrel was an interesting idea. but the irony is pretty funny. (hahaha)
After years of working on this fanfiction and it has changed a lot over those years, i am sad and proud to say that the end of it has came. so thank you reading and please review, review, review.
