Hello everyone. It's been quite a while hasn't it? Sorry for the lack of updates, I'm in the middle of doing my dissertation and it's a right bitch but hey, if I want to do well, I have to work my butt off. I've only got 9 days left in England so I thought I might as well update once more while I'm here! Enjoy this chapter.

Thank you to everyone who reviewed last time, I'm really glad you enjoy the story so much.

Chapter Eleven

I walked as one condemned, trudging to school as the clouds overhead rumbled, signalling that it would rain later and heavily. Hah; pathetic fallacy at its best. I sighed as I came to the gates of the school, my head hanging, my heart thumping through my chest, making me all the more nervous. Soon it would be all over. No friends, no Host Club, no relationships. I'd be lucky if I could spend the next two and half years hidden in the library. Maybe I'd have to switch schools. Well at least the person up there who really hates me will be rubbing their hands gleefully right now, sitting back to watch the events that will unfold at 3pm.

Just as I was about to take another step, a black BMW suddenly appeared, blocking my path. The window rolled down and there was…um…Hikaru? Kaoru? I'm still not sure, okay! They're identical; I only know when I get talking to them. Not that it would matter soon anyway.

"Get in." The twin barked at me and I rolled my eyes. Ah ha. This was definitely Hikaru.

"Why? I have to get to class and so do you."

"Shut up, Ogura and get in the car. We're taking the day off."

"We can't bunk off! We may get caught!"

At this he flashed me a smile to which my knees did not buckle at.

"I've done it loads of times, come on, live a little. Plus it gives me a chance to make you consider me instead of Kaoru."

I blushed, scowling at him but instead of following my head and ignoring him, I opened the door and jumped in beside him. The moment I was in, the car began speeding down the road.

What was I thinking?! One, I could get caught. Two, that horrid bitch, Hina might see that I'm absent and think I'm bunking so I don't have to tell and thus blurt my secret to everyone before I got there and three, Hikaru was still engaged. Sure, I hate his fiancée but I'm not some harlot. Well…most of the time anyway.

"What happens if you're fiancée finds out you're taking another girl on a date?" I questioned, watching as his eyes flashed with anger at the mention of Hina. He side-stepped the question and answering it with another question.

"What makes you think I'm taking you on a date?" He asked, eyebrows raised, looking at me in amusement.

I scowled, feeling my cheeks redden. "I-I just thought, cos y-you know, we're by ourselves and you-"

I was immediately silenced by his lips gently brushing mine. Oh God.

I could feel my whole face was on fire and when he looked at me, he smiled so tenderly that I nearly threw myself at him. "You're so cute when you blush." He reached over and brushed a stray hair away from my face causing me to blush even more. "And I was only kidding; of course this is a date."

"What would Kaoru say?" I pondered aloud and Hikaru snorted.

"He would be furious he didn't think of this idea first."

I sighed and Hikaru glanced at me in concern. "Something wrong?"

I shook my head before turning my gaze on him. "It's just…Kaoru has been so much nicer to me and when I found out about you and Hina, he comforted me. Why, when you're engaged, should I even bother?"

"Because I don't want to be! This engagement has nothing to do with me, Kotoko! I don't know how many times I have to tell you." He scoffed slightly before adding, "And honestly, let's be realistic here, you liked me first. You wouldn't have looked twice at Kaoru if Hina hadn't opened her big mouth."

I ran a hand through my locks wearily. "Maybe but the fact of the matter is, she did and now everything is so messed up." So much more than you even think, Hikaru.

He grabbed my hands and held them in his own, as I gazed deep into his sinfully beautiful topaz eyes. Cue the heart-stuttering from a one Kotoko Ogura.

"Can we just spend the day not thinking about anyone else but ourselves? Can you, just for today, forget about Hina and Kaoru and just let me show you a good time?"

I smiled albeit a bittersweet one as this would probably be the last time we would ever spend together.

"Okay. Let's just be Kotoko and Hikaru."

He grinned. "I think our names go pretty well together."

And although I didn't say anything, I would have to agree.

It was nearly half two when we returned to the gates of Ouran and although I had never had so much fun in my life, I was now scared shitless. I quickly got out of the car as Hikaru did the same and as the vehicle drove off, we looked at each other awkwardly.

"So…"

"Yeah…"

"Look, Hikaru-"

"Uh, Kotoko-"

We both broke off. Why were we acting like this? We had spent the whole day together but now we were back at Ouran we were turning into two 13 years old who had never dated before.

"You go first." Hikaru prompted and I nodded, feeling a million butterflies in my stomach.

"Um, I just wanted to say that I had a great day, thank you so much." I bowed slightly and he rolled his eyes at my formality.

"It's no sweat, I'm glad you had fun." He paused before moving a step closer to me. My heart rate immediately began to speed up. "Have you decided who you are going to choose?" He was so close his breath mingled with mine and I struggled to think straight.

"Um…well…"

Hikaru grinned, knowing exactly the effect he was having on me before pressing his lips to mine in a searing kiss. This kiss was different from the others; this one meant business. And I had no problem accepting it in full as this was going to be the last time it ever happened. I tried not to think of that.

Before I knew it, however, he was at least a metre away from me, to which I let out the most fatally embarrassing moan at the loss of contact. When he saw me biting my lip and scowling, his eyes glittered and he smirked in triumph.

He then suddenly turned on his heel and began walking into the school as he called out, "See you at three Ogura!"

Oh bugger.

God! That little whore just didn't know when to quit. That was the final straw. I had be quite nice to her, letting her be the one to tell everyone that she was just a filthy commoner and but she had crossed the line. Did she not understand the words 'engaged' and 'fiancée'? Okay so maybe Hikaru was the one who had initiated that kiss but he was under her spell and by God was I not going to break it.

I turned away from the window as the door opened and smirked at the person before me. The person in question frowned.

"What do you want Hina? I have to get ready for the Host Club and I have no idea where Hikaru is."

I flashed my brother-in-law-to-be a smile. "Oh good, Kaoru you got my text. Excellent."

He raised his eyebrows in bemusement. "What's going on?"

I worked hard to keep the victorious smirk from my face.

"I'm afraid I have something to tell you…about Kotoko."

Uh oh! Now Kaoru is about to find out! What's going to happen in the next chapter when Kotoko has to reveal who she really is?! Review to find out! I love bribing you guys! Also please do the poll on my profile page, it's about this story! Thanks for reading, LucyMoon1992 x
