PLEASE READ THIS:
Hi guys! I really, really need more plot ideas so please send them to me if you have any! I was thinking of doing a sequel to this story after I finish it because I want the Marauders and the gang to survive but to make it logical something has to change the timeline. I'm thinking of sending two people back to the past from the generation we came to know and love in the original books but I'm separating it into two fanfics because I know some people don't like those types of stories. I wanted to send two people instead of one because I already paired this generation of people and what's a story without a little romance? Tell me what you think of this and if you want me to do it or not!
"I'm sorry." Evelyn said.
Catherine shook her head. "No, it's fine. You didn't know."
"But," Evelyn said. "I was ranting to you for so long about Sirius and I! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring back memories of your past boyfriends."
Catherine nodded. They were all in the library now. Lily was sitting on the couch next to Evelyn while Catherine sat on the floor in front of them, fiddling with her tie.
Classes were over now and none of them could bring themselves to go to any of the classes that day. Even Lily, who's grades were her life.
"So what now?" Lily asked quietly.
Catherine twirled her hair in between her fingers.
"Now," Catherine smirked. "We are going to look our goddamn best for the fall dance in three weeks. There's a Hogsmeade trip this Saturday. So, who's up for dress shopping?"
"Hey are you still fooling around with Black?" A girl asked. She had brown hair and blue eyes.
"Kelly!" The other girl yelled in disbelief. This girl had dirty blond hair with gorgeous eyes that were green or blue depending on the light. She had the body of a model and her school skirt was 2 inches shorter than it was supposed to be. "Why would you ask? Of course!" The girl lied through gritted teeth.
Kelly shrugged. "It's just that his ex girlfriend—you know, the one that moved away last year?— is back. So should we be worried?"
The girl looked up from her magazine and froze. "Your not talking about Reeves, right?"
Kelly blinked. "Who else would I be talking about? Julianna, are you alright?" Kelly reached out, as if to touch Julianna's shoulder but she batted her hand away.
"You know that when I'm not in the best mood you have talk to me formally! That means no first names!" Julianna screeched.
Kelly looked down. "Sorry, Juli—Walker." She corrected.
Julianna nodded then looked down. That Evelyn girl was back huh? Oh this would not go well, Julianna thought. That girl was the reason that Sirius stopped coming to her. All because he cared too much about her feelings. How stupid, Julianna thought bitterly. She can't get in the way again! But how to go about doing it...
Julianna crumpled the magazine in her hand and stared at her surroundings. Blue. Everything was blue.
I didn't get into Ravenclaw for nothing. I'll figure something out.
"Lily. Lily! Get your arse out of bed!" Evelyn yelled while jumping on her roommates bed. Lily groaned.
"It's Hogsmeade! Everyone else is gone and I've been trying to wake you up for half an hour! We promised to meet Cath ten minutes ago!" Evelyn said worriedly. Lily sat up immediately.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?!" Lily said, agitated. Evelyn opened her mouth to protest but then closed it and shook her head. There was no point.
Lily went through her many, many drawers and closets of clothing and tried to find a suitable outfit. Once she found something satisfactory, Lily raced to the washroom to change.
"Wait!" Evelyn called out. Lily turned back with one foot in the washroom. Evelyn grabbed her wand from her right boot and showed it off to Lily.
"We're wizards!" Evelyn said proudly.
Evelyn waved her wand and said an incantation to magically change Lily's clothes. "Vestes comburet!"
Well, that's what it was supposed to do but instead, the clothes in Lily's hand burned into ashes.
"Evelyn! The spell is Vestes Switch! How in the world of Merlin did you get Comburet?!" Lily yelled in horror. Evelyn's eyes were wide.
"Sorry! But you have a lot more clothes, right? Here, if you liked them that much I have another spell to put it back—"
"No! No more spells from you!" Lily cried. She walked over to her drawers again and picked another outfit. Evelyn sighed.
"I'm just going to wait in the common room, okay?" Evelyn didn't hear the answer to her question as she was already out the door and walking down the stairs.
As she neared the bottom she saw James looking hopefully at the stairs. He deflated a bit after he saw Evelyn but still looked hopeful.
"Hi Evelyn! Did you see Lil—"
Evelyn kept on walking without looking at James.
"Evelyn? Oh, come on! Are you still mad about the Sirius thing? Because I thin—"
Evelyn grabbed her wand and repeated the incantation she had used earlier in the 7th year dorms. Evelyn watched gleefully as James's clothes—Jeans and a plain white shirt—burn to the ground, leaving him in just his underwear.
"My name to you is Reeves or nothing at all." Evelyn smirked as James cursed then ran up the stairs to the boys dormitory.
Lily skipped down the stairs in a pretty floral dress with a thin cardigan. The dress was very casual so it didn't make Evelyn feel as underdressed as she could have felt in her worn-out jeans, grey shirt and combat boots.
"Let's go!" Lily sang and they both walked out of the common room, 20 minutes late to meeting Catherine.
"So what do you have to say for yourselves?" Catherine said while tapping her foot impatiently.
When Evelyn saw Catherine, she was surprised at her choice of clothing. Evelyn thought Catherine would be the type of girl who wore heels and sparkly dresses everywhere but no.
Cath was currently standing in front of them with a white button-up shirt, plain black skirt and a pair of black Chuck Taylor's.
Evelyn smiled sheepishly. "Surprise?"
Catherine did not look amused. Evelyn looked pointedly at Lily.
Lily dramatically placed her hand over her heart. "Oh, how you wound me so! How dare you place the blame on a poor, innocent soul such as myself?"
Evelyn rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Anyway, long story short, Lily wouldn't get up."
Catherine looked as though she wanted to stay mad but then gave in. "Well I guess that's that. Now let's get going. We're too late for the bus but I guess we can walk."
"Now that, is what I call a beautiful dress." Lily said in awe.
The display in the shop showed that they had a variety of dresses in many types and colours. They had dresses ranging from costumes, to sundresses, to semi-formal, to weddings. They had everything in every colour.
Lily in particular, was staring at a mint green dress with a thick, white strap around the middle. The bottom of the dress was higher in the front than the back.
It was pretty, Evelyn concluded. It would look gorgeous on Lily. Evelyn lightly bumped Lily's shoulder with hers.
"Go try it on." Evelyn encouraged. Lily smiled and walked into the store. Evelyn waved Catherine over and they both followed after Lily.
Lily spun around in a circle. Laughing at the applause, she curtsied for her audience.
"Bravo!" Evelyn clapped excitedly. Catherine clapped as well. The dress, as Evelyn predicted, looked absolutely stunning on Lily.
Lily nodded. "I'm going to get this one." Lily said to the store clerk, who nodded and helped Lily get out of the dress.
Catherine turned to Evelyn. "What about you? Which dress do you want to buy?" Catherine asked curiously.
Evelyn shook her head. "The girls at Beauxbatons gave me a dress as a goodbye present last year." Evelyn explained. "I'm planning to wear it to the dance. And no, you can't see it yet." She added.
Catherine deflated. "Fine. I'm going to go look for my dress and you're not gonna see it!"
As Catherine walked away, Lily walked up to Evelyn with her dress in a plastic bag. With the way Lily was glaring at Evelyn, she would guess that she overheard her conversation with Catherine.
"Am I allowed to see your dress?" Lily asked. There was an undertone to her voice that implied that there was only one answer she would accept.
Evelyn sighed dramatically and rolled her eyes. "Fine." Lily's face lit up and she squealed in delight.
"But before that, we need to find Catherine a dress."
The three girls walked out of the dress shop, happy with their purchases. Though Evelyn already had a dress, she couldn't stop herself from getting one thing...
She opened up her bag and smiled and the bejewelled headband she bought.
"Okay!" Lily said happily. "Let's go get Butterbeers!"
Lily walked faster than Catherine and Evelyn with her longer legs so it was a given that Lily entered The Three Broomsticks first. But as soon as Lily set foot in the building, she turned around, her face burning red.
Evelyn and Catherine paused for a moment before turning to walk towards Lily instead of the building.
"Wha-"
"I-I, um.. Well it- It's just.. JAMES!" Lily screamed backing away from the double doors.
The Marauders walked out laughing and they were all watching Lily.
"Come on Lily-flower!" James yelled. He was obviously drunk. "I need to know! Why haven't you been coming to the Heads dorm with me?!"
The rest of the Marauders nodded their heads in agreement although they looked like they barely knew what was going on.
Evelyn snorted. "Because she likes us better obviously."
James rolled his eyes. "Sure. Why would Evans prefer that-" He gestured to Evelyn as Catherine was a Slytherin and didn't sleep in the Griffindor dorms. "Over this?" He gestured to himself.
"You are such an arrogant piece of arse! You are nothing but a silly child who thinks to highly of himself! If you really liked me-which you obviously don't-then maybe you would stop acting like a child!" Lily screeched.
James stared at her for a long moment then collapsed on the floor.
"Prongsie!" Sirius yelled in what sounded like agony then fell to his knees dramatically.
Catherine grabbed both Lily and Evelyn's arm and jerked them away from the spectacle.
"Let's go."
