Book II Chapter 2: Kekkei Genkai Secrets

A/N: I once again changed the name and this one is going to stay. I'll try not to bs this fight like they did in the anime. Hope you guys remembered chapter 7 when Naruto asked how Sakura knew where Danzo was because that's coming into play here. I also put in a jutsu list and timeline for those confused instead of two years Naruto and Sakura has been apart it's three years for plot purposes.

Sakura looked at the both of her teammates go head to head with the swordsmen duo. She healed the small wound but wasn't going to jump in just yet. She wanted to see just how strong Naruto got. She knew that back in Otogakure he wasn't at full strength. It wasn't the burned hands that were the problem. So what was it?

Naruto dodged another sword strike from Kushimaru. He was extremely fast and very flexible. He hated leaving the other guy to Hanabi, but the small girl insists that she had it handled.

He also noticed that the duo wasn't getting along well together. Naruto also didn't want to unleash his new powerful move. Even if he did they wouldn't be destroyed like that he had a feeling that they would just regenerate.

Naruto didn't know exactly what the swordsman techniques were.

After breaking apart from the man, he took a glance over at Hanabi's fight. Jinpachi was definitely going easy on her since he hasn't used any explosions yet. He could tell that was frustrating her and hoped that Sakura would help her out.

She must have read his thoughts when a shadow clone of herself came from nowhere and also joined in the fray of attacks. Naruto saw from the corner of his frog-like eyes that the shaggy sandy blonde was going to attack him. Just barely being able to dodge the attack Naruto pulled his leg back, he drove his foot into his face. The ninja stumbles back away from him.

Naruto quickly made two shadow clone one helped him create a Rasengan while the other held off the swordsman.

Naruto compress spinning chakra in one of his palms with the help of the shadow clone. He increases the amount if chakra added to it making the ball of blue chakra larger.

"Senpō: Ōdama Rasengan!" Naruto charges at the ninja who was currently distracted by his shadow clone or so he thought. Naruto jumps onto a nearby branch and hops off of it over top Kushimaru fully intending on colliding the Rasengan with his body. Kushimaru using his quick reflexes and speed disappeared.

Not being able to stop himself the Rasengan collides with the ground making a huge explosion of dust shoot up covering the battlefield. "I missed. This won't be as easy as I thought."

Naruto's sage mood fades as the cloud starts disappearing. Naruto turned just in time for a needle-like sword to nip his cheek. Before he could retaliate the sword was pulled back to the wielder.

Naruto grinned and used his thumb to wipe the blood from his new cut. "You're pretty good mask face."

Kushimaru laughs maniacally, "I'm going to stitch you up." He stands in this weird wide stance. All Naruto saw was the after image of his opponent.

A clone disappears with Sage mode activated. "We'll just have to see won't we." Naruto just about to charged at the masked face stranger with his kunai stops when he sees the glint of wire. Good thing he noticed he would have lost his feet and when did he put the string down.

While his attention was diverted by the sharp wire. The shaggy blonde chose that moment to attack him by piercing him with the long sword with such precision that it damn near scared him. As quickly as the sword went through his body it was pulled right back out.

The blood lingered on the needle-like sword. Naruto brushed off the wound but before attacking his opponent again he collapse on one knee. He clutches the place where his heart was located. It felt like someone was squeezing his heart painfully. "AHHH!"

He was unable to force his mind to the forget about the pain from his attacker and concentrate on whether the man was going to attack again.

He could feel all eyes on him as he wondered what was wrong with his heart. He noticed Kushimaru laughing at his demise it had something to do with him. "I told you I'm going to stitch you up, kid. One wrong move and my wires will squeeze and cut up your heart."

From across the forest, Jinpachi yells loudly. "I see you're getting serious Kushimaru I guess I have no choice but to also get serious huh?" The brown haired man grinned his shark-like teeth at the two females.

The two females were weary of fighting him they had to be careful of the narrow cutting edge located down the entirety of one length and a wide platform section on the other. A scroll of explosive tags coming straight for the duo. Before getting any closer, it does a turn and circle around the two. Just as the bomb detonates Sakura grabs Hanabi and without doing any hand signs she does the Doton Kekkai: Do Domu Jutsu. A dome of earth that was composed of tightly packed dirt protected them from the blast. Hanabi coughed as the dirt from the dome collapse on them.

"We have to help Naruto Sakura-sensei." Sakura was aware they did before his heart was literally in pieces. She wasn't sure what to do She couldn't just up and leave Hanabi with the man. Hanabi was a close ranged fighter and he was both long range and close ranged. A yell from behind her made her toes curl she immediately made her decision.

Sakura closes her eyes and breathes deeply ignoring Hanabi's frantic worried voice. The next minute she opened her eyes the were blood red like a Kyuubified Naruto.

Hanabi gasp and back up from the deathly serious woman. The air around her shifted from calm to full of blood lust. She makes a shadow clone next to her. "Protect her." Sakura's voice was mixed with her normal voice and a demonic voice.

The clone nods and grabs Hanabi. She walks calmly to the skinny shaggy blonde who was looking at her curiously. Her blood lust came into contact with his blood lust. The amount of Killer intent in the air was enough to choke.

"I'll have to thank you Kushimaru-san. She had no choice but to depend on me and let me out of that hell hole." Kushimaru just stared at her his finger only moving slightly.

"With just one move I can kill your friend." Sakura starts chuckling quite loudly.

"Do you honestly think I care I'm not outer I'm inner kill him for all I care. I'll be able to play with that big kit that resides within him." She could tell she hit a nerve when red chakra surrounded Naruto before subsiding.

"Tell me sword man how rusty are you?" Kushimaru didn't answer as she expected. She pulls out a scroll and unseal her sword. Despite the sword lusting for her blood, she was still able to control it and wield it with precision.

"Your arms." Inner gets into Sakura's usual stance with the sword in both of her hands. "You won't be needing those anymore." She launched herself toward him. Before she reached him though she uses Shunshin no Jutsu to get above him. She twisted her body almost inhumanly around in the air before slashing right through his arm that were controlling the wires in Naruto's body.

Sakura quickly gathers Naruto from the battle before Kushimaru had time to regenerate. Inner Sakura turns just in time to block the stab from the sword that could have been fatal. An explosion goes off behind her inner paid no attention to that. She grinned evilly at the swordsman. The guy was a but cautious of her grin and quickly jumped further away from her. He observed her every move if he blinked he would have missed her flinch. He wondered why she flinch until he sensed another strong sense of bloodlust coming from the sword. It was like that sword had a mind of its own and was hungry for blood. He hasn't had a challenge like this in a very long time and he also grinned evilly excited at this.

"Sorry, but I just don't have time to deal with you right now." Inner Sakura's face goes deathly serious as she prepared her blade to kill. Dimly aware of the darkness shrouding her figure, Naruto glances at Sakura.

'You can't just kill him inner he'll just come back.'

'I'm aware so just sit back and watch.' She heard the real Sakura grumble something under her breath before she focused on the problem at hand. Inner Sakura sheath her sword causing him to raise an eyebrow. He made the mistake of blinking and found a hand grip his face before forcing his body on the ground forming a large crater.

Inner stopped having fun a while ago when she realized that the Edo Tensei couldn't feel pain. She wanted to hear him cry out in pain as his limb was disconnected from his body. Writhe in agony as she fed his blood to Muramasa.

Inner Sakura jumps out of the crater she left him in. 'How the hell am I suppose to kill him?'

Original Sakura was quiet for a minute before finally coming up with the answer. 'Inner look in my pouch and see if I have any sealing tags. If so use them to seal up Kushimaru he's not going to be willing so be careful.'

'I can't promise you I'll be careful outer I am much more reckless than you.'

"Oi baka are you up." She never takes her eyes off of the dust covered crater. Slowly she digs through the pouch and finds what she's looking for. She pulls two of her only red tags in her hand as slow as possible. As if any minute Kushimaru would rise from the crater and try to poke a hole through her body. She did wonder why when real Sakura got stabbed didn't he use that technique on her. She could only guess it was an order by that old snake Danzo.

"Sakura-chan." His hand was still over his heart, but she did notice he was in sage mode now. He stops in his steps towards her when he finally notice her blood red eyes.

He must have thought that his old Sakura-chan was in control. "Not Sakura-chan." Inner rolls her eyes before giving him a seal tag. She saw a figure in the cloud of dust rise creating a shadow. Her opponent was back for round two.

"Go to Hanabi and my clone and seal up Jinpachi." Naruto shocked look flash to determination as he watched her eyes flicker to green then back to red. He takes the tag and she was about to be on her way he stops her.

"Oi! I hope you didn't take over Sakura-chan's body or I'll just have to beat you out of her." Inner doesn't spare him a glance, but she does whisper her response that got carried through the wind to him. It wasn't exactly strange since his chakra nature was the wind.

"Keep dreaming. You're lucky I haven't killed you yet." She unsheathes her sword and uses her Shunshin no Jutsu to get closer to the now fully regenerated ninja. Their swords clash metal against metal sounding throughout the forest. They both jump back before bombarding each other with attacks this time it was different. They both attacked and blocked repeatedly he got a few cuts and she got a few cuts. Him being able to regenerate it didn't affect him but her on the other hand it was causing some light problems.

One, for instance, was her blood that the sword was feeding on. The pointed sword nipped her skin every now and then causing a new scar and more blood to flow.

"It's an honor to be fighting one of the legendary swordsmen." She snarls when her blade blocks an attack aiming for her head.

"Too bad I'll have to end this." Kushimaru didn't understand what she meant at all until a red seal was put on his chest. Inner winks at him and before he knew it he was being wrapped like a mummy with no way out. She hated the way her battle ended with the swordsman she wanted blood to be spilled. Her hands to be caked in the metallic tasting liquid.

"Damn you!" He thrashes about trying to break free from the seal choosing those words to be his last ones. Inner's eyes fade back to green her time already up. Sakura sheathed her sword she really hated when inner didn't listen to her about the sword. She was reminded that inner did still want to take her body and be the one in control. Calling on inner wasn't the smartest thing to do but it was her only option.

The wind picks up suddenly flowing towards one place. She turn around and saw Naruto using Futon Rasenshuriken.

"Shi—" she cuts herself off when she sees her normal eye colored clone holding Hanabi watching the fight. Hanabi had the look of hurt she wanted so badly to help Naruto.

The Rasenshuriken collides with his sword and with perfect timing he uses his sword's technique. The paper bombs blow up creating a huge explosion that even from where she was standing she got blown off her feet. A large blast forms a caldera on the forest ground.

"Damn it Naruto you had one job." Once the wind and cloud of dirt and debris settle down she sees what the outcome of the battle was. Naruto layed flat on the ground groaning from the burns. She looks across from him to see Jinpachi was unable to move since he was missing his top half.

Sakura walks over to her blonde teammate with a look of disappointment. he was blinded for the moment since the sun was behind her. "Good to have you—back Sakura." He coughs up some blood from damaging his internal organs.

"Why didn't you throw it?" She asks her usual emotionless mask back on her face.

"It had to make a direct hit even at the cost of these injuries." For some strange reason, Naruto just grinned up at her. Sakura just ignores the urge to roll her eyes at his logic. "Where's the seal?"

Naruto looks confused for a minute before realizing what he was originally supposed to do. "It's in my pouch." Sakura nods and digs through the pouch while she was doing that Naruto decides to ask the question that was weighing on his mind.

"Sakura-chan how did your inner come out like that?" Sakura pauses in her search for a minute before going back to it.

"Save your strength." She finds it and goes to press it against the forming torso. Just like Kushimaru Jinpachi's body—what's left of it—was wrapped like a mummy.

Sakura's clone and Hanabi come out from behind some trees. They go to assist the half-conscious man. Who was still grinning like an idiot.

The clone uses the rest of its chakra to heal what it could. Hanabi looked between the two they were both pretty injured in their own way. Naruto from what she could tell had internal damage and a few wounds on the outside. Sakura was extremely pale either from blood loss or chakra depletion.

She stared at the now panting woman a little longer the image of those blood red eyes stuck in her mind. The amount of dense chakra she had was very overwhelming.

Green chakra surrounded her hand and she started working on healing all of the cuts. Hanabi wasn't sure what to do she was part of a team with the strongest Kunoichi she's even seen and the strongest Shinobi. She was going to be trained by Sakura and maybe even Naruto. "Kabuto probably noticed that his little creations were defeated and are probably in the process of sending more. We should hurry and get to Suna."

"Hai." They both glance at Naruto who was now either sleeping or resting his eyes.

Sakura tosses her clone a blood pill to give to him. "He needs it more than me."

"Sakura-chan you know I can't do that besides you don't have a big fox inside of you that can heal you." The clone looks back at original with questioning eyes. "Even from here I can see you're paler than usual. Your arm that you hold the sword in was bleeding so I can only guess that your sword was draining your blood."

Naruto sits up and stands on shaky legs he stumbles a few steps but was able to keep standing. Sakura puts the blood pill in her mouth when it was obvious he wasn't going to take it. "We'll go at a slower pace until nightfall than in the morning we'll head out."

Hanabi despite Naruto's affirmation that he was ok she still helped him by putting an arm over her shoulder so he could lean on her.

Sakura disperses her clone and started walking to where she thought Suna was. Her vision was blurry and she had to focus extra hard in order to not lose her step. She was n't used to using Inner for battle in fact she only tried it couple times.

It was going to be a long tiresome day.

"Sasuke I hope you were able to get what you needed by going back to Konoha." Tobi or Madara as he calls himself asks. Sasuke would never admit it, but he enjoyed being team 7 again. It was dare he say nostalgic.

"Hn." After the summit Sasuke team taka and Tobi went back to the Akatsuki base.

"It seems that our old friend Danzo took advantage of that bomb to become the Hokage." Sasuke grunts. The only reason why they were there was to kill that old war hawk. They only succeeded in helping him reach his goal.

"You're probably wondering what your old teammates are doing. They fled away from the village a bunch of them where to we don't know." Tobi crosses his arms and looks nonchalantly with his one Sharingan eye.

"Your female teammate was able to take down your whole team yes?" Sasuke doesn't reply, but his silence spoke volumes enough. It seems that Sasuke has become interested in the pinkette.

"She has this power in her, but she's unable to control it maybe a Kekkei Genkai that just awakened." Sasuke grunts. He wasn't expecting any reply just thinking out loud.

"It is indeed a Kekkei Genkai first generation to be exact for the last two years we've been keeping tabs on Danzo using Kabuto. Danzo is well aware of this Kekkei Genkai having had one of his spies overhear a conversation between Sakura's parents and the third Hokage." Having caught the attention of the Uchiha who was now staring at him with his full attention.

"He trapped her parents in a hard spot either put her in the ROOT or they die. Danzo gave them a couple years to come up with a decision. They came up with a decision but not the one that will save their lives. 3 years ago they were murdered and the one who murdered her parents murderer was Sakura herself. Two years later she joined ROOT and ANBU. She was told by Danzo that she was to leave ANBU. I'm unaware what exactly happened between the two for all we know she could be another Itachi. Sasuke flinches but doesn't object to that choice of words. Sakura didn't seem like the type to join Danzo or ROOT then again what did he know about his old teammates.

"How do you know all of this?" Sasuke asks sounding very suspicious.

"Dear Sasuke I have my ways of finding out these things." Tobi rises to leave but was stopped I mid stride.

"Wait you didn't tell me what Sakura's Kekkei Genkai was." Tobi chuckles his one sharingan spinning in the dark.

"Weren't you listening Sasuke she's first generation it could be anything." With that Tobi left Sasuke in his corridors to contemplate over his new discovery. He didn't trust Tobi at all, but Sasuke was aware that there was another message that was unsaid, but he still understood.

They were going to find out.

A/N: I like this chapter even though this is like the first real fight of this fanfic it turned out pretty good. Tobi is a sneaky bastard remember that. Not much happened Inner took over Sakura's body and finished up there's a reason why she did that you'll just have to wait.
