Requested: by MeganSarah11 with the request to add Henrik. And so a little adorable brother got added to the mix ;)

"He thinks he's a mind reader."

"Vanilla ice cream," the little boy says just before the guy at the ice cream cart receives his cone. "I told you it was vanilla!" he says and elbows his older brother.

"Lucky guess," the guy scoffs and the kid rolls his eyes. "Okay fine, the girl over there will order strawberry and chocolate." He points at her in the line and she stifles a laugh. The kid is half right, but whatever they were playing, she's curious so when it's her turn she changes her order.

"One scoop of strawberry and one chocolate please." Caroline hands the guy her money and walks over to the pair with her cone in hand.

"See! I told you she was going to order strawberry and chocolate!" the small guy gloats while poking the older guy in excitement.

"What's going on here," she asks curiously, while she smiles at the duo, taking a lick of her cone. She looks at the older brother while the younger kid is looking at him with a smug grin.

Klaus looks at the girl in surprise. She's cute, in a peppy way. Her smile lights up her face while she looks at his little brother. "He thinks he's a mind reader," he offers as explanation. He glances at Henrik with an amused eye roll. His brother however only looks proud "He's sure that guessing three people's ice cream orders proofs he's legit."

"Aaah," the girl laughs at that. "Well, how do you know he's not a mind reader?" she challenges and he looks up in surprise. From all the responses, he hadn't counted on this one. She took his little brother's side.

The kid looks at her with a grin and nods enthusiastic at her defense of him. "Yes, Klaus! Just because you can't read minds, you don't know that I can't!" Henrik stubbornly adds, shooting the girl a grateful grin for her support.

"Yeah," Caroline agreed, ganging up with the little brother while taking another bite of her ice cream. "You keep asking him to prove himself, but what proof do you have that he's wrong? I mean… he did guess what ice cream I was ordering." At this point, she's definitely not going to tell that she changed her order solely to accommodate the kid.

"OMG," Klaus raises his arms dramatically, "Fine, Henrik if you want to be a mind reader so badly, okay you're a mind reader."

"REALLY?" Henrik makes a high pitched squeal and throws his arms around his brother's waist. "I knew you were going to say that," he brags. He shots Caroline a conspiring smile and she laughs at the sight.

"Okay, Mr, Mind reader," Caroline says, "Show me your magic! What is my name?" She continues eating her ice cream while she watches the boy think hard for several seconds.

Henrik shakes his head with disappointment, "I can't do that," he admits. "It doesn't work if you're not thinking about it."

"Oh," Caroline feigns a sad face. "Well it's Caroline," she offers, "And you're Henrik, right?"

"Are you a mind reader too?" Henrik gasps at that and Caroline lets out another laugh. "I wish I was that awesome. Nope, I just listened when your brother said it," she winks and Henrik almost looks disappointed at that.

"Oh, I suppose that's nice too," he says and she smiles at him. "So do you know my brother's name as well?" Henrik asks, not remembering if that one was mentioned as well.

"I do not," Caroline admits and glances over at the older brother. He seems to simply observe the two, letting her engage his little brother while looking at their interaction with something close to bemusement.

"That's Klaus," Henrik points at him and Caroline quickly raises her hand in a short wave as an acknowledgement. "Want to know what Klaus is thinking?" Henrik says with a gleam in his eyes.

Klaus groans at the turn of conversation but he has given up on convincing his brother he's merely taking guesses. If the mind reader thing amuses him then so be it. And if someone would suggest that a little blonde happened to be the cause for him to change his mind, he would lie and deny it.

"Tell me," Caroline clapped her hands together in excitement, almost dropping her ice cream in the process, "I do love secrets."

"My brother thinks you're cute," Henrik tells her. Before Klaus can protest he turns towards his brother, "I'm going to get ice cream," he announces. "Leave you two alone for a bit…" he runs off and Caroline watches him go with a laugh.

"Well he's definitely something," Caroline says as she turns towards Klaus. She has to give Henrik credit for giving them a few minutes alone to… talk?

"He's not really a mind reader," Klaus brings up again. He doesn't even know why he mentions it but it's the first thing he can think off, now that he's alone with the blonde beauty.

"Really? So you don't think I'm cute?" she challenges and he almost groans. So not fair. Why did Henrik have to put him on the spot like that? His brother is definitely hanging out with Kol too much.

"I- I didn't say that," Klaus admits. When she grins at his admission, he can't help but smile in return.

"See, mind reader," she insists and let out another laugh, "Although if we're being completely honest, I was totally going for only one scoop of chocolate ice cream until I heard him say I was going to order strawberry as well."

"You liar," Klaus teased while he watched her lick up the last bit of her cone. A trail of ice cream drips down from the corner of her lip and he moves closer, grabbing the napkin from her hands. "Here," he wipes at the spot on her lip and she blushes in return.

"Thanks," she mutters and glances at her sticky hands. While she talked with Henrik, ice cream melted all over it. "Well I'm a mess," she declares.

"A cute mess," Klaus argues, making her smile once again.

"And you're a cute big brother," she admits. "Although Henrik might just be a little more adorable," she jokes while she watches the little boy return with two ice cream cones in his hands.

"I knew which flavor you wanted," Henrik calls over, "So I ordered for you too, Klaus!"

"See, totally adorable," Caroline glances back and considers her next move for a moment. "Give me your phone," she blurts out.

Klaus looks at her in confusion for a moment, before he hands her his phone. He looks surprised when she enters her number into his contacts, but he's definitely not arguing her decision.

"Well, I really should go," Caroline announces when Henrik returns. She gives Henrik a little peck on his cheek before she does. "You be nice to your brother, okay?" she tells him. He nods and she looks back at Klaus. "Well… call me," she says before she turns around and leaves the park. She doesn't usually hand out her phone number, but something about the guy intrigued her. She's curious to see where it goes.

It was a lot of fun to write a bit of Henrik for a change. Hope you enjoyed it!
