Following Emma:

Emma Tolly lay sprawled across her bed in the upstairs portion of the bookstore. Olivia sat in a light blue chair not far from her, reading off different things they could go out and do later that day, with not much luck of prying the blonde girl off the bed.

"Em, come on. Let's go do something. You've been sitting in here for a week. We haven't went out once since you went on a date with Tancred. Let's do something." Olivia Vertigo hopped out of the chair and bounced the bed near the girl with her fists.

"Liv, there's nothing to do during the day around here, and you're always with your mom at night. It has nothing to do with Tancred. It's just boring during the day." Emma rolled over on her side.

"Oliva! Emma! I need your help on front counter please! The shop is getting full!" Julia Ingledew called from the bottom of the staircase, knowing the girls would be down soon.

"Come on, we better go ahead and get down there." Olivia playfully pulled her blonde friend off the bed and they raced each other down the stairs.

"Thank you guys so much. Em, take register three. Liv, can you grab two?" Julia handed them each a key to a register and shooed them away.

"How can I help you ma'am?" The shop was so crowded there was a line formed at all three registers.

"Thank you, come again." Emma bent under the counter to put a large bill in the lock box. "Alright, how can I help…" She looked back up to see a blonde spikey haired boy standing nervously in front of her register. "Oh, hi Tancred." She pushed a strand of hair out of her face and looked down at the counter shyly. "You here with your parents?"

"Uh, ya. I mean, yes." He remembered the books in his hand when she glanced at them. "Oh, uh, books."

"Ya, kinda what people tend to get here." A smile spread across her face when his face turned a shade of red. "Is this all?" She put the last book in a bag for him and handed it over.

"Ya, I mean…I mean no. No." He tried to smile, but walked away quickly.
