Dai: This is how you... Tsu, Vee-Vee, you even listening?
Verity: She owns nothing. Really, she can't even control our partners...

For the past five days since the Fortune Cup, if the fact that Jack Atlas had mysteriously disappeared from the hospital wasn't on the headlines, it was the Arcadia Movement. The remaining four members of the Arcadia Gang had to regularly deter reporters. Strangely, Carly was never anywhere in sight.
Sunny was also never anywhere in sight, having disappeared from the Movement and not returned. In all odds, she wouldn't come back. That meant the four of them were without a leader. Akiza was trying to keep everything together, but it probably wouldn't last.
As for the rest of the Movement, new members were coming at a much slower rate. Not that there had been much of one before, but new members were now nearly nonexistent. A few current members were even thinking about taking a leaf out of Sunny's book and dropping out. All in all, it wasn't going to end well for anybody.
After Sammy managed to get out the door for once, she decided to see what had happened in the city in the past five days. Given everything that had happened, from Yusei defeating Jack to the bombshell Sunny dropped afterwards, that would be enough to change things.

Arriving at an area with a few stores, she realized that she had money for some new cards, and decided to purchase a few packs, simply for a chance at some variety. Walking past a section with some Duel Disks, she overheard a conversation with one very familiar voice.
"Kalin, my Duel Disk works just fine. And I highly doubt Sayer bugged it. You're just being paranoid... again."
"What do you mean again?"
"You see, Misty, one time he-"
"Sunny, not another word out of you. She doesn't need to know that."
"Like how I don't need to know how you-"
"Exactly like that. Trust me, it's for your own good."
"But why can't I tell her about-"
"No. I was hoping you wouldn't remember that."
"Hey, you know that my memories have been coming back faster since I left the Movement. I would have remembered eventually."
Sammy searched through the shelves until she saw Sunny with the famous model Misty Tredwell and a boy she didn't recognize from anywhere. From the green Duel Disk in Sunny's hands, it seemed that they were trying to get her to buy it. She backed away slowly and went to get her cards.

After purchasing her cards, Sammy left, noticing that Sunny and the others were gone, along with the Duel Disk they had been arguing over. Well, it seemed that Sunny did in fact lose at times.
Stopping in front of Carly's building, Sammy had to decide whether or not to see if she was home.
"Hey, Carly, you home?"
"Sammy? I honestly didn't expect you here for a while."
"Yeah, we've had better days. Today was the first day I actually managed to get outside. I'd emulate Sunny and ditch the place if Akiza weren't so set on staying. She honestly thinks it's a good idea."
"Speaking of Sunny, I haven't seen her since the Fortune Cup."
"I spotted her buying a Duel Disk with Misty Tredwell, of all people. She sure gets around. Her and that boy."
"Who are you?" Now, most people would be intimidated to have Jack Atlas giving them a death stare. Fortunately for her, Samantha Izinski was not most people.
"My name's Sammy. I'm one of Carly's friends."
"The one with the sadistic streak?"
"You've heard of me?"
"Sunny and Carly both have a tendency to talk... Carly more than Sunny, of course, but still."
"Right... So, what are you doing here? Carly kidnapped you, didn't she?"
"How did you ever guess?"
"She's a fangirl." That was all she needed to say.
"Anyway, sounds like Sunny's making friends I should be introduced to."
"Carly, you already know one celebrity, maybe more. I should check the paper one of these days... Why do you need to know Misty? And that boy... I don't know him, but she seems to. Or, at least used to."
"Oh?"
"Yeah, he tried to stop her from spilling secrets. He succeeded, too. I never heard anything like that except that he was once somewhat paranoid."
"What did he look like?"
"What does that matter?"
"Just tell me."
"Fine. He had silver hair and pale skin. Hey, you alright?"
"Did you catch his name?"
"Um... yeah. Sunny called him Kalin. Jack?"
"I think he's in shock."
"Why? It can't have been that important."
Famous last words, Sammy. Famous last words.

On her way back to Headquarters, Sammy saw a card blowing in the street. She snagged it out of the air and looked to see what it was.
"Interesting..."
"Hey!"
Sammy turned to see a young girl run up. "You found it!"
"What is this?"
"It's one of a set of cards. Someone told me to put one of the cards to the wind and give the set to whoever finds it. So here!"
"These cards are certainly unique."
"One of a kind! They work well with any Spellcaster or Dragon Deck."
Maybe... Just maybe... after all, her moves were getting a bit stale.

Sammy: So, can I show off my new cards now?
Dai: Wait until you have to actually use them, please. Oh, right. Next time we see how Sunny's getting along... better than the Movement, that's for sure.
