The past week have been rigorous mental tests. We have to go through our own fears and face them. My fears are like something out of a horror story in my opinion. My cousin was the one doing my tests of course, but that didn't make them any easier. He's only administering the tests as Lily was when I took my aptitude test.

It's hard to go through fears that have been harbors for years. Years of fearing these things for no reason. However, this is not going to stop me. I'm going to over come my fears. I'm going to make this meaningful.

Today is the final evaluation before it's decided who stays in Dauntless and who is factionless.

I sit in the chair and watch as Lily comes up to me.

"You'll be fine. Just focus."

She then administers the serum.

One thing I know is that I'm in the test room, and the next I'm in a small room with very little light. The light bulb was flickering as if it was about to die. I push my arms out to feel walls on both sides. I put my arms on the other sides only to find a wall and a door. The walls feel like they're closing in. Oh god. Calm down now.

I'm in a closet. My heart rate starts to accelerate until I start to take deep breaths and sit on the floor. I close my eyes and keep breathing even.

Bright light starts to penetrate my eyes. I open my eyes slowly to find myself outside. I stand up and start walking around.

I hear what sounds like a bunch of tiny feet crawling my way from behind me. I turn around a see thousands of spiders. I run forward to where I see a wildfire at the edge of a forest. I grab a flaming stick, that is quickly consuming the rest of the stock, and I throw it at the spiders. The spiders go up in a domino effect.

Water surrounds me until it's fully around me, and I can't find my way to the top. The air in my lungs isn't enough to compensate. I open my mouth to breath in water.

I close my eyes and relax myself. Soon enough, I'm breathing fresh air again.

"Sam, why don't you let me take over? You need a break."

I turned around to see Four behind me with concern on his face.

"No I'm fine. I can handle it Four. Thank you though."

"You need to stop pushing yourself so hard," Four states with a look of do you not trust me.

"I trust you perfectly Four, but I'm fine."

"Then you feel you can't depend on me," he says with certainty.

I felt like I had been shot. Did I feel that way. Yes, I use to. Not anymore. I can depend on my friends and family for anything now.

Four smiled and disappeared.

I then discovered myself in a cave. It wasn't pure dark. No, there were tons of shadows around every turn.

Shadows. Someone could be hiding in one to hurt me when I'm not looking. Or an animal could be in the tunnels shadows and I wouldn't be able to tell. Shadows.

Shadows also suggest that night is coming or dawn is rising. Two good things about the dark lurkings.

My stance relaxed, and once I did the scene changed.

I jolted up in the test chair and gasped in a breath.

I apollogize for how long I've been gone. There will probably be one more chapter left. I will get to my other stories. Please R&R.
