Things Never Seem Right pt. 2
Naomi nearly ran into every person, poll, and object in her way. She felt so light and fresh, like she could just take off the ground and fly away.
"I like him!"
She repeated this over and over in her head. She could tell him how she felt. He said he would wait for her and she believed him. Checking the time on her wristwatch, it read 5:50pm, she had to pick up the pace. It was at this moment where she wished she lived closer to the park, but now was not the time to dwell small things. With all the energy she could muster, she pumped and urged her legs and body to go faster.
"Hold on Yami, I'm on my way!"
Finally she had reaching the park, frantically looked around for the said crimson eyed teen. Quickly scanning the park, she couldn't spot him. She glanced at her watch; 6:25 pm.
"He…must've gone home."
She shook her head at the thought.
"No, I can't think like that! He said he'd wait…"
Shaking off her doubts, she began to search some more. Many couples passed her none resembling the tri-haired teen. As she made her way through the playground area near the trees, she saw a flash of yellow whizzing by, just a few feet away.
"Is that-?"
She turned and squinted in the direction of the figure. Recognizing who it was, she smiled.
"Tea, I'll bet she's seen Yami."
Making her way over to the said brunette, she suddenly stopped as she saw spiky hair.
"… Yami!"
She walked quickly towards the two, then stopped. Confused…she hid behind a tree and peeked at the two.
"What she doing here?"
What shocked her next was the sudden hug Tea gave Yami, which he returned. Naomi snorted, getting off the tree.
"What am I worried about?"
She grinned as she got neared the two.
"They're just…"
"It'll be fine you'll see…Don't worry so much."
Naomi gasped. "Did she say…"
She saw Yami nod and smile, both still locked in an embrace. If people were to walk by, they would have thought them to be lovers.
A jolt of pain pricked her skull. It was a dull throb, but gradually increased by the second. This scene…it seemed familiar…too familiar. She hissed as her migraine increased…her eyes clenched tightly. Two people…a garden…the pain escalated. Her gripping her head and hair…they were talking…what were they saying? Tears pricked her eyes…why did it hurt so much…what was going on?! A scene flashed…they were laughing…jealousy…betrayal…rage…whose emotions were these. The pain was too unbearable, she wanted to scream. Why was this happening?!
The scene became clearer much to her dismay. The clearer it became the more it hurt. A king…no…a pharaoh…her dream…and a woman…she looked like Tea. They were talking…and hugging…he kissed her cheek…her heart felt broken…what was this? Why was this happening now?! Hurt…anger…sadness…betrayal…
Betrayal…
Her eyes jerked open…
Betrayal…
These dreams…no these weren't simple dreams…

They were memories…

It all made sense…everything. Why she didn't like Yami in the beginning…the anger and hostility she gave him…
Betrayal…
It was all clear now…he had hurt me back then…betrayed me back then and now…
I'll never forgive you.
"Yami," she spoke, barely above a whisper.
The said teen and brunette turned towards her. At that moment...time stood still.
