"what no…no he's just an old friend I'm not-We're not like that I mean I haven't even seen the guy in years and-" Without thinking I lean forward and press my lips against her's.

She tenses at first but then relaxes into me. As I pull away I look into her big doe eyes. She breaths heavily as her eyes lock with mine. I step back from her a bit; uncertain of what to do next.

"Austin" she says small-ly. I look up from the ground and meet her eyes. She shakes her head and runs off.

My heart breaks as I watch her run away. I just ruined everything.

ALLY'S POV:

I was shaking. I was happy. I was scared. I was confused. I don't know what to feel. One second Austin and I are walking and the next he kisses me!

I just needed to be alone for a bit.

"Ally?" I hear a soft voice say. I look up and meet with Austin's caring hazel eyes.

"yah" I say. He sits down next to me.

"are-are you ok" he asks. I sigh.

"um…yah…just…could we just forget about the kiss for now" I say shakily. Hurt flashes across his eyes but then they soften.

He swallows and nods.

"yah" he say in a faint whisper. I smile a little.

"thanks" he nods, looking a bit frustrated.

A silence falls over us again.

AUSTIN'S POV:

I sigh, looking at the gorgeous young lady beside me. I stand up.

"come on" I say putting out my hand. She furrows her brow as she takes my hand.

"where are we going" I smile.

"to have some fun"

ALLY'S POV:

"kayaking?" I saw raising an eye brow at him.

"come on it's beautiful here and I think you'll like it" I sigh, still feeling a bit awkward about everything that happened.

"ok" He smiles.

"yay! Now come on…I know I kind of made things pretty awkward earlier but I'm trying to get things back to normal so help me out here" He says with pleading eyes. I sigh and look down slightly, biting my lip.

"I know it's just that…I wanted to kiss you" I whisper slightly, blushing mad.

AUSTIN'S POV:

My heart is beating out of my chest. She wanted to kiss me!

"w-what" I say. She shakes her head.

"nevermind. Kayaking let's go" She grabs a paddle from off the rack and hops into one of the tandem boats. I chuckle a bit as she pats the seat behind her. I sigh and grab a paddle before joining her in the kayak.

"Ally stop" I say with slight amusement in my voice.

"What" she says. I chuckle.

"if this is gonna work we have to be paddling the right way" I say raising my eyebrows in amusement. She blushes a bit.

"oh details details" I laugh a bit.

"yah I think we're done here" I say putting down my paddle.

"why"

"well one…we've exceeded our time limit and two I'm hungry" I say. She laughs.

"and the truth comes out. Fine I'm getting kind of hungry too" she says. I smile and step out of the boat and onto the doc. What? We hadn't gone more than like three feet.

"so where too" she asks. I shrug.

"I don't know…we don't have much money left" I state beginning to worry a bit. She frowns.

"oh well…how much do we have left?" She asks leaning over me to see the wad of cash in my hand.

"well we have one, two…..15 dollars left" That wouldn't be enough for a lot of things.

"well I guess we could split a meal" She says.

I shrug.

"sure"

"Austinnnn" she wines. I chuckle.

"what" I say.

"you're taking all the fries" She says. I laugh a bit.

"you had yours" I tell her, eating more of the golden potatoes fried to perfection.

She looks at me with the best puppy dog eyes she can muster.

"pwease" she says quivering her lip slightly. I can't help but start laughing.

"ok ok fine but only cause you're really cute. She blushes slightly at the comment and I smile handing her a small handful. She smiles and takes them, her hands touching mine.

"Ok here's the check" the water says, coming back with the bill. I look at it. Ok luckily we still have….8 dollars left; but still.

I sigh and sign the bottom of the paper and hand it to him.

"thank you" he says winking at Ally as he leaves. My heart goes cold at the action. I see Ally leaning up slightly, looking at his neck. I sigh. Probably looking for that necklace again... She dis the same thing with the guy that rented out our kayak...

I see him giving her a weird look and her cheeks go slightly red as she sits back down. He shakes his he and leaves.

By now it's around five O'clock and we walk down the streets. It's really beautiful here. The trees are a vibrant shade of green and the late sunlight glistens on the blue water.

"so… I know this is probably none of my business but… how did you get away from Dallas?" I ask her cautiously. Her eyes look timid again, like when she saw him at the restaurant.

I probably shouldn't have asked that. I swear I have absolutely no filter.

"Um…" she says swallowing. "I ran" she looks up to me locking our eyes together.

I swallow looking hard into her deep brown eyes. I nod, not sure what to say next.

"oh" I utter. She half smiles and things go back to being silent.

"you know I hate to admit you were right but...the kayaking was really fun." She says looking up at me. I chuckle a bit and smile at her.

Honestly I'm not sure how this happened but we now sit on a grassy area with a lot of plants and trees, her lying back against my chest in between my legs as we watch the sunset; my arms are wrapped around her front. Everything is just perfect.

She rolls over on her side and cuddles into me, closing her eyes. I smile and pet her hair.

"you tired?" I ask softly. She nods against my chest, a smile on her face. I lie down and lay her next to me.

"Goodnight" I say she rolls over on her side, facing her back to me.

ALLY'S POV:

I start to shiver. I peek over my shoulder a bit.

"Austin" I say softly. "I'm cold"

Within seconds I feel him wrap his arms around me, pressing my back up to his chest. I smile a bit, probably blushing like crazy.

"I'll keep you warm" he whispers in my ear. I smile shyly as his warm breath hits my ear.

Slowly my eyes start to shut and I fall asleep.

A/N: :) ah. so apparently my mind works better in the late hours of the night...it's a little past midnight right now and lol that's early compared to when i usually end up getting a burst of inspirationXD So anyway. I hope you liked it! i love the ending personally:) anyway tell me what you thought!
