Found this while organizing my files, might as well post it. Not sure if there's still anyone reading this or not. Anyway, here it is! As usual House m.d is not mine~

Since Cuddy was not 'busy' anymore, Alex seems to be in better mood. In fact, she can't stop talking about her, what they did and what the kids did. All in, they were all happy. Well as happy as he can be, watching his wife and his ex's friendship grows, one is his present and future, the other was his past. Somehow he felt that this was all too good to be true. He felt like, they're living in a bubble, where in any moment, the bubble might burst and he's afraid that it will all blow up all over his face.

They went everywhere together like grocery shopping, park, bowling and to the movies. Alex and Cuddy are great together. It's like they just discovered the real feelings of having a friend. It was not their fault that they just discovered this joy, he knew that Lisa never really did have a friend, as she was busy climbing the ladder to get where she is now. While Alex, well she always ended up being friends with a dickhead or a total bitch, up until the point where she thinks friends are just trouble. Well, that was what she told him. He was happy for them, he truly did because he had that experience, he had that unconditional friendship with Wilson and he was glad that they can experience it too. But then, of all people in the world, they just had to be good friend to each other, it was like a cruel joke to him. While the kids were just ecstatic that they were always together. Once in a while House would give an excuse to not come along but most of the time, they all went together. And he was scared that he would someday get caught up in the moment. What if, unconsciously he tended to Lisa's needs first before his wife? What if, accidently they bicker or flirt? Because that will be so them, it would be so easy to just slipped into the old Cuddy and House and what if he tended to Rachel's needs first before Sara's? Because in truth, they were the first one to enter his life and in a way, they did help shaped him into the man he was now. Lisa, that is what he called her now, one of his way to distance himself, to acknowledge her as his wife's friend and because he didn't know Lisa as well as he knows Cuddy. It was not Lisa who dumped him and broke his heart. Lisa right now was just a stranger that he met through his wife. She was really shocked when he called her Lisa the first time. Alex wanted some drinks and he had asked her whether she also want it. Luckily Lisa was facing him, so he was the only one that noticed her jaw dropped and eyes as big as saucer. Well, that was how they started to call each other by their first names.

They were all in the living room when House left the bedroom to greet them. Alex, Cuddy and the kids just got back from shopping for Christmas.

"Hey, we bought Chinese food" Alex met him halfway as he step into the living room, reaching for him for a kiss.

"Hi, you okay?" he asked concerned, before he glanced Cuddy's way, and managed to caught her attempt at looking somewhere else. Alex reached her hand to wipe off her lipstick from his lips.

"Yeah, I'm just going to lay down for awhile, my feet are killing me"

"Ouh, okay, I'll set the table" House said and watched her retreated to their room.

"Daddy, daddy!" Sara called for him from the couch, eager to show him what she got.

"It's fine, I'll set the table" Cuddy finally said

"No, just give me a second, then I'll set the table" House said unsuccessfully as Cuddy made her way towards the kitchen.

"Yeah?" making his way towards the couch he asked "so what did you crazy kids did today?"

That was the clue for Sara to start her story, with some explanation from Rachel here and there.

When he walked into the dining room, the table was half way done, he made his way towards the kitchen where Cuddy was stacking some of the plates to bring in front.

"I told you I'll do that" he said

Jerking she said "You scared the hell out of me" she scoffed

He just grinned, and reached for the plates from her hand, accidentally brushing her hand.

She gasped, shocked at the contact, nearly releasing all the plates, luckily she didn't.

"I got this" he said and left.

She steadied herself by grabbing the counter behind her and took a deep breath.

By the time she step into the dining room, Alex was making her way towards the table, Rachel and Sara already seated next to each other.

As they were eating suddenly Alex asked House, "Greg, do you remember Carl?"

"Emm..should I?" House asked, confused.

"Ahh..come on, you remember him, the guy bought your favorite piano!"

"Ouh yeah, what about him?" he asked.

"Is he still seeing that woman?"she asked curious.

"You mean Mandy?"

"How can you possibly remember the girlfriend but not the boyfriend?" she asked amazed

"Hello! Have you seen her body? She's a total babe!"

She hit his arm, and shooked her head, feeling disgusted.

"Well..are they still together?"

"I don't know, but Carl would be pretty stupid if he dumb her. I mean with the asset…" he explained and stopped as he see Alex was staring at him.

"How should I know" he stated

"Don't you think they'll be great together, Carl and Lisa?"

"What?!" House cried while Cuddy spurted her drink

"Last I heard, he dumped her because she cheated on him. Lisa reminded me of him actually"

"I..I'm not looking for someone Alex" Cuddy finally said

"Why not? you have been single for a long time Lisa. Besides, we're not getting younger. And come on, you have other needs too, I mean I was a single mother too, and it was not easy at all" she said, raising her eyebrows.

House groaned.

"I mean it Alex, I'm not looking for someone or any blind dates. Besides, it'll just bring more drama"

House actually felt relieved and satisfied hearing Cuddy's answer and finally speak up "Could you ladies please discuss this somewhere else? Preferably while I'm not around"

"Okay, fine. But I can't promise you that this will not come up again" Alex said
