Chapter 10
Goodbye for now

Naruto stood at the top of the Hokage Summit looking down on his home it had been ruined beyond repair and everything he had loved about was now so much rubble. He had looked at where Pazuzu's body had been before it disintegrated. His hood was pulled back, hair waving in the wind, and his eyes no longer red but deep blue his face a sorrowful mask. The majority of the people had been stolen either by Heaven or Hell, and the ones that had survived would be scarred forever. He looked at the damage he had caused and he sighed raising a hand to his face. 'I caused some of this myself… I wonder if I even made a difference.' He wondered. He couldn't make excuses he had to accept the truth as it was, "I helped the destruction of my home in the end… as part of the chaos… as part of War." He said.

The smoky form of the Kyuubi emerged, "Comes with the territory kid… you gotta accept that you can't protect everything specially with the power that comes with this job." He said.

Naruto was silent he knelt down placed a hand on the stone head he stood on, "I just hope that in future I can have the strength to do what I want… and to not fail." He then stood up and pulled his hood back on, and then he jumped half-way down black smoky wings emerged behind him and he slowed down his descent and landed on the ground lightly. "That guy's wings are not bad… didn't know I could do that." He said, "But first I gotta find out where the refugees are going… I need to make sure they're ok." He said.

The Kyuubi crossed his arms, "Good luck with that the tunnels are all sealed off… I'll show you where they are." And he flew forward slightly. Naruto followed the ghostly bijuu and after some navigating found the tunnels and was surprised with how close they were to the hokage heads… but even as he looked he could see giant boulders had sealed off the entrances just like the Kyuubi said. He placed a hand on one of the rocks.

Eventually the boy stepped back, "Know where it goes?" He asked.

The bijuu nodded "Yeah but why do you want to know?" He asked.

Naruto sighed, "Haa… I want to talk to the survivors… and I want to see who made it and who didn't." the Nephilim acknowledged.

The Kyuubi was silent, "You really are a sap aren't you? Fine follow me." And he flew away with Naruto right at his heels.

-One of Orochimaru's Hidden Facilities-

A girl with green eyes and messy red hair ran down a hall, cracked glasses and a bleeding arm that waved about uselessly. This was Karin, one of the last members of the Uzumaki clan not that she knew that nor did the boy known as Naruto Uzumaki. The only thing she knew was if she didn't keep running she would die to that monster that tore through the staff. She turned down a hall and stumbled, crying out she fell to the ground hard. Her glasses fell off broken and useless. She grunted as she pushed herself up with her one good arm tears falling down her face, 'I don't want to die…' she had been repeating that line in her head over and over. She was terrified, never before had she felt so powerless… so insignificant before. She stood up and could feel the ground rumble as that hideous monster drew closer.

The voice echoed through the empty hall like a ghost, "Come now my dear it won't take long to absorb you… when I do you'll be part of a greater being. One who could become a god of this cursed world." It hissed.

She looked up and saw the sign despite her poor vision, 'Just… a bit further… a bit more… and the two psycho's can kill each other!' she kept going but limping slightly as she ran her knee bleeding from a rip that she sustained from the fall.

Orochimaru chuckled to himself as he followed the bloody trail mouths emerging from his feet to lick up the blood. The power of the Uzumaki was already filling him with this little amount. He almost wondered why he didn't choose the blonde haired boy over Sasuke. Then he remembered, 'That boy is nothing more than dead weight… he's probably dead already… either way once I have enough power I will make my move… but I need her… her blood will make me even stronger still.' He turned down the hall and saw the blood with pieces of skin he bent down and licked up the small puddle. He swallowed the taste was divine, fear, desperation and the taste of youth all the perfect ingredients for the food known as humanity.

Orochimaru didn't realize but the corruption of the demon body was affecting more than just his body. It was affecting his mind as well, he began to think like a demon. He cared less about immortality and more on feasting on human corpses. The blood, the flesh and the souls were becoming intoxicating to him. He was losing the part of him that desired to live forever in turn for becoming a all consuming beast. However whether or not he would realize this is impossible to tell, for even though he had the body of a demon his soul is human. And human beings are a conflicted race.

Karin panted as she looked at the door that was sealed shut. She reached up with her hand, and turned the lock quickly. She barely finished the first lock when the door bulged as something slammed into it creating a dent. She stepped back and another dent was added on. She was about to head to a abandoned cell when she felt her useless arm throb. She looked at it and when she did she saw the trail of blood. 'FUCK! No wonder that bastards been following me!' she looked around and saw some shredded clothes probably from one of the infected prisoners. She grabbed it and tied it around her arm to stop the bleeding, she then limped away to the open cell and using it she began treat her wounds even as the door was smashed open. It flew off it's hinges and slammed into the opposite wall embedding itself in it.

The floor shook as the occupant stomped breathing heavily, part of his skin light brown his eyes yellow with black sclera darting around. "Alright whose ready to die?" said a maniacal voice. This was Juugo the source of Orochimaru's infamous Cursed Seals. His blood was the source of the treacherous snakes Cursed Seal Warriors, as a result he was a highly guarded secret, few knew about his existence and those that found out had very short lives. Juugo's ability gave him the most unique sense of dual personalities, one side was kind, gentle and against violence, the other was the avatar of destruction and bloodlust. Those that was in even the sightline of this other self would end up dead if they weren't strong enough to resist him and few were strong indeed. However there was only one person who he respected and feared, Kimimaro who was one of the few strong enough to subdue Juugo. Juugo's Bloodthirsty side feared Kimimaro while his kindly side respected him.

Orochimaru walked down the hall when he stopped he could see a figure in the hall. One that made his eye's narrow with concern. 'She released Juugo? This… could be trouble.' The white snake knew that Juugo was immensely powerful, in fact he was one of the few humans that could probably damage him. But he smirked, 'If I absorbed him his power would be a great boon… indeed it would be then that I'd be call truly invincible.' He walked forward, and held up a clawed hand to scrape the wall.

Juugo turned, and saw the white skinned monster walking toward him, he raised one eyebrow narrowing the other eye. "What's this? You don't look like one of the cursed seal prisoners…" he growled, the monster didn't say anything. Juugo held up a closed fist and the skin morphed bulbous like tumor's appearing and then forming into nozzles from them flames of chakra began to erupt forth, "I think I'll have fun pummeling you into dust!" And the flames flared and he flew forward propelled by his arm and he spun and punched the creatures face.

The monster opened it's mouth and closed on the hand. But it barely had time to start crunching when the flames lit up again and it had to open it's mouth to avoid burning it to a crisp. However no sooner had it opened its mouth when another fist hit it's chin. The rocket hand pulled out and the other fist slammed in harder with a piledriver spike!

Juugo smirked as the monster howled stepping back. He then held up his rocket arm which was already transforming into a cannon and a ball of chakra formed around it. "Time to die you scaley piece of shit! You ain't half as strong as Kimimaro!" he shouted and fired the mass of chakra at the monster. The chakra ball slammed into the monster and exploded blue energy creating a powerful shockwave that made Juugo slide back a bit. The sound of flesh and bones squelching and cracking filled the air.

Juugo lowered his arm which turned back to normal, it was then a familiar voice spoke, "Juugo? Is that you?" the cursed boy's eyes widened.

He knew that voice, "Kimimaro?" he asked.

From the smoke staggered out Kimimaro, white haired, red rimmed eyes, and slightly emaciated. Juugo's body stepped back and the cursed skin faded back to it's usual pallor. "Juugo." Kimimaro said, "Thank you… you saved me!" he said.

Juugo blinked, his psychotic personality receded his kindly one emerging, "Saved you?" He asked.

The bone user staggered forward and Juugo rushed forward to grab him, he caught him and held him up. "What happened?" he asked.

Kimimaro sighed, "I was unconscious when I was awoken Lord Orochimaru had been reported missing but before we could search for him that beast appeared and devoured the Sound four, I managed to escape but it caught me a few hours ago, you managed to get me out before it fully… digested me." Juugo's eyes widened.

He couldn't believe Kimimaro, the only person to defeat had been pushed back by that inhuman monster. "You lost to that?" he asked

The white haired young man nodded, "It got me when I was… weak and it swallowed me it was a horrible sensation being inside it's body." He said.

Juugo smiled, "Don't worry my friend he won't be doing that anytime soon… After all no human could survive that." He said.

It was then that a smirk crossed Kimimaro's lips and he reached up with his arms and pulled Juugo into a bear hug! Juugo cried out but barely had time to do anything as Kimimaro's body began to change the skin turn pale white and scaly, the arms bulging and the teeth appearing on parts of his skin, "you're absolutely right no human could survive that… unfortunately, I'm not human anymore! HA HA HA HA HA!" the cold voice of Orochimaru cackled.

Juugo's fury boiled and his psychotic personality began to emerge when he felt his body be engulfed and felt the scales dig into his flesh rotating as they did turning his skin into putty within seconds! "DAMN YOU!" Juugo shouted, "How dare you trick me I'll blast you to hell if it's the last thing I-gagh!" a scale stabbed at his throat puncturing all the way to the bone and he gurgled as he tried to speak. He willed his body to move to transform but the scales were digging away at him too quickly for his body to counter. The sheer strength of this reborn Orochimaru was also unbelievable he could feel his bones groaning then snapping like dry twigs. His spine groaned trying to resist the mass that was squeezing at him from all sides compressing him forcefully into a ball. Juugo, in his psychotic side felt something his normal side usually felt… fear. He couldn't transform, he couldn't move, he couldn't even use chakra as it was sucked away by this beast!

He was utterly helpless as the conclusion of the situation slowly and painfully sunk in. He would die… being food for this inhuman creature. There was nothing he could do, his body was reduced down to muscle and bone the only thing that hadn't was his head… and he knew this was on purpose. To make Juugo feel despair, fear and loneliness, the boy's anger was released and his body no longer in the cursed state. He mentally sighed, 'I'll die with you Kimimaro… maybe in another life we can be together again…' and with that Juugo was no more.

Orochimaru heard the final bone snap, and he began to morph back into his normal body. Juugo was already being melted down, it took him 10 minutes of steady concentration to finally defeat the cursed user but he could already feel the power flowing into him. He was quite surprised he didn't think that Juugo would be so powerful. 'Kimimaro achieved quite a feat.' He now realized, 'but then again that had been when he was healthy.' He turned and sniffed the air. 'Trying to sneak away while I was eating… clever but pointless your blood is in me as is it's scent there's no escape from me now.' He morphed losing his size and converting his body to speed as he resumed his pursuit.

Karin panted as she ran out the door into the rocky shore, she eventually had to stop to recuperate for a second. After she had caught her breath she turned to the door and pulled out several paper bombs. She threw them above the door sticking about 5 of them to the rock walls when each one was set, she stepped back and ignited the chakra she placed in them. They exploded collapsing the rock onto the entrance. Dust rose up as the rocks smashed down then when it cleared she saw the entrance was completely caved in. Satisfied she walked away and couldn't help but throw a smug "I'd like to see that thing get out of that!" she turned to the vast ocean before her, "So what next?" She asked the smug smirk fading.

She was about to start her debate of where to go when a slam shook the very earth. She turned to see the rocks shuddering slightly dust and pebbles falling from them. 'Yeah you can't get out, only person who probably could would be Juugo!' she mentally crowed she was about to turn back when the ground shook even harder and she heard rocks shifting. She glanced at the rocks, they seemed unharmed but something was telling her to run. She stood there unsure then she felt the ground shake and the rocks visibly push out then retract back in. She didn't bother debating and began to run. A timely decision as the rocks were blasted apart shooting stone shrapnel everywhere.

Orochimaru walked out his left arm containing a pile driver spike that protruded out the elbow. His white skin shifted back to normal, "His power is incredible… now for the Uzumaki." He hissed and saw her running across the water, though he saw her feet sinking in quite a bit. She was starting to run low on chakra. He walked forward shrinking his body down for speed and began to run each step causing water to splash up and around him.

Karin kept running even as her body demanded her to stop, but she couldn't cause if she stopped she died, nothing could stop that. But perhaps her body knew that she wouldn't even make it anyways perhaps it realized that it was going to die, and was trying to make her submit to make the death less painful. She looked behind her and saw that the monster was nearly at her heels, it's body low a smirk on it's cruel face. She turned forward even as tears began to fall down her cheeks. White arms extended forward the hands turning into snake heads that hissed at her. She stopped running and stood there her body barely held up with what little chakra she had.

The beast chuckled as it slowed down and walked up to her, "You put me through quite an ordeal… but worry not I'll make this quick… but painful." It's arms surrounded her and the snakes hissed menacingly. Karin swallowed as the tears fell down her face. She could see her life flashing before her eyes, so brief, so crazy… so alone. She then remembered, a boy defeating a giant bear that had been chasing her causing her glasses to fall off. Karin putting her glasses on to see that face, so handsome, so cool, she gave a bitter smile at that. 'I wish… I could've seen him one last time…' she thought somberly then she was engulfed.

Even as Orochimaru broke down Karin's body he laughed aloud, "With this Immortality is mine! No force on this world can stop me!" He crowed triumphant and confident. He finally stopped after several minutes of laughing. He put his hand on his chin wondering what to do next. He had absorbed all of his top men and even his entire village… however it seemed quite pointless to try and dominate the world… and besides he had an idea for his… victims. "Let us see then if I can have my servants again… but completely under my control." He wondered and began to move for his village to begin his testings.

-In Hell-

Lilith walked out of a fiery hole with Sakura at her side. They were in a dungeon like space where thousands of humans were imprisoned in cages. All of the cage beasts were gone, having removed all the catches they had. Samael was there, along with the insect-like Beezlebub, and the ever cunning Mephistopheles. "So I take it you all saw the show then?" Lilith asked casually.

Samael nodded, rubbing his bone goatee "The boy's strength is quite great… our troops will have to work hard in order to not get surpassed by him." He said. "However I doubt they could be able to not get surpassed by War himself… that Nephilim had the ability to challenge both Heavens and Hell's army… And to this day I question why you made the Nephilim, last I checked you were the only one who knew how to do so." He said his eyes narrowing at that.

Lilith shrugged, "It seems the Council found my secrets, but even so he's not a true Nephilim there's plenty of human inside of him. If he was a True Nephilim he'd look quite different." She said.

But Samael wasn't falling for it, "War looked quite human if you didn't know his true nature… so unless you start giving details I might hold you on account of treachery… pray that I don't." He said, "Otherwise the prince will have a word with you." He warned and he turned walking away, he paused to look at Beezlebub, "Find anybody that could have potential, use whatever means you see fit to bring out the demon inside as for the rest…" he looked at the humans that quivered at his gaze, "I think our men are running low on rations aren't they?" He asked several of the villagers cried out and clung to each other pitifully.

The Lord of Flies chuckled, "Right away my lord." And he bowed low as Samael walked away.

But Lilith wasn't paying attention, she was rubbing her own chin in concern, 'My research in creating the Nephilim is a secret that was ripped from my mind centuries ago… The council used it to recreate War but even so he isn't a true Nephilim… I already tried to retake my knowledge once only to fail… however if they are going to replace the other's I might have a chance to replace my knowledge.' She realized, she looked for Sakura only to see the young demoness crouching before a human who reached at her desperately

Sakura recognized the human… how couldn't she, after all it was her father. He stared at her with tear stained eyes. She felt her mouth twitch, she didn't know what to think or do, part of her wanted to comfort her father and part of her wanted to scorn him. She felt the hot hand on her shoulder and she turned to see Lilith's yellow eyes looking at her curiously. "Well now what do we have here?" She asked.

Sakura jumped as she turned to Lilith, "Oh uh… well it's…" She looked back at her father who stared at her his eyes shocked and disbelieving, "He's… my father." She said.

The man's eyes widened, "S-Sakura? T-Then my eyes hadn't deceived but… my daughter what has happened to you?" He asked his voice quivering.

The former human sighed, "Mmmm I don't know what you'll say if I tell you…" She said using her finger to push her head to the side. "Honestly I don't know what I want to do with you either, I don't know whether I should help you or just leave you here." She said. "But I guess I can start with that I did it to be with the one I love so much…" her voice became wistful as she spoke. "See I thought I had been in love with someone but I realized, quite rudely, that my love was nothing more than just an empty lust… the one who I truly loved I had scorned… yet he never stopped trying to win my heart." She said her voice wistful.

Her father blinked in confusion, "Trying to win your heart? Sasuke?" He asked.

Sakura's normal hand shot forward grabbing his collar and pulling him to her causing his forehead to bang on the cage. "No not that little shit! That fucking princess who thinks he's too good for anybody and that everybody needs to bow down and kiss his fucking ass. Well not me father… I'd rather stick a red hot poker up his ass and see if he's still as smug as ever!" she snapped, then she released her father. "But I'm getting off topic, the one man I truly love and who loves me in return is Naruto… Naruto Uzumaki, so gentle and kind… and dangerous so deliciously dangerous," She licked her lips revealing her pointed teeth briefly. "Now that's a man." She said proudly.

Her father frowned, "Sakura the boy is dangerous and you shouldn't associate with-" Sakura's hand once again shot out this time the demonic hand gripping him.

Sakura glared at her father even as he clawed at her hand his face quickly turning pale. "I wasn't asking for your opinion dad even if I was asking it doesn't change anything! So how about you shut up and just listen-" There a sick squelching sound as her hand squeezed hard enough to pop her father's head from his neck. She was still for a second even as his body fell spurting blood onto her hand and floor. She looked down at her father's head which twitched and gagged. "AH!" she cried out and grabbed the head, "Daddy!?" She cried but the head could only gag, and choke. "Nonononononono…. Please don't die!" She said. Lilith sighed then as she knelt down to fix this calamity.

-Human Pen-

Kurenai sat with several students who were huddling close to her. She rubbed a sobbing boy's head gently, 'Can't believe we were so horribly outmatched… I… was horribly outmatched. I could've done more… I should've been stronger…' it was then that the ground shook. She looked to see a large blue skinned demon with giant metal stitches running across it's waist walking to the door. It grabbed a pair of key's, unlocked the door and shoved it roughly to the side. It then walked in even as the people shrieked and moved away. The demon was huge not as large as a Trauma but stood a good eight feet tall.

The demon smirked, "let's see rations… who here would make a good meal I wonder… maybe…" it turned it's head around then it saw Kurenai and the children. "Ahhhh women and children… MY favorite!" it snarled it's lips already wet with saliva. Kurenai stood her hand reaching for a Kunai she still had and drawing it. "Haw haw! You!? Want to fight me? A weak little bitch like yourself won't even be a warm up!" but the Jounin illusionist just narrowed her eyes. She placed the kunai in her mouth and quickly went through a series of hand signs. The demon laughed, "What's that? Your final prayer?! HA! No bother Heaven can't reach you here!" And the demon lunged forward, not noticing that the corner of his view were bending slightly. He closed his hands on her and held her up; he could smell the scent of her flesh, perfumed and ripe. She grabbed the kunai and stabbed his throat; he just chuckled as the blade sunk into his muscular neck. "Nice try bitch you're gonna have to really work it to damage me!" He said, and he bit down on her leg.

As the demon ate though the other demons turned and watched with interest. As he chewed he noticed something about the flavor, it wasn't as sweet or sinewy as he thought, in fact it tasted slightly rotten. 'What the hell is…' then suddenly he felt a thick blade sink deep into where his neck was stabbed and it began to drag across the neck and he felt his skin split open. 'What is-!?' then his entire neck split, and his head jerked forward held by nothing but his bone's and organs. He tried to speak but could only gurgle as his view suddenly changed, standing in front of his face was the woman who was smirking in her hand were 4 slips of paper and they were smoking she threw them at his neck and did a back flip jump, he tried to snatch her when the paper exploded and his head was vaporized by the sheer force and intensity of the explosions. His body stood there gurgling from where his head was and then it fell back landing on the ground and a loud thump. It faded into ash, but even as it did the other demons stepped forth.

One cracked his neck as he slammed his fist into an open hand, "Oh this one's got fight…" he said.

Kurenai held up the demon wind shuriken she had summoned, "I'll fight to my last breath you monsters!" she said, "You won't lay a hand on me or the children as long as I live!" The demons laughed as one approached her.

However someone had heard her voice and knew who she was. Kiba stepped forward pushing past the large demons and standing in front of her. She looked at him her gaze hostile then turning to shock. "K-Kiba!? What happened to you?" The boy was changed. His black hair extended down to the middle of his back, spiked and unruly. His usual vest and armored undershirt gone revealing his bare chest black fur lining his arms, the top of his hand and below his chest as well his skin was dark red with black symbols running up and down it, his eyes were slitted with yellow pupils, along with a black sclera. His feet were exposed revealing claws on the end of them there were also claws on his hands.

Kiba looked down, "I'm sorry… sensei I… swore allegiance to a demon to save my sister." He said, "If I don't she may never wake up again or she might die." He said.

It was then a demon walked forward this demon was smaller but dressed in an immaculate suit, with a cane and hat to boot. "What're you doing? Do you know this human?" It asked, the demon spoke in a cool but powerful voice, Kiba nodded, the demon turned it's gaze on Kurenai and as she looked at it she could feel a calculating but predatory gaze staring her down. "Let me introduce myself I am Mephistopheles, Kiba's current master and I-" but he was stopped as a demon stepped forward.

The demon glared at the Mephistopheles, "Get the fuck out of my way dealer, I'm going to-" but it stopped as the cane shot forward and stabbed it's throat. The skin stretched demon was scowling.

Mephistopheles turned to the demon as it gagged gripping it's throat, "I believe you forgot who you're talking to." Like a switch his voice went from cool and powerful to harsh and poisonous. He vanished reappearing on the demon's shoulder, "I don't need to use my full power to deal with utter moron's like yourself!" And he raised a hand and stabbed it into the demons skull, "And all of you!" the demon dealer turned to face the rest, "Remember this always I can crush you all like cockroaches, and I'll stomp on your bodies as many times as it takes to kill you so… back. The. Fuck. Off. Or die… your choice!" he said. He pulled his hand out of the gagging and twitching demon and teleported down to Kiba. "Now then… where were we, ah yes." The demon fell and the rest backed off wisely. "I am Mephistopheles I am currently the master of Kiba till his sister recovers from her near fatal injury." Said the demon, "And you are?" he asked.

Kurenai internally winced as she gazed at the demon with skin stretched so tight it looked like fleshy skeleton. "Kurenai I'm his team leader and teacher, I heard what happened to his sister… when she disappeared we didn't know what happened to her… now I do." She said.

The Dealer Demon smirked, "And what will you do now that you know? Keep in mind that if I die or anybody should attack me his sister could be in mortal danger not only is she still recovering but she's under the blessing of my protection which as you just saw is quite substantial." Kurenai's eyes flicked to Kiba's hand which were curled into fists black red blood dripping from them. She gazed at Mephistopheles for a long time then turned and went to the children folding up the demon wind shuriken and hushing them. "I see… Well it doesn't matter after that little display it's the river for you. I'm sure that's what your student would want too right?" He asked Kiba who nodded silently. "Good, you two!" he pointed to 2 demons, "Take her to the river for processing." Ordered Mephistopheles.

Kiba lowered his head again, he turned as the demons approached Kurenai grabbing her hands to stop her from making hand signs, 'Sorry sensei… but this is the only way you have a chance at surviving…' he walked with his master even as Kurenai began to shout.

She struggled but couldn't move as the demons tightened their grip on her arms and legs. "Let me go! Let me go! Damn you! Kiba!" but even as she looked Kiba was walking away, "Kiba! Dammit! DAMMIT!" she shouted as she was carried away leaving the children at the mercy of the other demons.

-Heaven-

Raphael looked at Sariels body, "You are a serious mess." He said as he drunk from a goblet as usual he rooked of booze. "From what I heard as usual you let your ego get to your head and you let that cause you to lose." She spat at him with contempt, he just waved a hand and the spit vanished, "Now then we'll need to give you quite a bit of cybernetics… I'll let you know you'll be the first to have such extensive cybernetic reconstruction." He said.

She glared, "Why can I just let my limbs grow back?" she asked.

The head of the medical science sighed, "That would take over 100 years and I don't think you'd want to wait that long to get back into action. So either that or cybernetics what do you want?" he asked.

It wasn't something she debated on, "Of course I want to get back to it! I wanna kill that human piece of-" but Raphael pressed a cloth to her mouth and she was muffled then asleep within seconds.

He sighed and gave another long drink, he lowered the goblet smacking his lips, "So vulgar… alright let's get started," and angels walked in with metallic limbs in hand. The goblet vanished as he pulled out a torch. "This'll take a while." He muttered and began his work.

-The training fields-

Gabriel walked around Hinata who stood her head held low. "Unbelievable utterly ignoring my orders and risking more mental damage!" snapped the archangel "And while I am quite grateful that you saved a comrade it was too risky to go out there in your condition!" It had gone on like this for a full 5 minutes. Finally the angel stopped, "You do not understand how important it is for you to recover who you were." Hinata looked up at that.

She was stiff, "what if I don't want to be that person?" She asked.

Gabriel gave her a dark look, "Then you are nothing more than a puppet… and puppets are worthless." The voice was icy, cruel and filled with contempt, utterly devoid of warmth or kindness. The words also carried a brutal force that made Hinata step back visibly. "I will not train a mere puppet no one will… if you wish to be a puppet then begone from my sight." Gabriel said and it turned walking away.

Hinata just did not understand what could be so important about her past? But she wanted to become stronger! 'Why?' a voice suddenly asked, 'why do I want to be stronger?' she asked herself. "Because I don't want to see people die…" She said.

The green skinned angel paused then turned to Hinata, "Why?" it asked.

The former human thought about it, and an image appeared, of a sun and a plain, a sunny place, she didn't understand but looking at it made her calm and it filled her with a strange warmth, that felt very familiar. "Because… I want to protect that sun… the sunny place… I can't remember why." It was then that she realized 'This is the desire that made me become an angel… but why was it so important to me? I… I must remember.' She looked up at Gabriel, "What must I do to recover my memories?" She asked.

The green angel sighed, "For one we must explore that village again but not now… for now I'll begin your training… but remember you are fighting for what you held dear… for what turned you into an angel." Then the archangel turned and flew off. Hinata watched Gabriel go, but she trembled slightly… she felt an emotion well up inside of her one she didn't like. Fear… she was scared of finding out who she was and what it meant. But she had to find out or she would be nothing more than a doll.

-Heaven, the Paradiso Room-

Asuma sat with Choji and Ino at a table the Akimichi eating with great gusto while Ino just stared at her plate her eyes empty of all emotion as was her body. Her mentor was worried, ever since she had been picked up by the angels and brought to this room she hadn't eaten, moved or even talked he had to move her throughout the room. 'Though if I'm honest… to call this a room is laughable.' He thought as he turned his gaze around. The so called 'room' was enormous about the size of a small village it had a sky, grass, and small tents here and there, and of course the giant tables where people were now eating and talking. He could see their faces devoid of worry as they spoke with each other… as if being abducted by their home was merely a bad dream. 'But it wasn't a dream… it was real! We were stolen from our home invaded by these sweet faced monsters who now pretend to be our friend.' However he couldn't deny that the accommodations and food weren't bad they were quite good and the angels that were serving them seemed very calm, serene and good natured… but his gut told him that there was another reason why they were being kept here. His mind wandered back to when he had been brought here.

-Hours earlier-

Asuma was standing in a room surrounded by thousands of his people, who were huddled with each other some sobbing, other's clinging to each other and some trying to calm people even as they shook with fear. To describe the room was simply… white light in all directions. There didn't seem to be any walls or ceiling or floor yet they were clearly standing on one. He looked around to see if he could find any comrades, 'I hope… that my team wasn't captured.' He prayed, he looked around again.

He was about to crouch down to think on what to do, when a voice made him freeze, "Asuma-sensei!" He stood up again and he paled as he saw Choji pushing his way through to him. Led by the chubby boy was Ino who seemed… strangely pale in comparison to her usual self.

Asuma stood up again and gently pushed his way to his students, "Oh Choji… Ino, I had hoped you hadn't been captured." He said, as he got close to his team, "What happened to Ino?" he asked. Then he noticed Choji's appearance, the boy was skinny not his usual chubby self which could only mean… "Choji you ate the Akimichi pills? But… you haven't suffered the side effects?" he asked

The boy rubbed his brown hair, "I did but… someone, an angel I think, stabilized me. Funny thing he smelled like alcohol." He said.

Asuma blinked, "Angels drink alcohol?" His tone was clearly surprised.

It was then that the room suddenly dimmed and the people began to panic when a door opened, shining white the people turned. Some, most likely ninja's, stood grabbing their kunai's while other's completed hand signs. From it a figure dressed in robes seemingly of light stepped forth. The figure was an angel with six wings palms held out it's face radiating warmth and kindness, "People of this planet we the angels of heaven welcome you…" The angel's voice was melodic and calm most of the people eased into it's tone, "We took you from your homes not to oppress you but to save you from the threat of demons. Sadly we weren't able to take you all in time… but for those that we were able to save we offer you a small piece of paradise." And the angel stepped back through the door, "Come." It's voice said.

At first the people hesistated then slowly they began to walk toward the door Asuma and Choji were pushed forward, eventually moving forward of their own volition. Then as they passed through the door a voice in their minds said, 'Welcome to the Paradiso room, stay here in utter paradise… forever…' that last note got them nervous. However their nervousness was lessened slightly as they saw the room.

-Present time-

So Asuma had spent that time finding a tent to sleep in, and had gotten to the table for his students to eat. In truth he wanted Ino to eat as she was very thin, pale, and weak, Choji he knew would eat to not think about his current situation, 'Not that I don't blame him.' He admitted. It was then that a golden gate opened and all the people turned to it. From the gate 3 beings stepped forth, they were massive at least 6-7 feet tall and as broad as trees, they also wore heavy armor. The one in the middle didn't have a helmet revealing his bald, single tattooed head with shining white eyes.

The helmetless angel looked around then spoke his voice deep and commanding, "Greetings humans… I am Nathaniel a general of Heaven's armies. As you are aware Hell has attacked your home and driven you from it. We the angels of heaven have been fighting them since the beginning of time… but our forces dwindle while theirs swell… so we ask for those wanting to strike the heart of the enemy to join us." At the word 'Join us' Ino raised her head, the action was so sudden that Choji and Asuma jumped in surprise. "We do not demand your cooperation if you were to join us in the fight it'll be entirely of your own free will no one else's. But if you do you can avenge your lost home and kin." The angel said.

Ino stood up and ran to the angel Asuma got up and nudged Choji, who was about to eat a chicken leg, and the two ran after Ino. "INO!" He shouted, but she didn't stop till she approached the angel and stared up at it.

The angel looked down at her, "You wish to volunteer?" it asked, she nodded.

Asuma came up to Ino and grabbed her shoulders, "I'm sorry she's not feeling well so I-" but he stopped when she pushed away from him and moved next to the angel. "Ino what're you-" he began, then paused as he saw tears flowing down her face.

She raised her arm and rubbed them out but they still flowed, "I… I saw…" she began her voice cracking, "I saw my parents… murdered… by those beasts! I watched as they tore my mother to pieces…" she gasped. The entire room was silent, "I… I want… I want revenge for them… for them and all the other's that were torn apart by those damnable demons! I want them to suffer like I did! I want them to see me coming and for their hearts to fill with utter terror when they see me. I wish to be the blade that fights against them and all that they stand for!" She said her voice high with passion. Asuma rubbed the back of his head, 'I've said she could use some backbone but this… this isn't what I meant.' He looked at her eyes and saw a fire he recognized… she was blinded by vengeance but… the will of fire was burning within fueling her actions. He sighed, and looked at Choji who looked at him worriedly he could teel what Asuma was thinking.

The chubby boy stepped forward, "I wish to volunteer as well." He said.

Asuma hated doing this but if he didn't then his students would witness the horrors of war yet again and this time he would guide them through it. "I volunteer, as well." He said, the angel smiled, 'Hopefully I can find a way out of this debacle… for me and those who stay behind… whatever it takes we will go home!' he swore even as a few others stepped up to volunteer.

-The Konoha Survivors-

The survivors of the siege of Konoha, as it would later be known as the Arms Find all over, were few, roughly 700 survivors most civilians and any shinobi survivors were the remnants, as for the members Konoha's strongest family's, the Akimichi's were gone, so were the Yamanaka's, and there were only 2 members of the Aburame family left. The Hyuuga family was survived only by Neji and his squad, the rest were either dead or taken. As for the Nara family only Shikamaru had remained, he had disappeared amongst the trees were he cried for all that he had lost, his family, his team, his home, and his friends that had been taken by heaven and hell. Tsunade was out of commission in a healing trance with 6 ninja's, as a result Shizune was in charge making sure that they had food, clothes, and tents for the night.

Many of the elite Jounin were gone and those that survived were changed forever. The famous Blue Beast Maito Guy was crippled, one of his legs gone and the other a mangled mess. Kakashi himself had bandages all around his hips and torso his body was shaking tired, sore and in a state of shock at the brutality of his enemies. Ibiki Morino had survived but with one less arm and a good chunk of his torso missing, and Aoba Yamashiro had bandages covering half his face and his left hand was heavily bandaged blood leaking through the bandages and dripping on the ground.

Shizune rubbed her sweating forehead, she had been in this position before but not like this. She had to account for food, bedding, clothing, water, and medical it was a daunting task. But she knew the one taking it hardest was her lady, Tsunade. The hokage was injured badly and her wounds would never fully heal and her power would be far less than normal. There was a slight light to this whole debacle, the council had been extinguished utterly and while this was quite a grim light it was one that they welcomed. No longer would Tsunade have to answer to them if she wanted to make a decision that could affect the entirety of survivors of Konoha.

Shizune grimaced at that thought then the ground rumbled once and the sound of tree's crashing and birds squawking filled the air. "Enemy attack! Jounin's to the front, Chunin's protect the civilians." All that could move did swarming to protect their people.

Then a voice shouted, "Wait! I mean you no harm!" Kakashi stood up, he staggered to Shizune.

He put a hand on her shoulder, "Call them off." He said she looked at him but that steel hard gaze was firm.

She hesitated, "Lower your weapons." She said.

From the tree's out came Naruto his hood pulled down revealing his long hair, which was slightly red with blood. He walked forward but even as he did the shinobi fell back afraid. He didn't seem to mind as he walked forward looking around with bright glowing blue eyes of his. "I see… so quite a few escaped… better than none." He said.

Kakashi walked up to his former pupil, "Naruto what's happened to you?" He asked.

The boy turned his gaze to his previous teacher, "Too much to explain fully. The short version is that I now possess the body to be able to take on Heaven and Hell… but I…" he paused then and considered his next words carefully. "I can't speak out here I need to speak with the current Hokage." He said, "I know there was a replacement for the old man." He confirmed.

Shizune was weary but this had been the boy that had saved her life when she had been hit with a deadly poison. After some silence she relented, "Very well, I am Shizune you saved my life… and it's because of this that I'll take you to see her." Naruto's eyes widened briefly then became unreadable as he nodded. She led him to where Tsunade was.

Tsunade was sitting up her eyes reading a paper on a board silently. She heard the curtain flutter and looked to see Shizune with a figure beside her, the figure was tall and large almost as tall as Shizune herself and his body bristling with power. She saw the blue eyes and blonde hair and instantly knew who he was. The boy didn't waste time speaking his mind. "So you're the new Hokage? I thought they had gotten another old man… till your friend mentioned that you were a she." He said.

Tsunade gave a grim smile, "And you must be Naruto… you're different than what Jiraiya told me originally." She said.

The boy held up his massive left hand, "Yeah… it had to happen unfortunately…" He said.

But the two of them knew that wasn't why he was here, "So why are you here now?" She asked.

He lowered his hand and looked down, "I came to say that I'll be gone for a while…" he said his voice heavy.

She narrowed her eyes, "Why should that matter?" She asked.

He inhaled deeply, "Because I will come back… no matter how long it takes I'll be back… and when I do I'll be even stronger than I ever was." He said.

Tsunade raised an eyebrow, "Stronger? From what I see you survived that hellish battlefield without a scratch and you think you're weak?" She asked.

He nodded, "I only made it because of my…" he paused his mouth working to say the word but he couldn't, "The power I used to escape from their cannot be my fighting force, I need to be able to fight without resorting to that power. If I cannot do that then I cannot end this war as a Horseman." He said.

The blonde woman sat up straighter at this, "Horseman… can you tell me about that? I heard a demon say that word." She asked.

The boy sighed when suddenly from the enlarged hand a smokey figure emerged, "I can do that." Said the Kyuubi as he emerged, Shizune and Tsunade stiffened. "Don't bother I'm not here to cause trouble and you wouldn't be able to hurt me otherwise only the kid and the council can do that. Considering the urgency of everything I'll get right to it." He cleared his throat but Shizune and Tsunade didn't relax. "The Horseman are a group of beings called Nephilim that serve the Charred Council who were tasked with keeping balance within the universe. The Horsemen were their enforcers and agents, there were four of them War, Death, Strife and Fury… the boy is now War and his task is to find the other 3 beings who resonate with the soul of Death, Strife and Fury the most. Naruto matches War almost identically, he's hot-headed, brash, honorable, honest, and loyal to a fault. Finding the other 3 will be hard." The kyuubi explained. "Anyway like the kid said he's nowhere near strong enough to deal with Heaven and Hell especially not their generals and commanders. They'll tear him apart like Uriel did and if he's dead you're all doomed." The kyuubi said heavily.

Naruto nodded, "So I have to go train to become stronger… I don't know how long it'll take but know that I will return one day I will… and when I do I should have the strength to set everything right." He said, "Until then I brought you some weapons to help fight the angels and demons the weaker ones at least." He said, he jerked his head to follow and walked out of the tent. Standing at the flap was Kakashi who had heard everything he walked beside the boy Shizune behind them.

There was silence as they walked "Naruto… I'm sorry." He said.

The boy blinked, "For what?" he asked not looking at the white haired man.

Kakashi looked at him sadly, "For not being a better teacher… for prioritizing Sasuke over you." He said his voice heavy with guilt.

Naruto shrugged, "Back then I didn't understand why you helped him over me but… I get it kinda now. You wanted to help get rid of the burden on his shoulder… even if it was about revenge. So I get it… before I just wanted to get stronger so he'd recognize me as a ninja but now…" the metal cracked as he clenched his hands into fists. "Now I want to be stronger to protect my people, even if they don't want my help." He said.

Kakashi was silent the boy had reached a new level of maturity he hadn't expected in such a short amount of time, 'It's probably because he chose this willingly and knowing the great cost of it.' Eventually they came to a clearing where a small crater was, just lining outside the crater were strange halberds with a strange nozzle on the end where the blade protruded from. Naruto gathered them up and walked back to the camp.

He turned to Shizune, "You might want to get everyone around here to see this." He said, she nodded and got everybody who could move gathered around. When they did Naruto lowered the majority holding up one, "This is a weapon of the angels it uses the halberd design but that's not what's important what's important is this!" he held the weapon horizontally his thumb hovering over a button he pointed it at a tree and pressed the button. With a crackling sound and then a slight 'Choof' a blast of white light shot out bursting the tree and causing it to fall down.

The people gasped and muttered, Naruto turned back to them the nozzle smoking. "This is called a gun… it's a weapon that can deal immense damage at long range but it has a kick to it so hold it steady. If you can master this I can assure you that survival will be more than possible it'll be a guarantee… but this weapon is only truly affected on the weaker angels and demons anything stronger and you'll need a full squad firing these things to take it down and even then running away would be better." He held one out to a ninja a chuunin with brown spiked hair. He looked at it nervously then grabbed it, he had to grab it with both hands as the weight nearly pulled him down.

He recovered though and held it up, he hefted it, swung it a few times, then he aimed it at the fallen tree and he looked then finding the button pressed it. His arms jerked and his body staggered back as he shot the tree. Naruto grabbed him, "I told you it has a kick." He said. He then walked away and reappeared with the cannon he had taken from the angel defender. "This is a cannon, it's destructive force is incredible as it's kick back find a way to adapt it so it can be used without danger to the user… that's all I can do for you." He said.

Kakashi walked forward, "What do you mean that's all you can do?" he asked.

Naruto looked at his teacher and pulled his hood up covering his hair and throwing his face in darkness the only thing visible were his eyes and the symbol on his forehead, "Exactly what I said I can't do anything more now… but in future I can return everything back to normal… I don't know how long I'll be gone but I will come back. When I do I will have the power to put Heaven and Hell back where they belong." He said, "Good-bye… and take care." And he walked away with that. Kakashi was confused, he wanted to stop Naruto to make him explain everything, 'But what would that change? Nothing…' he looked at the weapons then at where Naruto once stood and he grabbed one of the poles and hefted it up. He then turned to the others "let's go we need to start training on using these weapons." He said and he turned away taking his pole gun with him while the shinobi worked on hefting the cannon.

-Ulthane's Home-

Naruto sighed, he had spent 2 whole days walking and thinking. 'Power… before I didn't think much on what it meant… power was something I didn't really care about… and it's not the same as strength. Strength becomes power… not the other way around… I've always wanted to be strong. To make people recognize me, to not treat me as garbage. But now… I want to be strong so I can have the power to protect the home I once had… but I couldn't so now I need the strength to have the power to make things right in the universe… for it must be a big universe out there.' he looked up to see Ulthane standing there beside him was a large metal box, in his hand was his legendary hammer.

The Maker looked Naruto in the eye, "Are you ready… War?" He asked.

Naruto blinked then he nodded, "You have any idea how long it'll take for me to complete my training?" He asked.

Ulthane shrugged, "It depends on how quick you are at learning, you'll need to be trained in more than just body but also in your mind, and your heart. I'll teach you the techniques you'll need to win a battle and put your body through the harshest of conditions to be able to adapt to your environment, but to train your mind you need beings whose knowledge surpass mine. Luckily I know two beings that can do just that… anyway when you're ready step here." And he pointed to the ground Naruto looked and saw a glyph surrounding Ulthane.

Naruto recognized it though he was sure it wasn't the same thing, "I guess this is the portal to a new world?" Ulthane nodded. The reborn War nodded inhaled deeply then exhaled. "Let's do this…" he said and he stepped forward into the glyph Ulthane raised his hammer and slammed it on the ground it began to glow brightly and energy emerged from the symbols they curled around Ulthane, Naruto and the box and then the glyph lit up with energy and engulfed them… when it faded they were both gone. Off to make Naruto into the legendary Horseman known as War.

-Unknown World-

Naruto felt he was in a different world simply by inhaling the air. He looked to see rocks with strange symbols carved into them with moss and foliage growing on them. Ulthane looked at him, then he reached into a bag at his waist, opened it and pulled out a sphere, "Pup." And threw the sphere at Naruto who caught it, he looked and saw it looked like a planet. "A little souvenir now come on this is where the first bit of training starts." He said.

Naruto didn't respond but felt the ground shake as Ulthane walked away it took him a while but he understood what the small planet was, it was his own recreated by Ulthane. He gripped it tightly and it turned to smoke and was absorbed into his large right gauntlet. "Just you wait everyone… I'll bring everything back into order… and I'll find the other horseman… just hold out until that day comes." And he hurried to catch up with his mentor.
