Sorry about my little hiatus, but I'm here now! So hopefully we'll have regular updates from now on. Enjoy!
-.-.-.-.-
Morning rolled around bring over me a daze of confusion. Which day was it? They were all starting to blur into one. Charlie was gone, he had left a note explaining that he got called in early. I gathered my stuff and stood in the kitchen gazing longingly at the box of cheerios. I picked one up and examined it closely. What would happen if I just tried to eat it? I never got to test my hypothesis because just then there was a knock on the front door. The cheerio fell to the ground, rolling underneath the stove.
To my complet surprise it was Edward, and we were both wearing blue.
"Good morning." He said smiling like this was a perfectly normal thing for a guy to do. I don't know any guy who would pay so much attention to once individual. Not even for their girlfriends. What was he playing at?
"Are you ready to go?" Edward asked.
"Yea let me just get my bag," I said trying to hide my surprise. "You know, my truck is fixed."
"Actually I was thinking we could walk." Edward said as I locked the front door. I noticed his car wasn't park outside. Did he walk all the way here from his house? "If you don't mind of course." He added on.
"Not at all." Truly I didn't mind an extra fifteen mineuets with Edward in the morning.
We set out into the morning mist, walking side by side, so close our elbows were almost touching.
"How are you doing without sleep?" he asked.
"Okay," it was getting boring, I needed to find myself a laptop, with high-speed internet, I bet that would make the night go by faster.
"Maybe you should take up a hobby or something?" he asked.
"Maybe, but I'm also trying to avoid detection. I'm thinking of getting a laptop or something. I don't know yet, I have to see how much the repairs for the truck cost."
"You don't have a computer?"
"No I do it's just a billion years old and really loud."
Edwards laugh sounded musical. "Have you asked Charlie about Seattle yet?"
"No, I didn't get a chance to, I will tonight, and get the volunteer form filled out as well." The conversation continued as normal the whole way to school, but the gap between my elbow and Edwards seemed to disappear till we were practically leaning against each other. I was excited because I could actually feel the slight pressure from his body, but that also scared me a little and brought me back to the reality of the situation.
Mike spent all of English talking about the trip to first beach coming up that Saturday, everyone seemed to be talking about it. Supposedly it was actually going to be nice weather.
I spent trig and Spanish being interrogated by Jessica, apparently she had seen Edward walking with me in the morning and wanted to know every detail of our conversation. Then she decided to share her own news, apparently mike had said yes to her invitation to the dance. They were now a thing apparently. "Angela and I are going to Port Angeles to look for dresses, you should come too, since it looks like you're going to have a date now." She said winking at me. Mr. Varner had left the room momentarily and told us to work on the homework in the last half hour of class, so Jessica's voice just blended into the crowed.
"No I'm not going to be here for the dance. I'm going to Seattle that weakened." I could only imagine her reaction if I told her I would be going with Edward.
"We'll you should come anyway. I need your opinion, I like Angela and everything but I don't know if we really share the same style." I looked at Jessica's ugg boots and straight blond hair with highlights in it. I think I might have shared Angela's style in clothes more than Jessica's but I agreed to go with her anyway.
I was on the way to lunch with Jessica when I felt someone grab my elbow. I turned around and to my surprise it was Emmett. Jessica turn around as well, the look in her eyes was pure fear.
"Hey wassup?" he asked waking with us to the cafe.
"Nothing you?" I asked confused. I was under the impression Emmett didn't like me.
He waited until Jessica was preoccupied before saying "Edwards not going to be here after school. I'll give you a ride to our house, so meet me in the parking lot." I was confused for a second before I realized it was probably Carlisle who wanted me to come over for a checkup.
"Is everything okay?" I asked worried something happened to me.
"Yea everything's fine. See you after school" He said walking away.
Before he was even gone Jessica was grabbing me arm asking what he wanted.
"Nothing." I said trying to casually brush it off, failing miserably.
I spent lunch barely paying attention to what was going on around me. The only thing I did notice was that the Cullen's weren't here.
I wasn't expecting Edward to be there in bio but to my surprise he was. "Hey, what's going on? Why am I getting a lift from Emmett?" I asking pulling my stool out beside him.
"Carlisle wants me to pick some stuff up for him, I won't be long but the store closes right after school and he's working. He will be home when you get there though."
Mr. Banner was going around checking homework, which I found unusual but wasn't going to complain seeing as I had finished all of it and knew the material we had covered so far off by heart. This not sleeping thing was coming in useful.
"It's funny, how much of a big deal people are making out of Emmett talking to me. You would think he was a celebrity or something." Edward looked momentarily concerned but brushed it over quickly.
"What are we not allowed to talk to people? Isn't that part of the high school experience?" he ask defensively. But tried to brush it off as if he was joking.
"It is weird. How did you guys get that kind of rep?" I questioned.
Edward just shrugged facing the front of the class room. Mr. Banner had begun teaching.
I convinced coach Clapp to let me sit out on account of a stomach ache, he probably assumed it was something else but I didn't care. I sat on the stage, watching mike play basketball, he was actually really good. He came over to talk when the teams switched.
"You okay?" he asked concerned.
"Yea I'm fine." I said in a whisper looking over at coach. Mike caught on and laughed. Coach blew his whistle, mikes team was back on.
End of the day I stood awkwardly in the middle of the parking lot looking around for Emmett. He rolled up to me in a silver Toyota looking even larger in the cramped car. I couldn't suppress my laugh. He scrawled driving off more aggressively than nessisarily. The girls were here either.
"No one asked you opinion Bella." He said when I burst into giggles again. His seat was pushed back as far as it would go and it still wasn't enough space. "Come on." He said honking at the driver in front. I guess who ever it was, was a new driver, too scared to merge into traffic.
"Yea honking at them is really going to help." I said sarcastically. Jessica and mike walked by holding hands. I waved at them, Jessica waved back mike was staring down Emmett as if he could kill him if he thought hard enough.
"You're full of opinions tonight aren't you?" he mumbled.
