Chapter11

Natsu sat down on his chair staring at ceiling for a moment taking a deep breath preparing his mind to start another tiring day. It was a routine for him to take such a deep breath to start the work since he would make all his focus into the work without letting it slide to think of another thing unrelated to the work. He stretched his arm out to his desk as he started to look at the paper in front of him and his eyes caught a folder which had photos in it. He grabbed it and started to look into it and his eyes fell finally in the photo of the blonde. Either he was blind or it was a mistake to have her photo in this document.

The pink haired flipped the papers over and looked at the front to realize that it was the applying of a secretary Erza talked days ago but his question wasn't answered yet. He took a deep breath and grabbed the headset of telephone and dialed Erza's office number as he waited for her to answer.

"Erza, come to my office for a minute."

He closed the telephone and waited but in the other direction Erza was a little frightened of what had just happened. She knew that he was calling her but not this fast. He had entered the office around 3 minutes ago it must have taken him more than these 3 minutes to call her but it was faster than she thought. The redhead stood up from her place heading to the office's door. She walked to Natsu's one and then knocked the door and entered.

"You called?"

Erza asked as she walked to Natsu who was busy looking at papers which she didn't know what those are and meant to him. He raised her head to look at her and didn't speak and then his eyes fell again on the desk as he started to search for something.

"This…" he grabbed it and stretched his hands out to Erza and stared at her. Erza looked at him for a minute and then grabbed the file that he held and looked at it.

"This is the secretary file,"

"Great, why does it have Lucy's photo?" he asked as he was focused to look at her face not bothering herself to think about anything else.

"… She… wants a job?" Erza said sweat dropped from her face.

Natsu raised one eyebrow looking at his friend who was a little nervous talking to him but didn't comment at her words as he kept staring at her waiting her to continue.

"My tongue once slipped and I told her that we need a secretary and then she said that she is going to apply." She was lying and Natsu knows that she was lying because he knew both Erza and Lucy for such a long time and knows when the moment they lie in was.

"So she is going to have an interview?" Natsu asked as he started to look at the papers in front of him.

"Yes, very fair interview. I'm not going to choose her because she is my friend." Erza said sincere about her words.

"She is gonna get the job anyway." Natsu said with a low voice but Erza caught that and felt overjoyed about something that actually didn't deserve.

"Really, why?" she tried to hide her happiness. Natsu kept looking down at the papers not paying so much attention and then he opened his mouth to talk.

"That's because she studied business."

"If you look closely you will find that half of appliers studied business." Erza crossed her arms looking closely at the papers she was given.

"No one has continued… except Lucy."

"… You have a point."

Erza kept staring at the file and then started sneaking glances at the pink haired guy who was busy studying something. She smiled warmly at hearing how Natsu knew Lucy well even though they broke up years ago, he just can't ignore the fact that the both of them were once dating. She walked to his desk and dropped the file over his desk and left the office.

Natsu raised his eyes from the other file to look at the secretary's file falling deep in his mind. How something so simple could moves his feelings or even bothers his mind like that? Natsu wasn't that person who could lie to himself and say that he doesn't love her but he wasn't that person who could go running to someone who abandoned him either. For Natsu, he preferred to live his whole life like this instead going to go clinging on someone who doesn't have the same feelings to him.

A mistake or a sin a person can make and some of those weren't forgivable even though you apologize. Some took Lucy's side and confessed that she didn't do wrong because that time she was sad and so on. But in the same time, Natsu wasn't at fault to be punished like that. His state changed completely and he became addicted to drinks and this thing changed now because he doesn't drink at all now. He got married to a woman he hated and started to treat her badly and because of him and he thinks that because of him she became weak as she ended up dying while giving birth. Even if Lucy came regretting what she did years ago, nothing will change from the present because what he saw was enough to change his life.

The blonde haired girl entered the place as she started to feel so nervous about coming to her ex's company. While walking in the passage, she started to see Natsu everywhere she walks to. She started regretting those years she missed spending with. She regretted the time she missed seeing him achieving such a very successful thing. This company was raised to the upper world in a very short time and it was all thanks to the salamander the pink haired guy who was focused in work only. When she first realized that Natsu was the owner of the fairy tail company, she became shocked and didn't believe how much he changed since she left him. How many hours he gave his mind and body to the work without complaining? She knows Natsu very well and knows that when he puts his mind in something, he successes in it.

"Lucy, you are here."

Lucy's face snapped towards the voice's direction that surprised her and cut her thoughts. She smiled immediately as she saw the person that was talking to her.

"Juvia, how are you?"

She walked along with her friend until she reached the room the interview was supposed to be in and stopped.

"I heard from Erza that you're going to be Natsu's secretary." The blue haired girl smiled.

"I hope to get a job, I hope to success." She was hoping to success but her mind was bothering her of what will happen next and how would she end up meeting her ex everyday and being reminded of her old love again, of her old life as well.

"I believe you will success, fighting." Lucy forced a smile on her lips praying to God that everything would be fine. She moved her eyes to the right side and her eyes fell on the pink haired guy who just got out from his office as he started to talk to the redhead girl who came near him. Her heart squeezed and she felt tightens. It was a punishment, seeing him is a punishment for what she did.
