Raito sighed, running his fingers through his hair. He had hoped that the next few months would be peaceful, given L's behavior the past few weeks. He'd been so clingy, and he even acted like he trusted him. He hadn't uttered the name Kira in so long. Now... He was back to square one.

He looked over at BB, who was snickering quickly, not even trying to hide it. "What?" He growled, his eyebrow twitching slightly, his eyes narrowing.

BB grinned, looking over at him, an expression like glee on his face. "I think it's funny that... You worked so hard to deceive him, and make him fall in love with you, only for it to be torn apart by something that wasn't even you're fault."

Raito felt mixed emotions about what he heard. He was insulted and angry that this stupid cannibal thought this was so amusing - luckily and conveniently for BB, he wasn't the one L was mad at. Actually, he seemed to want to be closer to him just to send Raito off the edge. The other part of him was pleasantly surprised that he didn't think all of this was Raito's fault. Not that he would ever confess his secret to anyone outside of the "Kira fanclub", but he wondered how he knew for certain it wasn't planned. "You... don't believe I'm Kira?" He asked hopefully.

That just sent BB into a giggle fit. "Hah! Of course I do. Hehehe... Actually... pfft... I know that you are the one killing by the Death Note." Raito had to bite his tongue to keep from asking him questions. How did he know of such a thing? No one outside of the investigation knew. Although... BB always seemed full of surprises. "But I also know you didn't kill Watari. You didn't even know his name. He was old, and his last few days were very stressful. If my dear twin wasn't so sentimental, he would have seen that sooner." He smirked slightly, shoving his hands into his pockets, looking as if another highly amusing thought had just come to him, his gaze wandering above Raito's head. "I wouldn't waste any more time, Night Light. You're running out of life, and you might want to reconcile with dear L before it's too late. Wouldn't want your children remembering you as a monster."

"You're one to talk." He growled, but heeded his words. What did he mean by that? And how did he know when he was going to die? The words did send a shiver down his spine, so he left the red-eyed killer in the living room by himself, going up stairs to his still angry lover.

L was laying in the bed, curled up on top of the sheets, his back facing the door. His laptop wasn't on as it usually was, and the only thing he could hear was the slow ticking of the clock and L's somewhat calm breathing. Raito cleared his throat, slowly walking over to the bed. "Ryuuzaki." He said quietly. When he didn't get a response back, he assumed that the sad detective was going to let him speak again. "I'm... sorry for your loss." He paused, just in case he wanted to try and smother Raito with a pillow at the statement. "I know you were close, and this is hard for you... but it wasn't m-" He stopped speaking for a moment, deciding that being careful with his wording was most important right now, not his innocence. If he wanted L to trust him - yet again - then he couldn't make this about himself. He sighed, sitting on the bed beside him, daring to reach out and touch his hand. "I know this is hard for you, but I'm here for you. You can't push me away this time, and keep blaming me. I'm staying by your side, no matter what you say."

He waited for him to say something, anything... To blame him more, or to yell at him and take all of his frustration and sadness out on him. He did neither, but simply moved over on the bed slightly, giving him more room to lay down.

Raito smiled faintly, laying down behind him, wrapping an arm around him as he linked their fingers together.

"Did you mean that?" L asked quietly, his voice oddly calm.,

"I meant every word." Raito said, kissing his head. "I'm not leaving, L. I... I love you."

L sighed softly, closing his eyes as he squeezed his hand. Raito had tried to confess his "love" for some time now, but this time, it was different. This time, he knew he meant it.

"Nice to see that you came to your senses, Lawlipop." BB said with a grin as he ate his dinner straight out of a jar filled with jam. L was eating rice with shrimp and chicken, and mustard sauce poured all over everything. How he wasn't running out of the room with tears in his eyes and his nose flooding, Raito couldn't figure out. The detective just rolled his eyes, shoveling more rice into his mouth. He did have to admit to himself that, even while pregnant, he shouldn't have jumped to such a conclusion... But Kira had been awfully quiet lately, and he had feared the worst. The worst being that the man that he was sleeping with was a cold-blooded bastard. Even now, he still suspected.

"L, what are we going to name them?" Raito piped up suddenly.

"Hm?" L had already given it some thought, but he wasn't sure Raito was going to even stick around for this long. He proved he was going to be bothersome until the end, though. "I like the name Mihael."

"Pah!" BB burst out laughing. "Of course you do!"

L looked over at his twin and tossed his now empty cup at him. "Shut up."

BB leaned over, still laughing, but Raito was confused. Why was that so funny? "What kind of name is that?"

"It's Russian." L told him over his brother's incessant cackling.

"And... what about the other one?" Raito asked.

"I don't know... That was the only one I was absolutely sure on."

Raito gave him a small smile. "I like it."

L gave him a playful grin. "You'd better... because I was going to use it whether you agreed with me or not."

The end is near!

No, seriously, I'm almost finished with this story. There isn't much more I can cover, except for the birth (obviously). Aside from Ryuk popping up one more time, and Raito maybe-or-maybe-not being able to see his family again, I think this fic is about done. This will be only the second one I've ever finished (let's just ignore the fact that I let this sit for six years) and I feel somewhat productive. As usual, thank you to those that have read, subscribed, and reviewed, AND stuck with me this far. I will ATTEMPT to finish this within the next month, but it might be a little hard to do since school will be starting up again early August. I'll get out what I can, and I promise I won't go *poof!* again.
