F.R.I.E.N.D.S

It's true, Dean Winchester was scared. He was scared about his emotions, he was scared about this new revelation, but mostly... he was scared about talking to his friends.

As memories from the night before came flooding back slowly, he began to realise just how many people had seen this, it wasn't exactly just some little high school kiss 'under the bleachers' (as the American exchange wizards would say) that he could pretend never happened - this was real, in front of the entire student body, and oh so obvious.

It wasn't even like he could say 'screw it' and it'd all blow over, there were complications. Social statuses were different; personalities were different; just in summer he was parading around with Lisa on his arm. It was too fast a change for students to handle, and he knew it. The second he walked out of that door, all hell would break loose.

And yet, looking at Castiel rolling begrudgingly out of bed to get into something decent (and that ungodly hair, for someone with such a righteous name you'd expect less of the sex waves riding off the dark silk running from his head) left Dean feeling like he could stick it through.

All for that pretty face...

Those big aquamarine eyes...

Those sinful lips...

And Dean shook himself awake out of this daydream of Cas. After all, the man was literally staring at him now probably what kind of a freak would gawk at someone for over two minutes without blinking.

"Are you alright Dean?" Castiel asked, nonchalantly pulling of the angel wings and searching for the shirt Charlie had refused to let them wear under the wings.

"I... uh... um... don't know." He answered scratching the back of his head, brushing his fingertips through his hair. He stood and mimicked Cas, taking off the wings first and then chucking on one of his own shirts.

"So, what do we do about them?" Cas chucked his head in the direction of the door.

"We go out there... annnnd we tell them the truth."

"And what would be the truth?"

"That we, umm kissed, more than once and we..."

"We what?"

"We umm..."

"We what?" Castiel asked, more impatient this time.

"Well Cas, so much for keeping this 'just friends' let's put it that way"

"Dean what ARE you saying?"

"Well Cas... I'm saying we ride off this cliff together, Thelma and Louise style"

"Dean, again with pop culture... I don't..."

"Yeah, you don't understand that reference I get it."

"Well then, what is it?"

"Christ, ummm... can we... ummm... do the more than... no wait... will you be my... no hang on... do you mind if you and I... no... will you... agh!"

"Yes. I will go out with you." Castiel answered, walking over, sitting on Dean's lap, wrapping his legs around him and kissing him softly to reassure him.

Dean could only stumble out one word: "Wow."

Castiel could only reply with: "I know."

They stared at each other for minutes, before Dean said: "We have to go tell them."

Castiel sighed. "I know."

"We should do it now..."

"I know."

"We need to get up..."

"I know."

"Are you gonna say anything other than I know?"

Castiel smirked, he shook his head but clambered off a disappointed Dean. He pulled the other guy up, stumbling backwards a little with Dean bumping into him when standing. They both blushed a little before turning and walking to the door, which was seeming like a dungeon gate. Being with each other was one thing, but telling their friends? Not fun.

Dean tried to cheer Cas up by nudging him with his elbow as he was less worried than Cas, even though he was the one most likely to get all the backlash, especially from Benny, Lisa and Tessa. Cas, on the other hand looked like he was walking to his death. He was dying a little inside. He was quite happy before, hiding in the shadows, and at the back of classrooms, making it so it looked as if he never existed, but that was going to be a bit impossible now. The elbow nudge, while trying to be helpful, really just did not help him to cheer up. What did was Dean's grin. His smiling eyes looking back at Cas made him melt inside.

They traipsed down the stairs, trying to keep at a slow a pace as possible. Dean could hear Benny's laughing from the common room. They were awake.

As they came through the doorway sounds of whooping and cheering filled the room, which was weird because there was only three people, other than Dean and Cas, there. Benny, Lisa and Tessa were wolf-whistling their way through another embarrassing moment.

Dean clapped. "Yeah, yeah funny. Hahaha. Gettit outta your system now."

"So you two have FINALLY fucked then." Tessa chuckled.

Castiel blushed. Dean coughed. "Not that far..." he mumbled, making it just obvious enough for everyone to know to shut up.

"So is this official?" Lisa asked, twirling her hair and staring up at Dean, with her arm held tightly around Benny.

"Um, yeah I guess." Answered Dean.

There was more sounds of cheering and whooping.

At this moment Jo walked in and ran up to Cas, giving him a massive hug, saying, "I don't know what you said to her, or what you did, but thank you."

Castiel looked confused.

"Charlie. While you two were busy eating each others faces, she and I got talking and she asked me on a date to the Three Broomsticks."

"Charlie was able to get the words out to ask you?" He asked, scratching his head.

"How'd you even get in here?" Dean asked, arms crossed.

"You need a new password, let's put it that way." Jo grinned, smacking the Gryffindor on the arms and winking at Cas. "And yeah, I think it was that liquid luck you were feeding her."

"I did no such thing!" Castiel protested, looking horrified at the idea of feeding his friend a potion without consent or knowledge of it.

"Chill dummy, I meant alcohol."

Castiel breathed a sigh of relief. "Speaking of Charlie, I better ring her and tell her I'm alright."

"She knows" Dean answered, looking at the floor. Castiel stared at him. "I called her before I woke you up."

"Ah. okay."

"Well..."

"Umm..."

"Bacon roll?" Benny asked, standing and prying his arm from a clingy Lisa.

"God yes." The mutters from around the room poured in.

"I call Charlie anyway" Castiel said "She'll want in on the free food too."
