Hello again, everyone! So, I'm thinking of writing a Dragon Age fanfic. It'd be Morrigan x Leliana, and the arc would take place over all three Dragon Ages. What do you all think? Would you want to read that? I'd really appreciate some feedback on this, as I really want to do it.
Overly Emotional: I literally update about 6 hours after you posted that! I dunno. I thought it was kinda funny.
jenmar14: I apologize for the shortness. I'm writing it on my phone, and I have an awful concept of how long or short a chapter looks. Tori kept her daughter from Jade because she believed Jade was crazy. You'll just have to wait and see for everything else!
fruitfly50: He will, but not in the way anyone's gonna think. Trust me here.
Azkadellio: I like what you're thinking, but that's not really what I had in mind. You'll see soon, though.

The drive back to the Vega's house was silent, but comfortable. Jade stole glances at Tori every few seconds, who did the same. Neither one of them knew what this meant for their relationship, and both of them were scared to bring up the topic.
Tentatively, Tori's hand came to rest in the middle of them, near the gearshift. It was close enough to the tan woman to be casually brushed off as a slight change in position, but close enough to Jade that it could be seen as a small attempt at rebuilding their lost relationship.
No. To build a completely new one, free from lies and deceit.
Jade looked at the hand from the corner of her eye. So much was behind such a small gesture. She could feel part of herself hesitating, wanting to hold on to the hate that had kept her warm for so long.
Jade placed her own hand on top of Tori's, reveling in the stark contrast between pale and tan.
Another part of Jade, the part that would love Tori until the very end, won.
"Hey, Jade?"
"Yeah, Vega?"
"Do you think that, after all this is over, we could...try again?" There was a hopeful tint to her voice, buried behind forced neutrality.
Jade sighed, and Tori looked worried. At the next red light, Jade turned to the youngest Vega.
She brought the woman's hand to her mouth, kissing it lightly.
"I think I'd like that, Tori."
!
When they arrived back at the house, Jade opened the door for Tori, and took her hand. She led her up to the front door, then stopped. She turned to her, taking her other hand.
"I don't want to tell Robbie or your parents about this." Jade said, staring into Tori's eyes.
The Latina shot her a questioning look. Jade went on.
"I know that my brother is probably pissed off that we're here in the first place. He. Doesn't really like you, to be honest. And your parents would probably think that we're just rushing back into this."
Tori nodded, then smiled.
"So, sneaking around again, are we? This reminds me of our teenage years." She stepped closer, putting her hands on Jade's chest. She claimed the paler woman's lips, feeling her arms wrap around her waist.
This is where she dreamed of being for such a long time. She felt safe in her love's arms.
When they detached, Tori's arms went around Jade's neck. She laid her head on Jade's chest, letting the scent of old leather, coffee, and cigarette smoke surround her.
"Does this mean we're together?" Tori asked, afraid of the answer.
Jade responded by tightening her hold on the woman, and placing a kiss on the top of her head.
"We'll have to take it slow, for now, Vega. I love you, but I'm still afraid to trust you. But yeah. I think this means we are." Jade said, letting Tori's own scent of lavender and vanilla make her head fuzzy in a way only Tori could.

The two eventually disentangled themselves from one another and went inside. They came across an unlikely sight.
A tall man was standing with Robbie next to a large portable cork board, with different pictures placed on it, different colored strings connecting certain pictures. Under many of the pictures were different colored sticky notes, some of which containing only a few words, while others had no free space left from all of them. In short, it looked like the work of a madman.
"Good to see you again, Sikowitz." Jade said, smirking. She walked over to the cork board and took a look at it. Upon further inspection, it seemed like all of the pictures and sticky notes had a common theme.
All of them seemed to be centered around mass murders around the world in the past couple of months.
"Siko, Robbie, what is this?" Jade said, disgustingly fascinated. From religious fanatics blowing up schools in the name of their god, to missiles "accidentally" being shot at popular malls, each event killed 30 or more people horrifically.
Robbie turned to Jade, his arms crossed.
"You remember those old stories dad used to tell us when we would get cocky about killing evil things?" He asked uneasily.
"Yeah. Of course. Those stories used to scare the shit outta me." Jade replied, unsure of where this was going.
"Do you remember the main antagonist of said stories?"
"Yeah. The Firstborn. What about it?"
At this point, Sikowitz turned from the cork board to the raven haired woman.
"The Firstborn isn't just a story, Jade. It's real."
Jade turned to him.
"You've got to be shitting me."
!
"The Firstborn is just what the name implies." Jade began, turning to the confused looking Vegas.
"It is both male and female, and its power is seemingly limitless. God made it before he made Adam and Eve, giving the human race flaws, and emotions. He realized that he'd made too powerful a being with the Firstborn, and he shut it away in a dark corner of reality. But every so often, it breaches into our world, and has to be sealed away. Every time it's sealed away, it takes a piece of our world with it."
She sat down on the couch, her mind trying to figure out why it would want her daughter.
It was Robbie who continued.
"Since Sumerian times, seven warrior priests have been trained and put on standby in the event that the Firstborn tried to breach back into our world. They're job was to seal him away once again."
After he finished, the room was deathly silent. Everyone looked horrified, and the Vegas were in a state of disbelief.
"If this thing is real, why does it want Kiera?" Tori asked skeptically.
Sikowitz sighed, and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Honestly Tori? I don't know. Nobody knows the Firstborn's reasoning for any of it's plans."
"It doesn't matter, anyways." Jade said, standing up once again.
"Dad always ended that story the same way. We'd ask him if he was one of the warrior priests, and he'd just chuckle and say 'once, a long time ago.' Know what that means, Robbie?"
Robbie nodded grimly.
"It's time to go talk to dear old dad."
!
And that's where I'm gonna leave off this time, lovelies! As I said before, I would seriously love your feedback with the Dragon Age fic, even if you aren't really familiar with the series. Everything you'd need to know is a quick search away!
Also, if you want to know about the Firstborn, or where the story is going, I'd highly recommend checking out the videogame known as Clive Barker's Jericho. It's a great game, and it has a lot of really cool stages that I'm going to try to incorporate into this fic.
Anywho, as always, if you liked this chapter, I'd love to hear back from you in the reviews! Have a lovely day!
