On this Thursday morning, the sun was shining brightly. The air had a light feeling to it and the breeze that passed refreshed everyone. The sky was wonderfully blue and was filled with puffy white clouds. There was a 5% chance of rain and it was looking to be a perfect day. Even on this perfect day Hinata felt especially bitter. She looked at the world with a negative view and held a permanent frown on her face. Instead of appreciating this weather, she somehow hopes that something will happen to ruin it. She hadn't slept very well and so that caused a small portion of her grouchy mood. Since yesterday after work, she hasn't smiled. Not even when her favorite movie came on the television. Her mood seemed to be exceptionally bad. Hinata stopped walking as she waited for the train to pass by.

The wind pushed her hair back and she narrowed her stare at the passing train. The universe seemed to contrast with her mood. The young woman waited for the yellow bar to rise and checked her watch. She was still early to attend work and she had a craving for some coffee—something she only drank when she was stressed. She took a sharp left as she crossed and looked for the familiar bakery shop that she had found when she first moved in the neighborhood. Hinata entered the small shop and was greeted by a sweet fragrance. This caused a tremendous lift in her spirit as she sat down on a stool.

"What can I get you miss?" the young man with red hair asked as he wiped down the table in front of her. Hinata looked at the menu quickly and returned her attention on the male.

"A cup of coffee and a cinnamon bun," Hinata answered and the male nodded a bright smile. The young female inwardly rolled her eyes. She envied the way that he could smile without a care in the world. Hinata leaned on her hand as she waited for her order. The male returned holding the same smile and gave her the beverage and sweet. Hinata nodded in thanks and the male walked away to tend another customer.

"Who knew I'd see Hinata Hyuuga in a small coffee shop like this, drinking coffee no less," a voice behind her said loud enough for her to hear if she was sitting three rows down. Hinata's body stiffened and her eyes widened. She turned slowly to the side and saw that her suspicions were right. Her childhood friend, and love, was standing right in front of her. Kenta was standing right in front of her in all his glory. Hinata swore that she could see a golden light shining down on him and angels singing.

"Are you just going to sit there and stare or are you going to give me a hug?" Kenta asked as he ran a hand through his hair and eyed her from the side. Hinata stood up and walked into his outstretched arms. She could feel his arms wrap around her and smelt his familiar scent. He hadn't changed at all, even after all these years.

"I feel like when we were in high school," Kenta announced when they released each other and sat down. Hinata nodded and started to feel her mood skyrocket. Kenta smiled and noticed her order.

"I see you're still obsessed cinnamon buns," Kenta noted and Hinata blushed.

"It's not an obsession," Hinata pouted and Kenta grinned.

"So she talks," Kenta teased and Hinata's blush darkened as she smiled. The male ran a hand through his blonde hair and blushed as he kept an eye on her smile. Hinata bit into her cinnamon bun and drank a sip of her coffee—immediately regretting that she ordered it. Kenta looked at the distaste on her face and started chuckling. He grabbed the coffee and drank a bit.

"It's not even bad Hinata," Kenta said as he placed the cup back on the table. Hinata blushed and smiled once again. She suddenly checked her watch and gasped.

"Um, waiter may I have this to go?" Hinata asked as the waiter came back.

"Certainly," the male smiled and went to fetch a box for her. Kenta raised a slender brow and checked his watch.

"How come you're leaving so early? Can't wait to get rid of me eh?" Kenta asked as he leaned in with a frown. Hinata giggled and shook her head.

"Of course not, I'm just heading to work. I like to arrive early so that I have everything prepared for my students," Hinata explained and Kenta leaned on his hand.

"So you're a teacher. What happened to your music dream? You were a wonderful musician," Kenta asked as he drank more of her coffee. Hinata looked down and tightened her jaw.

"That dream was….unrealistic," Hinata said after a moment of thinking. The waiter returned with a box and a small bag. Hinata placed the sweet into the container and wiped her hands with the napkin before placing money onto the counter.

"It was really nice seeing you again," Hinata smiled as she stood up and held out a hand. Kenta stared at it and shook his head.

"The last time we did that, it was goodbye for a long time," the blonde haired male said as he hugged her. Hinata nodded and wrapped her arms around his back. They released each other and Kenta put a twenty dollar bill down as a tip for the waiter. Hinata raised a brow as they exited the shop and Kenta walked with her.

"What are you doing?" Hinata asked as she glanced at him from the corner of her eye.

"No idea!" He grinned as he ran a hand through his hair. Hinata noticed and tried to remember if he had done that when they were in high school. She started humming and Kenta sung the actual lyrics as he added these awkward hand movements. Hinata smiled and then noticed that he was still following her.

"Are you going to keep following me?" Hinata asked as they crossed the street and the school was coming into view.

"Actually, I have some work to do first. How about we meet up at the same café after you finish work? My number is still the same so just call me. You still have my number right?" Hinata nodded, "Great. So see you then Hinata-chan!" Kenta waved goodbye to her as he walked in the opposite direction. Hinata smiled as she walked into her classroom. She felt as if she was floating on air, so different than when she woke up. Sasuke entered and Hinata smiled at him.

"Good morning Uchiha-san," she greeted him as she wrote the date on the board. Even if she was a better mood, she still remembered that the male had called her Ms. Hyuuga and so she would respect his unsaid wishes. Sasuke sat down in his usual seat and crossed his arms as his eyes followed her every move.

"Staring is considered rude," Hinata thought aloud as she turned around to face him. Sasuke looked up at her and gave her a blank stare.

"Hn. What's with that look," the male asked as he slightly glared at her without realizing it. Glaring was starting to become a reflex.

"Oh it's nothing that concerns you Uchiha-san," Hinata smiled at him and saw how he visibly tensed.

"Stop calling me that. My name is Sasuke not Uchiha-san," Sasuke growled as he stood up to face the female. Hinata held his gaze and narrowed her stare.

"You're a troubling anomaly. Every time I think I have the perfect piece for one part, you change the puzzle game," Hinata said and shook her head in annoyance. Sasuke looked at the necklace and reached for it. Hinata looked up at him and felt her annoyance fade. The male so close to her was so engrossed in her necklace that he didn't notice her looking. She hated that she couldn't stay angry at him. No matter how much she tried to, just one glance at him makes the anger diminish into nothing. Sasuke dropped the necklace back onto her chest and caught her gaze.

"I turn eighteen in July when is your birthday," Sasuke asked as he backed her against the chalkboard.

"December 27th," Hinata answered honestly and saw Sasuke smirk as he leaned near her ear.

"You'll be returning my affection by then. I'll have to think about what I want for my birthday from you," Sasuke whispered causing chills to go through Hinata's body.

"S-Sasuke p-please back a-away," Hinata stuttered as she placed a hand against his chest. Sasuke placed his hands on her waist and pulled away to look at her face.

"You're so annoying for making me want to kiss you," Sasuke said as he leaned in to kiss her. Hinata looked up at him and turned her face away causing him to kiss her cheek. The male didn't seem to mind and continued to kiss her cheek. Hinata's face turned bright red and was glad that the bell had finally rung. She pushed Sasuke away with all her strength and pointed to his seat with a blush on her face.

"G-Go to your seat U-Uchiha-san," Hinata stuttered her demand and saw Sasuke glare at her.

"Hinata I meant it when I told you not call me Uchiha-san," The male said seriously as he stared into her eyes.

"I-If you want to be unfair, then I can as well. I'll do as I please," Hinata whispered harshly as her students starting to enter the room. Sasuke walked to his seat and sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose. Naruto entered and pointed at Hinata.

"You, my mistress, have been graced with my presence," He announced as he twirled around in a circle.

"How high are you right now?" Sakura asked as she punched him on the head. Naruto winced but recovered quickly.

"I'm high off of life! For one reason only!" He pointed at Hinata again, "I have completed my homework!"

Almost everyone sweat dropped and held a blank stare. Hinata held in a laugh at his happiness and nodded her head.

"I'm proud of you," She said with a smile and Naruto grinned.

"Basketball coaches will just crawl into my hands now," Naruto said as he wiggled his fingers. Kiba stood from his seat and grabbed the male by the right ear.

"It's too early to be this annoying. Sit down and pay attention," Kiba said as he yawned and Sakura crinkled her nose.

"Well this has been an interesting start of my class. Since Naruto was so enthusiastic about his project maybe he'd like to share it with us," Hinata asked the male who nodded eagerly. He ran back to the front of the class and grinned.

"I drew a picture of my secretive self. I have black hair here like teme's. I don't usually wear shirts, to show off the abs ya know? Then—"

"What abs?" Ino asked as she leaned on her hand. Naruto glared at her and pointed a finger.

"Do you want to see blondy?" he asked and earned a nod from Ino.

"Sure I'd like to see your flat chest, blondy," Ino said as she smirked at him. Hinata shook her head and waved her hands.

"N-No, maybe on your own terms," Hinata interjected and motioned for him to continue.

"Alright, so the whole point of this picture is to show maybe what I would look like if my secrets had become a person," Naruto explained with a proud grin on his face. Hinata smiled and ruffled his hair.

"I hadn't even thought something like that," Hinata told him honestly and earned a knuckle bump from the male. Naruto went to sit down and Hinata faced her students.

"Anyone else want to go? There's no pressure," Hinata assured her students and when no one made a movement, she nodded.

"Alright let's discuss last night's read," Hinata said and her students started to open their books.

Lunch; Teacher's Lounge

Hinata stared at her lunch, which was heating up in the microwave, with boredom etched onto her face. She stifled a yawn and crossed her arms as she leaned on the wall.

"Good afternoon Ms. Hyuuga," Neji announced to her as he entered. Hinata gave a weak smile—her lack of sleep was starting to get to her.

"I can cover your next period. I'm still good at English," Neji said as he half mocked her and half offered her a suggestion. Hinata shook her head and held the same smile.

"I'll be fine. Thank you for proposing it though," Hinata thanked her cousin and grabbed her food that finished heating. She nodded at her cousin before leaving the room. As she made her way back to the room, she didn't walk fast. She knew that no one would be there waiting for her. She turned the corner and saw a tall figure leaning on the wall near her door. Kenta lifted his head at the sudden clicking of shoes and smiled as Hinata approached him.

"The fact that I am wearing this hideous guest tag for you means something," He announced and opened his arms to her. She walked into them gladly and smiled.

"Wait, why are you here? I thought we agreed to meet at the café," Hinata asked as they separated with a slight tilt to her head.

"Something came up so I won't be able to meet after this. I would call but I don't have your number and don't want an old woman yelling at me to give her cabbages back," Kenta explained with a serious expression on his face despite the teasing in his words. Hinata giggled and pushed him gently.

"I doubt she'd say cabbages. Glasses would be more appropriate," Hinata corrected and Kenta grinned. Her smile slightly faded when she saw Sasuke walking up behind him. Kenta noticed and turned around slightly.

"Student?" He asked and Hinata nodded. As Sasuke neared the duo, Hinata flushed.

"Uchiha-san, I don't think I can allow you to come—"

"Don't be stupid, I wasn't going to your class," Sasuke interrupted her as he passed by. Kenta frowned and caught up to him to tap the male on the shoulder.

"Dude you're like 16 you should really respect your teachers," Kenta said as he narrowed his stare. Sasuke glared at the blonde and slapped the hand off of his shoulder.

"Hesitate in talking to me Goldie Locks," Sasuke mocked as he continued his walk. Hinata stared down at her shoes and Kenta ruffled her hair.

"C'mon Hinata, kids these days are assholes so don't let it get to you," Kenta assured her with a grin. Hinata smiled faintly and walked into the classroom with Kenta following. Even if her childhood friend was here with her in the room, she couldn't help but feel out of place. Out of balance somehow. Hinata looked around before sitting and starting to converse with her male friend. They had so much to talk about. The years have been harsh to them both, whether that was a secret or not.
