Chapter11: Truth be told.
"Hello? Anyone home?" Lexi called as she walked into the Boarding house.
"No one is home." Damon called back.
"Hello Damon." Lexi said walking into the room seeing Damon sitting on the couch with a drink in his hand.
"Hey want a drink?" Damon asked getting up and walking over to the scotch and pouring me a drink.
"Sure." Lexi said throwing myself down on the couch.
"So you want to talk about what's on your mind?" Lexi asked as Damon thru himself down next to her.
"There is nothing to talk about." Damon stated.
"Well okay then." Lexi said taking a sip from her drink.
"How did you know?"
"How did I know what?" Lexi asked confused.
"How did you know that you belong with Lee?"
"Well I knew that I loved him and that we wanted a life together." Lexi stated simply.
"But how did you know? You wanted to be with him." Damon pressed.
"I can't explain it; Damon… let me put it this way when you know you'll know." Lexi explained.
"That's doesn't help me at all…."Damon sighed.
"Damon what exactly do you want to know?"
"I want to know how you allow yourself to feel for someone even if you might get hurt because of it."
"Well I'd say you have to listen to what your heart wants and whether you think this person is worth the risk." Lexi explained taking a sip from her drink.
"And if you think that person is but there are complications…"
"Look if this is about Elena… talk to her." Lexi said looking a Damon.
"She doesn't want to be with me Lexi..." Damon said laying his head on Lexis shoulder.
"How do you know?" Lexi questioned him.
"If she wanted to be she would be." Damon sighed.
"You never know until you try, Damon man up and talk to her."
"What she doesn't feel the same?"
"Well then you know you tried." Lexi replied.
"Thanks for the advice Lexi." Damon said smiling at her.
"It's a pleasure now before you make a move on me; let me help get your room."
"I would love the help." Damon said getting up and nearly fell over but Lexi grabbed him and put his arm around her shoulders.
"Come on Salvatore bed time for you." Lexi said leading up the stairs to his room.
"Thanks Lexi." Damon said Lexi tucked him in.
"It's my pleasure Damon." Lexi said before closing the room door behind her.
"Hey where have you been?" Stefan asked as Lexi walked back into the lounge.
"I was putting you brother to bed." Lexi said walking over to the fire place.
"Is he okay? We kind of got into an argument this morning." Stefan said sighing.
"Let me guess it's was about a certain brunette."
"Yes it was…" Stefan said.
"Stefan, Elena is with Damon." Lexi said slowly.
"I know she is but she is the love of my life it's hard to just let go of her."Stefan explained.
"Stef… she will always be someone you love and care about but if you don't let go of her you will always be hurt. "
"So what do I do?" Stefan asked leaning his head on Lexis lap.
"You let go, Stefan."
"Then I'm going to leave." Stefan said.
"Really you'd just up and leave?"
"Yes I would if Elena was certain that my brother is who she wanted to be with then I'd leave and start over somewhere else."
"I'll make you a deal when this is all over and Elena is where she wants to be then you and I pack up go find a new life." Lexi said looking down at Stefan.
"You're on." Stefan said smiling up at Lexi.
"Then my friend you have yourself a deal." Lexi said as Stefan sat up.
"Where will we go?" Stefan said.
"Anywhere and everywhere." Lexi said just as her phone started ringing.
'Hello?"
"Good evening Alexia." Klaus said.
"Klaus…hi." Lexi shrugging as Stefan sent her a look.
"Am I interrupting anything?" the British man asked.
"No not really… what can I help you with Klaus?" Lexi said standing up and walking over to the fire place.
"Well I was wondering if you knew where my brother is."
"Kol… I'm sorry Klaus I haven't seen him today." Lexi replied turning to face Stefan who was staring at the carpet.
"That is rather odd… he seems to have disappeared."
"Maybe he just when for a walk…. When last did you see him?" Lexi asked.
"Last night…. I thought he was spending the night with you and I didn't to contact you in case I interrupting you two."
"Sorry Klaus I haven't seen him but if he turns up I will be sure to let you know."
"Thank you Alexia I do appreciate it." Klaus said before they both said goodbye.
"Okay what did you do?" Lexi said waking over to Stefan.
"Nothing." Stefan said.
"Stefan Salvatore you know how I feel about lying." Lexi said.
"Okay I'll show you but please don't freak out." Stefan said.
"Show me then I'll decide whether or not to freak." Lexi said following him down to the basement.
"Look for yourself." Stefan said nodding to the metal door.
"Oh my gosh what the hell are you thinking?" Lexi said glaring at Stefan before looking back thru the bars. There on the bed was a unconscious Kol.
"Damon helped me… he came here last night looking for you saying something about him knowing who are and needing to talk to you…. Damon shot him with the vervain darts…. A lot of them he is really strong." Stefan explained.
"Why did you two do it though? You should just have woke me up… you realize that when he wakes up he is going to be extremely pissed and my whole plans is ruined because of you two.' Lexi yelled at Stefan.
"We were scared he might hurt you Lexi." Stefan said slowly.
"I do not need you two to protect me… that's why Damon was drinking so much you had your pity party you two were distracting me." Lexi said.
"No Lexi I…" Stefan was cut off when Lexi slapped him.
"You know how important this is to me and you kept it from me… you're supposed to be helping me Stefan not lying to me." Lexi said opening the metal door and walking over the Kol.
"What are you doing?" Stefan said from the door way.
"What you think? I am taking him home before Klaus and Rebbekah come here looking for him and kill us all." Lexi said lifting him over her shoulder.
"Lexi…" Stefan started but was interrupted by Lexi.
"I don't want to hear it Stefan… I have to take him home and figure what I' m going to tell him and the rest of his family." Lexi said walking up the stairs and out of the door.
Maybe he won't remember that Damon and Stefan attacked him Lexi thought as she drove up to drive to the Mikaelson's mansion.
"Klaus someone is at the door." Rebbekah yelled not moving from her place on the couch.
"Don't worry sister I'll answer the door, you don't have to get up." Klaus said walking to the door.
"Hello Klaus." Lexi said as Klaus opened the door.
"Good evening Alexia I see you have found my brother." Klaus said smiling down at her and stepping aside so that she could walk passed.
"Yes I did… hey Rebbekah." Lexi greeted Rebbekah before putting Kol down on the couch opposite her.
"Ahh you found him… wonder what kind of trouble he got himself into." Rebbekah said before turning her attention back to her magazine.
"Excuse my sister manners… she was always the one to go chase after him and bring him home and I think she is actually a little upset that she didn't need to go dins him this time." Klaus said taking a seat on one of the chairs.
"It's quite the opposite Nicklaus I am relieved that I don't have to go chasing after out rebellious brother for a change." Rebbekah said not moving here eyes from her magazine.
"Have you guys had to get Kol out of trouble a lot in the past?" Lexi asked trying to stop the conversation before it turns into a fight.
"Yes we have… Kol is very good at getting himself into trouble." Rebbekah said.
"We always end up having fix his messes." Klaus said looking at his little brother.
"He is fine… he will wake up when all the vervain is out of his system." Lexi said seeing a hint of worry in Klaus's eyes.
"Where exactly did you find him?" Klaus asked looking at Lexi.
"In the basement of the boarding house." Lexi said.
"Why was her there?"
"Damon was having a bad day and shot him with vervain darts" Lexi explained.
"That is very rude of Damon."Rebbekeah said.
"I had no idea so for a while I won't be staying at the boarding house." Lexi said.
"Where will you be staying?" Klaus asked.
"Probably at a hotel."
"Nonsense you will stay here." Rebbekeah said.
"What? No way I'll be perfectly fine in a hotel." Lexi argued.
"Nick talk some sense into her head… we have plenty of room and you'll stay here we insist." Rebbekeah said looking from Klaus to Lexi.
"Rebbekah is right… the conflict between you and our friends is because of us so please allow us to offer you somewhere to stay until your conflict has been solved" Klaus said standing.
"Well it doesn't seem like you two will take no for an answer so thanks for letting me stay here for a few days." Lexi said.
"Wonderful come with me and I'll give you some clothes to wear and show you to your room." Rebbekah said putting her magazine down.
"Thank you Rebbekeah…goodnight Klaus." Lexi said as Rebbekah lead her out of the room.
"Sleep well Alexia…" Klaus said.
"Here you go." Rebbekeah said opening the room door. They had gone to Rebbekeah's room to find Lexi some clothes to borrow for the period of her stay.
"Thank you for the clothes and the room Rebbekeah." Lexi said as she and Rebbekeah put the clothes in the cupboards.
"It's no problem… it'll be nice to have another girl around."
"You sure your brother will be okay with staying here?"
"Klaus won't care, Kol will be thrilled and my other brother is coming to visit us tomorrow and there is still plenty of room; so no they won't mind in the least."
"As long as you sure."
"I am… you get to meet Elijah tomorrow; he is my good brother." Rebbekeah said walking to the door.
"I'm looking forward to it… Goodnight Rebbekeah."
"Goodnight Lexi" Rebbekeah said closing the door behind her. Lexi had just changed into her pajama's when she heard she phone ring. Picking up the phone and looking at the caller ID she sighed before pressing the answer button.
"Lexi thank you for finally answering your phone you have Stefan worried sick about you." Damon said.
"Tell Stefan in fine… I'm staying at a hotel for a few days." Lexi explained climbing into bed.
"Lexi please just come home… I admit I messed up and we shouldn't have kept it from you… I'm really sorry for messing with your plan."
"Your right you shouldn't have… you said you were going to help Damon… everything could have been ruined because you and Elena had a fight."
"You right but I still want to help you Lexi… I owe you big time for taking care of Stefan for all those years."
"I'll be back in a few days Damon; you guys have a cure to find anyway."
"You're not going to help?"
"I'll help if I can but I don't think I can."
"I'll keep you posted on our progress."
"Thanks, Damon tell Stefan not to worry I'll be back soon."
"Will do Lexi…goodnight."
"Goodnight Damon." Lexi said before putting the phone down.
Hey guys I'm so sorry it took me so long to post this chapter I had exams and the I was on holiday but I'm still sorry I have posted in like a month thank you to all the people who reviewed my story :D I saw that I had 46 reviews last night and it literally made my night and motivated me to write this chapter. I am going to start getting to the point of my story soon starting with what Kol wanted to talk to Lexi about and what part Charles play's in the story in the next chapter I'm going to be bringing in Elijah( yay) as well develop Lexis relationship with the Michelson's a bit more. I will be starting my next chapter tomorrow so I don't have to make you guys wait too long this time
