Chapter 11

Gaara looked up nervously at Sai who was standing beside the bed holding his hand. They had gone back to Gaara's house so he could feel more comfortable, though it wasn't working. "So who's going to change me?"

"I am." Sai smiles down at him. "You changed me so I'll change you."

"It can't be you Sai. Gaara and Sai look over at Saku who was leaning by the window. "I have to do it. Sasori's blood is stronger in mine than yours." She walks over to Gaara and lays a hand on his shoulder. "We need you to be the strongest as possible."

Sai glared at her but looked down at his feet when she glared back. Noticing this Gaara looked at Saku. "Why does he do that?" Saku looks at Gaara. Sai figits with the hem of his shirt as he looks at everything except Gaara and Saku.

"I'm an alpha. Sai is just a beta, a beta that knows not to argue with an alpha."

Gaara looks at her. "What?"

Saku shrugs. "When you become a vampire again you will be an alpha too. Alphas are vampires who's souls are older than six hundred years old. Sasori is an Elder which is above alpha. He is the last one. Well until Deisuka decides to finally be reborn."

"Have you figured out why she hasn't come back?" Gaara asked as he grabbed Sai's hand giving it a light squeeze.

"I've ask many other Elder vampires before Sasori killed them, they have all said the only reason why a soul mate isn't reborn is because the other mate killed them or are lost." She shrugs. "You would have to go to the spirit realm to find her. Which is dangerous."

Gaara nods as he thinks about what she had said. Could Sasori kill his own soul mate? Was it even possible? He thought back to where Sasori was surprised when he killed Sayuki and his eyes had turned black. He had said that his didn't do it when his mate was killed. "No I think humans may have killed her." Saku and Sai look at him. "I think that she perhaps had been reborn but he never found her because he was already driven by madness by then."

Saku looks at him in shock. "I never thought about that.." She thinks for a moment. "We will figure it out,but right now you need to die and become what your meant to be. We will find him and kill him after." Gaara and Sai both nod as they look at each other. "Ok Sai I need you to go to the other room and watch out for anything. And I mean anything. Any weird sounds, smells, feeling, you go and find them and kill them. He might try to do something while Gaara is changing." Sai nods his head once and looks down at Gaara. He leans down and kisses him. Gaara sucks on his bottom lip gently and Sai makes a soft noise as he pulls away. He walks over to the door and walks out closing it behind him.

Gaara sighs and looks at the door. "Can you make this quick?" Gaara turns his head and looks at her. "I wanna be able to feel him."

Saku looks down at him sadly. "You can't feel him as a human can you?"

"I know I love him, though I'm still confused. All of Garma's memories are flying around my head and then there is Gasumi. I just want all the pieces to fit."

Saku nods as she sits down on the bed. "This will be painful. You are going to die, and this." She puts her hand on his chest. "Won't ever beat again." Gaara nods and looks her in the eye. "Ok here I go. There is no stoping." Gaara nods again as he bares his neck to her and closes his eyes.

Saku looks at him for a moment. She takes a deep breath and opens her mouth. Her canines elongate and she bites his neck. Instantly his blood flows into her mouth. She could still taste a little of Sasori in his blood. She holds onto his shoulders as she drains him of his blood. She could feel him weakening so she holds him to her as she continues. She can feel his heart slowing down and the tears that were wetting her shoulder. She pets his hair as his breathing slows to a stop. When his heart beat beats one last time she quickly lets go of his neck and cuts her wrist open with one of her fangs. She leans his head back and puts her wrist to his open mouth. The first drop lands on his tongue. As soon as it rolls down his throat his eyes pop open and he latches on to her wrist. Saku gasps in surprise as he drinks hungrily from her. Saku pets his hair again as she lets him feed from her.

Sai stands quietly in the other room as he listens to the soft taking. He wished with all his heart that he could be in there doing what Saku was doing. But he knew she needed to do it. Saku had helped him after he had become a vampire even after knowing that he was the reason why her brother was killed.

'Sai looked down at the body of his mate in his lap. There was blood everywhere. Sai turned Garma's head to look at him. "Please... Please don't leave me." Sai whispered.

Garma smiled up at him weakly. He brought his bloody hand up and cupped his face. Sai nuzzled his hand as tears slowly made their way down his face. "Find Saku.." He took a shuddering breath. "Will help you.." Sai just cried harder. "I love you.."

Sai looked down at him. "I'll find you. I promise.. I just.. I love you too.. Please don't leave me..." Sai pleaded. Garma leaned up a little and Sai met him in the middle. Their lips touched and Sai cried harder as he felt Garma's lips go cold against his.

Sai had buried him next to Sayuki under the Sakura tree. He knew they were meant to be together and now they were. He would find Garma, no matter where he was he would find him, he just had to wait. Sai bent down to the ground and laid a handful of Sakura petals on the graves, he stood then turned away from the graves. Walking away he knew what he need to do, and that was to find Saku.'

Sai had found the tree orchard after a month of wandering around the land of shadows. Sai couldn't look away from the trees in front of him. He looked up at the hanging fruit and sniffed the air. He could smell they fruity blood in the fruit. He reached up and grabbed one of the fruit. He lightly twisted it and it let go into his hand. "Who told you how to pick from them?"

Sai jumped and turned quickly to see a female standing behind him. Her hair was wildly blowing in the wind. She looked at him with guarded eyes. "Are you Saku?"

She looked him up and down. "Who's asking?"

Sai bowed to her. "I am Sai. Garma's mate."

Saku looked at him with her head tilted to the side. Her eyes widen as she straitened her neck. Tears formed in her eyes as she took a step closer to him only to fall to her knees. She hid her face in her hands as she burst into tears. "No! How could he?!"

She wept louder as Sai put a hand on her shoulder. He got down onto one knee in front of her. "We will see him again." He said quietly. "Garma will come back just like i did."

Saku glares up at him with puffy eyes. "Why do you two keep getting your selves killed?" Sai chuckles as he stands. He offers her his hand and pulls her up when she takes it. "Come lets get out of the open."

She had talked about Garma and they're little adventures and warned him that Sasori will try everything to keep them apart. Sai trained for a few days, and on other days he'd help Saku with her research. Sai stayed with Saku for a few years before running off one day after feeling Garma being born.

Sai sighed as he looked out the window. That had been a long time ago. And every time he found Gaara Saku would come help him. Sai looked up to the sky and watches a bird flying over the city. Sai's eyes open wide as he really looks at the bird. There was a person on the back. Sai jumped out the window. 'I won't let him get you Gaara. Not this time!'

(A.N. Ok y'all how was that!? I wanted to make this chapter a little longer so here it is! Let me know what you think!)
