So this is a quick one chapter story about Jinx and her little love relationship going on. Yes, this is cannon now. Because of the release of Ekko, my own head cannon has changed dramatically, so I want to write it in before it gets any harder to write.

Oh and yes, in an earlier chapter (cross my heart) I screwed up really bad. I wrote the first few chapters late at night, and during that I forgot a lot of facts that I didn't realize I needed, and I usually didn't have internet while writing. I wrote something about Demacia, where Jinx and Vi were from, and I realize now that it was confirmed they were originally from Zaun. Lore before fancannon. Zaun is correct. A lot of cannon from that chapter is messed up, but I'll try to clear it up in further chapters.
Vi walked down the hallway lined with doors, searching for Jinx's apartment number. She was there to make sure Jinx was ready for her double date at the bar, where Caitlyn was waiting. Vi stopped at Jinx's apartment door, and before she could knock, she heard a feminine voice, at first unrecognizable.
"Look, Jinx, I'm sorry. It's not you, it's just…" Vi made out the voice to be Katarina, and further
listened to the conversation before interrupting.
"Katarina, I thought you said before-"
"I know what I said, but that's the past. I've found someone to be happier with. I'm sorry to break it to you like this. I just hope you can move on to someone better for you." Vi heard footsteps advancing to the door, and quickly leaned against the wall, keeping her head to the ground. Katarina exited Jinx's apartment and walked in the other direction, leaving the building. Vi stopped the door before it closed, and entered, finding Jinx leaning against a worn wooden coffee table.
"Hey there kid. You wanna go for a dri-" Jinx interrupted her sister's statement, and started to laugh nervously.
"What do you mean, I'm fiiinnnneeeeee. Perfectly fine, A okay." She kept up her nervous laughter.
"Jinx, I heard everything. Don't try to hide it." Jinx stopped laughing and her maniacal smile left her face. "You can talk to me. I'm your sister after all, what's family for?" Jinx sat down on a couch next to her coffee table and Vi followed her onto the couch. Vi held Jinx closer to her as Jinx laid her head on Vi's shoulder.
"Being alone again, I just… didn't think this would happen to me."
"Caitlyn and I are here for you. You're never going to be truly alone. Remember what I told you before?" Vi's sister looked up at her, eyes soft. "You must remember. We're family, we always have been. I'm never going to leave you again." Vi pulled out a necklace from inside her shirt, decorated with an old golden bullet, with an X engraved on the side. "As long as you're with me, I'll be by your side. I still keep this bullet with me wherever I go."
Jinx reached up and rubbed the bullet between Vi's fingers. "I can't believe you still have this piece of junk." Jinx chuckled a little as she spoke.
"It's no piece of junk to me. It's what I have of you while I fight in the Rift. Whether a friendly sister rivalry or working together, ganking and acing." Vi smiled and the two started to laugh. Jinx snuggled Vi as she scooted closer.
"It's still not the same though. I still really want someone I can say I love." Jinx's voice was calm but sad. Vi knew she wanted someone to be with badly, being an outcast for years.
"Hey, I can help you out. If I ever find someone I think you might like, I'll tell you, okay? Promise." Vi slipped the necklace back into her shirt and stood up, pulling up Jinx as she did. Vi gave Jinx a hug and walked out the door. "Come by my place later if you want, I'm going to be at the bar for an hour or so but otherwise me and Caitlyn are spending the night in." She looked back at Jinx one more time then closed the door, exiting the apartment building and heading towards the bar where her date was waiting.
"Well, Jinx and Kat wont be coming, it's just you and me." Vi sat next to Caitlyn at the bar.
"Oh? Why's this?" Vi explained her previous eavesdropping and her conversation with Jinx.
"She's pretty beat up about it, hate to see her like this." A glass of champagnes was given to Vi, then for her to chug the contents.
"Wow, I hope she'll be alright." Caitlyn's phone buzzed on the bar top. She checked her smartphone, eyes rolling as she read the message she received.
"What's that about Cupcake?"
"You remember Patch 5.10 from a few days ago? The new champion showed up a few days earlier than release, we have to go to an unscheduled background and weapon check." She pocketed her phone and stood up, grabbing Vi by the arm. "Let's go kid."
"Well, you don't have to act like it's my first day again." Vi pulled on Caitlyn's arm and pulled her back, rolling her back after into her now gauntleted hand. "We're dating now, you know." Vi grinned as Caitlyn laughed a little, then to slap Vi and drag her once more outside of the bar. "I'll just… Pay for the drinks later."
Vi and Caitlyn arrived at the transport checkpoint, fully dressed in their uniforms. They waited for the next train arrival, looking for files on the new champion in their piles and piles of backgrounds and patches about each individual champion.
"Found the files." Caitlyn slid the files across the desk towards Vi. "Read over it, I have to look for 5.10's notes."
Vi opened the file, looking at the contents in disgust. "Crap."
"What's the problem, Vi? Stain the files with coffee again?"
"I wish. Old friend of mine when I was young."
"What's so bad about that?"
"He was in the same gang as me and Michelle."
"Are you going to tell Jinx? I mean, she probably doesn't remember any other members."
"This guy goes by the name Ekko, joined after Jinx's 'insanity spark'. Impatient personality, and from when I last saw him armed with a longsword and a short distance time travel device."
"Alright, since you know so much about him and have a past relation with him, you're the one escorting him here from the train." Caitlyn stopped her search through the files and took Ekko's files from Vi.
"Don't understand why he would join the League. He was pretty content with being able to manipulate everything the way he wants." Vi started to leave as she heard a train whistle. "Besides, time travel turned him into a bit of an asshole when he was a teen."
Vi waked towards the platform, with Caitlyn leaning against the door to the transport checkpoint. The train had come to a full stop and some were already getting off from the train. A boy who looked like he was in his late teens stepped off the train, walking towards the luggage pile. His hair was a pure white and styled into a Mohawk. His skin was dark and he had a white tattoo of an hourglass on his face. Vi sighed and started to walk toward him.
"Ekko." He looked up at Vi's towering figure walking towards him.
"Well, isn't it the stiff herself." Ekko smiled as he threw his suitcase at her. "How's it going, Lyd? See you're still a sellout. Oh, but now you've got a uniform! You know, Zaun is still there, with open doors."
"I'm alright." Vi caught the suitcase with her gauntlets and grabbed Ekko by his belt. "Oh, and don't call me 'Lyd.'"
"Come on, it's better than naming you after a number." Ekko wiggled out of Vi's grasp.
"Don't even think about causing trouble. This isn't the streets you know."
"What's so wrong with that? Seems you cause enough trouble around here after some drinks."
"Seriously?" Vi kept walking towards the checkpoint with Ekko following inches behind.
"You wanna test that? My treat." Ekko started to laugh.
"I'm taken."
"You? You really think I'd date you Lydia?" Ekko's laugh became louder and more hysterical. "If I wanted to date you, I'd just take your sister! Hotter than you by a milestone." He kept laughing as VI turned around.
"At least I'm the one with more than a little package," Vi muttered.
Wait a minute.
They walked into the room where Caitlyn took the luggage and searched for the weapons. "Hey Ekko, why don't you come back to my place? I'm up for the drinks." Vi forced out a laugh. She left her gauntlets with Caitlyn and forced Ekko out the other door without his equipment. "Caitlyn, finish up here for me?"
"Where do you think you're doing?"
"Doing a favor for Lil' Miki!" She yelled back as she dragged Ekko behind her.
"…Miki?" Caitlyn realized what VI meant and carried on checking Ekko's weapons.
Vi smashed through the door to Jinx's apartment. Jinx walked into the room from her bedroom dressed in a long sleeve shirt and sweat pants.
"I told you, Vi. I don't have drugs. What's with the breaking and entering?"
"Do you remember anyone from our gang?"
"Well, one or two that joined after my injury…"
"You remember this guy?" Vi threw Ekko ontoi Jinx's couch. Ekko was dazed, and muttered to
himself "Haven't changed a bit."
Jinx looked at Ekko, trying to rethink her life years ago. "Yeah, I remember the face, but I didn't know him…"
"Okay then!" Vi clapped her hands together. "Date at eight-thirty tonight! Better pick up my sister, kid." Vi left the room, satisfied with herself.
She heard Ekko still speaking from the room as she walked down the hallway. "Uh, could you maybe take me back to the checkpoint? One of the cops has my things."
"Yeah, I have Vi's keycard." Vi stopped, surprised, and checked her pockets. Her keycard and wallet were missing. She charged back to the room, blasting through the door where Ekko was still sprawled on the couch and Jinx was waving Vi's wallet around. Vi ran at Jinx, grabbing the wallet while running her sister over then tripping and smashing through the window. "HEY! THAT'S POLICE BRUTALITY FATHANDS!"
Vi stood up and started walking away from the yard where everyone was starting at her. "Don't worry! I'll fix that later!" Vi brushed the glass off her skin. She walked away satisfied, even if it was a bit extreme. Vi walked off back to the bar, still in her uniform.
My work here, is done.
To be honest, I kind of was tired by the last bit. This was the best I could do with it. Over the next few chapters, I will be trying to fix cannon and lore to have them match up a bit more. So there we have it. Ekko is now a character. Glad I got this worked in.
