TDM EP 11: Goodness gracious! Meatballs of fire!
…
Andrew and Grady were in the garden. Andrew was sitting on a large rock deep in thought.
"Why did I do that?" Andrew said. "I could have voted for Kent and be done with all this nonsense."
Grady was beside him standing on all fours. He was whimpering.
"It certainly wasn't very dapper of me." Andrew said.
Grady grunted.
"I just don't know what I should do." Andrew said.
Grady picked up the book of edict and handed it to Andrew.
Andrew looked at it and sighed.
"No not today." Andrew said. "I'm not in the mood."
Grady whined and sat down.
...
Confessional:
Andrew. "I don't know what I'm to do. I have committed a great sin. How am I to redeem myself?"
...
Felicity, Zeke and Rick were sitting in Rick's room.
"Why did Andrew betray us like that?" Felicity said.
"Kent must have offered him something." Rick said.
"Like what?" Felicity asked.
Rick thought for a moment. "Kent must have threatened him."
"There you go." Felicity said.
"Why does this keep happening?" Zeke asked.
Felicity sighed. "We just have to keep fighting. Keep voting for Kent in every elimination we go to."
"You mean you want to start an alliance?" Zeke asked.
"I thought we already were." Felicity said.
"Fair point." Rick said.
"Then it's agreed." Felicity said.
"Why did you guys join the game?" Zeke asked.
Both Felicity and Rick looked nervous.
"Well," Rick said. "I had some financial trouble and figured this would be the best route to take. Plus it looked fun."
"Fun for who?" Felicity asked.
Rick shrugged.
"I just joined because the million looked like a good deal." Felicity said. "Why'd you join?"
"I don't know." Zeke said. "Like Rick said it looked like fun, plus I could use a million bucks. Pay off some old medical bills."
"Medical bills?" Felicity asked.
"I got into a car wreck a few years back." Zeke said. "Had to go through physical therapy and my insurance was non-existent so I've been working it off for the last two years."
"Dang," Rick said.
"How bad was it?" Felicity asked.
Zeke was reluctant. "I had to stay in the hospital for a month or two. It was no big deal."
"Wow," Felicity said.
...
Confessional:
Zeke. "I lied to them a little, but it was fair since they weren't telling me the full truth. It was kind of obvious, I've learned to tell when people lie to me."
Rick. "Dang that's rough dude. I wonder if he's still affected by the injuries."
Felicity. "I don't know if I should have told the truth or not. If I did would Zeke still like me? I would have told them if Zeke wasn't there, but... I don't know why but I just couldn't tell them."
...
Jasper, Eric, and Herman were walking down the hall toward the gym. Red and Patty just exited the gym and were chatting away walking toward the others.
Jasper and Red stopped in their tracks when they came face to face. The others stopped too.
"Out of my way." Jasper said.
"Make me." Red said.
Jasper Grabbed Red by the throat. Red tried to escape but Jasper was too strong.
"Move," Jasper said.
He let go of Red. Red then ran as fast as he could back down stairs.
"What's your problem?" Patty said.
"He has no right to be on this show." Jasper said. "He is a disgrace to our family."
"Family? You mean you two are related?" Patty asked.
"No," Jasper said. "My mother just married his father. He is no family to me."
"Oh your step brothers." Patty said.
Jasper gave an evil; glare and continued his way to the gym. His friends followed suit not wanting to make eye contact with the gossip.
"Oh this is just juicy." Patty said.
...
Kent was doing laps around the pool in his swim trunks. Jasmine was sitting by the pool in a pool chair wearing nothing but her swim suit. Willis was serving her a drink while she watched Kent.
Kent stopped running around the pool. He walked toward Willis and grabbed a glass of water from the tray he was holding.
"That'll be all Jeeves." Kent said.
"Very good my lord." Willis said. Willis left the two alone.
"Get a good work out?" Jasmine asked.
"Not really," Kent said. "I prefer to run around a much wider area. But I can't get too far from the mansion when the challenge is announced. If I'm late they might automatically eliminate me and I don't intend to lose this game. And I don't want to give those punks on our team the satisfaction."
"Right, they're the ones going home." Jasmine said.
Kent nodded and took a sip of water.
Jasmine set her own drink down and pulled Kent over to her.
"You know, no one's around to watch. We can do whatever I want." Jasmine said and kissed Kent.
...
Confessional:
Kent. "I think making Jasmine an ally was a mistake."
Andrew. *blushing and ashamed* "I wanted to head back to the mansion to find some books in the library to help me out of my situation... then I saw Kent and Jasmine and I decided it was best to wait."
...
Ivan was exploring the space between the rooms he discovered in the last challenge. He was wearing a necklace that illuminated the room.
"Now where oh where could Ethan's room be?" Ivan said to himself.
Ivan grabbed hold of a stud and lifted himself up. The stud snapped under his weight and he slammed his face against the wall.
He grabbed his face in pain. He let go of his support and fell deeper into the foundation.
...
Confessional:
Ivan. *bruised and battered* "Ethan's room must be somewhere on the premises. The guy has to sleep sometime."
...
Devon sat in Carter's room with the rest of Carters alliance minus Patty. Carter and Devon were sitting in armchairs facing each other. Carl, Logan and Becker were sitting on the couch. Becker had Spartacus out.
"I don't know what to think." Devon said. "Patty say's Stan called me a certain word and convinces everyone into thinking so. She tells you then you tell Eric and his gang. And I'm not sure what you told them but I'm sure you've twisted the truth in some way."
"I know this may be hard to believe but were not the villains here." Carter said.
"Then who is?" Devon asked.
"Not Patty," Carter said. "She's just a gossip, she doesn't realize the damage she's causing. Which is why we should vote her out next elimination."
"How does that not make you the villain?" Devon asked.
"Because I'm not trying to be cruel." Carter said. "I'm only trying to play the game and win the money and I'm sorry if I step on any toes along the way. I'm not the villain here, or at least I hope not. I have this alliance and make these moves so I can win the game. I just need to win this money it's very important to me to do so. Why do you play this game."
Devon sighed and shrugged. "I don't know, I just thought it would be fun and if I won a million dollars wouldn't be so bad."
"I have good reason to vote for Patty." Carter said compassionately. "For one she keeps spreading these lies and it's starting to tear this team apart. And we've been able to work so good together I don't want that to happen. Two if we vote her off she may realize how much her gossiping hurts others. And three, because Nick is at the playa waiting for her. They care for each other I can tell. And I feel guilty for voting him off; I thought it would help him."
Carter sighed and shook his head. Becker looked at him with a confused look on his face.
Devon nodded. "Okay you've convinced me. Villain or not I will help vote with you next elimination."
Carter smiled. "Good,"
...
Confessional:
Devon. "I'm not going to join Carter's alliance; no it's against my morals. But I will help him for now."
Becker. "I don't know if Carter lied to Devon or if that was the full and honest to god truth... Carter is a mystery to me."
Carter. *he was leaning back dreamily staring at his green spider necklace.*
Carl. "Wow things are really getting too spicy for the pepper huh?"
Logan. "I don't like how Carter keeps bringing more people into the alliance without my consent. He is not in charge of this alliance. I am!"
...
The contestants were gathered at the dining room. To their surprise the room was empty. The table where they had their meals was missing.
"What the hell were we robbed?" Felicity asked.
"No I'm afraid not." Ethan said as he entered the room. "It's time for your next challenge."
Large round holes opened up in the kitchens floor. From the holes tables covered in platters and trays of food appeared. There were all kinds of different cakes and pies and meats and soups and salads.
"Today the teams will be having a food fight." Ethan said.
Some of the more adventurous and sporty of the team cheered while the others stayed silent.
"The rules are incredible simple." Ethan said. "Even a toddler could follow them. All you do if throw food at the rivaling teams members. Whichever team loses all of its members loses the challenge and must head straight to elimination."
"Then let's get started!" Eric said.
"Hold your horses." Ethan said. "There's a catch."
"As always." Devon remarked.
"The food here has been laced with small traces with chloroform." Ethan said. "Now normally it takes five minutes for chloroform fumes to take effect. But the effect speeds up depending on the dosage. So the more food that hits you and covers you the more likely you are to fall asleep. And if you fall asleep you're out of the challenge. And like I said the first team to lose all its members, loses."
"Oh don't worry, we won't." Kent said and glared at his team.
"That's the spirit!" Ethan said.
...
The two teams stood at opposite sides of the room ready to begin the challenge.
"Go!" Ethan said.
The teams charged. Kent rushed to one of the circular tables and collected an armful of large meatballs and started throwing. The rest of his team tipped over one of the long rectangular tables to use as a shield.
Blue team did the same but instead they split up and tipped over a couple circular tables to use as shields.
The food fight ensued.
"Any plans?" Devon asked Carter.
"Run and throw." Carter said. "A moving target is harder to hit."
"On it." Devon said. He picked up a glob of mashed potatoes. He threw it and it struck the Red teams shield.
Eric, Jasper and Herman threw food from behind their shield. Eric picked up a turkey and threw it. It struck Grady in the side of the head.
Grady growled. He grabbed a nearby pie and threw it.
"Duck!" Eric said. He and Jasper ducked behind the table and Herman stuck his head up.
"Where?" Herman said.
He was struck in the face by the pie. He then toppled over and snored.
"That was quick." Jasper said.
...
Confessional:
Herman. "Dude I feel bad for being taken out of the challenge so easy. I feel like I let my team down."
Eric. "Herman fell asleep as soon as the food hit him face. I guess it's like a video game. Arms and legs get less damage. Torso's medium and a head shot is an instant kill."
...
Zeke and Felicity took cover behind the table as food flew over their heads.
"Dang, now I know why people with shellshock are so paranoid." Zeke said.
"We're going to have to do something if we want to survive this challenge." Felicity said.
"Like what?" Zeke asked.
Felicity thought for a moment. Kent rushed past them throwing his meat balls and dodging the other teams ammo.
"Why the hell are you guys lying about?" Kent said sternly as he continued his assault.
"Trying to figure out how to get out of here alive." Felicity said.
"Just throw and run." Kent said. "It's not rocket science."
"We need a strategy so we don't lose the challenge." Felicity snapped.
"Well you can sit on your asses all you like while I go and win this thing." Kent said. He threw a meat ball and it hit Becker in the shoulder.
"Man down man down!" Becker said.
...
Confessional:
Kent. "Felicity's a fiery little beast. That's okay in the bed room but terrible during the big game. Maybe I should get rid of that little red head friend of hers. That'll show her whose boss."
...
"Man that dude throws hard." Becker said as he rubbed his shoulder.
"Just don't get hit again." Logan said. He threw a large bowl of pudding and it hit Rick in the chest.
Red was standing behind him throwing Brownies like ninja stars. One of the brownies hit Andrew in the mouth and he ate it. Andrew faltered and fell to the ground.
"Andrew's out!" Ethan announced.
Patty was with the group curled up behind the table.
"I don't like this." Patty said.
"Suck it up!" Logan said. He threw a sandwich which hit Jasmine in the back of the head.
He looked down and saw Patty quivering in fear.
"Quit your whining." Logan said. He picked up Patty by the back of her shirt and lifted her up. "Fight!"
Patty was then pelted by food stuffs. She fell over and fell asleep.
"I hate you all so much." Logan said.
...
Ivan and Rick were stuck behind one of the tables while Eric and Jasper assaulted them.
"This is crazy!" Rick said.
"This is my kind of game." Ivan said.
Ivan started pulling out various bits of tech out of his coat pockets. He then pulled a small case from his back pocket. He opened the case and inside was a multitude of small tools.
"What are you doing?" Rick asked.
"Giving us an advantage." Ivan said.
Eric and Jasper stopped throwing food and waited for their targets to pop their heads up.
"Remember aim for their faces." Eric said holding up a wad of spaghetti.
"Right," Jasper nodded, holding a cinnamon roll.
Eric and Jasper maneuvered their way over to Rick and Ivan while also avoiding the food that was being flung by other contestants.
They stepped closer to their victim's hidey hole when Ivan popped up holding what looked like a crudely made rocket launcher with pies as ammo.
"Eat pie scumbags!" Ivan screamed. He fired the launched and a struck Jasper right in the chest. The velocity of the pie flung him backwards into another table and knocked him out.
"Hey!" Eric responded. "No fair!"
"All's fair in love and war." Ivan said.
"There's no rule against improvising." Ethan said standing in the middle of the room somehow untouched by the mayhem.
"Oh crap," Eric said.
Ivan fired another shot and Eric skillfully dodged it.
Eric ran across the dining room dodging Ivan's projectiles. Eric avoided every pie thrown at him. Ivan's pie missed him and instead hit a lamp, a plant, Grady's ass, nearly hit Ethan but Willis protected him, Red which knocked him out of the challenge and Jasmine who was also taken out of the challenge.
"Friendly fire!" Felicity yelled.
Eric tripped on a pat of butter and fell to the floor. He turned around and Ivan was on top of him. He had the barrel of his cannon pointed right at him.
Ivan had a sadistic smile on his face. "Good night, sweet prince." Ivan said. Eric closed his eyes as Ivan pulled the trigger.
But nothing happened. Eric opened his eyes and Ivan turned his gun around and looked down the barrel.
"Huh, must be jammed." Ivan said.
He smacked the side of the gun and ended up shooting a pie into his own face, knocking him out.
Eric sighed in relief.
But he wasn't safe for long. Now standing over him was Kent with a bowl of maroon colored punch. Kent looked down on him with a scowl. Eric looked at him in fear. Kent poured the punch on Eric's head and in a matter of seconds he was asleep.
"Ooh things are really heating up now!" Ethan said.
...
Grady was roaming around the dining room with sausages in hand. He was sniffing about trying to locate the rivaling team.
Suddenly he was struck by a large turkey and knocked out cold.
"Direct hit!" Carter said.
"Way to go man!" Becker said as he patted Devon's back.
"We haven't won yet." Devon said.
"He's right," Carter said. "We're only in the lead by one." He paused for a moment and listened.
"The hell is that screaming?" Carl asked.
On the other side of the dining room Kent was yelling at the remaining members of his team.
"You're all a bunch a weak quitters!" Kent yelled. "Can't you do anything right?!"
"Oh so sorry your royal highness." Felicity said with a tinge of sarcasm. "We apologize for being human and not win every single thing that has no real consequence even if we lose."
"You could get voted off!" Kent replied.
"And get sent to a fabulous island resort. Oh the humanity!" Felicity said.
"Fine you don't want to win that's your problem." Kent said. "But I'm a winner and winning is in my blood."
Kent stood up from behind the table his team was ducking behind and ran across the room. He ran past Grady and picked up the sausages.
"Uh guys?" Carl said peeking out from his teams shield. "We've got trouble."
Devon, Becker, Carter and Logan looked over the table and saw Kent charging towards them with blood and fire in his eyes.
"...crap." Carter said.
Kent pulled out a meat link and slung it at the team. It struck Becker right in his mouth hole and instantly knocked him out.
"Scatter!" Carl screamed.
"No we have to stick together!" Carter said. "We can't just panic and run off like a bunch of..."
His speech was cut short when Kent tackled him the floor and force fed him.
Devon, Logan and Carl scattered.
"We need to make a plan of action." Devon said to the others.
Carl and Logan nodded in agreement. Then Logan was struck in the back of the head and knocked out.
"Never mind just run!" Devon said.
They ran past Ethan who was entertained by this turn of events.
"Shouldn't we fight back?" Carl asked.
"Probably," Devon said.
They both looked behind themselves and saw a half-crazed Kent catching up behind them. Foam dripped from his mouth and murder was in his eyes.
"Screw that." Carl said.
Kent leapt at the two remaining Blue team members and tackled them to the ground. He then proceeded to stuff sausages in their mouths until they passed out.
"Red team wins the challenge!" Ethan announced.
"Holy crap!" Zeke exclaimed
...
Confessional:
Kent. *he scoffs* "I hope my team appreciates the win I gave them."
Felicity. "Is it just me or is Kent nuts?"
Carl. "Wow I can't believe I survived that challenge for so long! I'm really starting to get the hang of this game!"
Devon. "Well that's a bummer. Now we have to vote someone off. I wonder what dirt Patty has dug up on our friends."
...
Patty and Devon were standing in the library.
"You'll never guess what I found out!" Patty said.
Devon rolled his eyes. "I can't wait."
"Red and Jasper are step brothers!" Patty said. "Do you know what that means?!"
"Their parent's art married?" Devon said.
"No! It means they're a threat!" Patty said. "They're probably talking right now on who their going to vote for tonight!"
...
Jasper walks up to Red in a hallway.
"I hate you and you're going home." Jasper said.
...
"Patty I doubt..." Devon started to say.
"I'm going to tell everyone else to vote for one of them. Probably Red!" Patty said.
She zoomed off without another word. Devon stood there and sighed.
...
Carter, Devon, Carl, Logan and Becker were gathered in one of the bedrooms.
"She's crazy." Devon said. "Now she's going around telling people Jasper and Red are in an alliance."
"They are?" Becker asked, surprised.
"No it's just one of Patty's lies." Carter said. "I figured since day one Jasper and Red had a relationship outside of the game but I doubt they're on friendly terms."
"What are we going to do?" Carl asked.
"Vote for Patty obviously." Carter said. "You saw what she did. She spread a nasty rumor and got everyone to vote for who she wanted gone. She's a threat in this game and needs to leave."
"Right," Becker said.
...
Confessional:
Carter. "Well, things are about to get messy quick if Patty survives the night."
Devon. "I hate strategizing. I would rather just play the game. I don't know why, but my strong sense in justice wants to put this issue to rest."
Logan. "Once again I am put in the back row of Carter's alliance meeting. But this time it will be the last."
Becker. "I don't know. Patty doesn't seem all that bad. And if Red and Jasper are working together they could be a danger, both physically and mentally. If I took them both out I could get farther in the game. *sigh* I hate this, I really do."
...
Patty, Eric and Herman were in the gym discussing what was going to happen.
"So you want us to vote for Red?" Eric said.
"Yes," Patty said. "Don't you get it? He and Jasper are in cahoots! If they get the chance they'll take control of the game!"
"I have my doubt about that." Herman said.
"Just trust me. I was right about Stan wasn't I?" Patty said.
Eric and Herman were silent. Patty smiled smugly and left the room, satisfied.
"I don't trust her." Eric said.
"I don't blame you." Herman said.
...
Devon caught up with Red in the garden.
"Dude I need to ask you something." Devon said.
"What's up dude?" Red asked.
"Patty is planning on eliminating you tonight." Devon said.
"What!? Why!?" Red asked.
"She thinks you and Jasper have an alliance." Devon said.
"But... but... but Jasper hates me." Red said. A look of utter panic was on his face. "I can't go home yet I have to win!"
"Don't worry." Devon said. "I'm not letting you go home."
...
Jasper was walking down one of the mansions many hallways when he was met by Becker and Carl.
"We need to talk." Becker said.
"What about?" Jasper asked.
"About eliminating red tonight." Becker said.
Jasper looked at him and smiled. "I'm listening."
...
Confessional:
Carl. "I know Becker says that it would be better this way but honestly i think this is a bad idea."
...
Carter was all alone in his room when there came a knock on his door. He opened it and standing there was Patty.
"Hey listen we need to talk." Patty said anxiously.
"You want us to vote for Red tonight." Carter said.
"Yeah... how..."
"Devon told us." Carter said.
"Okay so are you..."
"We're going along with you." Carter said.
"Okay, good. See you tonight!" Patty said and walked away.
...
Confessional:
Patty. "Well that was easy."
Carter. "I wasn't exactly lying. I did say we were going with her..."
...
The remaining members of Blue team were sitting in the now clean dining room. Ethan stood at the end of the table looking at them with a conceited smile.
"Well, well." Ethan said. "I must say I was hoping I would see you here again for a while. Now I'm not supposed to take sides but I was really hoping you make it. But alas, here we go again another day another elimination. Well, you know the drill cast your vote in the booth and wait for the results."
Patty stood up first and headed straight for the booth. Before she went in she turned her head toward Red. She smiled and entered the booth.
...
Later Ethan reentered the dining room with the results in his hand and Ed by his side with the immunity symbols.
"Well this is certainly an interesting turn of events." Ethan said. "But not too surprising. Those among the immune are...

Ed came by them and placed their meals before them.

Not surprisingly Red and Patty were the last two. Red was nervous and Patty was surprised.
"You two have received the most votes." Ethan said. "One of you is going home."
Red looked scared and Patty was enraged.
"Not going home tonight is...

"Red!"
Ed came by with his meal.
Patty looked shocked.
"Patty you are the weakest link. Good bye." Ethan said.
Patty huffed angrily in response.
...
Patty stood on the front steps with her luggage. Her Ex-team was there to see her off.
"I hope you're happy." Patty said. "You just handed the game to the games strongest alliance."
"You have no idea." Carter said and shook his head.
The Limo of losers came around and Patty entered it.
The limo left and the remaining members of Blue team went into the mansion to get some well earned rest.
"Was that dramatic enough for you?" Ethan asked the camera. "Well just stay tuned tomorrow for more drama here on...

Carter. "This is too easy. Almost too easy. But I mustn't look a gift horse in the mouth. I'll take this easy vote and prepare myself for the difficult part of the game." (Patty)

Jasper. "Finally I have numbers on my side. I'll finally be able to get rid of that idiot." (Red)

Authors note
Patty was an interesting character. She went around telling lie believing they were the ultimate truth and ended up turning the most peaceful team on the show into a paranoid wasp nest that won't even trust their own asses not to sting them. For the most part she was a throw away character. Cannon fodder. But as I worked on the story I discovered that blue team is far too calm. I needed someone to cause some, well, drama and Patty fit the bill.
College is becoming a full time thing in my life I no longer even have weekends to myself. So it makes writing difficult. Which sucks because my new job involves writing. I recently started writing articles for websites. Nothing been posted yet because I haven't finished any articles. This is probably the only writing I got done in two months!
I hope you enjoyed reading this story. I know I enjoyed writing it. Lots of love.
