Shyanne's Rage and Chandasea's worry

Short Chapter I know, but I really like the way I'm ending this one. Anyways Another chapter will be up soon. Thanks again for reading.

Her bed indented slightly as she slept. At the moment, she didn't feel the bed move and her two friends glanced at each other worriedly. Shyanne shrugged at the two-girl's silent conversation, before allowing Chandasea to jump onto the bed. It took a moment, but Mercy did open her eyes, in a slow and blank stare. There was no shock and no emotion in side. She seemed indifferent to see her friends, as she sat up in her bed.

"Hey Mercy, long time no see." Chan muttered kissing Mercy's forehead.

"What?" Mercy questioned rubbing her eyes.

"Mercy, darling, you've been here for a week." Shy's worry was obvious. "Mr. Boss-man sent me here to see how you're holding up. Everyone is worried about you at work."

"A week," Mercy questioned, "I thought I've been asleep for a few hours, that's how it feels at least."

"We brought your favorite," Chan smiled. "Pizza and Rocky Road ice cream."

"We also brought your favorite movies." Shyanne continued the red head thought. "Since we don't need to work tomorrow, we thought it would be great to have a movie night, and talk. Which would you like to start with?"

"Let's eat and watch a movie, and then talk."

"Ok, since you really don't have a favorite food, we brought chicken wings, ice cream, salad, and pizza." Chan muttered as they walked into the living room.

"Yum, I'm starved." Mercy sighed. "Shy, would you like to choose the first movie?"

"Already done, we are watching, The Nightmare before Christmas."

The three girls sang along with the movie, as they munched on the fatty foods. Mercy seemed to be back to her old self, but her two friends could feel her pain. When the movie came to its end, Mercedes started cleaning the small mess. It was something to keep her busy, and avoid conversation.

"So, let's talk," Chan cheered sitting on the back of the couch.

"I don't want to."

"Too bad, if I had to talk to you through my disasters you have to do the same." Shyanne muttered.

"Yeah, remember you helped me when I was bulimic? You made me go to therapy, and the both of you bothered me, until I got better. Give us the chance to be there for you." Chan breathed.

"Fine," Mercedes sighed. "What do you want to talk about?"

"Tell us, what is going on," Shyanne touched her friend's shoulder, "everything that's going on."

"I'm moving back in with my mother." Mercy muttered quietly. "As I've mentioned before, mother can no longer take care of herself, and someone needs to do the funeral arrangements."

"How long will you be gone this time?" Chan questioned.

"I don't know, mother needs someone to take care of her, so that needs to be taken into consideration, and I wouldn't want to move her over here. I fear such a move would accelerate her deterioration. "

"How do you feel?"

A rather large lump formed in her throat, as tears rushed to her eyes, and the regret pulsing through her veins. She refused to break down, not in front of them, not right now at least. Moments later she forced her gaze away. She was losing her battle with her emotions. Both her friends watched her avoid their gaze. They felt as though they should be embarrassed, after all they are butting into her private life, but they didn't, they loved her too much to feel embarrassed.

"I-I feel, so alone. Almost like my world is crumbling from beneath me. Like I am nothing, nothing, but the destruction of my own life, and the destruction of everyone around me" Mercy sobbed quietly. "I'm so alone; I'm losing everything dear to me."

"Aw sweetie," Chan said hugging Mercy close.

"You have Chandasea, Shizuo, Celty, Izaya, and I, still." Shyanne continued hugging the other two. "And for the time being, you still have your mother."

Hearing her friends misguided rambling, Mercedes sobs turned violent and uncontrollable. Her friends hugged her tighter as their bodies shook with hers. They had no idea what made the situation worse, but they needed to fix it soon.

"What's wrong, Mercy?"

"H-he's gone," was all she could say.

"We know darling, but it's ok, we will help you through it."

"No, Izaya's gone."

Chandasea glanced at Shyanne, her face contorted into an angry mask. There was no way Izaya was going to survive Shyanne's rage. Only for a moment, Chandasea worried for the mischievous man, but that soon faded away. After all, he hurt their best friend, and therefore didn't deserve her worry, but for the moment she wasn't sure if he deserved Shyanne's wrath.

"Darling, I know this hurts, but, how did he leave?"

"His pawn got too dull for his taste." Mercy breathed a sigh. "But it's all in the past. We should go to sleep."

The two girls sighed, Shyanne was about ready to murder someone and Chandasea just wanted to make her friend happy again. Chan couldn't help Mercy and police Shyanne at the same time, so she did the best thing she could think of.

"Ok, shy, why don't you go change, and I'll talk to Mercy."

"Fine, but when I get my hands on that bastard, I'll throttle him."

When Shyanne walked out of the room Chan faced her quiet friend, whom started cleaning the house, as a distraction. They had poured salt in the morning woman's wounds, and it was time for damage control.

"Mercy, I'm going to lay down the ground rules for when you leave town. They are not up for discussion, ok."

Mercy nodded, "ok."

"Good, first rule, you must call us at least once a day. Two, either we will visit you, or you will visit us, at least once a month, and lastly, if you ever need to talk, or need thing, you will call one of us."

As she spoke Chan's voice cracked and tears outlined her eyes. The three girls were virtually a family, and when one was in pain, all of them were.

"Okay," Mercy sighed, forcing a pained smile onto her face.

"I'll finish cleaning, why don't you go back to bed? You look exhausted."

"Thanks Channy, I owe you one. Goodnight."

"Night," Channy almost whispered.

She wasn't completely sure whether her friend heard her or not, but she didn't care at the moment. She needed to find a way to fix this, and fix it fast. There was this nagging feeling that things were going to get worse fast. Shyanne walked back into the room, still fuming.

"God Shy, why are you so angry, you were the one, who wanted them to break up," Chan couldn't control her annoyed growl.

"Well, yeah, but I didn't want him to be such a dick about it." The young blond shot back. "Plus you weren't exactly all sun shine and rainbows about their relationship either."

"Yes, but I wasn't purposely trying to break them up, I was genuinely happy she was happy." Chan sighed, "Any ways, she's going to leave soon for her mother's again, and I've laid down some ground rules for her."

"O, what were they?" Shy questioned, eagerly sitting near the red head.

"She will call us once a day, we will visit monthly, and she will talk to us if she needs anything."

"That sounds great; things are going to be hard on her." Shyanne frowned, glancing to her friend's room. "I'm worried about her; do you think I should talk to Izaya?"

"And make things worse, don't waste your breath." Chandasea barked, "Anyways, it wouldn't make sense for us to beg him to come back, when he so obviously wanted to get away. What we need to do is be here for her when she needs us, not blaming ourselves for things already done."

They both sighed, unsure what to in the immediate situation. A small creak in the background alerted them to the cameras around the house. A sudden chill forced its way don't their spines, even though they knew better, they still felt like they were being watched.

"We are going to have to get rid of the cameras while she's gone." Shyanne breathed.

"Agreed, so what did your boss say about Mercy's situation?"

"What else can he do? He's going to email her all her work while she's gone." Shy muttered stretching her muscles. "Now, we need to go to bed, because we still need to go to work tomorrow."

"Yeah, I'll wake up early to clean the house." Chan whispered.

The next morning seemed much more melancholy than the day before. Both Shyanne and Chan allowed Mercedes to sleep in, while they cleaned up the apartment. Even though Mercy was a few hours' flight away from home, there were many plans that needed to be made as soon as possible, and she had a lot of packing to do. Once the house was cleaned, Shyanne jumped into the shower, allowing Chan some time to think.

Instead of forcing her friend to make plans by herself, Chan started working on getting Mercy to her mother. By the time Shy walked out, Chan had already set up a flight and driver. Mercy was already packed for the by the time they needed to leave for her flight.
