I am sorry I am going to take long in updating from now on... It's just that school has piled up on me. Umm... Kaname doesn't have his own house because if he did, people would easily find him especially when it's related to his career in acting. If he lives in his 'lover's' house, having to jump into other relationships now and then, he can't easily be barged into by the media or what not. So basically it's like he has no exact location of where he be found. Well, that is my explanation. Please savor this 8th chapter of "Career, Love, and Family" as long as you can until my next update. Once again, please don't stop reading this story...

He did not expect that. He just found out that vampires existed in this world and he even found out that the man he found on that snowy-night, the man he took in, the man who proposed the idea of being his lover... he enumerated everything in his mind without realizing there was a small blush that glowed on his cheeks... was a pure blood.

"Hello? Earth to Zero?" Rima waved a hand in front of the silverette's face. They were having such an interesting conversation when he suddenly stared off into space as he pointed to each of his fingers. 'Is he counting or something?' Rima thought, still with a blank face.

"Oh, sorry." Zero heaved a sigh, snapping back to reality. "So... Kaname's a pure blood huh?" He asked no one in particular.

"Yep. Do you know each other?" The strawberry-blonde asked, chewing on a stick of pocky again.

"Well..." Before Zero could explain himself he heard his name being called.

"Zero!"

The silverette turned to the sound of Kaname's voice and footsteps of a group of people rushing towards him. Oh splendid, he'd see Akatsuki's face again.

The silverette stood up as he was soon enough being stared into, eye to eye, by the worried brunette. Their eyes locked for who knows how long until Takuma had to separate the two and stay on Zero's side for the moment.

"Alright alright. Kaname, I'm sure Zero is fine." Takuma reassured the brunette even though ho one was really convinced. Just a little while ago did every one in the conference room took a whiff at the "all-too-familiar" scent of salt in the air. Vampires don't shed tears a lot and only a human can get emotional quickly. So... there was no doubt that Zero had cried a while ago.

"No, he wasn't!" Kaname stared at the ginger-haired male behind him, along with the blonde noble Hanabusa. "Akatsuki, you were the cause of his break down." Kaname blurted out. He can feel his anger boiling inside of him, his pure blood powers getting unstable. Everyone had to keep a little distance away from the brunette because the part of the floor which he's standing on was cracking up.

"With all due respect Lord Kuran, I had a reason." To this, everyone's ears focused to the ginger-haired male.

'He had a reason?' Zero's eyes went wide at this.

-flashback- O_O A flashback about the reason Akatsuki asked Zero to break up with him!

'Love...' He finally knew what that feeling felt like...

Chirp...chirp chirp...

Akatsuki remembered the day when he was walking around, intending to go home from a long day of business works and transactions, when something caught his eye.

-"Ah?" He turned his head to see a silver-headed male sitting on a bench with a dark cloud above his head. (You know what I mean by dark cloud right? :3)

'What's up with that guy? Eh?' The tan shook his head. He asked himself, since when did he become a nosy person to strangers? Of course the stranger with silver hair was just another average person so... why did Akatsuki feel a magnetic pull, urging him to go and say something to the silverette? 'Hmph.' His feet started walking by themselves.

He was just a few feet away when the silverette suddenly stood up and turned. Later did they realize that they were staring into each others' eyes for a second there. Dark-brownish-orange eyes stared into teary lavender ones, eyes wide at the captivating sight. -

The tan heaved a sigh with a smile. Currently, he was away from his lover because he had to visit his father for 'urgent matters'. That's what he said.

... time skip ...

Standing by the gates of his father's humble abode... well... not really... more like mansion, Akatsuki spoke into the speaker on the gate's pillar.

"Otou-san, it's me." He stated before the gates were opened automatically. 'Hmm...' He proceeded to the doorstep of his father's mansion and knocked twice before the door opened, revealing an older version of the ginger-haired male.

"Ah, my son, welcome home." Akatsuki's father greeted his son with a smile before ushering him inside.

Akatsuki, who was being led into the guest room by his father, couldn't help but wonder why his father changed their home so much. The last memory he had was when he was 8 years old (currently 24) when almost everything was a bright and warm color, but now, it's dull.

"You'll be occupying this room while you're here son." The tan was snapped back into reality when his father said this. "We will discuss the 'urgent matters' within the week, so until then, make yourself at home." His father was acting weird Akatsuki thought.

"Works for me." With that, the tan went inside his room, bringing his small travel bag with him.

...

The sound of shuffling of clothes can be heard in the guest room Akatsuki was staying in. The said tan was actually trying to find something from his traveler's bag. "Man, where is it?" He thought aloud, still shuffling through his bag. He had scattered his clothes around the place and he didn't even bother if they were all wrinkled and disheveled. The thing he was trying to find in his bag was way more important.

"Ah?" Then Akatsuki finally saw it! It was his phone.

Gomenasai ne... min'na. I'll continue the flash back in the next chapter. I'm sorry for not updating in a LONG time. Let's say... projects piled up on me and now, even though it's already Christmas Vacation, I was diagnosed with Acute Sinusitis which is pretty bad... so... I hope you'll still read the rest of this story which is still coming... umm... okay then. Please pray for my recovery! onegaishimasu!
