"She daydreams a lot," my teacher used to say. Charlie would look down at me, a little worried. I was eight. I didn't care. I tuned them out, thought about what it'd be like to fly, instead.
"She doesn't concentrate in class," my teachers used to say. I was seventeen. By then I cared a little more. So did Charlie. I tuned out his lectures. The conversation between the guy and the girl in my mind was much more interesting.
Now, I'm twenty-five.
"I finished it," I tell him. My own guy. My fellow daydreamer.
Edward smiles. "Let me read?"
