Clary decided it was fine for her to get up after waiting for five hours. She curled out if her crouching position and walked along the wooden floor, moving down the corridor into a vacant room. It wasn't large, with dark colored walls and a Persian rug spread across the floor.
It was odd that the light was turned on, but Clary shrugged and turned around anyway. Every step, every movement of her arm, a turn of her neck, didn't feel like herself. She felt like she was inside someone else's body, her blood wasn't running through her veins. It caused her to move in front of a dusty mirror next to a dimmed lamp along the corridor.
She stumbled back in shock, her eyes were black. Completely black. A hollow black pit just like her brothers. Her hair was also different, white streaks embedded from her scalp to her ends. She moved her slender hands to her hair. She looked down at her chest where the blood red parabatai rune was embedded.
'What's happening to me?' She thought.
"Ohhh Claryy." A girls voice singsonged, Clary spun her heard around instantly, but saw no one.
"Who's there?" Clary said under her breath, then turned back to the mirror where she saw the reflection of the Seelie Queen.
"Seelie?" Clary knitted her eyebrows as she turned around slowly.
"Nice hairdo, fits you perfectly." The Seelie Queen laughed, it was unlike any other Clary had heard before. It sent chills up Clary's spine instantly.
"What are you doing here?" Clary asked, her breath shortening.
"Just to finish some..." The Queen raised up her hand and Clary eyes widened when she saw a glimmering knife in the Queens palms. "Unfinished business."
Clary started to back away slowly, looking for anything she could to defend herself. Her eyes set on a showcase sword above the fireplace. She moved to it slowly.
"Don't." Clary murmured, and the Seelie Queen chuckled again, shaking her head then charging for Clary. She ran now, smashing the glass with her cut hand, pulling out the long sword. It was much sharper than Clary expected, slicing the Seelie Queens face as Clary swirled the sword around. The Seelie Queen grunted, then plunged the knife forward. Clary dodged it quickly, then moved away from the Queen.
"Don't make me do this. Please." Clary begged, she didn't want to kill her, not because she liked her, but because faeries looked somewhat like a human.
"Fight. But you will never win." The Seelie Queen smiled, and dropped the knife, grabbing a vase and swinging it at Clary's head. It hit her surprisingly, blood blooming in her face. Clary stumbled back, shocked at the hit.
It was a hard blow, and it sent Clary into a dizzy sensation. It sent her stumbling, but she suddenly realized what was happening, and just as she was about to plunge the sword into the Seelie Queens heart, Something else hit Clary's head, it felt like another vase, and this sent her to the ground.
The Queen grabbed the knife and pinned down Clary.
"Why?" Was all Clary could choke out.
"Because your brother loves you and not me."
Then she brought down the sword into Clary's heart. A world of blackness drowned Clary as her mind, her soul, slipped away from her.
Sebastian and Lilith reached Sun Life Stadium in South Florida, Sebastian used glamour and Lilith had some tricks up her sleeve. Sebastian and the other dark Shadowhunters had been meeting here for the last week. Conversing... Great, great plans.
Sebastian used the opening rune to unlock the chains on the gate doors. He opened them, walking the same way the football players did. He walked out on the field, and immediately saw a young girl in the grasp of his Shadowhunters. There was many of them, about four dozen all scattered on the field. Conversing about their 'plans.'
She was much stronger than Sebastian expected, for she was small, with dark hair and her ends highlighted. She had tanner skin than the other girl being held. This girl was young as well, with fair skin and blond-brown hair. Then another taller boy with auburn curly hair stood, his face bloody and bruised.
Sebastian clapped his hands in delight.
"Job well done," Sebastian moved over to the girl to the dark hair and grabbed her arm. "Now what's your name Shadowhunter girl?"
She instantly looked up at him with her dark brown eyes. "Got to hell!" She spat in his face, and Sebastian jerked his head back. Then raised his backhand and slapped her across the face.
She touched her face and slapped him back with her other hand, then kicked him in the stomach, Sebastian doubled over as the girl ran. She was barely fourteen and could do this.
Just as a Shadowhunter caught her by the arm and restrained her, raising a blade to pierce her in her heart.
"No!" Sebastian yelled, as he walked over to her. "She's a useful pretty one, get the Infernal Cup someone."
A woman with blond hair and hazel eyes handed Sebastian the cup and Lilith stepped foward, slitting her palm with a knife and her blood pouring into the Cup. Sebastian forced the cup into the girls mouth, and she choked on it. The Shadowhunter holding her let her go as the girl fell to the floor and passed out.
"Bring me the other one." Sebastian demanded, and the other girl was brought to him.
"They'll kill you. I promise." The girl murmured.
"Maybe they will, but the real you won't be able to see it." He brought the cup to her lips.
"Your sister. Your sister will bring you to your death." She said darkly. Sebastian simply shook his head and choked the girl with Lilith's blood and she fell to the floor.
The other boy didn't even bother to fight or say a word. He let Sebastian turn him, and after several hours the three kids awoken. Their eyes as dark as night.
Sebastian chuckled and smiled.
"Welcome to the family." He grinned as they looked around.
"Now let's test them." Sebastian gestured to a mundane woman with shackles on her wrist. He moved in front of the dark haired, tan girl.
"Kill her." He pointed at the mundane and the girl instantly moved, pulling out her seraph blade out of her gear and slitting the girls throat in less than half a second and sliding her sword back into its holder.
"Great." Said Sebastian, then all of a sudden felt a sharp pain in his chest, and blood started to pour out on his gray shirt.
"Clary?" Was the last words that slipped out of his mouth before he fell into the grass and darkness clouded him.
Alec knocked on Magnus's door heavily, he was the only person he could go to right now, he had seen no sign of Jace, Simon, Isabelle, Maryse, or Robert.
They probably fled in the fire somehow, but there was no way the Institute could be burned down without any big trouble lurking. He swallowed as the door was opened and Magnus stood there, and Alec was shocked when he saw no glitter or flashy clothing, just jeans and a t-shirt.
"Listen Alec, if your here to-"
"Magnus, I'm not here about us," Alec said. "I need a portal to Idris."
"Why?" Magnus inquired, opening the door wider to let Alec in. He stepped in as Magnus closed the door behind him.
"The Institute," Alec began."The Insitute was burned down. That's never happened before and I don't feel any connection to Jace with my parabatai rune. I need to do a tracking spell, and if that doesn't work I need a portal to Idris."
Magnus gave Alec an odd glare with his cat eyes, and nodded in agreement.
"Sha'll we begin?"
"We haven't really kept in contact with the Lightwoods. I wonder if they're alright." Maia said as her and Jordan entered his apartment. The last couple of days have been fairly normal for the both of them, Jordan hadn't been contacted by the Praetor Lupus either. Everything seemed just fine.
"They're Shadowhunters. I'm sure they're living the life." Jordan set his jacket down and opened the fridge door.
"But," Maia started. "Usually someone would've contacted us by now, don't you think?"
"Why do you worry so much Maia? I'm sure they're in perfect condition." Jordan set down his beer and neared Maia, when she held up a finger to gesture for him to stop moving.
"I'm going to call Simon." Maia pulled out her phone and Jordan let out an exasperated groan. The phone went straight to voicemail and Maia's eyebrows knitted in confusion.
"He always answers. Not unless something is wrong." Maia called again, but still now answer. Then she tried Clary, Isabelle, Alec and Jace. But none of them answered.
"Okay, something's wrong, I'm going to the Luke's house, maybe Clary is there." Maia grabbed Jordan's keys and gestured for him to come. Jordan rolled his eyes as he grabbed his jacket and walked out the door with her.
Jocelyn kept telling herself that Clary was at the Institute for the past couple of days, and didn't have the gust to check it out. Because what if she's not there? She hasn't been answering her phone... But maybe that's because she's been too busy helping Jace with the Heavenly Fire in him. That has to be why. She's alright... She's alright...
But she knew deep down something was wrong. It twisted her gut around and around.
"Jocelyn, are you alright?" Luke's voice was in the darkness as Jocelyn hunched over the sink in the kitchen.
"I'm fine," said Jocelyn, no... She was not alright. "Luke. Something his wrong. I know it. I'm going to the Institute."
"What? Where did you get that conclusion?" Luke asked, coming into the light now.
"I just know." Jocelyn was about to move, but she heard a sudden knock. Luke sighed and opened the door, Maia and Jordan stood at the door, soaked from the rain.
"Maia, Jordan. What brings you here?" Like inquired, filling the doorway.
"Looking for Clary," asked Maia. "Is she here?"
"No. She's been at the institute. Why?"
"Because we've been calling all of them, and none of them will answer." Maia's expression transformed to a worried one.
"Let's get to the Institute," Jocelyn slipped on her coat. "Now."
"Where in Florida?" Simon stared down at the girl.
"South Florida. That's all I know. Somewhere... I think it starts with a M." She spoke, and Miami instantly appeared in Jace's head. He heard of the city before but had never gone there. He felt a surge of adrenaline rush through him as he thought of killing Sebastian when he least expected it.
Clary was there, he missed Clary more than anything he could describe.
"Let's go to Magnus. We have to get a portal like now." Isabelle uttered. Her voice small but yet demanding.
"She's right. Let's go," Simon started to walk out the room when he stopped and spun around. "Question. Where did the Seelie Queen go?"
Jace hadn't realized she was gone, he would kill her too. She killed the closest people he had to parents. Wherever she was, he would find her.
Nobody answered, and Simon dismissed the question. Walking along, the vampires walking along with them.
"Okay, you people can stop following me." Simon turned around quickly, and they all stopped.
"You'll need our help nerd boy, you and your little Shadowhunters can't take down Sebastian and his army." A brunette spoke, stepping out the crowd. Jace instantly didn't like the idea, they could turn on them at anytime. Even if they were kind of sired to Simon, doesn't mean they don't have minds of their own.
"No." Jace stepped foward and shook his head.
"No Jace. I think she's right." Isabelle cut in.
"Yes. Me too. We're going to need all the help we can get." Simon added.
Jace sighed heavily, turning around and storming off in front of them all. He reached the water first and was already out in the park, now running to Magnus's apartment without a thought. He didn't realize how close they all were until he arrived. He grunted and knocked on the door. It swung open in less than two seconds.
"More nephilim. How delightful."
I'm super sorry I haven't posted in a while! But don't hate me! This chapter is long to make it up, comment and tell me if you like! Bad or good?
