K - Kids

"How do you feel about another?" Hermione asked softly, gazing down at a sleeping Rose with a tender expression.

"Another baby?" Ron's eyes widened.

Hermione turned to face him. "No, another lamp." She laughed at his dumbfounded expression, "Of course another baby. Honestly Ron."

Smiling, he wrapped an arm around her shoulders, and pulled her closer to him. "Just checking, dear." He placed a kiss the top of her head lovingly and her heart swelled, just as it did every time he called her 'dear' or something as equally affectionate, "Didn't want to get my hopes up if you were speaking about something completely unrelated, did I?"

"You're stalling." She pointed out teasingly.

"Ah, but am I?" Ron raised his eyebrows at her mischievously and dug his fingers into her side, gently tickling her.

Hermione let out a squeak, causing Rose to stir in her sleep. Both of them froze, but when it became apparent that she wasn't going to wake up, Ron spoke quietly into her ear. "Yes."

Hermione's head whipped around quickly, "Really?" she said in a whisper, searching his eyes.

"Really, yeah." He chuckled softly, "I think it'd be good to have two kids. Give Rose someone to play with y'know?"

Hermione nodded and beamed at him. She'd been debating bringing the topic up for a few weeks now, but being with him at this late hour in the night, standing next to their daughter's cot had prompted her to just do it.

"I love you so much, Ron Weasley."

"I love you so much too, Hermione Granger." Ron smirked and bent down to capture her lips with his.

They kissed deeply until Hermione broke apart from him, panting for breath. "Ron, we can't. Not now- Not whilst Rose is sleeping."

"Mmmm," He muttered in agreement, choosing instead to trail his lips down her neck. "Exactly. She's sleeping."

Hermione giggled, which quickly turned into a moan when Ron gently nipped along her collarbone. "We'll wake her up." she protested weakly.

"I don't know Hermione, she seems pretty asleep to me." Removing his lips from her neck, he leant his forehead against hers, "Besides, one-way silencing charms were invented for a reason."

Hermione grinned, a playful spark in her eyes, "I knew there was a reason I married you. So resourceful." She hooked a leg around his waist and gave him a sultry smile, "Now, what are you waiting for?"

Ron, who apparently wasn't waiting for anything, hoisted Hermione into his arms and hurriedly carried her, half running, to their bed, only pausing once to cast a quick silencing charm on the door to their sleeping daughter's room.
