A/N: I know it seems like I abandoned you and, well, I did. But I had good reason for it. See, my writers block tends to be weird, like I'll only get it for one story, but reviews with ideas for chapters and constructive critisism tend to clear it up right away *wink, wink*. Now, I've come down with a HUGE bought of writer's block *Nods* Mmm-hhmm Huge, ginormous. I am not going to write Grantaire"s story because you already know it!
Enjoy Grantaire and my shared suffering
Grantaire put his head in his hands and groaned. He and Enjolras had managed to dump Tyler and Katie on Gavroche for the day.
"What's wrong, honey?" Enjolras asked, laying a hand on Grantaire's shoulder. "Nothing, I just can't think of anything pretaining to this story. In fact, I can't think of anything to write at all!" "I'm sure you'll think of something."
Grantaire looked at him and said "Can you try to give me a prompt?" "How about a guy who gets released from jail by this guy with Crazed Cop Syndrome, he breaks parole and lives a live apart..." he began. A few hours later, he finished up with "...and then the old guy dies and leaves his adopted daughter and her new husband behind. Then, he walks through some huge, white gates and everybody that died over the course of the story is on a massive barricade!"
"That is a great idea!" Grantaire stated, "Thank you.
Grantaire started writing the story of them.
16 Years Later
"...Il dort. Quoique le sort fut pour lui bien etrange,Il vivait. Il mourut quand il n'eut plus son chose simplement d'elle-meme arriva,Comme la nuit se fait lorsque le jour s'en : He sleeps. Although his fate was very strange, he lived. He died when he had no longer his angel. The thing came to pass simply, of itself, as the night comes when day is gone."
"There," Grantaire said, "Done. Now I just need to get a pen name and a title, then I can go look for a publisher. I know, I'll call it Les Miserables and my pen name can be Victor Hugo."
A year later, he found a publisher.
Nearly two hundred years later, his story is still gaining fans and making headlines.
It will do this until every copy on earth burns.
