Hey guys, dxer1116 here. Sorry I didn't update for awhile. I'm really busy with studies, but now I finally updated a chapter today. HOpe you'll guys enjoy this chapter.
It was a quite morning at Fairy Tail. Team Natsu was not present due to the fact that they are on a mission today. Wendy and Romeo were at the guild, at the barside with Mirajane. Wendy, who was sipping her drink, was looking around the guild, looking for the blonde boy, but he was nowhere to be found.
"I really can't find him anywhere. Maybe he went on the mission today." Wendy said to herself.
"Maybe he's been avoiding you since he was so guilty of what he said to you yesterday." Romeo explained with a serious expression on his face.
"But I know he didn't mean it because he is nice and kind." then she remembered Terence apologized and confessed to Wendy, "I really want to see him so badly."
At the same time, Terence just arrived with Claire and Razor with him. Claire was sharing a stry with Razor and Terence, but Terence was ignoring, thinking about something. Daydreaming, Perhaps...
She saw Terence and immediately went to him as she wants to talk to him bout something important. Terence noticed Wendy, and was surprised that she was looking after what he did to her yesterday.
As Wendy was about to talk to Terence, Levy arrived with a mysterious blue gemstone on her hand. Terence sensed magic in that gemstone and it feels familiar. Wendy felt something from that gemstone, too. Terence became curious and asked to borrow the gemstone. Levy allowed Terence to borrow for awhile.
"This gemstone has high concentration of sky and wind magic. This means..." he looked to Wendy for a second, and turned his attention back to the gemstone.
"What do you mean?" Claire asked with a worried expression on her face.
"Pack your bags Razor, Claire... We are going somewhere." Razor and Claire exchanged looks as they never seen Terence like this before. This made them worry, including Wendy as she feel that it might be a dangerous adventure.
"How about me, could I come with you?" Wendy asked as she wanted to go with them, but Razor replied with a little bit of anger in his tone.
"No, you'll just be a burden in our travel."
Claire scolded the blade mage, "Razor, that's too much."
"But it will be Terence's decision." all eyes were on the blone boy, who was looking at his sister, but he made his decision.
"I'm sorry Wendy-chan, you'll have stay here in the guild. It's really dangerous even for you." Terence explained to Wendy. The blue-haired girl began to sniffed. Suddenly, Terence patted Wendy's head which made stopped sniffing, "Don't worry, There'll be big surprise, okay?" Terence made a slight smile.
As Terence left the guild, Wendy felt something weird in her chest. It wasn't pain, but something soothing. Wendy felt happy, and thought, I'll waiting for you, Terry. Because I have something to tell you after you come back.
Meanwhile, Terence and the other two mages were about to leave Magnolia, thenRazor grabbed Terence's shoulder, Razor with his annoyed expression on his face.
"Why are we wasting our time finding that creature. You know we have better things to take care of like Death Reaper." Razor explained, but Terence only sighed.
"You know we need every bit of help to defeat Death Reaper. They are no ordinary enemies." Terence told him.
"And please don't over exert yourself for that girl, Terence."
"I can't help it, Razor. I love her." Razor sighed as the blonde boy smiled.
Claire giggled, "So you still remember what I said to you yesterday."
*Flashback*
Terence's head was on his sister's shoulder, crying. Claire comforted the blonde boy, and said to him, "Did you know why she died?" Claire questioned. Terence shook his head while his head still on her shoulder. She continued, "Because she loves you. She did everything to make you happy and she did it. You should do the same if you love Wendy that badly."
"But what if she doesn't love me back?" Terence asked.
Claire replied, "You can't force her to love you so, just make her happy. Maybe one day, she'll love you back."
"Maybe, but it's really impossible that she'll love me back."
*Flashback finished*
They stopped at the entrance of Mganolia as Razor asked a question about their journey, "So are you ready guys?"
"Yeah, let's hope we'll go home early in one piece." Terence joked just as Claire replied to Razor's question with a nod. They rode the train going towards the northern part of Fiore.
*Few days later*
While back at Fairy Tail, Wendy was at the window side, waiting for Terence and the others. She to worry him as days passed as something might happen, but she knew that he'll come back. Her heart began to beat as she thinks about him. A boy confessed his feeling to her which is also the boy Wendy likes.
As she looked to the entrance of the guild, she saw Razor and Claire and a woman between them. Wendy rushed to the guild's main door and opened, hoping for Terence to be here, too.
"Guys, I'm glad you guys are safe. By the way, where is Terry?" Wendy asked with excitement. The two teens smiled as they looked behind.
Terence wa behind them, yawning as he greeted the blue-haired girl, "Good Morning, Wendy. We're home."
"You're safe." she hugged Terence which made the wind mage blush.
"You seem to be very close to Terence, Wendy dear." the woman said to Wendy with a warm motherly smile. Wendy, who felt really warm with the smile, asked the woman.
"How do you know my name, Ms.?"
The woman giggled as she touched the little girl's and said, "You've grown, Wendy dear. It's been fourteen years." Wendy noticed her voice was similar and her scent, then she remembered what Terence said to her before he left.
Don't worry, there'll be a big surprise, okay?
Tears began to fall from her cheeks as she couldn't believe it. She's been searching for her for a long time, and now she's in front of her.
"Is that really you, Grandine?" asked Wendy.
"I'm sorry left you, but now we can finally be together, Wendy dear." Wendy quickly hugged her foster mother as Grandine hugged her back. Razor and Claire smiled as they witness a mother-daughter moment. Claire shed a tear while Razor smiled while patting Terence on the shoulder.
"I told you there'll be a big surprise when I get back." Terence said while yawning, "We brought Grandine here, but I sealed her dragon form since her magic was suck to the bone."
Claire continued to explained, "She can't change bak to her original form until she's all healed up."
"What's more important is that Grandine is safe." Terence said while yawning, "Damn, I've never been do tired before." Terence looked to Wendy who was really happy Grandine was at her side now. Terence turned to Claire and Razor, "Let's go home guys."
As Terence was about to leave, Wendy grabbed his hand and stopped him, "Coupd I talk to you in private?" Wendy asked while blushing really hard. Terence was confused why Wendy wanted to talk to him in private. It must be important.
They arrived at the rooftop of the guild with Wendy looking at the sunset, and Terence behind her. Wendy turned to Terence, and started to speak, "Terence, thank you."
Terence smiled, "It's Nothing, really."
Wendy shook her head, "It's something, Terry. I really love Grandine like a mother. It really hurts when she left, but because of you... Thanks..." Terence was happy for her, but at the same time it hurts because it kinda reminds him about his mother who passed away few years ago.
Wendy continued, "I never thought I would love two persons. Well one is Grandine, and the other..." she paused, "Is a very special person."
"It's Romeo, isn't it?" Terence teased, "Since you guys are quite close."
"No," she replied, "Terry, do you still love me?" Wendy stared at Terence, who was trying to avoid eye contact. She repeated the question, "Do you still love me?"
Terence replied with a sad nod, "Yes..."
Wendy then suddenly kissed Terence's forehead, and said, "I love you..." Terence eyes widened as Wendy hid her face after that. She was red as a tomato, and Terence thought it was cute.
"Why did you do that?" Terence asked while slightly blushing.
"Because I love you, idiot." Wendy replied. Terence couldn't believe what he heard, but giggled afterwards.
"I love you, too." Terence chuckled which made WEndy blushed harder, "So, are you gonna kiss me again?"
"No!" she flicked his forehead and ran away, laughing. Terence grinned as he ran towards her. Razor and Claire witnessed everything, and both laughed.
