A.N.: Kay guys, I fixed the spelling errors, let me know if I missed any.
Ch. 11.
The campers all talking in hushed voices as they prepare for the night's game of capture the flag, with promised to be particularly interesting. They were up against Artemis and her hunters again, which many of the campers weren't too pleased about. Hadn't they lost enough times already?
Seriously, losing to a group of man-hating preteen girls did heavy damage one's ego. A 57 to 0 winning streak was unnecessary. It seemed somewhat iron they called boys arrogant.
However this time they would not be alone.
They would be aided by two newcomer's, the demigods Thalia and Annabeth, along Will Solace, had been sent to recover prior to the quest to save Artemis.
While there was excited tension in the air, there was also a somber mood in the camp.
Tonight's game was dedicated to Annabeth, the Daughter of Wisdom, who had died on the quest, giving the campers extra motivation to win. Because of this Thalia had managed to pull herself together after they had burned Annabeth's shroud that afternoon. She was determined to honor her fallen friend.
Many of the campers look at Nico and Bianca with suspicion wariness after their sudden arrival at camp near the end of dinner, despite Chiron warning that they Children of Hades were to be treated with the utmost respect. Nico just smirked back in return to the judgmental looks the campers throw at him. Bianca roll her eyes at him before whispering in his ear. "Stop it Nico, Perseus and Dad expect us to behave."
Nico's eyes flashed mischievously, "I am behaving myself. They're the ones staring at me."
"Nico." she said, being the reprimanding big sister that she was.
"All right. Fine," he said still grinning wickedly as he began checking his already perfectly in place armor.
Thalia walking in to the pavilion heading towards them when she saw Bianca.
The campers quickly glanced away as she stop next to them.
Everyone stopped talking as Lady Artemis arrived with the hunters. Chiron stood up and cleared his throat.
"As usual the creek will divide the two side. Campers will guard the side were Zeus' fist is located. The hunter will guard the other. Lady Artemis has also informed me that she will be playing with her hunters in this game."
The campers paled and a son of Aphrodite opened his mouth to speak by was stunned into silence as a dark flash appeared in the front of the room that solidified into Perseus.
"You know, your mother should really thank me. I believe I just saved you from saying something that got you turned into a jackalope, despite how much I detest her." He said smirking, causing Artemis and her girls to burst out laughing. Nico, Bianca, and Thalia chuckled along with them.
The campers began to bow but stopped when growled menacingly. "What did I tell you about that shit?"
The campers stood back up muttering, "Sorry Lord Perseus."
Perseus just rolling his eyes.
"You can just call me Perseus, I'm not my Douche father." he said flipping off the skies as thunder rumble violently overhead. Nico, Bianca and Thalia bend over laughing as the demigods' wide eyes flashed between them, the God, and the sky.
Dionysus, shot up to his feet and open his mouth, but before he could speak Perseus started clapping.
"Whoa, congrats boozy. That's the fastest I've seen you move since you were born as a mortal demigod from Dad's hip." he said mockingly making Artemis erupt into another fit of laughter.
Dionysus turned a shade of purple that matched the grapes he used to make wine when Perseus mentioned the weirdness of born before he yelled stuttering, "H-H-how dare you disrespect me in front my children and these mere mortals in my domain!"
Perseus smirked before vanishing in a shadow and reappearing in front of the God of Wine. Dionysus started to fall over backwards as he tried to distance himself from the God of Night, but Perseus grabbed the front of his shirt, stopping his fall.
"Listen closely, and listen well. Run back to Olympus if you know what's good for you. This is MY domain. Father may have given you my throne, but this is my camp and I'm taking it back now that the true nature of my banishment's been revealed. If Drama Queen wants to punish you for looking like a fool running after nymphs, he can send you to rehab. And don't worry nobody's gonna mock your sons, I'll look after my nephews. It's not their fault you're their father. These Heroes have dealt with you enough." Perseus said in a voice that sent shivers down the younger son of Zeus' back before Dionysus vanished in a flash of purple flames.
The campers stared at Perseus before everyone including Castor and Pollux the sons of Dionysus all started cheering.
When the cheering died Castor spoke up.
"What do you mean by the true nature of your banishment?" he asked.
Percy smiled. "I will explained everything tonight at the campfire. For now know that your Aunt Artemis and Uncle Apollo were forced to betray me."
"Aunt and Uncle?" Will said confused.
"Yes, unfortunately Dionysus is your father and I's little brother. And Artemis would be your aunt since she is Apollo's sister right?" Perseus replied looking over at him.
"Ugh. please don't remind me of the weirdness of our family." Will groaned with a shudder.
Percy laughed, "All right. How about we just focus on breaking the hunter's winning streak."
Artemis scoffed. " You wish little brother."
Percy just smiled confidently.
"Your hunters are undefeated because they've had their Goddess, while the campers have not had their God." He declared.
Phoebe, Diana, Victoria all groan and Zoe shook her as they all realized what he meant.
"You're playing against us?" Vicky said astonished. " Against Zoe!"
Zoe blushed furiously, glaring at her sister before Percy started laughing and she decided to glare at him instead.
He met hers with a sweet smile.
"Let's go guys," he said turning away from her and heading towards off into the snowy woods.
-Line Break-
Perseus approached the rocks that formed Zeus' Fist. He nonchalantly flicked his wrist and the structure exploded, collapsing into a mount of rocks.
"Oops," he said in an innocent voice as lightning flashed and thunder boomed in the sky above, but there was a smug smirk on his face. The campers laughed, already over their nervousness of being in his presences. He was without a doubt, the coolest God, ever.
"All right, here's the plan." he said turning to face the campers. "They're going to send a group as a distraction to the East. Connor, Travis, Katie, Beck and Silena take your cabins and take the bait." He used his fingers to indicated quotation marks as he said 'take'. The head campers nodded, not surprised that he knew their names.
"Castor, Pollux, you two go with them as well."
The twins nodded. "On it Uncle Percy." Castor said making him smile.
"Oh, I know boys. Now go show your drunk Pops up." He said smirking.
The twins laughed promising they would before heading off with the others Perseus had called upon so far.
Percy turned back to the remaining demigods.
"Malcolm, time for you and your siblings to make your sister proud. Go with Thalia and Bianca to take the flag."
Malcolm nodded his head. He was determined to win the game for his fallen sister, and show everyone that he would be able to lead the rest of his siblings in her place.
"Nico, you help Lee and Clarisse find a spot for the flag, and then help defend it along with the rest of the Hermes and Apollo campers."
"WHAT? No Way!" Nico protested. "That's not fair! I have to stay back when Bianca gets to go after the flag? That's Minotaur shit!"
"NICO!" Bianca said shocked. " Watch your language!"
"No, he's right. You gotta be a bigger airhead than the Aphrodite if you think Ares is taking babysitting duty." The head of the Children of War said scowling.
Perseus just laughed.
"I see your as feisty as you sister Phoebe, Clarisse. She and Zoe are coming for the flag along with the other two oldest hunters and two of the younger ones. That's why I need you guys guarding the flag." He said with a pointed look at Nico who nodded, but continued to grumble under his breath. "Let them get the flag to make them think they're ahead, but hold them back, so that Thalia and the others make it across the creek first."
Lee Fletcher, Head of Apollo's Cabin nodded and asked. "What will you do?"
"I'm going to take care of you dearest Aunty about 15 yards into the hunters side. I'll keep my sister busy long enough for us to win." he answered Lee, before an evil smile spread across his features.
"The Moon and Night shall dance." He said before dissolving into the darkness.
Bianca frowned at her brother again (to which he responded to by rolling his eyes), before she left with Thalia and the Athena Cabin.
Nico took the flag and began searching for a place to hide it. Lee had one of his brothers, Will, join them. After a few minutes Will came across a crevice that must have been exposed when Perseus knocked the structure over that wide enough for a person to drop down in the cave below.
"This looks good." he said and got ready to jump down.
"NO!" Nico shouted, stopping him. The son of Hades stomped his foot and a four feet long block of solid gold erupted from the ground, closing of the entrance to the cave. Will jumped back in shock.
Clarisse raised her eyebrows.
"What was that about deadboy?" She asked.
Nico ignored her insult, his eyebrows furrowed, a deep frown on his face.
"You should thank me, I just saved your live." He said.
"What do you mean deadboy." Clarisse demanded.
"That's no ordinary cave, pighead." Nico said glaring at her.
"Pighead?" she said outraged, raising her electric spear.
"Yeah, a boar is just a glorified pig right? That is your father's sacred animal, is it not?" He mocked drawing his Stygian Iron blade. "What, would you like a taste of Soulsucker?"
"ENOUGH!" Lee interjected yelling, glaring at both of them. "Can deal with this later, for now let's focus on the game. We'll show it to Chiron and Perseus after."
"Fine." Clarisse huffed before storming away from them as Nico nodded sheathing his sword.
-Line Break-
"Come out, Perseus! I know you're here!" Artemis yelled.
Perseus chuckled. "Right you are Arty, but am I here?" his voice right behind her causing her to whip around.
"Or here?" he teased his voice now in front of her, making whirl to face the frozen creek again.
"Or am I here?" He taunted, his voice coming from her right side now. Artemis narrowed her eyes, and fired an arrow straight to her left. He laughed, he voice now twelve feet behind her. Artemis' eyes widened and she cursed. Perseus laughed again, his voice once again coming from in front of her.
"Whoa, Arty, that's not being a very example for your hunt-," He began before cutting himself off with a yelp after Artemis shot an arrow straight into the trees above her.
"I would expect my hunters to curse their own foolishness. I should have know you were in the trees this whole time." She said with a smug smirk as he appeared grinning in front of her, the arrow just centimeters from his male organ. He gritted his teeth and pulled the arrow out of his thigh before healing himself. He smiled a crooked smile.
"Right you are, nice shot, Arty." He said before she released a third arrow a little above he previous mark. He reappeared right behind her, wrapping his arms around her body, pinning her arms to her sides.
"Now that's not nice sis," He whispered teasingly in her ear.
Instead of responding she slammed her head back in his chin, forcing him to release his hold on her. She pulled out her hunting knives and slashed them at him in two parallel downwards archways. Anaklusmos flashed out of its pen form, and he blocked the blow with the flat of his blade. She swung her knives at him again, but he deflected one and caught her other wrist in his left hand. Quickly he wretched the knife out of her hands, and tossed it aside while he used the hilt of his sword to smack the other knife from her right hand. He then dropped Anaklusmos and tackled her. They started wrestling and rolling around in the snow, unaffected by the temperature of frozen ground. Finally Artemis pinned ar Perseus underneath her.
"I win." Artemis smirked, letting her hair hang in her face as she used it to tickle his as she used to do when he just was a little boy, causing him to erupted in to yet another fit of laughter.
"Yeah, well I thought two losses would be too much for you to handle sis." he said smugly.
Artemis' eyes went wide as she realized she had completely forgotten about the game.
A.N.: Kay, I think I go all the mistakes from the first time I posted it.
