ELSA
Elsa didn't cry. She couldn't cry. She had to find a way out of here. Everyone she loved was in danger. She wasn't going to let that happen. She wasn't going to die. She knelt down next to Anna and shook her shoulder as best she could with her metal shackles.
"You have to wake up Anna," Elsa pleaded. Just as she was beginning to loose hope, Anna slowly opened her eyes. Elsa sat back as her sister woke up.
"Thank God." Elsa whispered.
Anna sat up slowly and looked around. "Where are we?" She asked, still groggy.
"I don't know, Ivan brought us here. We have to get out."
"Ivan brought us here?" Anna asked in disbelief, "I just remember being very sleepy and… I actually don't remember where I fell asleep."
"Ivan attacked me." Elsa said, "He has the control of fire Anna, I couldn't stop him. And he's working with Pitch. I don't know what they've done to Jack and I can't do anything because of this stupid metal."
Elsa was getting hysterical. She didn't know what to do.
"You're the only one that can get us out of here Elsa."
"But, I can't-"
"You have to."
Elsa looked down at the shackles. Anna was right. She had to do this. No one was coming to save her. She had to be her own hero. There was no other choice.
She gritted her teeth and curled her hands into fists. She wasn't going to abandon the people that she loved again. She and Anna and Kristoff weren't going to die and she was going to save Jack. Ivan was going to pay for what he had done to her family.
Elsa yelled and yanked her shackles away from her. They exploded in a shower of ice and metal. She pulled up her dress and stomped her foot into the ground. A long, thick spike made of ice shot out of the ground where her foot had been. She pulled it up and threw it sideway into the bars that trapped them in their cell. They split in half.
Elsa was breathing heavily. Anna looked at her with disbelief. "Let's go." Elsa said. Anna walked over to Kristoff who still hadn't woken up, and kissed his forehead.
"We'll be back for you." She said to him. Then she stood up and stood next to Elsa. They walked out of the cell and into a hallway.
They ran through corridors for a while until they found a door to the outside. The compound where they were being held was on the outskirts of the capital city. The sky was beginning to grow an ashy grey and snow was falling.
"What do we do now?" Anna asked, looking at her sister.
"Now? We find Ivan." Elsa said.
"Do you think he's at the palace?" Anna asked again.
"Yes." Elsa began to makes her way through the snow towards the city.
When they got there, they noticed something was wrong. The streets, usually filled with people even in a snowstorm, were completely empty. Elsa and Anna made their way cautiously to the palace.
The gates were open and as soon as the girls got close, they could see it was filled with people. There was a somber feeling in the crowd. Up on the balcony, above the people, stood Ivan. He raised his hands, and the murmuring subsided.
"Citizens of Arendelle," He began, "A tale of tragedy brings me here today."
"What is he trying to do?" Elsa whispered to Anna.
"As you know, the royal family is no longer with us," Ivan said, "However, you may not know what I have uncovered. Our beloved Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, and her fiancé Kristoff were all found dead."
The crowd gasped. "Yes, I regret to inform you that all of this is true. We also have discovered the culprit. Jack Frost."
The crowd gasped again. Some people yelled.
"He has fled to his own world," He said, "But I have a way to go after that devil." He held up the snow globe. "I will go tomorrow, after the funeral, and I will kill Jack Frost, and bring his body back as payment for all the death he has caused."
"No!" Elsa yelled. The crowd turned to look at her. "We are all still very much alive, no thanks to you!" Elsa turned to the crowd. "He was going to have us killed, all so he could have the throne."
"Very impressive Elsa." Ivan yelled at her. "But, unfortunately, I still have the upper hand. I have the snow globe. And I'm going to help Pitch kill your dearly beloved Jack!"
"No you aren't!" Elsa yelled. She began to run to the front of the crowd, and the people made a path for her. The slammed her foot into the ground below the balcony and a column raised her to the balcony.
She jumped onto the balcony, but Ivan was no longer there. She ran into the castle and looked down both hallways. She saw his coat tails round the left hall corner.
She took off running after him, but skidded to a halt when she rounded the corner. Ivan was standing in front of her, a small flame starting in the palm of him hand.
"I'll give you two choices Elsa," Ivan said, "One: You will come with me without a fight and I go to Jack's world and all of you are safe. Two: I will burn down this castle and this whole city and kill everything and everyone you love. Your choice."
"You don't scare me, Ivan," Elsa snarled at him, "You're just a little man who will do anything for power with the ability to throw fiery temper tantrums. You're not going to do anything to hurt anyone I love ever again."
Ivan smiled at her. "Really?" He asked. Then he raised his hand to the wall and flames ignited the wallpaper. "I find your testing of me to be tiresome."
Elsa covered the wall with ice and the flames were quenched. "I find your quest for power to be high treason." Elsa growled. She shoved both of her arms toward his and all but his head was enveloped in ice.
Ivan gritted his teeth and the ice began to crack and melt. He gave a yell and the ice completely melted. "Pitch's Lair!" He yelled and threw the snow globe at the wall.
"No!" Elsa yelled. She left out a long, powerful blast of ice that was enveloped into Ivan's body. He collapsed on the floor. Elsa raised a hand to her mouth.
Ivan clawed at his chest. His hair began to turn white and frost began to form on his skin. "What did you do to me you witch?" He screamed. Elsa covered her eyes with her hands. No. She had done it again. She was killing him.
His sounds of struggling stopped and Elsa uncovered her eyes. Ivan had turned to ice. He had one arm reached out to Elsa and a look of pure hate on his face. Elsa dropped to her knees.
"Elsa?" Anna's voice said. Elsa looked up at her. "Oh, Elsa."
Anna knelt down next to her sister and took her in her arms.
"I killed him Anna." Elsa said numbly.
"You didn't have a choice." Anna said.
Elsa nodded. "I know." She stood up. She couldn't let this bog her down. He was going to destroy everything. She may not have meant to kill him, but it was the only way out.
"I have to go after Jack." Elsa said to Anna. "I have to know he's okay, and I have to help him defeat Pitch."
"I can handle things here." Anna said. She smiled at Anna, "Everything's going to turn out all right Elsa. You'll see."
Elsa gave her a little smile. "Thank you Anna." She hugged her sister. "I love you."
"I love you too."
They let go of each other. Elsa turned toward the portal that was still open. "North Pole" She said a little hesitantly. The portal's colors changed from black and grey to red and white. She turned back to Anna and gave a small smile. She smiled back. Then she walked through the portal, to Jack.
