Jessica woke up crying. She had dreamed that they were too late. Claudia was dead. She sighed, looking over at Helena.
"Hey, wake up." she murmured, shaking the other woman gently. Helena jumped, her eyes were red from crying.
"I'm sorry." She said with a sob. Jessica wrapped her arms around Helena's shoulders. She knew that Helena had been thinking about the same thing. what if they were too late? the question was running through both their heads. suddenly the farnsworth began pulsing. Jessica opened it and smiled through her tears.
"Hey Lena." She said with a sniff. Lena smiled.
"We have a lead. A woman went nuts on a couple of girls in a grocery store. Started screaming that they stole her husband. The girls swore they'd never seen her before." Lena explained. Jessica nodded.
"You got a name for me?" she asked, hope making her heart soar. Lena nodded.
"Jayna Karson."
Helena and Jessica walked up the stairs to an old Victorian house.
"So, guns blazing or gentle approach?" Jessica asked. Helena's face was set in a hard glare.
"This woman possesses the one thing i can call my own in this world. We go in and find her." She growled, more serious than Jessica had ever seen her. Jessica nodded. She walked up to the door and kicked it in.
"Jayna Karson secret service!" she yelled into the home. All was silent for a moment and then suddenly a woman came out of nowhere with a baseball bat.
"Whores! You stole my Husband!" she shrieked. Jessica dodged the bat and grabbed for her, but missed. Helena suddenly came up behind Jayna and kicked her legs out from under her.
"Thats for Myka." She said darkly. Jessica noticed a brooch on Jayna's collar. She pulled it off and the deadly haze over Jayna's eyes disappeared.
"Oh god, what have i done?" she asked. Jessica knelt beside her.
"You kidnapped two women, where are you holding them?" she asked. Jayna blinked.
"I-I think they're in the basement." She said, confusion crossing her face. Jessica jumped up and her and Helena raced for the basement stairs. they flung the door open and there at the bottom of the stairs, stood the loves of their lives. they both flung themselves down the stairs and were caught in the arms of the ones they loved. jessica took this moment and crashed her lips against Claudia's. To her surprise, Claudia didn't pull away, she leaned into the kiss. when they finally pulled away Claudia laughed and murmured.
"Took ya long enough." Jessica smacked her arm and laughed too. then the two turned to see Helena and Myka locked in a tight embrace. it seemed as though nothing would ever tear them apart again. Claudia took Jessica hand and smiled.
"Hey, wanna go out with me?" she asked with a girlish grin. Jessica nodded.
"Of course you idiot." she laughed. Claudia kissed her again.
"Hey, i love you just so you know." She murmured. Jessica smiled.
"I love you too."
