Chapter 11: Crystal Tears

Erza smiled at Ultear. "Meredy..? That's a wonderful name." A big grin appeared on Ultear's face, "Thank you. I think it will suit her perfectly." Erza nodded and Ultear continued driving to their destination.

Gray ruffled his hair in frustration. He had been kissed by Erza. The image just kept replaying and replaying in his mind. "God damn it...!" he cursed under his breath. Just when he thought that things would slowly go back to normal, he started getting all kissy with Erzy. Now he was thinking of dumb nicknames!
"Her lips were soft..." he whispered. And his eyes widened in surprise. "...What am I doing..."

Lucy panted as she finally reached Natsu's apartment. She was about to knock on the door when a young girl walked up to her. Lucy looked at her and the young girl smiled. "Hello! My name is Wendy!" Lucy smiled back. "Lucy. A pleasure." Wendy raised an eyebrow at her.
"H'm...? Natsu-nii's apartment? He's not here at the moment, Lucy-san." Wendy informed as the blonde sighed. "Do you by any chance know where he might be?" Wendy nodded as she looked up at the blonde.
She then answered with, "He's at the hospital checking up on his uncle. Should be back soon." Lucy nodded once again. As she said a quick 'thank you' and started leaving, Wendy shyly asked, "May I accompany you..?"
"Of course!" The two girls started heading to Magnolia's Hospital, and during the trip, they both enjoyed each other's company.

Natsu walked on the cold payment as his hair got damp. Macao didn't seem to get better, and he wondered if it ran in the family since it happened to his older brother Zeref. Although...Zeref didn't make it...
He sighed. Zeref was the wisest and most caring person he had known. And to just all of a sudden lose him...well...it had a harsh impact on Natsu. They had so many plans for the future, but that all went down. His eyes watered, and he quickly wiped them. The rain already made it seem like he was crying. He coughed as he sighed once again. He had to get back home. He didn't want to catch a cold either. As he walked, he noticied that the rain started getting heavier. "...Seriously..." He grunted and only continued walking. His home seemed farther and farther away all of a sudden. He let out an angry moan and only continued walking. He had to get a few things before he got home. Busy busy busy. He moved his bangs back and coughed again. And again. It was official. He had gotten sick.
He suddenly caught the glimpse of navy blue and blonde hair.
Lucy and Wendy quickly ran through the rain as it had been pouring and their umbrella broke. Tough luck. As they continued running, they didn't see the car speeding towards them. And then...time suddenly went slowly... Natsu had quickly ran towards them, and pushed the two girls out of the way as the car collided with his body and sent him tumbling on the ground.
Lucy looked at him in horror, and tears rapidly fell from her eyes. She could only let out a piercing scream. "NATSUUUUUUU!"
