Hey guys! Long-time no see! (Or read, whichever you want) Sorry, for not updating, but I've been dealing with school and renovations and all the things. In better news, there is one more chapter left after this one! Unfortunately, I will not be working on the sequel to this straight after I finish. Instead of doing that, I'm starting on a HTTYD fic! I have two of them in mind and am going to be posting and completing that before I start on the sequel to this. On that note, who's seen HTTYD 2? How good is it?! Hiccup is now right up there with Jack Frost. You've done it again Dreamworks.

Anyway, on to the story!

Disclaimer: I own nothing but a laptop and a sketchbook. (And a HTTYD DVD)

I can't believe I was so stupid! How had I never seen it before? It's so obvious now, and the fact that the Greek myths are actually real explains quite a lot. Like why my parents don't even look like me - I must be adopted and am actually a demigod! Probably a son of Poseidon, explains my good swimming genes. Anyway, even if I'm not a demigod (I probably am), it doesn't mean I can't tell people I'm one!

This will be the perfect way to gain back my popularity. Once everyone knows my true lineage, they'll all come swarming to me and forget about stupid Jackson. Annabeth will leave him too and Tayla will almost definitely come back to me as well. I wonder if they'd mind if I two-timed them. Probably not, and even if they do, jealous girls are hot.

I went home almost straight away after the announcement, and got right to work. This news would definitely work to my advantage.

After about two weeks of research and reading mind-numbing mythology books, I'd finally come up with a believable story. The timing was perfect because by the time the fortnight was over, most people would accept my news whereas at the beginning it would have sounded like utter bullshit.

I walked into school when it opened at the end of the break, fully prepared and confident that I could get my popularity back. Before classes started, the principal called for an assembly to discuss the new changes around the school. When everyone was sitting down, he started to ramble on about the new 'students' we would be having at school, and not discriminate against them just because they have goat legs instead of human ones.

"Furthermore, if any of you know or are a demigod, please step forward and announce yourselves now." He finished, levelling his pupils with a cool stare. Jackson and Annabeth seemed to be in an intense conversation, and everyone else was looking around, waiting for someone to step forward. I figured this was the best time to do it.

Standing up, I made my way to the front of the auditorium. Many people were whispering and mumbling in surprise behind me and the principal was openly gaping at me. He obviously didn't think that there would actually be demigods at his school. Well, there's not, but he didn't need to know that.

I gestured for him to move away from the podium, and he does so wordlessly, offering me the microphone. I take it and clear my throat. Everyone instantly went quiet. Jackson was looking at me curiously and Annabeth was glaring at me but I ignored that. She wouldn't be doing it for long.

"So, as many of you are probably guessing, I am a demigod." I began. "A son of Poseidon, the god of the seas, to be precise. You have no idea how happy I am to finally show you guys who I really am and not have to keep the secret anymore!" I said. Now Jackson was scowling at me as well as his girlfriend. They must just be jealous. Of course they are, who wouldn't want to be a demigod?

"And don't you worry fellow swim team members! I don't cheat in any races or anything, as I believe in fair play. That's basically the only reason Jackson has been able to beat me all this time!" I chuckled at the person in question glowering at me and received a few laughs from the audience as well. Jackson looked like he was about to jump out of his seat and pummel me, but Annabeth put her hand on his arm and calmed him down. Meanwhile, the auditorium explodes with the amount of people that want to ask me what it's like to be a demigod and everything about it.

"I'm not really up to answering questions right now, but if you come see me at lunch, I might be able to then. If any of you ask me to show you my powers, I will refuse. If I do, monsters will attack all of us, and I don't want to put any of you in danger." With that, I made my way back to my seat and waited for the principal to finish the assembly.

Lunch arrived soon after that, and with it came all the questions I could tell everyone had been wanting to ask all day. I was disappointed to see that Annabeth just brushed past me and sat with Jackson at a different table, but Tayla came running over immediately and cuddled into me side, glaring at any girl that so much as looked at me. She was no Annabeth, and we both knew that she was only here for power, but she was hot and I would take it. It would further advance my popularity anyway.

I answered as many questions as I could, thanking the gods that I had done my research, when one question had me stumped.

"Where's Olympus? You said that you fought in the Titan war, so you must know where it is!" a girl a couple years younger than me asked. Everyone instantly went quiet, wanting to know the answer.

I hesitated for just a second, glancing over at the table where Annabeth and Jackson were sitting, only to find that were staring at me too, waiting for me to answer. Annabeth was smirking at me with smug amusement, as if she was wondering how I was going to get myself out of this one.

"I did fight in the Titan war - against Kronos himself, actually," I earned a few awed gasps at this. "But I don't know where Olympus is. Not even the gods children are allowed to know that. I know that it's in Washington, but that's about it, really." I answered.

I heard a chuckle from the next table over, and saw that Jackson was quietly laughing. Annabeth looked like she was trying not to smile, and was biting her lip to stop it from spreading across her face. Annoyed, I pushed Tayla off me and stalked over to their table.

Leaning over them, attempting to look intimidating, I asked Jackson, "What's so funny? You got something you want to say?"

He looked up at me unflinching and still laughing, and said, "If you were really a demigod, then why don't you tell us why no monsters have attacked you?"

Luckily, I was prepared for this question. Thank gods for Google. "There was this called the Mist. Lord Apollo mentioned it now that it's gone. That used to cover up all attacks from mortals such as yourselves." I said, gesturing to the pair in front of me. Jackson narrowed his eyes and opened his mouth to retort when Annabeth stood up, and dragged her boyfriend out of the cafeteria. Before she left she muttered to me. "At least we know that you can do your research."

They left with Tayla latching herself onto my arm and yelling after them that they were just jealous. Some of their friends ran out after them, scowling in my direction.

After lunch was over, I went to bathroom, figuring that no teacher was going to tell me off now that they know that I'm a demigod. When I walked in, I heard voices coming from one of the stalls, a male and female. Figuring it was just a couple trying to get some time together before going to class, I ignored them. That was until I realised that it was Annabeth and Jackson. They were talking to a man, whose voice I didn't recognise, and I stopped to listen.

"-just have to sit it out until summer and try to go unnoticed." The man was saying. Jackson responded. "I know, but it's going to be so frustrating with having to listen to all their crap."

Annabeth started talking just as I finished my business. No one said I couldn't do my stuff and listen to them at the same time.

"I just can't believe the nerve of him!" she exclaimed. "He goes on the internet, thinks he knows everything, and then just takes advantage of everyone's confusion!"

Thinking that maybe Annabeth's crazy outweighs her looks, I left the bathroom. They are even weirder than I thought.
