HEY GUYS! SORRY FOR THE WAIT. MY COMPUTER HAS MANY VIRUSES, SO I HAD TO TYPE ALL THIS ON MY TABLET. LUCKILY, I HAD MICROSOFT WORD AND USED ONEDRIVE TO MAKE SURE I COULD WORK ON THIS EVERYWHERE I WENT. ENJOY!
"Meet me tomorrow at the Safari Zone at 7:00 if you plan on coming," Joshua's words burned in Aaron's mind at the entrance of his base.
"Christina," Aaron called, reentering his home after the unsuspecting guests dropped in on his meeting with the Shadow Triad. He was still pretty upset at Mark, and felt equally on his ideas. Sadly, he had no other choice.
"I'm in here honey," a voice came from the bedroom. Aaron entered his room, and didn't even take notice of Christina. He stripped down to his boxers, and slid under the blanket, trying to find another option. Sadly, this was one time where there was no grey area in this situation. He's alway liked working in the grey, but he had no other choice it seemed. Either let Team Magma win, or work with a man he despised.
"Aaron, what's wrong?" Christina asked, since Aaron had been staring at the ceiling for a solid ten minutes.
"I might have to leave behind my old mindset where there is a grey area somewhere in every situation," Aaron finally spoke, almost emotionlessly. He turned to Christina. "I ran into Mark earlier today. Do you remember what happened around two months ago? Well, he came to me for help on actually containing Team Magma and Aqua. I was wondering if you wanted to tag along. He said that after the battle, if we meet, we can go back to being enemies."
"Are you going?" Christina asked.
"Of course. I'm just going to be going with Solaria. We planned on a solo mission, but on this magnitude, I'm not sure about involving my entire team, yet without them, I might possibly die. But If you are there, I think that we might stand a chance. Are you up to it?" Aaron explained further.
"Of course. We are not only neighbors both now and back then, but considering how we are in the same line of work, it would be good. And I just found you. I'm not going to loose you again," Christina whispered.
"Okay. Let's get some rest. Sorry that we can't do that tonight. I'll make it up to you somehow though," Aaron whispered, kissing Christina's cheek quickly, before letting sleep claim them both.
/-In Front of the Safari Zone, 7:01-/
Aaron, Christina, Solaria, and Reikei were running after Joshua, seeing him starting to leave.
"WAIT!" Aaron called, Joshua turning his head. Joshua stopped, waiting for them.
"I said seven. I don't tolerate being held back. Right now Magma grunts are waiting for me at Lilycove. I will advise you to stay hidden until we get on the boat. There, you will find Magma Uniforms. You two will wear them along with two grunts. You keep quiet and only speak when spoken to. They will leave without me. That order came from the top. We have now 57 minutes," Joshua informed, breaking into a run. The way he ran is what startled the four. They were used to running fast, but not even Reikei could keep up. He was running like a maniac from Call of Duty: Ghosts. He even had a small combat knife on his waist, and a watch that he kept checking. It took all of thirty minutes for them to arrive at Lilycove.
"We are running late. Hurry. The boat leaves in 26 minutes. Recall your Pokemon," Joshua ordered.
"I lost all my Pokeballs two month ago, but my team made it out alive," Aaron informed. "I'll just say he just evolved." He looked to Solaria. "Hold back when you are asked to demonstrate. But don't make it look like you're holding back."
"Understood," Solaria spoke.
"Quit talking. We're here," Joshua snapped. Aaron seeing many faces that he remembered killing. Some had scars from his sword, others had bruises from strong punches of his. Two even had burn marks, one had one on his face, and the other had multiple burn marks: two on his right leg, one on his left arm, and a large one on his back.
"Stay sharp. These are survivors of some of my early days. I recognize the burn marks. You were kinda sloppy then," Aaron whispered to Solaria.
"HEY!" one of the grunts yelled, Aaron startled. "Get to work."
"With what?" Aaron asked.
"Admin Joshua said that he was getting a map maker and someone who knows the area. I suggest you get inside. Nice Blaziken you got there," the grunt ordered.
"Alright. And thanks, he evolved last week," Aaron spoke, getting into the captain's cabin, seeing Christina and Joshua already in there. "So, what's the plan?"
"I've just got word from Mark that he's in place. The machine is also there, but because of the Shadow Triad, the Elite Four's ghost and dark trainers have gone to investigate. Things aren't looking up right now. So, what's it like in Victory Road?" Joshua informed.
"I don't know. I've never been there. I was about to be executed once, but I escaped at the Evergrande Outpost. Now, there are some defenses you'll have to get through. One of them is a ship inspection. They want to make sure you aren't smuggling anything. Along with the ship inspection is a background check on all the crew members. That's were things get tricky. You'll need fake ID's if you don't already have them. And last time I was there, they can tell a fake ID from a real one. That's where I might need to abandon ship. That goes for you too Christina. They know your face as well, since reports have come in about the Sinnoh and Hoenn Ninjas teaming up. Mine I've kept hidden, but I have my old trainer's license. That should be able to get us through. If not, have your Blastiose ready to go up the waterfall. I'll be right behind you," Aaron informed.
"This is suicide, you realize this, right Joshua?" Aaron asked, sighing.
"That's why I made sure I joined," Joshua paused, looking around, making sure no one was around. "the Infinity Task Force after I joined Team Magma. I've informed the guards. They know about the operation. Right now, they have the the outpost."
"Okay. Will they be our reinforcements if we need any?" Aaron asked, Joshua nodding.
"Operation Victory," Christina muttered, Joshua shrugging.
"It's Operation Cave In actually," Joshua corrected. "Now, we are scheduled to leave now."
"SIR! Team Aqua Grunts are showing up! We need to eave now!" a grunt informed Joshua.
Christina, having some history in the seas, started to go below the captain's cabin, and hid inside of a crate, moving aside some of the items inside to fit. Aaron stood at the front of the ship, looking out at the sea. He had honestly never been to Evergrande, but had heard stories of the worst criminals being executed there. He had actually wanted to go since the beginning of his journey as a trainer, and when he became a ninja, he pushed that feeling deep down where it would never be seen or heard from. but now, he was anxious, and more than willing to go. He was actually wanting to go to hhis original destination he set out for five years ago. He sighed, and put his hands on the railing, smiling.
"What are you thinking about?" a grunt asked Aaron, who kept his gaze on the sea.
"Just how five years ago, before I went astray, how I dreamed of making it to the Evergrande Conference, and even possibly facing the champion. Had I just brought the rest of my team, I could share the moment with them," Aaron chuckled, now leaning his back against the rail. "Surely you must be hiding something as well. Care to tell me?"
This time, the grunt sighed. "I don't trust Joshua."
"Neither do I," Aaron smiled.
"Why are you working for him them?" the grunt asked.
"He made a proposition that I couldn't refuse," Aaron spoke, hiding his motives.
"I see. Well, I don't trust him because he came in about a month and a half ago and is already an admin. No one becomes an admin that fast. And on top of that, he suggested the plan to over throw Team Aqua. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't like Team Aqua either, but wiping them out? That's just low, even for Team Magma. I'm actually thinking about turning on them just for that attempt," the grunt answered, Aaron turning to him.
"Then join me," Aaron offered, looking at the grunt. "He's actually a smart man. He's not going to annihilate Team Aqua, or Team Magma. He's just going to put a stop to their domination plans."
"That's not a bad idea. Hey, afterwards, can you help me track down the ninja that gave me this scar?" the grunt asked.
"Sorry. I have already made plans. And they involve a hot teenage girl on this boat," Aaron smirked, doing the hand gesture as well.
"You're getting laid? Shit man, how did you manage that?" the grunt asked.
"Well, long story short, we knew each other as kids, and we both happened to be in the same line of work. She also had no place to stay when she came over here," Aaron informed.
/-Evergrande Outpost, Same Time-/
"You clear on your objectives?" Adam asked Mark and Melissa.
"Find a vantage point, shut down the weather machine, and capture Archie and Maxie alive," Mark spoke. The Shadow Triad appeared, and looked at Mark.
"Mark, we've located the weather machine. No one lethal or dangerous seemed to be in the area," one of them informed.
"Take us there. Adam, Jake, there is a ship arriving in a few hours. Make sure the captain and crew is allowed through. They are carrying the Hoenn Ninja, so make sure they are alive. The captain is the other operative, so make sure he is alive if the ship is to be captured. If the ship is captured save those two operatives and turn the rest into the authorities," Mark ordered. "Make sure the reinforcements are told this. Let's get moving guys."
Mark, Melissa, and the Shadow Triad were walking out, the Shadow Triad showing Mark where the weather machine was. Melissa was going to the rendezvous point where Mark was supposed to meet Archie in one hour.
/-Evergrande Outpost, Five Hours Later-/
"Alright guys," Joshua started. "I'll get in touch with the boss and inform him that we got through safely. You guys know where to go, so get to it." Joshua walked over to a videophone, and called Maxie.
"I take it from the call that you made it. You know what to do, right?" Maxie confirmed, Joshua nodding.
"Before this call is ended, I have a bad feeling. Can I suggest reinforcements or you come? What ever I'm feeling isn't good," Joshua lied.
"And is this your 'Sixth Sense' at work?" Maxie laughed.
"Has it been wrong before?" Joshua reminded Maxie, who fixed his glasses.
"It hasn't. How bad is it?" Maxie asked.
"Well, it feels like it is going to be a disaster without you. I suggest a Pidgeot as a means of getting here if you have no other option," Joshua spoke, his eyes shifting to scan the area. "And I have a feeling that I'm being watched. Hurry to Victory Road." Joshua hung up and spun, face to face with three ITF Agents he'd never seen before.
"Come with us Magma scum," one of the agents spat, taking out handcuffs.
"I hope you're ready to talk," a different agent smirked, Joshua sighing. He just allowed the to take him to an interrogation room, where he sat down in a metal chair. He stared at them, keeping his cool.
"I wish to speak to Agents Jake and Adam. And I know they are here. I will talk to no one else. Those are my demands," Joshua spoke, the third agent slamming his hands on the metal table.
"You'll tell us what the hell you were doing in Evergrande's Outpost, or I will rip your tongue out," the agent spat, Joshua un-phased. Joshua kept his mouth shut, and looked at the one way glass, smirking at the person on the other side.
"Bring Jake and Adam here," Joshua ordered the person on the other side with a glare that could rival Giratina's glare. The person wasted no time in getting the two agents, which took all of two minutes. Adam and Jake waked in, and saw Joshua calmly breathing, the three agents ready to rip him apart.
"DAMN IT! JUST TELL US! KEEPING SILENT WON'T HELP!" one of the agents yelled.
"Calm down you three. You may be security, but he's the agent who was able to infiltrate Team Magma. He's on an assignment right now. So is the agent who is in Team Aqua," Jake informed.
"Wait, so that operation you were talking about," one of the three agents started.
"Involves me. Me, Agent Mark, the Shadow Triad, and the Hoenn Ninja are the assault team leading that operation," Joshua smirked, melting the handcuffs. "I can do a lot worse to you three that that." Joshua signalled the handcuffs, which were mangled.
"Well what was the Sinnoh Ninja doing on board then?" one of the agents asked.
"The rumours are true about those two teaming up. We trust them right now, as our goals are aligned for now. Those two are granted immunity once this operation is over," Joshua informed. "They are bringing down Team Aqua and Magma."
"And we already have Archie in custody," Adam informed. "Would you like to see him?"
"Sure. It will be a good way to start the assault," Joshua smirked. Adam, Jake, and Joshua walked to Archie's cell. Archie was lying on a wooden board which served as a bed.
"Hey, jackass, you have a visitor," Jake spat, Archie looking up, seeing Joshua looking down at him.
"It's been what? A little under two months?" Joshua started, Adam and Jake confused.
"At least Team Rocket was off of our turf when we worked together," Archie spoke, Joshua smirking.
"Our goals were aligned at the time. Strictly business. I had no other choice but to use you and those useless grunts that got trapped," Joshua smirked. "Besides, I intend on shutting down both Team Aqua and Magma. Trust me, there will still be darkness. You can't stop it. Equilibrium, Law of Equivalency, balance, nothing can really stop it, but it can be subdued," Joshua spoke.
"Eh, I'll be out. And I've let everyone in Team Aqua know that Mark is a traitor and is not to be trusted. They can even kill him if they see him," Archie smirked.
"Oh, you mean the transmissions we jammed?" Jake informed. "Yeah, they don't know, and they will continue to walk right into our hands."
"Good job you two," Joshua smiled, looking back at Archie. "You'll have a cellmate soon enough. Who knows, it could even be Maxie."
Joshua walked away with Jake and Adam in tow, Archie now at the cell bars, yelling and cursing him. Everything was just fuzz to Joshua, focused on getting there on time.
"Hey, you need to gear up," Jake reminded Joshua, who nodded, heading to the lockers. He opened his, and took out all of its contents. The contents were few but needed. There was a ballistic vest, a revolving shotgun, the MTS-255, and two semiautomatic pistols. Joshua hated guns, but he knew that things would get bad if he didn't do something. He put the two pistols at his side, and the shotgun he carried on his right shoulder, holding the butt of the gun. He saw Adam and Jake with the same gear when he returned.
"We aren't letting you go in alone. We have our orders too," Adam informed.
"Get in the way of my shots, and you'll be sorry. They did equip me with slug rounds, no?" Joshua confirmed, Jake nodding.
"Those are standard issue to defence operatives unless they prefer spread," Jake informed.
"Good, let's get into position. Mark is waiting. He is equipped as well, correct?" Joshua asked, Adam nodding.
THIS IS GETTING DARK, YES I KNOW. BUT THE STORY IS DRAWING TO A CLOSE. IT SHOULD END IN TWO TO THREE CHAPTERS. THIS ISN'T OVER YET. YOU CAN'T GET RID OF ME SO EASILY. UNTIL NEXT TIME!
