Ciel was sitting in his room. He hadn't left it since Sebastian had mysteriously vanished, and it deprived him. His blue orbs kept staring at the door as they had been for the past six days, wishing the demon would walk through them.
He stood up and sighed, "I will find you, demon...If it's the last thing I do. You promised me you'd stay forever by my side; I will force you to keep that."
With that said, the earl made his way out of the room. The maid watched him, a little surprised, as he grabbed his silver cane and strutted out of the manor. He smirked, staring at the forest ahead of him, "Who needs a carriage, walking can be just as good."
It actually took him less time on foot then it did with the horses to get to his destination. The boy walked into the small coffin shop Undertaker, letting out a sigh as the white-haired shinigami giggled in the shadows.
"I see you're without your dear butler," The man smirked, walking out to him and placing a finger to the boys chin to make him look towards him, "I'm guessing you're searching for him?"
The boy frowned, taking a step back, "Yes, where could he be?"
"Well well, awful demanding without pay I see," The older male chuckled, "I will tell you that he's not here, on this Earth, in this time period."
"What?" Ciel's eyes went wide, "How is that possible?!"
He nodded towards the journal that Ciel had hidden in his jacket, "Best check that, it has the answers."
The boy opened it up curiously, noticing a note in the corner of the first page.
"Ciel...I'm trapped in the future..." The note read, "If you find this, I can't get back..."
The earl let out a tiny sigh, "How do I get to him?"
"Someone will summon you with due time, little Earl. Now to play the game of waiting," Undertaker laughed, watching Ciel as he left.
He began to make his way back to the place he called home, when out of the blue, Grell jumped out at him.
"Where is my darling Bassy at?" He pouted, "Isn't he always with his little brat?"
Ciel growled at him, "I am not a brat! And he's not here..." The boy sighed, staring at the ground. He wanted his butler back, there was nothing protecting him...
"Oh? Then maybe I should finally have my way with you." The shinigami grinned, his chainsaw coming out of nowhere and flipping on.
The Earl's eyes went wide and he began to run in the opposite direction, deeper into London. The reaper wasn't far behind, quickly catching up. He could feel the yellow-green eyes staring at him, getting closer with each step he took. He wanted to die, but not like this...
Grell was inches from catching him, slashing his chainsaw once he knew he could get him. Ciel braced himself for the pain, but it never came. Instead, he heard a faint, deep voice tell him to run, and the clang of silverware against the deadly reaper's weapon.
The bluenette ran as fast as his tiring, weakening legs would carry him. He didn't even notice where he had gone when he sat down in front of an abandoned factory in the red-light district of the city. Prostitutes, pedophiles, murderers, and drug-dealers just scratched what criminals roamed the streets.
He panted, slowly standing up after a few minutes of rest. He didn't recognize anything or anyone, looking around frantically. He felt a pair of arms grab him and pull him into the black alleyway next to him, making him scream.
"You'd make a good video, kid." A woman's silky voice chuckled, pinning the struggling boy. He couldn't make out a single feature; all he knew is that her eyes were the same as every other shinigamis.
Ciel could swear he had seen a pair of golden eyes behind her; they somehow calmed him a little. He recognized them as his enemies, but it wasn't like he had much else to protect him. He had a feeling that he was the one who saved him earlier.
"I'd advise you let him go," It was the same voice from earlier who spoke, "Or you might not have a life, reaper."
"Oh but Claude, I can't let you have this one," The woman chuckled, sharp white teeth showing, "He's rather adorable. I don't see why my brother hates him so much."
Claude grabbed the woman, beheading her with the exact same chainsaw as Grell's. He couldn't see anything, but he knew he felt the blood hit his clothes. The boy got out, running back to his manor in a daze.
As he walked inside, he could see Meylene's eyes filled with worry, "M-master where have you been? What happened to your clothes?!" She started to run up to him, but tripped over her own two feet.
He chuckled, feeling a sense of comfort in her words. It was odd, but she was the first servant Sebastian had found. She'd been proven to be very clumsy, but when he has to leave Ciel alone, the young woman knew how to care for him. He has seen her as a mother of sorts; a very...Stupid mother.
She sighed, "Would you like a bath? The blood's in your hair."
"Yeah," Ciel nodded, losing the tiny smile he had and walking to his study, "Tell me when you manage to get it ready."
"O-of course young master!" She gave him a bright smile before starting on her long journey to climb the stairs without tripping over her feet.
*~* Pagebreak *~*
The young boy, age of maybe fifteen, was walking idly on the streets. His eyes were green, his hair blonde. He had his hands in the pockets of his blue jeans as he stared at the ground, his cheap converse and long white tee shirt in the corners of his eyes.
He couldn't help but sigh, looking up at the deserted city before him. It had been abandoned years ago, but his family still stayed there; at least, until they found the lights of the busy city streets and abandoned him there. The buildings were falling apart in front of the British teenager, smiling a little at the only other place that seemed to have anyone living there.
Undertaker was the name. The shop was named after the owner, which made his smile grow a little. He walked inside, seeing the reaper that had visited Ciel only hours ago.
"Welcome Blake." The man had a bright look to him.
Blake chuckled, "Hey."
"I have a favor; I think you'd like to do it." The man chuckled, handing the teenager a dog-bone shaped biscuit.
"Depends," He nibbled on it, "What is it?"
The shinigami's grin grew wider, it was almost frightening to most, "You have to watch someone for me. Would you mind?"
"Not at all," The boy looked a little thrilled, "Who?"
"Ciel Phantomhive."
