The next day the four were sat around the main room waiting for the eclipse, which was another three hours away.

"We're finally going to see Elena and everyone else again!" Damon laughed, sitting on one sofa next to Bonnie, still cautious of the two psychos on the opposite sofa.

"I know. What are you going to say when you see her?" Bonnie asked.

Damon started to reply but was cut of by Jerome who sprang up out of his seat with a huge grin.

"Oh I know! Lets play a game!"

"Like what?!" Bonnie sighed as Kai looked on interested.

Instead of answering straight away, Jerome took out his revolver and removed all bullets but one.

"You know this game right?" He chuckled darkly.

"NO! No way am I playing that. You're crazy Jerome!" Bonnie shouted, sitting up alarmed with Damon as Kai seemed more interested.

Jeromes eye twitched at being called crazy but he shook it off and snorted at Bonnie, "What? Too scared?"

"I just don't exactly want to die!"

"Jerome, we need you alive. Don't." Damon said, eyes widening.

"You guys are so dull. What about you Malachai?"

"Its Kai." Kais eye twitched, like Jeromes just had, at the mention of his full name and Jerome noticed.

"And sure...at least it would cure the boredom."

The dark look returned to Jeromes eyes as he handed Kai the gun, watching as he took a breathe and held it against his temple. He pulled the trigger, flinching at the noise as Bonnie and Damon jumped.

Nothing.

Handing the gun back to Jerome, they all grew uneasy as his eyes filled with excitement and his grin doubled.

Jerome took the gun, shaking it around in his hand giddily before putting it to his temple with zero fear.

"Hey Kai, what's the secret to good comedy?"

He fired, causing everyone but him to flinch as he answered, "Timing."

Slowly, dragging the barrel of the gun down to his cheek he continued causing Bonnie and Damon to shoot up out of their seats.

"And what's courage?" Jerome asked, leaning forward toward Kai who was beginning to look unnerved at his insanity.

"Grace under pressure." Jerome pulled the trigger again.

"And whose the winner?" He asked as he put the barrel under his chin.

"Jerome stop it! We can't heal you from a bullet to the head. You have already won! Just stop!" Bonnie cried, actually worried for his safety.

Bang.

Nothing.

"I won." Jerome laughed at the expressions on their faces.

"Ok OK! Jesus do you have a death wish?!" Damon asked snatching the gun from his hands causing Jerome to shoot his head up to look at him.

"Give that back."

Damon simply backed away,

"I said. Give. That. Back." Jerome growled taking a step forward.

Damon pinned Jerome against the wall by his throat as he used his strength and snapped the gun in two. Jerome lost his smile and it turned into a dangerous scowl but before he could do anything Bonnie separated them.

"That's enough! We can't kill each other if we want to get out of here!"

"You're gonna regret that." Jerome sneered before sitting back down next to a smirking Kai.

Kai did not want to admit that what Jerome did made him uncomfortable, him, a sociopath, he instead decided he would learn more about the psychopath. He was curious as he had watched Bonnie and Damon for months, but he never saw Jerome.

"What is it that you actually did to make them hate you so much? And, um, your face?"

"Oh, you wanna know my origin story?" Jerome grinned, kicking his feet onto the table and turning to look at Kai.

"Well, you see, my parents were drunken whores tha-"

"They were some of the kindest people I've ever met! They were nothing like that!" Bonnie defended angry, cutting off Jerome.

"They were drunken whores. You were always so busy with precious, innocent Elena to notice! My mother was a cold hearted whore who never loved anyone, my father was an alcoholic who didn't give a damn! They had this 'game' where they would screw, get drunk, and beat Jerome. On and on and on! My siblings they never got it though, no no, just little old me. It was always me because I was a disgrace. You see my more...psychotic tendencies started to show and they couldn't have the Founders thinking that the perfect Gilbert name produced a psychopath, a monster." He slammed his palm onto the table causing Bonnie and Damon to jump, Bonnie looking away ashamed she never saw what happened to him.

"On my 17th birthday, Elena went to a party, I was locked in my room. That made me angry. So when mommy and daddy went to pick her up as she was sick of the party, I followed. I just had enough of them. So, I stood in front of their car, watched their terror filled faces as they turned their car to prevent crashing into me, and drove of Wickery Bridge. I sat and watched them drown until lover boy #2 just had to show up and rescue scared little Elena. I got sent to Arkham Asylum after that. I was there for three long, boring years before I broke out. I was pissed so I burned a bus of Elena's cheerleading friends alive and I massacred the police station when they tried to stop me. I could have done so much more but Katherine stabbed a knife into my pretty neck, she wanted to make Elena hurt and apparently I was the way to do that." He touched the scar on his neck as Bonnie and Damon grimaced at the memory and Kai seemed to be sucked into Jeromes story.

"The next few years were a blur. Just darkness." He trailed off and shivered at the memory before smiling and continuing, "Then one of my beloved cult followers, who was crazy about me and happened to be a witch, resurrected me using some pretty dark magic. He thought it didn't work and apparently I had a cult to impress so he stole my FACE! AND WORE IT LIKE A MASK! Sorry sorry. Anyway. I killed him, reclaimed my face, painful experience. I had too staple it back on. Ugh. It was totally badass though! Then created some more fun and chaos, blacked out Mystic Falls went on a rampage, ya know, the usual. Their little gang were to busy with a humanity-less Elena to stop me. Witchy here finally sealed me into the cell in the boarding house, not cool by the way, until Enzo killed me again. Once again, I was killed to get to Elena. I swear, I can't wait to kill her."

He paused at the look on Damon's face as he backtracked, "I mean, give her a friendly brotherly 'hug'. Anyway with the magic used on me the first time, apparently that left a stain on my soul so I went to the other side, the other side collapsed, blah blah blah."

It was silent for a minute before Kai laughed and spoke up, "WOW!"
