Hey, everyone! How's it going? I have some news for you. For those of you that are fans of Michael Corinthos and the character of Starr Manning (when she was on GH for a year or so), I have been writing a story on them. I have a few chapters proofed so I will post the first chapter in the next week or so. If you're interested in that and loved the couple, I hope you will consider checking it out and leaving feedback so I know whether to continue it or not. It will also feature GeJo (Georgie Jones/Johnny Zacchara). I was a fan of them (Starr/Michael) and couldn't resist doing a story on them as I also saw a few stories on them and people seemed to like the 'couple'. That story will not be updated regularly as I don't have that many chapters done. Thank you to those who take the time to review, follow, and favorite 'Another Chance at Love'. Chapter 11
(Patrick and Elizabeth walk out of the ER and throw away their dirty scrubs. As they're walking to the Nurse's Station, they chat)
Patrick: "Thankfully, everyone survived."
Liz: (smiles) "Yeah, it's always a nice feeling to be able to save people's lives."
(Elizabeth sighs nervously before facing her friend)
Liz: "I'm sorry I interrupted you and Sabrina earlier."
Patrick: (shakes his head) "It's not your fault. Here at the hospital, work will always come first." (smiles) "But I did tell her before we went into the ER we would finish our talk."
Liz: (smirks) "Am I allowed to ask what the talk was about before I interrupted?"
(Patrick looks at his colleague and smiles happily)
Patrick: "I was finally going to open up to her about my feelings."
(Elizabeth looks at him wide eyed and can't contain her smile)
Liz: "Really? Oh, Patrick! I'm so happy for you." (jokingly) "If you ask me, that conversation should have happened a long time ago."
Patrick: (laughs) "Hey!" (sighs) "I guess I just needed to be sure of my feelings. At the beginning, it felt weird having these feelings especially when I had recently lost Robin."
Liz: (nods) "I think it's understandable. It was hard to move on at first. But it sounds like you are finding your way."
Patrick: (smiles a little) "I have you, Epiphany, and Felix to thank for the push."
Liz: (tilts her head) "I wouldn't say push. Maybe nudged a little."
Patrick: (chuckles) "Whatever the case, it worked."
Liz: (smirks) "Well, you're welcome." (puzzled) "Where's Sabrina?"
Patrick: "She had to tend to another patient. She'll be back shortly."
Liz: (curiously) "Still planning on talking to her?"
Patrick: (smiles) "Yes, ma'am." (nods) "It's high time I did."
(They reach the Nurse's Station)
Liz: "Ready for the mountain of paperwork?"
Patrick: (sarcastically) "Always."
(They both laugh before getting down to business)
***About 30 minutes later***
(Sabrina approaches the Nurse's Station with a file in her arms. She reaches the edge of the counter and puts her elbows on the edge of it)
Sabrina: "Having fun with the paperwork?"
(Elizabeth and Patrick briefly glance up at the nurse)
Liz & Patrick: "Always."
(They all laugh before Sabrina walks into the station and does her own work as well)
Liz: "How was your patient?"
Sabrina: "Just a routine checkup." (smiles) "It's fun getting to know the patients during the exams."
Patrick: (smiles) "I have heard many great things about you from them."
Sabrina: (chuckles) "Really?" (smiles) "Aw!"
Patrick: (clears his throat) "'Nurse Santiago is a breath of fresh air'. 'Nurse Santiago always takes the time to get to know her patients. I enjoy that about her'." (smiles) "As you can see, you're well respected around here." (jokingly) "I think it's a tossup between you and Elizabeth on who is most well liked by the patients here."
Sabrina: (laughs) "Well, I would never intentionally take anyone's place."
Liz: (chuckles) "How about we just say we're both doing well?"
Sabrina: (nods & smiles) "Sounds good."
(Patrick sneaks a peak at Sabrina and is tempted to ask her to talk alone in one of the available exam rooms. He decides against it as the last time he tried to talk to her, he got interrupted. Granted, it was for a good cause as there was an emergency. Yet, to be honest, he didn't want to risk getting interrupted again. Besides, if Epiphany found out, she would have issues with the possible couple about talking privately like that during working hours. So, he decided to wait until after their shifts were done before making his move. But first, he had to find out when Sabrina's shift ended)
(He looks at her and smiles a little)
Patrick: "Hey, Sabrina?"
(Sabrina turns away from her paperwork to face the doctor)
Sabrina: "Yes, Patrick?"
Patrick: "Out of curiosity, when does your shift end?"
Sabrina: "8pm. Why?"
Patrick: "Being as though I'm off at that time as well, would you be interested in going to Kelly's afterwards so we can finish our conversation? I don't want any interruptions like we did earlier."
Sabrina: (confused) "What about your babysitter?"
Patrick: "It's only Maxie and she won't mind." (chuckles) "Besides, I'm sure she'll appreciate the extra cash." (shrugs) "It's up to you, though. I mean, if you have other plans-."
Sabrina: (shakes her head) "Not at all." (smiles) "I would love to go with you to Kelly's after our shift and continue our conversation." (confused) "What time is it now?"
(Patrick checks his watch and can't help the smile from secretly appearing. He looks at the nurse)
Patrick: "6pm."
Sabrina: "Sounds good." (smiles a little) "I'm looking forward to it."
Patrick: (smiles) "Me, too."
Liz: (under her breath) "Yes! It's about time!"
