AN: lots of FourTris fluff and this is a hella long chapter
We walk into the Prom room and my ears are met with Ain't It Fun by Paramore.
I smile.
I love this song.
I love every song by Paramore actually.
Tobias smiles at me.
"What?" I ask confused.
"You're just so adorable," He tells me, slipping his arms around my waist and bending down to whisper in my ear "It's nice to see you not scowl in my presence."
I laugh and agree. "Yeah, well It's nice to have a boyfriend who likes my smiles."
He smiles and kisses my nose, "And a boyfriend who thinks you're adorable, and beautiful, and brave, and perfect."
I blush and close my eyes.
No one has ever thought of me as beautiful, let alone perfect, brave, and adorable.
I hear a sudden stop of music and screech of microphone, and my eyes fly open and I turn to see Uriah, Zeke, Marlene, Shauna, and Lynn on the stage.
Uriah is in front of a microphone, Zeke is standing off the the right of Uriah with a bass guitar, Marlene is on the left of Uriah on lead guitar, Shauna is on keyboard next to Marlene and Lynn, is on the drums in the back.
I chuckle a little as Uriah does a weird pose then leans into the mic.
"WE ARE 'THE SEXY WOMBATS'!"
Zeke facepalms and Marlene laughs, while Lynn looks like she could give less of a shit and Shauna frowns.
The whole crowd laughs, so do Tobias and I.
Uriah rolls his eyes and they all start playing Teenagers.
Me and Tobias move into the crowd.
"They're gonna clean up your looks
With all the lies in the books
To make a citizen out of you
Because they sleep with a gun
And keep an eye on you, son
So they can watch all the things you do"
Most of the school starts jumping while me and Tobias stand there and look around
"Because the drugs never work
They're gonna give you a smirk
'Cause they got methods of keeping you clean
They're gonna rip up your heads,
Your aspirations to shreds
Another cog in the murder machine"
By now I'm starting to sway.
"They said all teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me"
Tobias grabs my hips and we sway together to the beat of the drums
"The boys and girls in the clique
The awful names that they stick
You're never gonna fit in much, kid
But if you're troubled and hurt
What you got under your shirt
Will make them pay for the things that they did"
We bob our heads slightly to the music
"They said all teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me... Ohhh yeah!"
I laugh at Uriah getting way too into this while Marlene does a solo
"They said all teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me! All together now!"
Everyone including me and Tobias sing it at the top of our lungs
"Teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me... ONE MORE TIME!
Teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me"
Everyone is all excited now and the "Sexy Wombats" continue to sing.
After about an hour of songs me and Tobias sneak out to the outside realm.
It's darker, the sun just barely left in the sky.
We walk out behind the bleachers at the football field.
He grabs my waist and holds me close.
I place my head on his chest and we sway again, our heartbeats our only music.
We stay like this for the longest time.
-page break-
After our dancing we decided to skip the after party, and go to the park down the street.
No one is around at this time, so he sits on one of the swings and I sit on his lap, facing away from him.
His face in hidden in my neck and his arms are wrapped around my small waist tightly, like if he lets go I'll fall and shatter.
Leaning my head back on his shoulder I stare up at the stars and think about the plantarum.
I start to doze off.
"Tris," Tobias says.
"hmmm?" I mumble in response.
"Lets get eloped."
I laugh, "In 2 years."
He laughs too and kisses my soft spot behind my ear.
I stifle a moan and get up, only to turn around and sit back down, facing him.
My legs wrap around his waist and he slides his hands to my lower back.
I press my lips to his and we kiss, lips moving in sync and our hearts going a mile and minute.
His hands creep down and slide up my thighs, while mine travel to his neck, playing with his hair.
He groans deeply and I take it as he likes that.
His hands are now on my bare ass, well I was wearing a thong so yeah it's kinda bare.
I pull away to breathe. "We should go home."
He nods, "My house?" he suggests.
I get butterflies.
Does he expect to have sex?
Is that what he wants?
I mean I want to make him happy but, I'm still not ready for that.
I say yes anyway, and we travel to the parking lot to see his car the only one there.
We drive to his house in a comfortable silence.
Once there he asks if I'll be staying over.
I think about this.
My parents will care but I'll just tell them I'm spending the night at Chris's.
I nod and grab my phone from my dress bra and text my mom telling her that.
Tobias hands me a black t-shirt, that is way too big on me and some drawstring sweatpants.
I walk into his bathroom and change, putting my dress on his desk as I walk out.
I see Tobias laying on the bed doing something on his phone.
I climb in with him and curl to his side as he puts his phone away, then wrapping his arms around me.
"Goodnight Trissy."
"Goodnight Toby."
