So I'm so sorry that it's been so long since I last updated. I could give you all a bunch of excuses but instead I'm going to focus on adding more chapters. Since its been three years since my last update I have to reevaluate this story and decide where I want to go with it from here so please have patience and with that being said here we go! The real chapter ten!

Kagome awoke the next morning with a sigh. So much had happened in such a short period of time and yet she still didn't have any answers, all she had was a vague message from Lady Atsuko.

'Look a little closer to home,'

Kagome sensed Noriko headed her way and waited for her handmaiden to enter. The young demoness jumped upon seeing her lady already awake.

"I need to talk to Sesshomaru," Kagome announced. She'd made up her mind. She was going to get answers whether it was from Sesshomaru or his mom or their trusted advisors. She would not comply without a little insight on what was happening to her, even if they didn't know the entity of everything, someone had to be able to point her in the right direction.

"Lord Sesshomaru usually takes breakfast in his study and then meets with his generals and advisors and goes to patrol the borders of the western lands," Noriko said nervously, not wanting to upset Kagome.

"I understand but I need to speak to him about an urgent matter," Kagome insisted.

"I'll be back," Noriko said nervously she bowed and excused herself from the room. Kagome poked her head out of the room as soon as she was sure that Noriko was gone only to be greeted by Sanosuke.

"I wouldn't do that if I was you," he warned.

"Sanosuke! I'm glad go see that you're alright!" Kagome smiled. She really did feel bad about the incident last night.

"It'll take more than a pretty manicure to get rid of me, Princess" he smirked. "So where are you trying to sneak off to now?"

"I need to speak to Sesshomaru,"

"Hmm," Sanosuke pondered as he placed a clawed finger to his chin. "I truthfully don't even know where he is at this time of the morning. You have the castle in quite the frantic state,"

"Exactly and I want to know why. I want to know what everyone is hiding from me. What is it about me that has everyone walking on eggshells for? I understand that a human priestess turned full blood youkai is unusual but I also know that there is something much more than that going on and I will find out today,"

Sanosuke's usual joking facade faded instantly. "That's something that's going to have to be taken up with Lord Sesshomaru and Lady Atsuko."

Kagome felt her anger soar. "You're right and I'm tired of waiting. If I don't know where to find Sesshomaru I'll just have him come to me!"

Sanosuke squinted his eyes as Kagome channeled her anger into power and began to glow a bright pink. She figured that channeling demonic power couldn't be that much different from channeling her miko powers. The doors and windows began to rattle and small items were scattered across the room. Kagome felt Sesshomaru's aura and instantly dialed back her anger.

It didn't take long for the Taiyoukai to reach her room and it was obvious that he was NOT pleased with her display.

"Explain yourself," he growled.

"I need to talk to you and you never told me how I can get in touch with you. You simply left me here with my security guard and my orders and lessons and never once did you give me any indication that you are going to give me answers. I need answers Sesshomaru," Kagome replied confidently.

"Sanosuke, you are dismissed for the time being," Sesshomaru said to the other male demon. Sanosuke gave the pair one last look before he left. "This Sesshomaru does not have all of the answers you seek. There is much that is still not clear to me. There are many pieces to this puzzle that do not make sense,"

"Then let me help you,"

"How can you help me when you can't even help yourself?"

"You have to have faith in me. I know you think that I'm just a lowly human turned sad excuse for a demon but I'm trying! Do you think I asked for this? I was fine being a human and searching for jewel shards with InuYasha and my friends. You can come home and do as you please. I want to go home and see my mother and family. I have a life and a miss..."

"You're mother?" Sesshomauru interrupted.

Kagome paused. "Yes, my mother? Why do you seemed so surprised?"

"Where is your mother?"

"She's not here. She lives 500 years in the future with my grandfather and my little brother. I travel back and forth with the help of a magical well in InuYasha's forest. Why are you so interested in my mother? She's a human,"

"Hn, I would like to meet her,"

"What?! Why?! Besides, the only other person that can pass through the well is InuYasha,"

"You want answers?"

"Very much so,"

"Sanosuke,"the western lord called, summoning his second in command.

"Milord?" Sanosuke answered as he entered the room with a small bow.

"I will be going on a trip. Guard Rin while I'm gone and inform the others of my absence," Sesshomaru ordered, not bothering to tear his eyes from then demoness in front of him. Sanosuke nodded and left without another word. Sesshomaru also had many questions that he had to ask and if he was right, soon everything would become clear.

"I'm going home?" Kagome eagerly asked.

"Eat breakfast and get ready, I hope to be there by sunset," Sesshomaru said and exited her room.

Kagome hastily ate breakfast, brushed her teeth, combed her hair and dressed. Her mind momentarily wandered to her friends, hoping that they weren't too distressed by her disapparance. She made a mental note to ask Sesshomaru if she could send them a message later explaining that she was okay and would return soon.

Noriko entered Kagome's room with small knock. "Lord Sesshomaru is ready and asked that you meet him in the courtyard."

Kagome nodded. "Thank you so much for everything Noriko. I'm not sure if I will see you again, I'm not sure of anything anymore, but I really do appreciate everything that you've done for me while I was here,"

Noriko beamed and thanked Kagome before giving her directions to the courtyard where Lord Sesshomaru waited for her.

A/N: So hopefully everyone likes the new chapter and I apologize if the characters are a little OOC. This chapter isn't as long as I'd hoped for but I'm trying to find my muse and writing groove again. Hopefully within the next two chapters we will have more answers and see how InuYasha and the gang are doing. Please review. No flames!
