Elizabeta decided she needed to go running more often. She had run all the way from her car to the third floor of the mall, and she was out of breath. According to Francis they had spotted Alex at the food court, but when she reached it neither of the two boys were in sight. She plopped down at the closest table.

"Hey Elizabeta, what are you doing here?"

Elizabeta glared up at Alex, before quickly schooling her expression. "Oh just getting a dress for the dance. You?"

"A dress without a date?" mocked Alex. Elizabeta decided she would slap this girl if ever she got the chance.

"Why are you here?"

"Same reason."

"But you don't have a date either." Or at least that's what she hoped. Elizabeta prayed that her statement still rang true.

"Yeah but I will shortly," Alex huffed.

"Really? Who?" Elizabeta asked trying to sound innocent.

"Tonio," she said with a tone of familiarity that was clearly false.

Elizabeta sat back in her chair. "I though a lot of girls were asking him."

"Yeah, but his stupid friends aren't letting anyone get close to him," Alex complained.

Elizabeta secretly sent out her thanks to those two idiots. "Well best of luck with that."

"I won't need it."

"Really?" this aroused Elizabeta's suspicions.

"I have a fool proof plan. No one is going to stop me this time."

"What is it?" Elizabeta asked leaning in.

Alex leaned away coolly. "What about you? I expect you'll be asking that Roderich fellow. Although why you would want to go with someone as dull as him I don't know."

Elizabeta's chair screeched as it was pushed back from the table. Alex's hand sprung to the red mark left from where the other girl had slapped her. Her eyes wide with horror. "Don't you ever say something so cruel about anyone. Don't you dare presume you know anything." Elizabeta was shaking with anger. Hastily she turned on her heel and walked away.

It was a Monday, and everyone was tired. The weekend had flown by, as it was wont to do. Lovino glared out the window of homeroom. Snow was falling lightly, burying everything under a blanket of white. He wished that it could bury his memories of Saturday. How he wished to forget about it all. It had almost been too much of a date, the way Antonio had held his hands while rolling out the dough still caused the younger to blush. He wished he could get that damn charming smile out of his head, but it was no use. Every time he closed his eyes all he could see was that 1000 watt smile. Or those emerald eyes piercing his own.

Grunting angrily Lovino ran his fingers through his already messy hair. What would it take to forget about him?

News spread around the school that Gilbert had gotten a date. Mostly the news came from Gilbert's own boasting mouth, but generally people were happy that he was taken. He had a way of making everyone feel his misery if he was upset. He strutted around the halls, not letting go of Matthew's hand for a second in fear that the little Birdie's proposal was all a dream. Matthew didn't mind much. The usually attention hating boy found that he liked the not so causal dotings of Gil.

The other news, less widespread, was that Lili and Vash were an item. Neither liked to brag, but because Bella was friends with Lili news had spread. No one knew what exactly had happened, but everyone thought it was cute. Of course if anyone came up to either of them and asked about it they ended up just blushing a lot, and failing to form coherent sentences.

With all the news flooding in of cute couples, people began to get more desperate for their own romantic life. So typical was this that the Yaoi Club found it much harder to watch Antonio. Almost all the girls who were planning on asking him had to ask him this week. Any later would be considered rude, and too short of notice. This left the girls on high alert to any possible threats. Gilbert, who felt grudging indebted to Lili, found himself helping out even more. He barely left the Spaniard's side. Francis, ever a fan of romance, kept sweeping Antonio's locker and back pack for notes.

Then there was a surprise. Mei's date had wanted to help. Gratefully Elizabeta accepted the boy's offer, and that's how Kiku was formally introduced to the Yaoi Club. He spent his time watching Alex, trying to figure out what her big plan was. Lili was now free to help Bella and Michelle pair girls up with other guys. Many of them were easily persuaded once they found out that Alex was their competition. As it happened Alex was one of the most brutal and influential girls at Everett. No one wanted to get on her bad side. And this left their illustrious leader to create situations in which Lovino found himself in close quarters with Antonio.

It was like this for both Tuesday and Wednesday. But as Thursday approached everyone switched over to high alert. There wasn't much time. Lovino was being stubborn, and refusing to go along with their plans...and Alex was moving forward with hers.

They called an emergency meeting and invited the cavalry.

"The purpose of the Yaoi Club shall be to ensure affection and friendship between the guys of Everett High, so that they may realize their true feelings. To not shoot down anyone's OTP, not matter how much of a crack pairing it is, and to treat all pairings as equal – in the hopes that they might have a chance. Do not get caught, do not get blamed, but do interfere." The girls said.

"Well that's not creepy," Gil said sarcastically. Both Elizabeta and Lili stamped on his feet.

"So what are we going to do. Kiku, what have you gathered on Alex?" asked their president.

"Not much, she seems to be keeping to herself of late. She only goes to school or home, she doesn't stop anywhere along the way. And she isn't hanging out with her usual friends," he reported.

"Hm, sounds suspicious, are you sure you don't know her plans?" asked Bella.

"No. I'm sorry," he said bowing deeply.

"It's okay," Mei sighed. "But whatever she's going to do it's gotta be soon."

"I'm guessing she'll ask on Friday or sometime on the weekend. She wouldn't dare ask any later than that. Even so a week is cutting it pretty close," Elizabeta theorized. "Does Antonio suspect anything?"

"Do you mean has he noticed that no one has asked him?" Francis smiled. "Non, he seems a bit preoccupied."

"With what?" Michelle asked.

Gilbert grinned. "You know how in cooking we have to bake something for Drake? Ja that's all he is going on about...well almost..."

"And?" asked Bella desperately.

"And Lovino, he seems to be developing feelings for our little tsundere friend," Francis concluded.

"Yes!" whopped Elizabeta. The other girls cheered.

"Woah don't count your chicks before they hatch. You still gotta stop Alex and make Lovino ask him. Just because he has feelings doesn't mean the other does," cautioned Francis.

"Hai, I agree. But perhaps?"

"Yes?"

"Perhaps I know someone who can help," Kiku quickly excused himself and left.

About ten minutes later he returned with Feliciano in tow.

"Hey Feliciano, we have a question about your brother," Elizabeta said addressing the newcomer.

"Hm?"

"Does he have feelings for anyone?" asked Bella.

Feliciano tilted his head thinking. "Si. He won't admit it, but he seems to be distracted by something."

"Do you know who?" asked Michelle anxiously.

His eyes clouded, and visibly he drooped. "Fratello doesn't like to tell me much."

"Oh...well does he have any plans with anyone?"

Feliciano smiled again. "Veh~ He's meeting with Antonio on Saturday to practice their cooking project again."

Elizabeta sighed. "Thanks Feli."

The boy left, unconcerned about the proceedings in 161. "Well that's a problem."

"How so?"

"I could easily manipulate the situation if they were out public, where I could be. But they'd definitely be suspicious if I was there," sighed Elizabeta.

That's when Francis and Gilbert realized that Elizabeta was a) scary as hell and b) definitely a force to be reckoned with.

"Then we'll just have to figure something else out." Comforted Lili.

"Yeah, I'm sure you'll figure something out!" Cheered Michelle.

Elizabeta looked around at her friends and thanked them all for coming.

One by one they all made their way to their sports. Luckily Antonio had been sick that day, so Alex couldn't have asked him. But would he be there on Friday? Elizabeta feared that she would slip up somehow. That she would miss something, and her plans would fail. Friday came and went, and Antonio was still sick.
