Here it is; the next chapter of It Would Only End Badly. I hope you all enjoy it. Sorry for the wait. Anyway, love you guys and thanks for reading and reviewing.
Sumo watched the waves as he leaned against the railing of his boat. The smell of the salty air tickled his nose as he breathed deeply. Things were significantly better now that he had seen Jeff again. The two of them had begun talking again shortly after their first meeting, thoroughly regretting how they acted in high school. Jeff apologized for being so narrow-minded and Sumo apologized for making Jeff feel like he had to choose. Now there really wasn't anything that they couldn't talk to each other about.
"I still don't see the appeal of fishing, Sumo," Jeff said as he walked out on the deck.
Sumo chuckled. "Are you serious? Then what is even the point of bringin' you out here?"
"I don't know, probably some narcissistic reason on your part," Jeff joked.
"Yeah, yeah. Come 'ere," Sumo beckoned.
"You gonna throw me off the boat again?"
"Okay, once that happened. And it's been years, stop holding that grudge. Plus you got revenge right after."
"It wasn't enough. I got that disgusting water in my mouth. My mouth Sumo."
Sumo groaned. "Can you just get over here so I can kiss you?"
Jeff gave a quick harrumph in Sumo's direction before he stepped closer to him. Sumo wrapped his arms around Jeff's waist and kissed him deeply under the sun. Jeff pulled away so that he could rest his head on Sumo's shoulder.
"I still feel bad about how I treated you," Jeff said sadly.
"Don't. It led us here." The words echoed through Jeff's head and heart.
"Led me to a convenience store. I applied to that college so many times in the last four years," Jeff said bitterly.
"There's always next time. I'll help you get through it. It'll make you feel better."
"What would it have been like if we had actually started dating in high school?"
Sumo started stroking Jeff's back. "I think about that a lot actually. Even now that you're here. Well first of all, I wouldn't have been a hindrance when you were studying."
"Are you sure? Just being around you is a hindrance. Have you seen yourself?" Jeff kissed Sumo's neck.
Sumo smiled. "We would've been the ones grossing Clarence and Belson out with our love."
"I can actually see that one happening. Like Belson being completely disgusted. And then Clarence chasing after him."
"Probably to go make out in the bathroom," Sumo shuddered.
"We would have made out in the bathroom."
Sumo scoffed. "I'm calling bullshit on that one. There is no way you would be caught dead making out in the bathroom. 'Uh, there is no way we're kissing in the bathroom. Do you know how many germs take refuge there?' Then you would have told me, in detail, about all of the kinds of diseases lurking there."
Jeff looked up at Sumo and narrowed his eyes. "I wouldn't do that. I already made out with you in a bathroom."
"Hm, you got me there. But that wasn't a dirty public bathroom."
"Alright, fine. I would totally do that."
Sumo grinned down at Jeff. The brunet kissed him. This time, however, it was a light peck that had Sumo begging for more.
"Should we go back to shore?" Sumo asked with his eyes trained on Jeff.
Jeff stepped back with a smirk on his face. He turned and rested his hands on the railing. "I don't know, I think I'm coming around to the whole open-water thing."
Sumo made a noise in the back of his throat that let Jeff know he was wearing thin. He turned around and rested on his forearms. He stared down at the water but then glanced over to Jeff.
"It's pretty late. If we hurry back we might have time before I have work," Jeff said quickly as he started walking away.
Before he could get far enough, Sumo grabbed him and pulled him into another tight hug. He kissed the brunet's neck and ran his hands down his waist.
"Hey, we still have to make it back to shore, idiot." Jeff peeled Sumo off of him. "Now let's go."
Sumo hurried to the steering wheel and soon they were on their way home. Jeff watched the waves as they grew closer to the beach.
"At least wait until I have my door unlocked!" Jeff whispered harshly as Sumo kissed the brunet's neck and pushed against him.
"Hurry up," Sumo groaned as he backed up the slightest bit.
Jeff opened up his apartment door and quickly put his keys on the table by the door. Sumo grabbed him from behind and led the brunet to his bedroom. He was well acquainted with Jeff's apartment. Sumo began kissing Jeff as soon as they made it to the foot of the bed. Jeff turned his face away making Sumo groan.
"You left your…jacket here last time," Jeff said between breaths.
"Why didn't you bring it to me this morning when you were on my boat?" Sumo asked pushing Jeff onto the bed with a small shove.
Jeff spread his legs as Sumo put his knee between them. "You would have just left it again when we got here."
Sumo put light kisses on Jeff's pale salty skin. "'When we got here?' How did you know that this was gonna happen?"
"I know you Sumo," Jeff moaned softly.
Sumo raised himself from the brunet. "Did you plan this?"
Jeff sat up and pushed Sumo down to the sheets like he did earlier. "No Sumo, I didn't plan this."
Sumo narrowed his eyes at the brunet. He put his large hands on Jeff's hips. Jeff straddled him and bent over to kiss his soft lips. Sumo sighed and let the brunet take control for a little bit.
Jeff pushed up Sumo's black T-shirt and kissed down his abdomen until he got to the button of his jeans. Jeff groaned when he didn't get a response from the tan boy beneath him. Jeff sat on Sumo's waist again. "Sumo, the last time you invited me to your boat I gave your jacket back to you. And then you came back here for dinner because it was my night off. Then in the morning you took off without it again."
"Oh yeah, I remember that now." Sumo did a quick crunch to kiss the brunet. Then he flopped back down onto his back. Sumo crossed his arms behind his head and enjoyed the show Jeff was about to give him.
Now that Sumo was comfortable Jeff started to take off his shirt. He rotated his hips and tried to produce the friction that would get Sumo to stop lounging. The brunet bent down and began to kiss Sumo slowly, not stopping a moment with his lower half. It didn't take long for Sumo to start reciprocating. Jeff picked himself off the tan boy and sat back as Sumo started undressing. Then the brunet all but giggled when Sumo pulled off his pants. Sumo collapsed onto Jeff and it went from there.
Jeff woke from a snuggle-induced nap at around the time he woke up for work. He looked over at his alarm clock and sighed. He didn't have much time before work. Jeff patted Sumo on the thigh from the top of the blanket.
"Sumo, we gotta get up…" Jeff said faintly.
Sumo stirred beneath the blanket and tightened his grip on Jeff's waist. The brunet groaned and turned so that he was facing Sumo. Jeff placed his hands on Sumo's face and kissed his forehead.
"Come on, I have to go to work. And you have to rest up for work too."
Sumo opened his eyes and grunted his disapproval. "You should just move in with me already."
"We've talked about that, Sumo. I have to wait for my landlord to terminate the lease." Jeff ran a finger down his nose.
Sumo breathed out. "I'll be counting down. So far it's four months and twelve days. Then you'll move in and I won't have to wake up when you have to go to work."
Jeff scoffed. "You are being so dramatic."
"Four-months-and-twelve-days-from-now Jeff doesn't think I'm being dramatic," Sumo said.
"Yeah well, four-months-and-twelve-days-from-now Sumo admitted that he was a little childish."
Sumo chuckled and released Jeff from his arms. He kissed the brunet quickly and rose from the bed. He pulled on his boxers that he threw off sometime before. Jeff shuffled off to the bathroom for a shower.
The rest of their time together was spent with Sumo pulling out clothes for Jeff to wear to work. Jeff got dressed quickly, not wanting to deal with an excited Sumo again. On their way out of the apartment Jeff locked up as Sumo stood in the hallway. The two walked hand-in-hand until they had to split up on the street.
"Alright, so how about dinner on Monday? I don't think you have over-time." Jeff adjusted his bag.
"My place this time?" Sumo pointed towards the direction of his apartment.
Jeff looked up at him with questioning eyes. "Will you have more than some ramen cups and cereal this time?"
"That happened once!"
"Once is enough."
Sumo pouted but eventually caved. "Tell me what you want to make by Sunday and I'll get what you need at the store."
"I can live with that," Jeff said and kissed Sumo goodbye.
Jeff walked down the street happily. The last four years were horrible. But now, Jeff finally had Sumo again. And he was looking forward to a future with him. And he was confident that Sumo was looking forward to the same.
THE END
I hope you liked the final chapter! It was really fun and cute to write. I am thinking of a Chelsea and Sumo one-shot for kicks and giggles. I have no idea if it will actually be a thing though. I have spent so much time writing and reading gay fics that I honestly forget how to write a straight one. I guess I'll just have to figure it out, huh? Anyway, I hope you will continue to be patient and wait for whatever else I post. See you guys soon!
